GIS내 자유 도전성파티클 결함에 대한 위험도 평가 방안 (Risk Assessment on Free Conducting Particle in GIS)

  • The main hazard leading to breakdown in GIS(Gas Insulated Switchgear) comes from free conducting particles, which can cross between tee electrodes and cause dielectric failure under the influence of the electric field. Bouncing height of the particle can be an important factor to evaluate the possibility of breakdown occurrence. In this paper, how to estimate, outside a GIS, the bouncing height of the particle was newly suggested when GIS is in service. Both experimental results using 362 kV test chamber and computer simulation results on estimating the height were presented and compared with each other.

  • Before the Flap type GATE is introduced until, the Turnstile type GATE was plentifully used. The Turnstile type GATE is used plentifully from the Seoul metro, Busan Transportation Corporation and Korea Railroad Corporation. From the Turnstile type GATE, the micro switch breakdown is occurred by the contact of the micro switch which perceives a Turnstile rotation and the cam. The breakdown is cause of the passenger inconveniently. In order to prevent the breakdown which is caused by Micro switch contact, Microswitch support used the sensor in Turnstile rotation perception. The sensor which is used in test is Photo Sensor and Reed Sensor two type. The test result Reed Sensor was suitable in underground environment. Study on Reliability of Water Absorption Diagnosis through Precise Water Absorption Test

  • Accidents caused by water absorption in water-cooled generator stator windings often occur all over the world. The absorption into the insulator of the coolant, which is used to cool down the heat generated by stator windings during operation, leads to the deterioration of dielectric strength, and insulation breakdown. An insulation breakdown may cause not only an enormous economic loss but also a very serious grid accident that would compromise stable supply of electric power. More than 50 % of domestic generators have been in operation for more than 15 years, and water absorption tests performed on 50 water-cooled generator stator windings during a five-year planned preventive maintenance period beginning in 2006 identified water absorption problems in 10 of them, all of which required repair. Because the existing water absorption test detects this problem by utilizing stochastic methods after measuring the capacitances at the final positions of insulation breakdown, its accuracy is limited. This study demonstrates that water absorption can be more accurately diagnosed by utilizing method along with a more precise one.

  • 절연재료의 내부에서 부분방전이 발생하면 국부파괴와 완전절연파괴의 원인이 된다. 부분방전으로 생기는 트리잉은 절연재료를 열화시키고 절연 수명을 단축시키는 중요한 원인이 된다. 따라서 절연파괴의 예측과 절연재료의 수명을 진단할 수 있는 방법에 대한 연구는 매우 중요하다. 고전압 하에서 일어나는 트리잉 현상에 대해서 저밀도 폴리에틸렌의 트리잉 개시 전압과 그 진전 과정을 진성파괴의 견해에서 고찰하였다. 이러한 관점에서 본 연구는 고전압하에서 일어나는 트리잉현상에 대해서 저밀도폴리에틸렌에서 트리형상의 전계의존성에 관하여 고찰하였다. 결과로서 트리의 성장을 그 내부가 각각 유전체 혹은 도체라고 가정했을 때의 중간적인 특성을 갖는다는 추리하에 이론적으로 검토한 결과, 실험결과와도 잘 일치됨을 알 수 있었다.

  • Power semiconductor devices are widely used as high voltage applications to inverters and motor drivers, etc. The blocking voltage is one of the most important parameters for power semiconductor devices. And cause of junction curvature effects, the breakdown voltage of the device edge and device unit cells was found to be lower than the 'ideal' breakdown voltage limited by the semi-infinite junction profile. In this paper, Propose the methods for field ring design by DOE (Design of Experimentation). So The field ring can be improve for breakdown voltage and optimization.

Burley종 연초의 칼슘결핍엽 발생원인 (The Cause of Calcium Deficient leaf of Burley Tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.))

