The Core Elements and Implementation Strategy for Adopting Smart Work (효과적 스마트워크 도입을 위한 핵심요소 및 구현 전략)

  • Smart work, which is defined as work performed at home, satellite offices or with the smart devices to continually collaborate with the co-workers in anytime, anywhere using IT, is attracting much attention as an alternative work way to cope with the demographical changes of the low fertility and aging. Whereas some implementation cases of smart work have been considered as the success, the other cases have been reported as the failure to implement smart work practices. Nevertheless, there are few researches to identify the reasons of successful ways to adopting smart work. This study integrated the IT-based changes with the smart work practices to identify the critical success factors of smart work in individual, organization and industry levels. As the results, we found out the expected values of introduction, core elements of implementation, and industry characteristics to efficient adoption for smart work. Also, this study compared these evidences with the incumbent smart work policies. The contributions of this study is to develop the guideline to adopting smart work, the smart work implementation strategy and the improvement on the business process.

Considering Households' Occupation and Their View towards Forest Conservation (가구 생업과 그에 따른 삼림보호 인식에 관한 고찰)

  • 100 households' survey was carried out in 2007 in Chitwan to foresee the people's livelihood and their insight into the forest conservation. This analysis revealed that households' was mainly survived with multiple livelihood categories where 98% citizens belong to food crops and 92% to livestock husbandry. The households' income shared by agriculture (crop and livestock), forest and remittance was 37% and 20% respectively. Results further showed that income distribution was somehow equal with Gini coefficient 0.25 than with the 0.37 of landholdings size. But, average per capita income of households was lower than the national standard with 33% of households below the poverty thresholds and 0.0945 poverty gap index. Similarly, 85% respondents assured for the current degraded status of forest and 83% of households for not participated in forest management activities due to low awareness in 82% households. These findings shows the forest assets could be unduly degraded in the past and forest availability which is extracting from the remaining forest is also decreasing in the area. Thus, tendency of forest dependency has been shifting to the small scale farming, other livelihood sources such as local business and services. This information could be useful in planning and decision-making process in searching of better alternative for the local livelihood as well as sustainable forest conservation strategy.

Bigdata Analysis Project Development Methodology (빅데이터 분석 프로젝트 수행 방법론)

  • As the importance of big data analysis increases to improve the competitiveness of a corporate, a unified big data project development methodology is required in order to study the problem of a corporate in a systematic way and evaluate the problem w.r.t. a business value after solving the problem. This paper propose Scientific Data Anslysis and Development methodology(SDAD) which are integrated methodology of software development and project management for easier application into a field project. SDAD consisits of 6 stages(problem definition stage, data preparation stage, model design stage, model development stage, result extraction stage, service development state), each stages has detailed processes(47) and productions(93). SDAD, furthermore, unified previous ISP, DW, SW development methodologies in terms of the data analysis and can easily interchange the productions with them. This paper, lastly, introduces a way to assign responsible persons for each process and provide communication procedures in RACI chart to improves the efficiency of the interaction among professionals from different subjects. SDAD is applied to a Bigdata project in Korea Employment Information Services institution and the result turned out to be acceptable when evaluated by the supervision.

