Bio energy development by using Low Calorific Gas Turbine(LCGT) has been developed for New & Renewable energy source for next generation power system, low fuel and operating cost method by using the renewable energy source in landfill gas (LFG), Food Waste, water waste and Livestock biogas. Low calorific fuel purification by pretreatment system and carbon dioxide fixation by green house system are very important design target for evaluate optimum applications for bio energy. Main problems and accidents of Low Calorific Gas Turbine system was derived from bio fuel condition such as hydro sulfide concentration, siloxane level, moisture concentration and so on. Even if the quality of the bio fuel is not better than natural gas, LCGT system has the various fuel range and environmental friendly power system. The mechanical characterisitics of LCGT system is a high total efficiency (>70%), wide range of output power (30kW - 30MW class) and very clean emmission from power system (low NOx). Also, we can use co-generation system. A green house designed for four different carbon dioxide concentration from ambient air to 2000 ppm by utilizing the exhaust gas and hot water from LCGT system. We look forward to contribute the policy for Renewable Portfolio Standards(RPS) by using LCGT power system.
Methane is one of the major greenhouse gases, recently, the biotechnological conversion from methane to high-value added chemicals have emerged as an effort to reduce methane gas emission. In this study, we optimized ectoine bio-milking conditions in which cells were repeatedly used to improve intracellular and extracellular ectoine yield from methane by using Methylomicrobium alcaliphilum 20ZDP2. First, the cultivation and intracellular ectoine accumulation conditions were optimized with respect to the growth phase and medium salinity to achieve the highest yield of synthesis. Second, ectoine excretion was optimized by determining the ectoine secretion time (15 min) in appropriate medium salinity under hypoosmotic conditions (1% NaCl). Finally, bio-milking of ectoine was successfully repeated more than 10 times using M. alcaliphilum 20ZDP2, and the ectoine yield was improved up to 129.29 mg/ DCW g.

Methane is the cleanest fuel and supplies by many distributed type: liquefaction natural gas (LNG), compressed natural gas (CNG), and pipeline natural gas (PNG). Natural gas is mainly composed by methane and has been discovered in the oil and gas fields. Coal bed methane (CBM) is also one of them which reserved in coalbed. This significant new energy sources has emerge to convert an energy source, hydrogen and hydrogen-driven chemicals. For this CBM, this paper was written to analyze the geological analysis and reserves in Mongolian Tavan Tolgoi CBM coal mine and to examine the application field. This paper is mainly a preliminary feasibility report analyzing the business of Tavan Tolgoi CBM and its exploitable gas.
Engine oil plays an important role in the mechanical lubrication and cooling of a vehicle engine. Recently, engine development has focused on the adoption of gasoline direct injection (GDI) and turbocharging methodology to achieve high-power and high-speed performance. However, oil dilution is a problem for GDI engines. Oil dilution occurs owing to high-pressure fuel injection into the combustion chamber when the engine is cold. The chemical components of engine oil are currently developed to accommodate gasoline fuel; however, bio-alcohol mixtures have become a recent trend in fuel development. Bio-alcohol fuels are alternatives to fossil fuels that can reduce vehicle emissions levels and greenhouse gas pollution. Therefore, the chemical components of engine oil should be improved to accommodate bio-alcohol fuels. This study employs a 2.0 L turbo-gas direct injection (T-GDI) engine in an experiment that dilutes oil with fuel. The experiment utilizes a variety of fuels, including sub-octane gasoline fuel (E0) and a bio-alcohol fuel mixture (Ethanol E3~E7). The results show that the lowest amount of oil dilution occurs when using E3 fuel. Analyzing the diluted engine oil by measuring density and moisture with respect to kinematic viscosity shows that the lowest values of these parameters occur when testing E3 fuel. The reason is confirmed to influence the vapor pressure of the low concentration bio-alcohol-fuel mixture.

Now discusses the potential use and applications of coal bed methane (CBM) in various industries. One of the options for gas monetization is gas to power (GTP), sometimes called gas to wire (GTW). Electric power can be an intermediate product, such as in the case of mineral refining in which electricity is used to refine bauxite into aluminum; or it can be an end product that is distributed into a large utility power grid. For stranded gas, away from the regional markets, the integration of the ammonia and urea plants makes commercial sense. These new applications, if established, could lead to a surge in demand for methanol plants.

