소비자-브랜드 감성적 관계에 대한 사랑의 삼각이론적 접근 -이동통신 서비스와 단말기 브랜드를 중심으로- (Approach on the Emotional Relationship between Consumers and Brands based on Triangular Theory of Love -With focus on Mobile Phone Service and Product Brands-)

  • 본 연구는 소비자-브랜드의 감성적 관계를 형성하는 데 있어 가장 강력하며 전략적인 브랜드 사랑을 사랑의 심리학적 측면에서 계량적으로 접근함으로써 소비자-브랜드 관계의 새로운 방향을 찾고자 하였다. 소비자-브랜드 관계에서 브랜드 사랑은 어떠한 의미인가? 브랜드 사랑은 소비자-브랜드의 감성적 관계에서 가장 근본적인 것이다. 소비자들은 브랜드 소유를 통해 그들의 삶에 의미를 더하며 자신을 표현함으로써 브랜드를 사랑한다. 사랑이야말로 소비자-브랜드 관계를 가장 대인관계 차원에서 이해하는 척도이며, 감정 이입적 파트너십에서 가장 핵심적인 요소라고 할 수 있다. 소비자의 브랜드 사랑은 브랜드 이미지, 신뢰를 좌우할 뿐만 아니라, 브랜드 충성도를 통해 시장에서의 경쟁우위까지 영향을 미친다. 또한 브랜드의 위기 시, 위기를 극복할 수 있는 매개체로서, 오히려 관계의 전환점으로 작용하여 소비자의 브랜드 사랑 강도를 더욱 상승시키기도 한다. 이러한 시대적, 이론적 배경에서 본 연구는 소비자-브랜드의 감성적 관계로서의 사랑에 대한 심리학적 접근을 하였다. 사랑 이론과 분류 가운데 대표적인 Sternberg의 삼각이론을 중심으로 브랜드 사랑의 유형을 발견하였다. 이동통신서비스와 단말기 브랜드를 대상으로 서베이를 통해 552개의 설문지를 회수하고 요인분석을 하였다. 그 결과, 본 연구에서 발견된 브랜드 사랑 유형은 Sternberg의 사랑 유형과 매우 유사한 형태로 나타났으며, 제품 유형에 따라 브랜드 사랑 유형이 존재함을 알 수 있었다. 브랜드 커뮤니케이션에서 브랜드 사랑이라는 개념은 중요한 전략적 아이디어로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

An exploratory analysis and usability evaluation of fashion mobile applications - Focus on Korea and U.S. App stores -

  • The aim of this study was to find typology of fashion-related mobile applications through exploratory investigation and to investigate differences in Korea and U.S. App stores. And then, through the qualitative evaluation about fashion mobile applications, this study proposes fashion mobile application's design and contents which can be preferred by users. By conducting keyword search in each store, 122 Korean applications and 150 US applications were analyzed. Empirical findings revealed that there were seven major types of fashion mobile applications: brand, magazine, information, SNS, game, shopping and coordination. Information type applications took up the largest portion, and SNS and game type applications showed higher ranking among customers. There were more game Apps in US and more shopping Apps in Korean stores. More free Apps were found in Korean App stores, whereas relatively more paid Apps were found in US App stores especially in game, magazine and information type applications. And as a result of usability evaluation of fashion mobile application, users prefer SNS and information category application to shopping and brand category. Also users want continuous improvement and new contents for fashion mobile application.

복합원산지제품의 카테고리 유사성 및 매장유형에 따른 소비자평가의 비교연구 (A comparative study of consumer evaluation according to category similarity and store type of bi-national product)

  • 본 연구는 복합원산지제품에 대한 평가를 파악하기 위해 제품의 카테고리 유사성에 따라 구분하고 매장유형 별로 비교해 봄으로써, 복합원산지제품을 생산하는 기업들에게 실무적으로 활용 가능한 대안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 복합원산지제품의 평가를 제품카테고리 별로 비교하기 위해 소비자들의 심리적 기저를 바탕으로 공적사치재, 공적필수재, 사적사치재, 사적필수재로 구분하여 분석에 적용하였으며, 매장의 유형은 백화점/직영점, 아울렛/할인매장으로 구분하여 측정의 정교화를 기하고자 하였다. 검증결과, 제품유형과 매장유형에 따라 브랜드평가 및 매장평가는 상호작용효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로 공적사치재의 경우 브랜드평가와 매장평가 모두 아울렛/할인매장이 백화점/직영매장 보다 긍정적인 평가가 나타나는 것으로 분석되었으며, 사적필수재의 경우는 브랜드평가에서 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으나 매장평가에서 백화점/직영매장이 아울렛/할인매장 보다 상대적으로 긍정적인 평가를 보이는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이를 통해, 각각의 제품 별로 판매매장 유형에 따라 소비자들의 평가가 달라질 수 있음을 검증하였다.

