The recent expansion of large cities for economic benefits has worsened cultural inequalities within urban areas, eroding unique cultural identities and social values and deepening mistrust between regions. To tackle this, the idea of creating cultural cities is gaining traction, involving urban branding and cultural elements to foster balanced local cultural development. Current research primarily concentrates on case analysis in cultural cities, lacking sufficient studies examining the interplay of factors through empirical analysis, This study investigated whether Cultural City Formation Factors, which are resources of a cultural city, have a positive effect on City Brand Equity, City Innovativeness, Brand Personality, and Behavior Intention. For this study, questionnaires were collected from 310 people who continuously experience culture and arts in Seoul, and empirical analysis was conducted on 292 copies of them. Consequently, a significant impact was observed among the factors influencing cultural city formation, city brand equity, city innovativeness, brand personality, and behavioral intention. Moreover, it was verified that city brand equity, city innovativeness, and brand personality positively contributed to mediating effects as well as sequential mediating effects. It is expected that the results of this study will be used to establish the foundation for effective urban management and the development of strategies for creating cultural cities.

The objectives of this study are (1) to review previous studies in the context of brand management in consumer behaviors using costumer based brand equity (CBBE) and theory of planned behavior (TPB) as the basic foundation of the study; and (2) to develop a comprehensive research model by integrating relevant research constructs using meta-analysis. This study reviewed a total 173 studies from 58 published papers with 40 journals during 1991~2014 and developed a comprehensive framework with 16 research hypotheses. The results showed that (1) brand image, brand personality, brand association, and subjective norm are the important antecedents of brand attitudes; (2) brand awareness, brand trust, perceived quality, and perceived behavioral control are the important antecedents of brand loyalty; (3) brand attitude positively influences brand loyalty, which further influences brand equity; and (4) brand equity positively influences behavioral intention. This study fills in the research gap by integrating more research variables into CBBE model, particularly to include the influence of social context on consumer behavior through TPB. These results indicated that the integration between CBBE and TPB is meaningful and the comprehensive model can explain more variances than that of the individual model. Limitations, and recommendations for future research in this area are provided.

Most luxury fashion brands have a strong brand identity and the product design characteristics of a brand are critical factors that influence brand identity. The design of products influence brand identity and play an important role in the choice by consumers in which brand to purchase. This study investigates the impact design characteristics of luxury brands on brand attitudes as well as purchase intentions in the examination of the differences in the impact influence by product category and consumer characteristics. The product design of brands was evaluated and measured by innovative and traditional characteristics. The product categories were divided into apparel, bags, shoes, and accessories. The consumer characteristics used in this study are fashion involvement, age, income, and the amount of money used for purchasing fashion products. Sample brands, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermes, Burberry, and Gucci, were extracted from the Intel-brand's Luxury Brand Ranking 2008 and pilot tested for appropriateness. The data collected from 120 luxury consumers and 92 samples were statistically analyzed with SPSS 15.0, reliability test, factor analysis, ANOVA, frequency test, regression, and t-test. The findings are as follow. First, luxury brands were divided into two groups by innovative design characteristics and traditional design characteristics; innovative design characteristics show a significant influence on brand attitude and purchase intention. Second, only fashion related behavior factors among consumer characteristics became moderators when design characteristics influenced brand attitude and purchase intention. Third, the differences in purchase intention affected by design characteristics were found in bags, shoes, and accessories category. It is necessary for luxury brands to focus on innovative design characteristics and to specify the different needs of consumers through fashion related behavioral factors. This research will be useful to luxury brands in designing products and planning marketing strategies by offering specific information for luxury brand consumers.

In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the data collection was conducted for actual consumers who had experience using parent brand products. This study employed experiment and questionnaire survey and collected data of 186 was analyzed using clustering analysis and regression analysis. The main results are as follows. First, attitude toward parent brand has a positive effect on trial intention of the extensions. Second, perceived similarity and consumption experience of parent brand have moderating effects on the relation of attitude toward parent brand and trial intention of brand extensions. The results provide that both industry and academic researchers with a guide to process trial intention of brand extension from a comprehensive perspective.