The Effect of Graphical Formats on Computer-Based Idea Generation Performance

  • Purpose Since human brains catch images faster than texts or numbers, infographics has been widely used in business in the form of "information dashboard" to enhance the efficiency of decision-making. Groupware, however, has neglected the adoption and use of infographics, in particular, in the idea generation process. Given that an overall performance of groupware-based idea generation is no better than that of the (paper-and-pencil-based) Nominal Group Technique, Jung et al. (2010) adopted the notion of infographics in the form of performance feedback to solve the productivity paradox. With the consistent results, which demonstrate beneficial effects of infographics on performance enhancement, an interesting observation that groups with the bar chart treatment performed better than groups with the dot chart treatment was made. The main purpose of this study was to find if there were a performance consistency between the outcomes from the previous study and the outcomes from the current study. Design/methodology/approach In experiment 1, we employed the same system used in the previous study (i.e., Jung et al., 2010). As individuals' contributions accumulated, the mechanism visually displayed individuals' performances two-dimensionally in the form of a bar chart or a dot chart. Then, we compared the performance outcomes from this study to the outcomes from previous study (i.e., Jung et al., 2010). In experiment 2, we modified the performance graph to test the effect of "playfulness" on performance by converting dots to car images. Then, we compared the performance outcome from experiment 2 to the outcomes from experiment 1. Findings Just like our interesting (and unexpected) finding in Jung et al.'s study (2010), the outcome confirmed a consistent superior performance of a bar chart. This implies that a bar chart is a better choice when stimulating performance with a visual aid in the context of groupware-based idea generation. Although a bar chart was criticized in a way that errors of length-area judgments are 40 ~ 250% greater than those of positional judgments along a common scale, such illusion turned out to be facilitating upward performance comparison better. Regarding Experiment 2, the outcome showed that the revised-dot graph is as good as the bar graph in terms of quantity and quality score of ideas. We attribute the performance enhancement of the resized-dot to the interaction between the motivational characteristic and the situational characteristic of playfulness because individuals in the revised-dot graph treatment performed better than individuals in the dot graph treatment. Given the order of performance (Bar >= Revised Dot > Dot) that the revised-dot treatment performed the same as (or lower than) the bar treatment, an additional research is warranted to reach to a consistent outcome.

  • Executions of SCM in a chemical company of which divisions produce petrochemicals, compounds, batteries, IT material and medicine directly affect their own profit. Execution level of SCM or optimization is very important. This work presents activities of SCM and optimization of inefficient issues in several industrial divisions using mathematical optimization method. The meaning is not only academic research but also making a useful tool which active partner deals with in his work. It is explained how to do beforehand and afterward optimization problem. The benefits are mentioned in the sections. The first of examples would be cover supply plan optimization, optimal profit business plan, and scheduling of a stretching process of polarizer based on minimizing raw material loss in polarizer production. The second example would be cover the optimization of production/packaging plans to maximize productivity of Poly Olefin processes, and the third example is minimization of transition loss in the production of battery electrodes. The fourth example would be cover scheduling of vessel approaching to berth. Because transportation of large portion of raw material and products of petrochemical industry is dealt with vessel, scheduling of vessel approaching to berth is important at the shore of large difference of tide. The final example would be scheduling problem to minimization of change over time of ABS semi products.

A Study on the Mediating Effect of FLOW between Marketing Stimulation and Impulsive Buying Behavior : The Moderating Role of Self Behavior Control and Sensation Seeking Tendency (마케팅자극과 충동구매행동 간의 관계에서 플로우의 매개효과에 관한 연구: 자기행동통제와 감각추구성향의 조절효과)

  • Until now, most of the studies about the impulse buying have focused mainly on the product of off-line shop, while there have relatively been very few studies about the product in internet shopping mall. The goal of this study was to understand Impulse Buying Behavior(IBB) for digital contents in the internet. Data has been collected from 278 respondents. The questionnaire method was adopted to collect the data for this study. The research was conducted by using SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 5.0. It was found that as follows: First, marketing stimulation factors, such as price, product, promotion was related positively to FLOW. Second, marketing stimulation factors was related partly positively to IBB. Third, FLOW has mediating effects in the relations between marketing stimulation factors and IBB. Finally, Self-Behavior Control and Sensation Seeking Tendancy has moderating effect in the IBB process. Thus, It also provides a core strategic Implication with Digital Contents Marketers.

A Study on Automatic Classification of Newspaper Articles Based on Unsupervised Learning by Departments (비지도학습 기반의 행정부서별 신문기사 자동분류 연구)

  • Administrative agencies today are paying keen attention to big data analysis to improve their policy responsiveness. Of all the big data, news articles can be used to understand public opinion regarding policy and policy issues. The amount of news output has increased rapidly because of the emergence of new online media outlets, which calls for the use of automated bots or automatic document classification tools. There are, however, limits to the automatic collection of news articles related to specific agencies or departments based on the existing news article categories and keyword search queries. Thus, this paper proposes a method to process articles using classification glossaries that take into account each agency's different work features. To this end, classification glossaries were developed by extracting the work features of different departments using Word2Vec and topic modeling techniques from news articles related to different agencies. As a result, the automatic classification of newspaper articles for each department yielded approximately 71% accuracy. This study is meaningful in making academic and practical contributions because it presents a method of extracting the work features for each department, and it is an unsupervised learning-based automatic classification method for automatically classifying news articles relevant to each agency.

