In 1937, most Korean compatriot who lived in Yunhaeju moved to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in Central Asia following the deportation policy of Russia. Korean compatriot have kept their traditional life style for 140 years, without a deep relationship with Korea. This study examined the heating systems of Korean compatriot in Yunhaeju, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, Russia. A literature review and field research, based on Ethnography as a research method, was employed. The results of the research were as following: 1) Korean compatriot in Yunhaeju use a Pechika, which is a radiator that uses hot water, and a Gudul as the main heating systems, but the use of a Pechika was most common. A Pechika functions for cooking as well as for warming the house. The room with the Gudul was connected to the kitchen, so this space was used as a place for cooking and eating, for family members to meet. Many kinds of fuel, like gas and electricity, were used to power the heating systems. 2) Korean compatriot in Kazakhstan use radiators, with hot water as the main heating system, with ratio using Gudul used in this region being the highest of all the three areas. The most common fuels used for a Gudul were wood and coal, and gas was also used in cooking. The room with the Gudul was planned to be located beside the fireplace, without any walls. The people using a Gudul use that place for eating and meeting, as well as for family members to sleep. 3) The main heating system of Korean compatriot in Uzbekistan was a radiator using hot water, and those with pipes containing hot water buried under the floor were very common. The function is very similar to that of a Gudul, so most people using this type of radiator would sleep on the floor. Those people with a traditional Gudul not using them were mostly in Uzbekistan. The reason for this was that the family members had diminished, so it was hard work for elderly parents to manage an extra building containing a Gudul. Gas was the fuel generally used for heating and cooking in Uzbekistan. 4) Guduls were used in the Korean compatriot's houses in all three areas, even though they have changed in structure to adapt to the Russian life style. However, Guduls have still been functioning to maintain a traditional life style in Korean compatriot's houses for the gathering of family members.

Sex differentiation in the rockfish, Sebastes schlegeli, was studied by using a histological method for the appearance of primordial germ cell, formation of primitive gonad and differentiation of female and male. The primordial germ cells were buried under fibrous mesenchymal tissue between gut and mesonephric duct of pre-larva with a total length (TL) of 6.3 mm at 2 days after parturition. In juvenile of TL $5.2\~5.9cm$ at 65 days after parturition, the gonad composed of a large number of genial cell and formed of cavity along the lateral side of the gonad, differentiated to the ovary. At this time, the gonad formed seminiferous tubules by somatic cells, differentiated to the testis. In juvenile of TL $7.0\~7.2cm$ cm at 115 days after parturition, gonads divided into testis contained pigment cell and ovary absent pigment cell. S. schlegeli differentiated directly into male or female without an intermediate female phase at early indifferentiated stage. Therefore, S. schlegeli belongs to the differentiated type of gonochoristic teleosts. At 350 days after parturition, sex ratio was approximately 1 : 1(p>0.05).
In the Chosun period, the noble class usually buried the dead bodies in the lime-covered tomb. Recently their costumes are excavated while maintaining the shape. However, the textiles discovered from the inside have been degradated by a body and moisture. To conserve these textiles one of the most important thing is how to clean these textiles right after the excavation. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of wet cleaning to minimize the color change of textile remains. For this purpose, silk and cotton were dyed with natural dyes (7 red, 1 blue, 6 yellow, 4 green and 4 purple colors), then they were kept for 6 months with pork meat at $10^{\circ}C$, and were washed by four cleaning solutions (water, anionic surfactant (SDS), non-ionic surfactant (Triton X-100) and natural surfactant (saponin)) at $20^{\circ}C$ and $40^{\circ}C$. The color change was evaluated by color difference (${\Delta}E$) between non-treated and after washed samples. From the results, it was found that the color changes are significantly different depending on the washing temperature, textile material, the cleaning agents and the type of dyes.