  • Field experiment was conducted to find out the cause of calcium deficiency of burley tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.), Liming materials and application rate were CaSO4 : Ca 35kg/10a, CaCO3 : 35kg/10a and agricultural lime : Ca 142kg/10a. The breakdown in tissues at tips and margins of upper leaves was developed at maximum growth stage. If complete breakdown and death does not occur and growth takes place later, giving the leaf a scalloped appearance. Upper leaves contained lower calcium content than other leaves. The stem and midvein of calcium deficient plants contained lower calcium and calcium minus oxalic acid, but higher oxalic acid contents than those of normal plant. Fresh leaves of limed plot contained higher calcium and oxalic acid, but not significant increment of calcium minus oxalic acid than those of unlimed plot. Since calcium oxalate is insoluble, it could precipitate within the culls if the calcium and oxalic acid are accessible to each other. It suggest that high level of oxalic acid in stem and midvein could be interfering with translocation of calcium to upper leaves.

  • This review summarizes some recent research into ways of improving the productivity of ruminal fermentation by increasing protein flow from the rumen and decreasing the breakdown of protein that results from the action of ruminal microorganisms. Proteinases derived from the plant seem to be of importance to the overall process of proteolysis in grazing animals. Thus, altering the expression of proteinases in grasses may be a way of improving their nutritive value for ruminants. Inhibiting rumen microbial activity in ammonia formation remains an important objective: new ways of inhibiting peptide and amino acid breakdown are described. Rumen protozoa cause much of the bacterial protein turnover which occurs in the rumen. The major impact of defaunation on N recycling in the sheep rumen is described. Alternatively, if the efficiency of microbial protein synthesis can be increased by judicious addition of certain individual amino acids, protein flow from ruminal fermentation may be increased. Proline may be a key amino acid for non-cellulolytic bacteria, while phenylalanine is important for cellulolytic species. Inhibiting rumen wall tissue breakdown appears to be an important mechanism by which the antibiotic, flavomycin, improves N retention in ruminants. A role for Fusobacterium necrophorum seems likely, and alternative methods for its regulation are required, since growth-promoting antibiotics will soon be banned in many countries.

Investigation of Degradative Signals on Outdoor Solid Insulators Using Continuous Wavelet Transform

  • Most outdoor solid insulators may suffer from surface degradations due to non-stationary currents that flow on the insulator surface. These currents may be classified as leakage, discharge and tracking currents due to their disturbing potencies respectively. The magnitude of these currents depends on the degree of the contamination of surface. The leakage signals are followed by discharge signals and tracking signals which are capable of forming carbonized tracking paths on the surface between high voltage and earth contacts (surface tracking). Surface tracking is one of the most breakdown mechanisms observed on the solid insulators, especially polymers which may cause severely reduced lifetime. In this study the degradations observed on polyester resin based insulators are investigated according to the IEC 587 Inclined Plane Test Standard. The signals are monitored and recorded during tests until surface tracking initiated. In order to prevent total breakdown of an insulator, early detection of tracking signals is vital. Continuous Wavelet Transform (CWT) is proposed for classification of signals and their energy levels observed on the surface. The application of CWT for processing and classification of the surface signals which are prone to display high frequency oscillations can facilitate real time monitoring of the system for diagnosis.

포화특성을 고려한 리액터의 특성 분석 (Characteristics Analysis of Reactor Considering Magnetization Saturation)

  • As the increasing of non-linear load, filter is coming to be high gradually in order to reduce the harmonic which occurs from the power conversion. The maintenance of passive filter is easier than active filter and it has been widely used in the industrial site. This passive filter is connected with condenser and reactor by series and parallel and it is installed at the front of nonlinear load. The breakdown of passive filter occurs frequently at the reactor side rather than capacitor. So the breakdown cause close examination is necessary. In this paper, we analyzed that the electric stress of reactor which is considered magnetization saturation at the passive filter. We confirm that the reduction of harmonics and the electric stress of reactor is influenced by the linear and non-linear element of reactor.

  • Due to the increased integration density of VLSI circuits a highly reliable thin oxide film is required to fabricate a small geometry MOS device. The behavior of thermal $SiO_2$ under high electric field and current condition has a major effect on MOS device degration and also the practical use of MOS device under irradiation has cause the degration of thin oxide films. In this paper, in order to evaluate the reliability of thin oxides with no stress applied and stressed by the irradiation under low electric field, the tests of TDDB (Time-dependent-dielectric breakdown) are used. Failure times against electric field are examined and acceleration factor is obtained for each case. Based on the experimental data, breakdown wear out limitation for thin oxide films is characterised.