Analyzing Factors Influencing Purchasing Behavior of PB Eggs: Focusing on Eggs from Large Distribution Companies (계란식품PB 구매에 미치는 소비자 요인 분석:대형유통업체 계란상품을)

  • Purpose - Eggs are nutritionally complete and one of the most popular natural foods. Moreover, the poultry industry is one of the important food industries. However, early industrialization of the poultry industry on its own did not lead to further development compared to other livestock industries. In this study, we investigate what factors influence consumers' behavior and how consumers' understanding of retail business affects their propensity to consume. This study is different from other studies as it analyzes how the brand names of manufacturers and distribution companies affect the purchasing characteristics or actual purchase behavior of consumers in order to suggest how these manufacturers and distribution companies can increase their competitiveness. Research design, data, methodology - This study conducted a survey of 250 randomly selected egg purchasers in discount stores from January to April 2013. Consumers' purchase tendencies were calculated through frequency analysis. This result was then utilized using cluster analysis to draw a conclusion about which purchase tendency influenced consumers buying three different brands of eggs or whether this tendency really affected consumers. As a result, the outcomes of Hypotheses 2 and 3 were not clear so we drew a conclusion with our analysis of Hypothesis 1. Results - While the outcomes of Hypotheses 2 and 3 did not clearly indicate whether purchasing tendencies affected consumers when buying eggs, our analysis of Hypothesis 1 indicated that consumers were affected by the quality of the eggs rather than exterior factors such as the brand name. Thus, we concluded that it is important to promote the excellence of the quality of the eggs. Usually firms buy eggs from farms and repackage them in order to sell them. In this sense, if consumers were aware of this egg production process, and eggs were fairly distributed to retailers, large retail PB businesses would also be able to enhance their competitiveness. Conclusions - The brand, packaging, retail outlet, and other external features influenced the purchase of eggs to a certain degree, while shelf life, grade of the eggs, cleanliness, and other intrinsic characteristics had more influence. In particular, shelf life was the most important factor influencing purchase. Consumers were influenced not only by intrinsic characteristics of the eggs but also by large-scale producers' brands. Consumers relied upon the brand despite reduced competition because they found it difficult to identify shelf life and/or cleanliness. Small businesses and/or large-scale retailers can remain competitive by maintaining the freshness and cleanliness of the eggs. Further studies need to investigate areas in which consumers' cognition of the product is poor and/or the purchase inclination with regard to less developed industries such as eggs. In this study, the greatest problem was that consumers did not consume in accordance with the current situation as consumers have preferred fresh and clean eggs for a long time compared to purchase decisions based on external brands and/or packaging.

