The construction accidents in temporary structures have ceaselessly happened and these mostly lead to serious disasters associated with public criticism. Recently, the accidents under construction due to incomplete or faulty design has repeatedly occurred such as the overturned girder accident in Jangnam Bridge, the submerged incident in Noryangjin and the slab collapse in Banghwa Bridge. In order to prevent such accidents due to the faulty design in temporary structures, it's important to set up the solid construction management system which allows the reasonable design change if necessary. In this regard, this study provides the basic data for the reasonable design change in temporary structures by conducting a question investigation to the construction, design, and supervising companies. From the survey results, the kind and range of the temporary structures which should considers the design change were suggested by the deduced reasonable processes.

Social infrastructure facilities that have been under construction since the country's high-growth period are undergoing rapid aging, and safety assessments of large structures such as bridge tunnels, which can be directly linked to large-scale casualties in the event of an accident, are necessary. Wireless smart sensor networks that improve SHM(Structural Health Monitoring) based on existing wire sensors are difficult to construct economical and efficient system due to short signal reach. The LPWAN, Low Power Wide Area Network, is becoming popular with the Internet of Things and it is possible to construct economical and efficient SHM by applying it to structural health monitoring. This study examines the applicability of LoRa LPWAN to structural health monitoring and proposes a channel usage pre-planning based LoRa network operation method that can efficiently utilize bandwidth while resolving conflicts between channels caused by using license - exempt communication band.

Unlike building construction projects, where the activity is repeatedly carried out in a limited area, civil engineering projects such as roads and railroads are carried out in a linear type in a horizontal working space over several tens of kilometers. Each activity is managed with a station number that has a unit of distance from the starting point to the end point. For this reason, since the work location information of the activity is a major management factor, the Gantt chart system that expresses only schedule information may have limitations. In this study, authors propose a method for constructing a linear schedule chart that can simultaneously express schedule information indicating the start and finish dates and location information indicating the start and end positions of each activity, and develop a system for generating a linear schedule chart. In the study, the coordinate axes of the linear schedule chart consisted of distance and date values on the X and Y axes, respectively, and each activity was expressed as a symbol that can infer the type of work to increase the visibility of the linear schedule chart compared to the simple bar chart method. The linear schedule chart generation system was reviewed for practical applicability by utilizing the actual schedule data of bridge structures in a railroad project.