Research was conducted on the production of bio-methane for city gas, from food waste digestion gas using two membrane-separation methods(4SBR and 3SDR) in a commercial plant. A purity of 98.9% can be obtained using either method. The recovery rate of methane from the digestion gas was 88.1% for 4SBR and 79.4% for 3SDR. the ratios of bio-methane production to treated digestion gas were 53.5% for 4SBR and 49.4% for 3SDR. However, the 4SBR method had a higher ratio of returned gas(56.5%), approximately twice that of 3SDR, making 3SDR the more desirable method in terms of maximum treat capacity. Therefore, 4SBR seems more economical when the digestion gas to be treated is less than 200 N㎥/day, while 3SDR is more suited to treat gas volumes of more than 240 N㎥/day. The relative deviation of each operation index, compared to mean values, was generally greater for the 4SBR method. Additionally, the correlation coefficients between major system indexes, such as bio-methane production and bio-methane draw out pressure(which is the main control measure of membrane facility) showed that these indexes are more closely related in the 3SDR method.
KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation) is performing the nation's first biogas-MGT project as an effort to encourage the utilization of wasted biogas which contains useful CH4. The goals of this project are to develop the Pretreatment system of Livestock bio-gas and set up the biogas-MGT co-generation system. The project will not only utilze flared biogas as precious energy but also improve the economics of the plant a lot. The pretreatment system mainly consists of sulfur removal tower, biogas compressor and many filtering systems. A computational fluid dynamics study in the bio gas sulfur removal tower and sulfur absorption filter was carried out. Understanding of the flow in the sulfur removal tower and sulfur adsorption filter obtained by this study can be used to identify the problems in the sulfur removal tower and to improve the sulfur removal efficiency of the sulfur removal tower. Resistance material modeling is used to simulate the sulfur adsorption filter, and the resistance coefficient was adjusted to reflect the experimental pressure loss value. And the pressure loss change with the flowrate is predicted

For the analysis of multiple-reaction intermediates for long-chain dicarboxylic acid biotransformation, simple and reproducible methods of extraction and derivatization were developed on the basis of gas chromatography with flame ionization detector (GC-FID) instead of mass spectrometry. In the derivatization step, change of the ratio of pyridine to MSTFA from 1:3 to 9:1 resulted in higher peak intensity (p = 0.021) and reproducibility (0.6%CV) when analyzing 32 g/l ricinoleic acid (RA). Extraction of RA and ω-hydroxyundec-9-enoic acid with water containing 100 mM Tween 80 showed 90.4-99.9% relative extraction efficiency and 2-7%CV compared with those with hydrophobic ethyl acetate. In conclusion, reduction of the pyridine content and change of the extraction solvent to water with Tween 80 provided compatible derivatization and extraction methods to GC-FID-based analysis of longchain carboxylic acids.

Currently, due to serious increase of pollution scones, lots of technology has been involved to reduce exhaust gas in diesel engine. But the amounts of exhaust gas can not be decreased somehow due to the increase of diesel vehicles. Moreover, emission standards of each counties are being stringent in advanced countries such as USA and Europe. In the near future, sulfur contents in fuel must be essentially reduced f3r health and environment because sulfur can basically reduce exhaust gas. Therefore, when will be applied to Bio-diesel and ULSD, they could reduce sulfur contents of fuel without aftertreatment and might conform the influence of engine performance, emission, smoke and fuel consumption.
The effects of surface treatment by $O_2$ plasma on the Bio-FETs were investigated by using the pseudo-MOSFETs on the SOI substrates. After a surface treatment by $O_2$ plasma with different RF powers, the current-voltage and field effect mobility of pseudo-MOSFETs were measured by applying back gate bias. The subthreshold characteristics of pseudo-MOSFETs were significantly degraded with increase of RF power. Additionally, a forming gas anneal process in 2 % diluted $H_2/N_2$ ambient was developed to recover the plasma process induced surface damages. A considerable improvement of the subthreshold characteristics was achieved by the forming gas anneal. Therefore, it is concluded that the pseudo-MOSFETs are a powerful tool for monitoring the surface treatment of Bio-FETs and the forming gas anneal process is effective for improving the electrical characteristics of Bio-FETs.