  • 우리나라의 물관련 이슈는 수자원뿐만 아니라 사회, 경제 환경 등의 범위까지 확대되어 복합적이며, 기존 방법론과 기술만으로는 해결에 어려움이 있다. 따라서 새로운 기술적/방법론적 도구 개발의 필요성에 따라 통합수자원관리가 하나의 방법으로 받아들여지고 있다. 통합수자원관리는 지속가능한 수자원관리를 목표로하며, 물과 이와 관련 다양한 요소를 고려하는 통합적인 방법론이다. 그러므로 의사결정에 있어 전체론적인 접근이 필요하며, 세부적인 요소와 요소간의 연관관계를 파악하는 것이 중요하다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 통합수자원관리의 기반 도구 중의 하나인 통합수자원관리 모델링 환경인 WaterRing 시범시스템을 개발하였다. WaterRing은 모델연계에 있어 필수적인 표준성, 사용편의성 및 모델공유를 제공하며, 모델코드 자체보다 모델의 개발에 많은 노력을 기울일 수 있도록 설계되었다. 따라서 수자원분야 및 다양한 분야의 모델을 연계할 수 있다. 모델의 연계를 위하여 기본모델단위를 설정하고 각각의 기본모델단위의 결합을 통하여 보다 큰 시스템으로 구성할 수 있도록 하였다. 기본모델단위는 입력/상태/출력의 세 가지 기본요소와 내부수행 루틴으로 구성되어 있다. 기본모델단위 사이의 결합을 정의하기 위하여 BPM(Business Process Management)(Arkin, 2002)와 STELLA의 모델 결합방식을 활용하였다. 기본모델단위는 독립적인 수행단위로 표준적인 입력과 출력을 수행한다. 따라서 입력과 출력의 속성이 같은 기본모델단위는 결합할 수 있다. 본 연구에서 시범적으로 개발된 수자원통합모델링환경 WaterRing은 통합수자원관리의 실현에 있어 평가, 계획에 이용될 수 있다. 그러므로 향후 시스템의 개발이 완료되면 우리나라의 통합수자원관리의 실현을 위한 기반도구로서 많은 역할이 기대된다. 홍수기에 측정된 성과를 바탕으로 고수위대의 수위-유량관계 곡선식을 개발하여야 할 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구를 통해 일부 확인된 바와 같이, 일반적인 자연하천이 아닌 감조하천의 경우는, 각각의 수위대별 유량 값의 변화가 발생하는 바 기간별 혹은 간조와 만조부를 포함하여 유량측정을 하여야 할 것으로 판단된다. 청폐화담탕(淸肺化痰湯)은 LPS로 유도된 macrophage에서 NO와 염증Cytokine 생성량을 억제하였고 murine macrophage에서 NF-${\kappa}$B 활성을 억제함으로써 iNOS와 염증Cytokine 유전자 발현을 하향조절 하였다. 이러한 청폐화담탕(淸肺化痰湯)의 항염작용으로 천식, 기관지염, 폐렴, 결핵, 산후감모 등의 호흡기 질환에 응용할 수 있으리라 사료된다.im}$5개월), 9.44${\pm}$1.05 6${\sim}$ll개월)으로 개월에 관계없이 전반적으로 유사한 비율을 나타내었다. 분획물(첨가농도 15.6 ${\mu}$g/ml)은 60%의 저해효과를 나타내면서 농도 의존적으로 그 저해효과가 컸으며 250 ${\mu}$g/ml 농도에서는 80%의 저해효과를 관찰 할 수가 있었다. 에틸아세테이트분회물의 경우 디글로로메탄 분회물에 비해 다소 낮은 저해효과를 나타내었지만 250 ${\mu}$g/ml 농도에서 약 60%의 세포독성 효과를 나타내었다. 디클로로메탄 분획물과 에틸아세테이트 분획물에 의한 면역 활성 증진 효과를 검토한 결과, 디글로로메탄 분획물은 첨가농도 1 ${\mu}$g/ml에서 94%로 Yac-1표적세포를 사멸시켰으며 에틸아세테이트 분획물도 동일 농도에서 96%의 억제효과를 나타내었다. The Impact Structure on Co-Creation, Shared Value and Customer Satisfaction of Customer Acceptance for Servicescape: Focusing on Theme Park Service (서비스스케이프에 대한 고객수용이 공동창조 및 공유가치와 고객만족에 미치는 영향 구조: 테마파크서비스를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the effect of customer acceptance of servicescape on customer satisfaction focusing in theme park service. In particular, the degree of usefulness and ease of use perceived for servicescape will ultimately have the impact on customer satisfaction through the process of service co-creation and shared values creation. In order to demonstrate this structural influence relationship, a survey of 247 undergraduate and graduate students taking service management course was conducted. The customer's acceptance of the servicescape affects the co-creation activities of the service. It creates value and contributes to the improvement of satisfaction. Looking at the results of this study in detail, it is necessary to take into consideration the usefulness of the theme park employees' clothes and symbols, etc. in servicescape, and the convenience of the facility itself is important. This servicescape reveals that customers should be comfortable with the use of real-time information on the site and that customer satisfaction can be improved by creating new shared value. This study has been limited to the theme park service which has a large-scale service field and the distribution status of many customers in real time, so it is limited to apply to the other services with detail reinterpreting.