In this study, the characteristics of water quality change of the three streams in Daejeon were analyzed according to the expanded installation of interceptors and wastewater treatment plant (WTP). Gabcheon 5 (Singu Bridge) location showed the maximum difference of the highest and lowest concentrations in the last decade. However, the recent water quality of this location was worse than other locations, because of the impact of the effluent from the WTP. In the upstream of the WTP, the Daejeon stream was relatively better than the other locations in organic pollution reduction, and this was caused by the investment for the management of the interceptors in three streams of Daejeon. According to the water quality standard of the stream water quality, the recent water quality of the three streams in Daejeon was acceptable within them in the most of the water quality items, but because the total phosphorus concentration of the upstream such as Daejeon stream, Yudeng stream, Gabchen 3 location did not reach the standard values, a better management of the interceptor was required in the upstream of WTP than its downstream. The upstream of WTP also required a better management of the interceptor than the downstream. The operation and management of WTP was required a high efficiency because the water quality of the effluent from the WTP incurred an adverse effect to the target water quality in the location of the total water pollution load management system.
Intelligent transportation systems are one of the most important new forms of infrastructure on domestic roads, and is a system that makes possible the most efficient movement of vehicles on a road. The High Pass system, which is a domestic intelligent transportation system, started a little later than in other countries but developed at a rapid pace. With the recent introduction of smart tolling technology, it provided an opportunity to stop and review the tolling system. This study aims to investigate the driving method and results of LDCC for domestic smart towing through case study. Unlike other companies, Lotte Data Communication Company has long invested in payment systems. It has little experience investing in infrastructure, but participated in the Smart Toll System at the Gwangan Bridge in cooperation with the Busan City government, to lead the development of intelligent transportation systems. LDCC, which has made new investments, not only exceeded its existing core competencies, but also upgraded Korea's tolling system's ability to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improved its financial performance.
In the past two decades, structural health monitoring (SHM) systems have been widely installed on various civil infrastructures for the tracking of the state of their structural health and the detection of structural damage or abnormality, through long-term monitoring of environmental conditions as well as structural loadings and responses. In an SHM system, there are plenty of sensors to acquire a huge number of monitoring data, which can factually reflect the in-service condition of the target structure. In order to bridge the gap between SHM and structural maintenance and management (SMM), it is necessary to employ advanced data processing methods to convert the original multi-source heterogeneous field monitoring data into different types of specific physical indicators in order to make effective decisions regarding inspection, maintenance and management. Conventional approaches to data analysis are confronted with challenges from environmental noise, the volume of measurement data, the complexity of computation, etc., and they severely constrain the pervasive application of SHM technology. In recent years, with the rapid progress of computing hardware and image acquisition equipment, the deep learning-based data processing approach offers a new channel for excavating the massive data from an SHM system, towards autonomous, accurate and robust processing of the monitoring data. Many researchers from the SHM community have made efforts to explore the applications of deep learning-based approaches for structural damage detection and structural condition assessment. This paper gives a review on the deep learning-based SHM of civil infrastructures with the main content, including a brief summary of the history of the development of deep learning, the applications of deep learning-based data processing approaches in the SHM of many kinds of civil infrastructures, and the key challenges and future trends of the strategy of deep learning-based SHM.
Ground failure such as landslide, rock fall land subsidence by heavy rainfall have damaged to people and property. Especially, the damage to important facility such as dam, bridge, tunnel and industrial complex may be possible. Therefore the ground failure must be assessed and counter plan must be prepared. So, the object of this study is to develop the spatial information system for regional ground stability assessment. For this, the topographic, geologic, soil, forest, land use, rainfall frequency map, and satellite image near 40 dams were collected and constructed to the spatial information system. The spatial information system was developed using Avenue in ArcView 3.2 environment and consists of pull down menus and icons. For application of the spatial information system, regional ground stability was assessed in Andong dam. The assessment was ground failure susceptibility and possibility. The spatial information can be used for regional ground stability assessment, prevention and mitigation of hazard, and management of ground as basic data.
I. introduction. A government goal at the present is established to make a welfare nation and to keep people's safe living, but it is criticised that when a large-scale disaster happens, the authority concerned could not deal with it, causing many people injured and material damage. Moreover, in these days, cities have many risk factors. extremely large and intelligent building, industrial facilities and underground equipment have many risk themselves along with scientific progress. The cope with disaster effectively, government must have efficient organization, skillful personnel, tool, facilities and so on. To reduce the damages, what's the most effective government organization\ulcorner II. Government organization for managing disaster In a few decades, a large-sized accidents broke out in korea, for example, collapse of Sampoong department store, break of Sungso bridge, explosion of Daegu city gas, gas explosion accident at Ahyon-dong etc. but government has not any adequate disaster response organization. Especially, after collapse of Sampoong department store broke out, Disaster Management Act is enacted to solve the past problem. According to Disaster management Act, disaster is limited in manmaid disaster. Therefore, in this thesis, disaster management is inspected theoretically, organization of disaster management for pattern of disaster, and role, duty of government organization, emergency relief organization system and actual conditions are analyzed. there are some problems. there are trials and errors. the government has changed the disaster management organization by the disaster management law. the organization consists of central and local government. but both of government do not work together harmoniously. in thesis, I would like to introduce the advanced nations disaster management organization, and study our central, local government organization. III. Conclusion Change and development of the government disaster management organization is the goal of this thesis. we have to increase public service in response and manage disaster. protecting civilian's life from the disaster is very important responsibility of government. there would be better way of government disaster management organization.
Sensors, equipment, ICT facilities and their corresponding software have a relatively short lifetime relative to that of constructional structure, so these devices have to be continuously fixed or exchanged during maintenance and management. Furthermore, software or analysis tools should be periodically upgraded according to advances in ICT and analysis technology. Conventional monitoring systems have serious problems in that it is difficult for site engineers to modify or upgrade hardware and analysis algorithms. Moreover, we depend on the original system developer when we want to modify or upgrade inner program structures. In this paper, we propose a novel design for integrated maintenance and management of a monitoring system by applying the mobile cloud concept. The system is intended for use in disaster prevention of constructional structures, including bridges, tunnels, and in traditional buildings in a local heritage village, we analyze the status of these structures over a long term or a short-term period as well as in disaster situations. Data are collected over a mobile cloud and future expectations are analyzed according to probabilistic and statistical techniques. We implement our integrated monitoring system to solve the existing problems mentioned above. The final goal of this study is to design and implement a monitoring system for more than 10,000 structures spread within Korea. Furthermore, we can specifically apply the monitoring system presented here to a bridge made from timber in Asan Oeam Village and a traditional house in Andong Hahoe Village to monitor for possible disasters. The entire system design and implementation can be developed on the LinkSaaS platform and the monitoring services can also be implemented on the platform. We prove that the proposed system has good performance by performing a TTA authentication test, web accommodation test, and operation test using emulated data.

A 3D laser scanner is widely used in various fields such as games, movies, medicines, art, design, etc. Many studies for utilizing the 3D laser scanner in the fields of civil engineering have also been carried out, for example, for systematically managing tunnel and/or bridge construction. However, since a software which is directly applicable to Korean construction system does not exist, the amount of data obtained from existing the 3D laser scanner is too much to handle in a systematic way. Therefore, in this paper, a new data processing technique was established which can rapidly and effectively treat the 3D laser scanning data. Moreover, a software that can systematically manage the tunnel construction was developed. The developed software can assess the construction quality of tunnel excavation such as under-break, over-break, cracks, leakage and efflorescence, etc. A 3D laser scanner and the developed software was applied to an in-situ tunnelling site, and verified usefulness of the 3D laser scanner. The developed software may be useful for tunnel maintenance as well as for systematic management of tunnel construction.