Coating pipe(PLP) has been generally used in buried site for protecting the corrosion. To prevent the damage by occurring the defect, other construction or execution works, an anti-oxidation environment was forcibly made by using protective potential. Coating and protective potential are applied simultaneously, but corrosion rate or defects are not easy to observe because soil composition has many uncertainty. Also, defect of coating pipe can not be directly observed. A corrosion coupon can easily measure a corrosion rate directly. The corrosion rate was measured with 6 scenarios using corrosion coupon during about 1 year(6 scenarios are based on soil type and protective potential or not in this research. Resultingly, the corrosion coupon has not occurred in the case of protected by potential current, but corrosion has occurred in a non-protected site. The corrosion rate was measured at least in the clay, and the propensity of corrosion rate was similar in other soil(sand and loams). The local corrosion has occurred in the clay because of high water content. On the other hand, general corrosion was occurred in sand and loams. Commonly, sand is not to corrosive soil. Although, corrosion occurred in sand can be estimated by chemical component and valid with chemical analysis report.
The royal tombs of Baekje(백제), after the transfer of the capital to the Geumgang(riv)(금강) basin, changed to Songsanri(송산리) style(stone chamber) ${\rightarrow}$ Southern dynastic(남조) style(brick chamber) ${\rightarrow}$ Neungsanri(능산리) style(stone chamber). The most special feature of this process is the change of the ceiling structure. The ceiling had been changed from dome(Songsanri style) ${\rightarrow}$ tunnel ceiling(transition period of brick tombs and Neungsanri style) ${\rightarrow}$ a roof style(is Neungsanri style of three imitate type, trapezoid, triangle, flattened ceiling). The most special feature among this process is Neungsanri style(stone chamber), created especially in Baekje. The royal tombs of Baekje didn't lay stress on the mound, so the mound is not noticeable. It is result that they more stressed on basin of the boundary than showed off individual tomb, and this is count as an element of China Southern dynasty. Boundary of the royal tomb of Baekje, after the transfer of the capital to south, were changed from royal family's boundary to single independent's. Those are Songsanri's and Neungsanri's, these are the pair tombs(쌍릉) of Iksan(익산). That is influence of the Southern dynasty, reflect the theory of divination based on topography completely, this is influence of the China Sui(수) and the early Tang(당) dynasty's system of boundary of the royal tomb. Besides the royal tomb, they also buried a closely related person, in the boundary of the royal tomb. And facilities for memorial ceremony were existed too. An altar was equipped in Songsanri's boundary of the royal tomb, it was seen a kind of character of a sanctuary for progenitor. Neungsanri's boundary of the royal tomb were equipped with an open-aired altar that performed memorial ceremony about communal royal tombs, and also equipped a temple, was needed to pray for the happiness of the dead. This structure and arrangement are very similar to Seoakdong(서악동) of Silla(신라).

As part of further study on Gwangseungri coastal deposits which occurred at 10 ~ 15m above sea level and was analyzed as palaeo-coastal flood-type sediments, six burial ages of six additional samples from the two cross sections (KST1 and, KST2) near to the points of the past study were estimated and the geochemical analysis was performed. Further investigation on the cross section KST1 revealed a reversal of the burial age at the bottom of the section which was identified as palaeo-flooding sediments and supposed to have been buried about 350 years ago. At the lower part of the KST1, the burial age of the sediment layer was estimated to be 3,800 years. The lower part of KST2 sediments was identified as sediments that was formed about 6,600 years ago and about 20,000 years ago. Considering the inclination of the sediment layers, the coastal flooding sedimentsreported to have formed 700 years ago in the previousstudy are located at the top and the KST1 section analyzed in thisstudy seemed to be connected to the lower part. The chemical analysis showed that the relationship between these layers was not continuous but had a discontinuous characteristic influenced by a specific event, and the chemical composition also showed a rapid change. If we judge these together, the lowest part of Gwangseungrisediment layerseemed to have formed during the last glacial period but it was hard to find its origins clearly. On top of this layer, a fine sediment layer containing gravels was also formed.Itseemed thatsedimentation did not occur continuously, but was affected by temporary events in such a way that after a sediment layer was formed, it stopped. Since then, a coastal flooding event occurred about 700 years ago, and part of flooded sediments accumulated in the rear slope. After that, when a flood layer including additional granular materials about 350 years ago was formed, sedimentation along the slope seemed to have occurred.