As a result, for the hypothesis that "Brand equity(perceived quality, brand awareness, brand image) will have a significant impact on satisfaction," perceived quality, brand awareness, and brand image had a significant impact on satisfaction. Satisfaction was shown to have a significant impact on behavioral intentions for the hypothesis that "Satisfaction will have a significant impact on behavioral intentions" For the hypothesis that "Brand equity(perceived quality, brand awareness, brand image) will have a significant impact on behavior intentions," perceived quality and brand awareness had a significant impact on behavioral intentions while brand image didn't. The objectives of this study were to investigate university students' knowledge and expectation of functional materials for apparel and to examine how the knowledge and expectations affect their behavioral intention. For this purpose, a questionnaire survey was conducted. 500 questionnaires were distributed to the students and 409 questionnaires were used for data analysis. The data were analyzed by frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, regression analysis and ANOVA, using SPSS 12.0 package. As the results, it showed that the knowledge related to functional materials for apparel was medium level. Brand knowledge among the objective knowledge of functional materials for apparel revealed to have a lower level than the knowledge of clothing materials, product, use and wash & care. The level of self-evaluation knowledge among subjective knowledge appeared to be lower than the one of experience related knowledge. As the correlation coefficient of objective knowledge and subjective knowledge was low, it was thought that both of them must be considered in studying on consumer knowledge. It showed that the university students' expectation of functional materials for apparel was composed of physiological and physical aspects, social and psychological aspects, and practical and aesthetic aspects. The expectation was revealed to be generally high. However, the level of expectation to the practical and aesthetic aspects was lower than those of other aspects. University students' knowledge and expectation were found to have influence on their behavioral intention. In other words, it showed that the higher university students' knowledge level and expectation level were, the bigger behavioral intention was.
In order to identify the factors responsible for the recent drastic increase of imported apparel in Korea, an attempt was made to determine the variables influencing the purchasing behavior of imported and domestic apparel and forecast the purchasing intention with the use of Fishbein & Ajzen's behavioral intention model including both attitude and subjective norm. Based on literature review, the empirical study was conducted using the questionnaire for 900 college women and high school girls living in Seoul. Descriptive statistics, t-test, paired-t test, multiple regression analysis, and correlation analysis were made of 771 returned questionnaires using SAS program. The results were as follows : First, the results of assessing both their attitudes toward imported and domestic apparel and their subjective norms were shown to be different. Second, there was a difference in the attributes that had an effect on their attention to buy imported and domestic apparel. Third, those respondents having a preference for imported apparel were most highly influenced by color and price. While those respondents showing a preference for domestic apparel were most highly influenced by materials and comfortableness. Fourth, the validity of the prediction value of their buying intention was confirmed as it was shown to be more than coreelation coefficien r=0.65. In conclusion, 1) it was proved that both attitude and subjective norm were the important variables that could predict the consumer's purchasing intention, 2) since competitiveness in color and materials and brand influencing the consumer's purchase of and preference for domestic apparel relatively lagged behind in comparison with that of imported apparel, the domestic apparel business enterprise will have to make a greater effort to develop differentiated color, material and prestigious brand so as to enhance competitiveness with imported apparel.

Recently, companies that have already the brand familiarity based on IT technology are changing the way of financial transactions by providing mobile simple payment service. It is difficult to apply the results of research conducted on traditional financial products, although the familiarity of the brand positively affects the brand attitude and intention of use in the preceding studies. To confirm this, this study verified whether mobile simple payment services of a company with high brand familiarity can copy the service easily and have intention of use through advertisement acceptance. The empirical results showed that the advertising of brand with high familiarity could be a motivation factor to imitate new services more easily. This results is meaningful in that it confirms the importance of strategic advertising because the more higher the brand's familiarity is, the more efficient the advertising can be used in the mobile simple payment service.