소비자 활동 지표를 통한 국내외 스포츠, SPA 패션 브랜드의 페이스북 활용 사례연구 (Case Study of Using Facebook of Each Type of Internal and External Sports and SPA Fashion Brands)

  • This study selected a case study method conforming to qualitative research in order to analyzed how each type of fashion enterprises uses SNS in-side of fashion marketing based on content the researcher monitored and selected from the Facebook website for each enterprise. The standard to select fashion brands in this study is a graded list made based on ranking 5 analysis sites on social media (Socialbakers, socialDigm, Pulse K, BigFoot9, L2). The researcher sorted and then analyzed 2 brands that have many fan joiners and followers among fashion brands that were ranked top of the graded list, work in Facebook animatedly, and had representativeness in each type (SPA, Sports Brands). The study was conducted from January 2013 to March 2013, and the index of Facebook consisted of 3 kinds of elements (comment, like, and share). Each numerical value was counted to decide the monthly ranking. Content analysis was divided into public relations about brand, public relations about products, and customer participation and activities; consequently, the researcher investigated which content was post conforming to the ranking. The study analyzed the analysis results of each brand derived through the method of study compared to other brands. The results are as follows. In case of SPA brands, the category accounting for high rank in index analysis are public relation events to attract customer attention and products and offering information. The results of the monthly trend about whole post category were also similarly analyzed so the promotion goal that the brand wants to seek in priority coincides with the customer compliance rate. Next, in the case of sports brand, public relations for products offering information, event for arousing customer concern, and participation activities accounted for a high rank in the index analysis and posted the most in the analysis of the monthly trend for whole post category. The researcher came to understand that the direction of content for brands shown through Facebook coincides with customer sympathy.

수용자 집단별 혁신제품 확산 및 지속사용의도에 대한 영향 (Analysis on the Diffusion and the Intention to Use among Technology Adopter Categories)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine factors affecting the diffusion and the intention to use, and how these factors differ among adopter categories. A survey was done to analyze the diffusion of smart-phone, the most popular and innovative product nowdays. We collected 197 survey questionnaires from smart-phone user and analyzed the data using SPSS 18.0 and Smart PLS 2.0. PLS (Partial Least Square) analysis was implemented before multiple group-innovator, early adopter, eraly majority- analysis which is categoriezed by Innovation Diffusion Model of Rogers (1995). The results show that firstly, in innovator group (n=63), the functional and the safety value have significantly positive effect on user satisfaction. In addition, we found that user satisfaction and the brand loyalty are significatly associated with the intention of use. Secondly, in early adopter group (n = 67), the design value has significantly positive effect on user satisfaction and it has significantly positive effect on brand loyalty. Finally, in early majority group (n = 67), the design value has significantly positive effect on the user satisfaction and it has stronger effect on the intention of use and brand loyalty. We conclude this paper with the implication of this study to both academia, business practice, and policy making.

전통 패션상품의 시장기회분석을 통한 브랜드 마케팅 전략 제안 (Suggestions for Brand Marketing Strategies through Market Opportunity Analysis of Traditional Fashion Products)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore global consumer behavior with fashion products, Korean fashion products, and Korean traditional fashion products (i.e., Han-Bok). Clothing selection criteria for fashion products and Korean fashion products were included as major constructs far the comparison among global consumers based on their nationality. Other consumer behavior variables were shopping place, buying frequency, purchase experience/plan, preferred brand, purchase items, information source, purchasing usage, and the product evaluation of Hanbok. A convenience sample of 236 global consumers was selected for this study. A questionnaire was pilot tested, and the revised questionnaire was used for the interview survey. Descriptive statistics and ANOVA were used for data analysis. Various nationality were existed such as Europe, North America, Japan, China, South East Asia. The results indicated that the most important criteria for fashion buying were design, fit, and size in order. Fit, size, and color item from buying criteria were significantly different among global consumers by nationality. Country of origin was found as less important factor among global consumers. Department store was most favorable shopping place, and once a month is the most mentioned category in buying frequency. Preferred brands were Levi's, Polo, Gucci, and Prada, etc. Secondly, regarding the evaluation of Korean fashion products, textile quality was highly evaluated. Significant difference except design/style category were existed among global consumers by nationality. Thirdly, regarding the evaluation of Hanbok, the product evaluation of Hanbok highly represented as special event clothing, unique image, beautiful details and oriental beauty in order. Significant difference in good quality of textiles, oriental beauty, coordination with good colors and fabrics, beautiful details and unique style and design were existed among global consumers by nationality. Managerial implications were discussed.

현대 패션에 나타난 대화식 패턴 일러스트레이션의 표션분석 - 인체표현을 중심으로 - (An Expressive Characteristics of Conversational Pattern Illustration in Modern Fashion - Focused on Human Body -)

  • Fashion illustration as conversational pattern which is made up of human and daily story creates brand image and new cultural value in textile design. The purpose of this study is to analyze an expressive characteristics focused on human body in conversational pattern illustration. The method of this study was to analyze documentaries, fashion magazines and internet fashion web site. The results were as follows: The category of body expression was classified as the head, the bust, the whole body, and the others. Most of all, the head is higher frequency than any other part. The category of body type was classified as iconic reappearance and surreal fantasy. The former expressed gender images of woman and man in reality and showed high frequency of 90.41%. Above all, two types were to show the organic correlation between fashion illustration body and brand concept. The construction method of motif was classified as singleness of body, repetition of body, singleness of body and non-body mixed, and repetition of body and non-body mixed. The repetition of body showed low frequency and it was composed of regular repetition construction and irregular construction. The singleness of body and non-body mixed, showed the highest frequency and it was definitely to communicate fashion concept. In these days, conversational pattern illustration in modern fashion pattern strengthens brand identity and informs the fashion image as creative commercial art. And also, it satisfies cultural sensibility of consumer and categorizes public phenomenons in our times.