Traffic data by vehicle classification are important data used as basic data in various fields such as road and traffic design. Traffic data is collected through permanent and temporary surveys and is provided as an annual average daily traffic (AATD) in the statistical yearbook of road traffic. permanent surveys are collected through traffic collection equipment (AVC), and the AVC consists of a loop sensor that detects traffic volume and a piezo sensor that detects the number of axes. Due to the nature of the buried type of traffic collection equipment, missing data is generated due to failure of detection equipment. In the existing method, it is corrected through historical data and the trend of traffic around the point. However, this method has a disadvantage in that it does not reflect temporal and spatial characteristics and that the existing data used for correction may also be a correction value. In this study, we proposed a method to correct the missing traffic volume by calculating the axis correction coefficient through the accumulated number of axes acquired by using a piezo sensor that can detect the axis of the vehicle. This has the advantage of being able to reflect temporal and spatial characteristics, which are the limitations of the existing methods, and as a result of comparative evaluation, the error rate was derived lower than that of the existing methods. The traffic volume correction system using axis count is judged as a correction method applicable to the field system with a simple algorithm.

In this study, the correlation between the damage type and operating conditions of the sleepers was analyzed based on the design data and visual inspection results for the concrete sleepers of the sleeper floating track (STEDEF) that have been in operation for more than 20 years. It appeared in the form of cracks, breakages, and breaks in the concrete at the center and tie bar contact and buried areas. As a result of the numerical analysis, it was analyzed that the change in the left and right spring stiffness of the sleeper resilience pad increases the maximum stress, tensile stress, compressive stress, and displacement of the concrete sleeper, and stress concentration in the concrete at the tie bar contact area. It was proved analytically that the sleeper resilience pad can affect the damage of the concrete sleeper. Therefore, damage of concrete sleepers in the sleeper floating track in urban transit could be caused by changes in spring stiffness of sleeper resilience pads. It was reviewed that preventive maintenance such as improvement and timely replacement of sleeper resilience pads was necessary.
The Pliny Letter, the first historical record of volcanic eruptions and disasters on Earth, was studied to better understand the Vesuvius' eruption patterns in 79 AD. The two-day eruption, which began at 1 a.m. on August 24th 79 AD, produced large amounts of volcanic ash and pumice, which were carried by the wind and fell on nearby cities. Furthermore, during the eruption, fast-moving pyroclastic flows flowed down the volcano's sides, and several phenomena such as earthquakes and tsunamis occurred. Cities near Mount Vesuvius were buried and destroyed by volcanic ash and pyroclastic flows. Previous studies were collected, analyzed, and investigated and the scope of damage was chosen from Pompeii, Herculaneum, Stabiae, and Oplontis. The sedimentary stratigraphy and thickness vary according to location and distance from Vesuvius in each region. Within the depositional layers, the remains of residents who died during the eruption were also discovered, and 1,150 remains have been discovered in Pompeii, 306 in Herculaneum, 111 in Stabiae, and 54 in Oplontis, but the exact number of people who killed is unknown. The eruption that exhibited the pattern seen in AD 79 was named the Plinian eruption after Pliny and classified as a new type of eruption as a result of Pliny's detailed description of the eruption.

Paspalum distichum and P. distichum var. indutum are perennial weeds of the family Poaceae that prefer moist environments such as waterfronts and waterways. The origin of both species is North America. P. distichum is distributed all over the world. However, P. distichum var. indutum occurs only in the United States, Japan, and Korea. For this reason, in many countries, P. distichum and P. distichum var. indutum are classified as the same species. In other words, P. distichum var. indutum is a different ecological type of P. distichum. Both species can reproduce and spread mainly by rhizome fragments rather than seeds. This rhizome has a characteristic that it does not germinate if it is buried in the ground with depth of more than 3 cm. As a management method for P. distichum and P. distichum var. indutum in agricultural lands (paddy fields), it is effective to combine cultural control and chemical control methods. In other words, combining deep plowing and harrowing can suppress the budding of water sparrow that has invaded paddy fields or fallow paddy fields. After that, these two species that germinate can be controlled by spraying soil treatment herbicides such as butachlor and thiobencarb or foliar treatment herbicides such as cyhalofop-butyl and fenoxaprop-p-ethyl.
