A sol-gel derived carbon composite electrodes (CCEs) were fabricated by mixing horseradish peroxidase (HRP), sol of tetraethoxysilane (TESO), and graphite powder. The HRP solution was added to the sol solution of TEOS, and then graphite powder was added to this mixture. The resulting carbon ceramic network effectively encapsulated HRP and shows a catalytic reduction starting at -0.2 V for $H_2O_2$. The optimum conditions for $H_2O_2$determination have been characterized with respect to the enzyme loading ratio and pH. The linear range and detection limit of $H_2O_2$ detection were from 0.2 mM to 2.2 mM and 0.035 mM, respectively. The common electroactive interferences such as ascorbic acid, acetaminophene, and uric acid were not affected upon the response to $H_2O_2$ at the HRP biosensor due to low detection potential.
The magnetic easy axis of the ferromagnetic layer for the dual-type GMR-SV (giant magnetoresistance-spin valve) having NiFe/Cu/NiFe/IrMn/NiFe/Cu/NiFe multuilayer structure controlled by the post annealing treatment. The magnetoresistive curves of a dual-type IrMn based GMR-SV depending on the direction of the magnetic easy axis of the free and the pinned layers are measured by the different angles for the applied fields. By investigating the switching process of magnetization for an arbitrary measuring direction, the optimum annealing temperature having a steady and isotropy magnetic sensitivity of 2.0 %/Oe was $105^{\circ}C$. This result suggests that the in-plane orthogonal magnetization for the dual-type GMR-SV film can be used by a high sensitive biosensor.

Advanced countries, animal wastes are produced using bioenergy and methane gas technology. In Korea, many researches are being actively carried out to develop livestock manure as a resource technology rather than a animal waste. However, the production of bio-gas using livestock manure is still in the process of development of functional livestock and compost because of low economic efficiency with livestock manure recycling technology. In this paper, in order to accurately estimate the manure output, It will calculate the manure excretion if you have finished input the number of pigs. In addition, we simulated the fertilization rate of three elements of NPK fertilizer per 100 square meters automatically.

With recent advanced in portable electric devices, wireless sensor, MEMS and bio-Mechanics device, the new typed power supply, not conventional battery but self-powered energy source is needed. Particularly, the system that harvests from their environments are interests for use in self powered devices. For very low powered devices, environmental energy may be enough to use power source. Therefore, in other to made piezoelectric energy harvesting device, PMN-PZT thick film was formed by the screen printing method on the Ag/Pd coated alumina substrate. The layer was 8 layers and slurry where a-terpineol, ethycellulose, ferro B-75001 as Vehicle, PMN-PZT powder used are fabricated by ball mill. The output power quality was be also investigated by changing the load resistance, weight and frequency. The made piezoelectric energy harvesting device was resulted from the conditions of 33$k{\Omega}$, 0.25g, 197Hz respectively. The thick film was prepared at the condition of 2.75Vrms, and its power was 230${\mu} W$ and its thickness was 56${mu}m$. The piezoelectric energy harvesting device output voltage was increased, when the load weight, load resistance was increasing and resonance frequency was diminishing. The other side, resonance frequency was diminished, when the weight was increasing. And output power was continuously it changed by load resistance, output voltage, weight and resonance frequency.
Since the sexual violence crime has a high probability of repeated crime, the electronic monitoring system has been introduced as a measure to it. And this system allows the police to know the location of former criminal around the clock through the electronic device, the former criminal has the psychological/mental oppression which can restrain the intention of crime to a degree. However, there is a limit in blocking criminals with strong will from repeated crime. The next-generation intelligent electronic anklet currently under study collects and analyzes the change bio-data in real time through the location information of electronic monitoring target and attached sensor. This study is aimed to predict the symptom of crime occurrence in advance based on this and block the crime intention in advance or stop the ongoing crime before it is expanded.
Indicators to quantitatively evaluate the body function may help to optimize the effectiveness of rehabilitation therapy for stroke patients. In this study, we analyzed the body composition in the paretic and nonparetic regions of stroke patients with hemiplegia caused by cerebral hemorrhage (7 cases) and cerebral infarction (13 cases) using multifrequency bioelectrical impedance. Specifically, we considered fat mass (FM), fat-free mass (FFM), FFMI index (FFMI), FM/FFM relation, body cell mass (BCM), basal metabolic rate (BMR), and BMR/FFM relation to evaluate the bodily function in the paretic and nonparetic regions. These values showed considerable differences according to grades determined by the stroke causes and the paralysis status. In the paretic regions, the FFM, FFMI, BCM, and BMR were low and the FM was high. In contrast, the nonparetic regions showed a high FFM and low FM. Furthermore, the paretic and nonparetic regions of all patients suitably fit a linear relation (slope: 22.17 kcal/day/kg) between BMR and FFM. Therefore, bio-electrical impedance measurements can be very useful to quantitatively assess paretic and nonparetic regions in hemiplegic stroke patients.