복합원산지제품 평가에 관한 실증적 비교연구: 제품구입경로, 제품카테고리, 소비자 특성을 중심으로 (An Empirical Comparative Study on Evaluation of Bi-national Product: Focused on Purchasing Routes, Product Category, and Consumer Characteristics)

  • 복합원산지제품 평가에 관한 수많은 연구들이 진행되어 왔지만, 아직까지 실무에 적용될 만한 구체적인 연구결과는 드물게 진행된 것으로 여겨진다. 본 연구는 복합원산지제품에 평가를 기존의 연구들 보다 구체적으로 파악하여 세분시장에서 요구되는 시사점들을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 소비자들의 복합원산지제품 구입경로, 복합원산지제품의 카테고리, 소비자들의 개인적 특성(조절초점성향, 제품에 대한 사전지식)을 반영하여 종합적인 비교를 평균차이검정(two-way ANOVA)을 통해 검증하였다. 분석결과, 제품의 구입경로에 따른 복합원산지제품의 평가에서는 오프라인 매장이 온라인 매장보다 다소 우호적으로 나타났으며, 제품카테고리별로는 필수재가 사치재보다 상대적으로 긍정적인 평가를 이끌어냄을 알 수 있었다. 한편, 소비자의 개인적 특성에 따른 비교에서는 촉진초점 성향을 가진 소비자는 예방초점성향의 소비자 보다 복합원산지제품에 대한 브랜드 선호도를 우호적으로 지각하는 것으로 확인되었으며, 사전지식수준이 높은 집단은 낮은 집단에 비해 제품에 대한 평가가 긍정적이라는 것을 알 수 있었다.

소비자의 대형 쇼핑센터 내 패션브랜드 매장 내·외부에서의 브랜드 체험 측정도구 개발에 관한 연구 (Study on the Development of Tools for Measurement of Consumers' Brand Experience Inside and Outside a Fashion Brand Store at a Large Shopping Center)

  • This quantitative study helps develop a measurement tool for consumer experiences inside and outside of a fashion brand store in a large shopping center along with a previous qualitative study that utilized a consumer interview. An expert group interview was conducted to verify the result of the previous qualitative study. Subjects were selected through convenient sampling. A self-administered questionnaire was developed to collect the data. We used 666 questionnaires for data analysis. To analyze data, reliability analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis and measurement equivalence verification were conducted with a statistical package of SPSS 21.0 and Amos 18.0. We used 27 questions in 8 factors for consumer experience inside of the fashion brand store: fashion product, VMD, salesperson responsiveness, salesperson specialty, salesperson's special treatment, salesperson's respect for customers, and positive/negative emotion. We used 27 questions concerning seven factors for the consumer experience outside of a fashion brand store that encompasses a large shopping center: experience with brand and product category diversity, experience with promotion and event, esthetic experience, experience with culture and entertainment, experience with recreational behavior, experience with reputation and sense of pride, and experience with customers.

페이스북 브랜드 팬 페이지의 경품 이벤트 마케팅 전략에 관한 탐색적 연구 (Exploring Sweepstakes Marketing Strategies in Facebook Brand Fan Pages)

  • Purpose Facebook is a social network service that has the highest number of Monthly Active Users around the world. Hence, marketers have selected Facebook as the most important platform to get customer engagement. With respect to the customer engagement enhancement, the most popular and engaging post type in the Facebook brand fan pages related to what was usually classified as 'sweepstakes'. Sweepstakes refer to a form of gambling where the entire prize may be awarded to the winner. Which makes customers more engaged with the brand. This study aims to explore sweepstakes-oriented social media marketing approaches based on the application of big data analytics. Design/methodology/approach we collect sweepstakes data from each company based on the data crawling from the Facebook brand fan pages. The output of this study explains how companies in each category of FCB grid can design and apply sweepstakes for their social media marketing. Findings The results show that they have one thing in common across the four quadrants of FCB grid. Regardless of the quadrants, most frequently observed type is 'Simple/Quiz or Comments/Quatrains [event type of sweepstakes] + Gifticon [type of reward prize] + Image [type of message display] + No URL [Link toother website] +Single-Gift-Offer [type of reward prize payment]'. So, if the position of the brand is hard to be defined by the FCB grid model, then this general rule can be applied to all types of brands. Also some differences between the quadrants of the FCB grid were observed. This study offers several research implications by analyzing Sweepstakes-oriented social media marketing approaches in Facebook brand fan pages. By using the FCB grid model, this study provides guidance on how companies can design their sweepstakes-oriented social media marketing approaches in the context of Facebook brand fan pages by considering their context.
