The sludge grown up in steam generators of nuclear power plants shortens the life-cycle of steam generators and reduces the output of power plants. So KHNP(Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power), the only nuclear power utility in Korea, removes it periodically using a steam generator lancing system during the outage of plants for an overhaul. KEPRI(Korea Electric Power Research Institute) has developed lancing systems with high pressured water nozzle for steam generators of nuclear power plants since 2001. In this paper, the design of a partial inter-tube lancing system for model F type steam generators will be described. The system is actuated without a DC motor inner steam generators because the motors in a steam generator make a trouble from high intensity of radioactivity as a break down.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Seo Dongil's voice technique on voice quality in patient with adductor spasmodic dysphonia. One patient participated in the study. The subject was assessed acoustically (Ave Fo, Ave Int, percent speech time, percent silence time, percent voice time, percent voiceless time) and perceptually (GRBAS scales) in the first and last session. Dr. Speech (version 4.0, Tiger-DRS) was used to compare acoustic parameters of pre-and post-treatment. Seo Dongil's voice technique consisted of relaxation, breathing exercise and phonation exercise. The results were as follows: First, Seo Dongil's voice technique tented to be effective on decreasing voice break and voice stoppage in patient with adductor spasmodic dysphonia. Second, GRBAS scales showed that Seo Dongil's voice technique was effective on improving voice quality of patient with adductor spasmodic dysphonia.

It is introduced an outstanding book about an important topic in occupational and environmental sciences i.e., the opportunities and challenges that may be connected with increasing the use and distribution of rare earth elements. These chemically similar elements, comprising the lanthanides, scandium, and yttrium, are involved in a number of essential technological applications, and their effects raise a number of human health issues of relevance to the occupational and environmental sciences. The book that I introduced here, "Rare Earth Elements in Human and Environmental Health; At the Crossroads between Toxicity and Safety" edited by Giovanni Pagano (Pan Stanford Publishing Pte. Ltd., Temasek Boulevard, Singapore) represents a break from that situation. It is essential to increase our knowledge about the environmental fate and biological effects of these technologically important metals in order to prevent unforeseen long-term man-made consequences to human health. This book is likely to become an important resource for scientists, engineers, and decision makers who understand the need for sensible exploitation of this resource.

The spray characteristics of DISI injector has a great role in engine efficiency and emission. Thus, many researchers have been studied to investigate the spray characteristics of hollow cone type and slit type injector which are used in DISI engine. In this study, we tried to provide spray parameters which effect on the spray characteristics such as injection pressure, ambient pressure and ambient temperature. In addition, we calculated $t_b\;and\;t_c$ to investigate the break up mechanism of test injectors and also obtained $C_v$ to evaluate the spray characteristics. From this study, As the ambient pressure increases in case of slit injector, $C_v$ decreases.

Many researches have been investigating small direct-injection diesel engines using the spray impacting on walls. Those systems have one or more raised pips to break-up the fuel and spread it widely toward a desired direction in a combustion chamber. In this study, the sizes and heights of the pips are determined by using a computational fluid dynamics code employing non-orthogonal grid systems. In order to find out the suitable pip-shape to a small chamber, the spray behaviors, occupied spary volumes and averaged droplets sizes are calculated with the variation of shape of the pip, such as, size and heights and inclined degree. The desired shape of the impinging land is proposed for the design of combustion system in small diesel engines.

The author proposed an equation of fading rate, expressed as ${\Delta}E$=${\Delta}E_{1{\infty}}({{1-e^{-k}}_1}^t)+k_2t$, where ${\Delta}E$=fading of dye (colour difference of N.B.S. unit), ${\Delta}E_{1{\infty}}$=extremity value of fading of molecularly dispersed dye, $k_1$, $k_2$=constants, t=exposure (hours). The validity of above equation, which is connected with the state of dye in fibre, was confirmed by experimental in a range of 2-3 colour fading in grey scale value for assessing change in colour visually, except the case of increasing the fading rate with the time resulted from the break-down of dye particles through the heat effect of light; it was also discussed about possiblity of evaluating of fastness to light of dye in early stage.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of goal-setting on Eco-driving behaviors. An additional purpose was to examine whether setting goals on target behaviors has spread effects on non-target Eco-driving behaviors. Three office workers who drive regularly participated in this study. An AB multiple baseline design was adopted. After baseline (A), participants set goals on two or three target behaviors(e.g., over speeding, put the gears in neutral, extreme acceleration) (B). Results showed that goal-setting was effective in increasing the targeted Eco-driving behaviors. In Addition, most of the non-target Eco-driving behaviors(e.g., extreme break, extreme acceleration) increased.

The majority of programming education in the learning place attaches importance more to grammar, memorization of the imperative sentence and explanation of the program language itself than the specific way to use the target language. In addition, it is mainly used to teach theoretical knowledge based on the text. Consequently, current programming education has not interested learners in the programming learning and has not improved their ability in programming problems of the real world. We therefore developed a learning tool of C-language, which is based on the Console Wrapper. The purpose of proposing the learning tool was to make the programming education break from the typical theoretical learning and to let learners be interested in the programming education. By using the dynamic screen instead of the static console screen, the learners could enjoy learning the program. As a result of this study, we could know that the programming education using our learning tool is more effective than the typical C language programming education.

The containment response during the first 24 hours of a low-pressure severe accident scenario in a nuclear power plant with a two-loop Westinghouse-type pressurized water reactor was simulated with the CONTAIN 2.0 computer code. The accident considered in this study is a large-break loss-of-coolant accident, which is not successfully mitigated by the action of safety systems. The analysis includes pressure and temperature responses, as well as investigation into the influence of spray on the retention of fission products and the prevention of hydrogen combustion in the containment.