Salt stress is one of the major abiotic stresses affecting the yield of ginseng (Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer). The objective of this study was to identify bio-marker, which is early responsive in salt stress in ginseng, using proteomics approach. Ginseng plants were exposed to 5 ds/m salt concentration and samples were harvested at 0, 6, 12 and 18 hours after exposure. Total proteins were extracted from ginseng leaves treated with salt stress using Mg/NP-40 buffer and were separated on high resolution 2-DE. Approximately $1003{\pm}240$ (0 h), $992{\pm}166$ (6 h), $1051{\pm}51$ (12 h) and $990{\pm}160$ (18 h) spots were detected in colloidal CBB stained 2D maps. Among these, 8 spots were differentially expressed and were identified by using MALDI-TOF/TOF MS or/and LC-MS/MS. Ethylene response sensor-1 (spot GL 1), nucleotide binding protein (spot GL 2), carbonic anhydrase-1 (spot GL 3), thylakoid lumenal 17.9 kDa protein (spot GL 4) and Chlorophyll a/b binding protein (spot GL 5, GL 6) were up-regulated at the 12 and 18 hour, while RuBisCO activase B (spot GL 7) and DNA helicase (spot GL 8) were down-regulated. Thus, we suggest that these proteins might participate in the early response to salt stress in ginseng leaves.

Analysis of load on major parts of the tractor power drive line is critical for efficient and optimum design of a tractor. The purpose of this study was to evaluate severeness of the tractor PTO driving axle during rotary tillage operation. First, S-N (stress vs. number of cycle) curve of a PTO driving gear was obtained through the fatigue life test using a PTO dynamometer. Second, PTO severeness was evaluated during rotary tillage operation. Torque measurement system was constructed with strain-gauge sensors to measure torque of a PTO axle, an I/O interface to acquire the sensor signals, and an embedded system to calculate severeness. The severeness of PTO was analyzed using measured torque data during rotary tillage. In the PTO gear life fatigue test, breakage time and bending stress of the gear were measured by tooth widths and torque change during the fatigue life test. The S-N curve showed a good linear relationship between bending stress and number of cycle (life) with a coefficient of determination of 0.97. For PTO severenss evaluation, rotary tillage operations were conducted at two PTO rotational speeds (level-1, level-2) under different paddy and upland field sites with different soil conditions. Results of averaged relative severeness for PTO level-1 and PTO level-2 were 1.96 and 3.34, respectively, at paddy field sites, and they were 1.36 and 2.51, respectively, at upland field sites. The results showed that the PTO driving axle experienced more severe load during rotary tillage at paddy fields than at upland sites, and relative severeness was greater at the higher PTO rotational speed under all of the soil conditions.
Brain disorders such as epilepsy is a condition that affects an estimated 2.7 million Americans, 50,000,000 worldwide, approximately 200,000 new cases of epilepsy are diagnosed each year. Of the major chronic medical conditions, epilepsy is among the least understood. Scientists are conducting research to determine appropriate treatments, such as the use of drugs, vagus nerve stimulation, brain stimulation, and Peltier chip-based focal cooling. However, brain stimulation and Peltier chip-based stimulation processes cannot effectively stop seizures. This paper presents simulation of a novel heat enchanger network(HEN) technique designed to stop seizures by using a neural cooling probe to stop focal and spontaneous seizures by cooling the brain. The designed probe was composed of a U-shaped tube through which cold fluid flowed in order to reduce the temperature of the brain. The simulation results demonstrated that the neural probe could cool a 7 $mm^2$ area of the brain when the fluid was flowing atb a velocity of 0.55 m/s. It also showed that the neural cooling probe required 23 % less energy to produce cooling when compared to the Peltier chip-based cooling system.
