Customer satisfaction leads to customer loyalty, and customer loyalty affects the sales conversion rate and brand growth of online sales channels. • Product replacement (PPL) is used widely in marketing and plays crucial roles but the effects of the PPL attributes on a restaurant brand are not well known. Therefore, this study examined the effects of PPL attributes on brand awareness and brand credibility. In addition, the relationship among brand awareness, brand credibility, and brand loyalty was investigated. The study found that the characteristics of PPL, such as information and entertainment, affected brand awareness. On the other hand, inconvenience did not have any impact on brand awareness. In addition, information, entertainment, and inconvenience affected brand credibility. Furthermore, brand awareness and credibility influenced brand loyalty significantly. These results suggest that PPL can be a very effective way to advertise. Hence, PPL should be done with a sense of information and entertainment than simply with more frequent exposure to consumers, which that might cause inconvenience.

  • Emotion directly affects consumer buying behavior. This study examines Chinese consumers' emotion elicitation process toward a U.S. apparel brand in the Chinese market. Employing a cognitive appraisal theory, this study proposed and tested a conceptual model incorporating three factors of consumer global orientation as antecedents of consumer emotion and purchase intention as a consequence of emotion. Among the ten proposed hypotheses, eight were supported. Of the three antecedents of consumer emotion, exposure to global mass media and cultural openness positively increased Chinese consumers' appraisals of a U.S. apparel brand. Unlike these two antecedents, the effects of exposure to mass migration on consumer appraisals were found to be non significant. The relationships between appraisal dimensions and positive emotion were all supported. Finally, this study confirmed that positive emotions increased Chinese consumers' purchase intentions of a U.S. apparel brand. Theoretical and managerial implications were discussed based on the findings.

  • In addition to awareness building, TV media creates search behavior for the brand and the search result may link to a brand homepage and/or an e-commerce site. This study analyzed the impact of TV advertisements on a search volume at NAVER, a leading Korean search platform, in order to verify the impact of TV advertisements on brand-related search behavior. Results are as follows. TV advertisement exposure was significantly related to the amount of Korean search, English search, and total search. In addition, changes in TV advertising exposure also had a significant static influence on changes in search volume. The increase in the number of brand search was different by industries that carried out TV advertisements, and it was verified that the frequency of English searches increased faster than the frequency of Korean search as the exposure of TV advertisements increased. Therefore, domestic TV advertising volume has been verified to affect NAVER search volume, and the advertising industry and brand search language that conducted TV advertisements have been verified to be moderating variables. TV advertisements can be interpreted to cause brand search behavior in English even though it is not a native language for Koreans.

  • Recently, as social media users have grown, the resulting form of advertising has emerged, and one of the types is native advertising. This advertising method appears to be 52% higher than the banner, according to a study by the IPG Media Lab (2013). Therefore, there is a positive effect on native advertising, but it is necessary to maximize the effect. In this paper, the acceptor's attitude to the native advertisement and the shared intention are verified as to how the effect of the native advertisement can be understood and the maximized effect can be obtained. When the brand phrase was in the form of direct exposure, the subjects were positive about the advertisement and the brand attitude was favorable. Share intentions were also high. These results included suggestions to produce native advertisements in consideration of the attitudes and sharing of the recipients.
