  • This study was to identify the effect of resilience on academic burnout of nursing students. The participants were 300 students of nursing college located in C do, Korea through a questionnaire. Data were collected from November 1 to 16, 2018. The collected data were complied using the SPSS/WIN 24.0 statistic program with Paired t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation coefficient, Multiple Regression. The results were as follows. The mean scores were resilience $61.40({\pm}12.96)$, academic burnout $41.49({\pm}7.50)$ and a statistically significant relationship between resilience and academic burnout (r=-.512, ${\rho}<.001$). Multiple regression analysis revealed that academic burnout of nursing students was significantly affected by satisfaction of nursing major(${\beta}=.380$, ${\rho}<.001$), health status(${\beta}=.171$, ${\rho}=.040$), resilience(${\beta}=-.333$, ${\rho}<.001$) and The coefficient of determination for these factors, $R^2$ showed an explanation force of 41.0%. Resilience was associated with lower levels of academic burnout. These findings suggest that it is necessary to develop a nursing educational program in order to recognize the importance of developing resilience and to manage the academic burnout.

  • This study, as basic research which was intended to develope the surface reinforcement method using reinforcement material which is applicable to very soft ground in Korea, was aimed at proposing the design parameter for the surface ground improvement method. To that end, a wide width tensile test using geotextile, geogrid and steel bar (substitute for bamboo) and 49 kinds of the laboratory model tests were conducted. And the result the study suggested $\beta_s$, the stiffness coefficient to evaluate the stiffness effect of reinforcement materials. Then, it was also found that the stiffness coefficient, $\beta_s$ as the testing constant would be appropriate as high as 1.0, 1.1 and 1.5 for geotextile, geogrid and steel bar, respectively. And It was evaluated that the stiffness effect affecting reinforcement improvement effect would be reduced as the thickness of embeded depth increases and that RFe, the stiffness effect reduction coefficient would have positive correlation with H/B. Finally, it was confirmed that the bearing capacity gained from the method to calculate bearing capacity, which was suggested in the study, would almost correctly estimate the capacity, demonstrating the appropriateness of the proposed bearing capacity calculation method.

  • Porous SiC ceramics were proposed to be promising materials for high-temperature thermoelectric energy conversion. Throughthe thermoelectric property measurements and microstructure observations on the porous alpha SiC and the mixture of $\alpha$-and $\beta$-SiC, it was experimentally clarified that elimination of stacking faults and twin boundaries by grain growth is effective to increase the seebeck coefficient and increasing content of $\alpha$-SiC gives rise to lower electrical conductivity. Furthermore, the effects of additives on the thermoelectric properties of 6H-SiC ceramics were also studied. The electrical conductivity and the seebeck coefficient were measured at 35$0^{\circ}C$ to 105$0^{\circ}C$ in argon atmospehre. The thermoelectric conversion efficiency of $\alpha$-SiC ceramics was lower than that of $\beta$-SiC ceramics. The phase homogeneity would be needed to improve the seebeck coefficient and electrical conductivity decreased with increasing the content of $\alpha$-phase. In the case of B addition, XRD analysis showed that the phase transformation did not occur during sintering. On the other hand, AlN addiiton enhanced the reverse phase transformation from 6H-SiC to 4H-SiC, and this phenomenon had a great effect upon the electrical conductivity.

  • Chitosan ($\beta$-D-glucosaminan) is chemically prepared from chitin (N-acetyl-$\beta$- D-glucosaminan) which is an unutilized natural resource. We now report on the suitability of the chitosan matrix for use as vehicles for the controlled release of drugs. Salicylic acid and aspirin were used as model drugs in this study. The permeation of salicylic acid in the chitosan membranes was determined in a glass diffusion cell with two compartments of equal volume. Drug release studies on the devices were conducted in a beaker containing 5% sodium hydroxide solution. Partition coefficient (Kd) value for acetate membrane (472) is much greater than that for fluoro-perchlorate chitosan membrane (282). Higher Kd value for acetate chitosan membrane appears to be inconsisstent with the bulk salicylic acid concentration. The permeability constants of fluoro-perchlorate and acetate chisotan membranes for salicylic acid were 3.139 ${\times}10^{-7}cm^2$ min up to 60 min and that of 30% aspirin in the devices was 4.739${\times}10^{-7}cm^2$sec upto 60 min. As the loading dose of aspirin in a chitosan device increased, water up-take of chitosan device increased, but in case of salicylic acid it decreased. The release rate increased with increase in the molecular volume of the drugs. Thses result suggest that the release mechanism may be controlled mainly by diffusion through pores.

  • This research tried to find out the influence of organization nature on management outcome in security companies. First, in the relation between organization nature and management outcome (inside viewpoint) in security companies, factors of organization culture (t=2.534, p<.05) and job nature (t=6.425, p<.001), in organization nature, were shown to give statistically meaningful positive (+) influence on inside viewpoint, and the relative influence of independent variables measured in terms of beta coefficient was ${\beta}$=.226 for organization culture and ${\beta}$=.576 for job nature. Second, in the relation between organization nature and management outcome (study growth viewpoint) in security companies, factors of organization culture (t=2.070, p<.05) and job nature (t=10.507, p<.001), in organization nature, were shown to give statistically meaningful positive (+) influence on study growth viewpoint, and the relative influence of independent variables measured in terms of beta coefficient was ${\beta}$=.145 for organization culture and ${\beta}$=.741 for job nature. It may be concluded that the nature of security service organization affects organization culture relatively, with the implication that systematic educational practice system and organizational study should be accompanied for achievement of ultimate purpose of the organization. It is also implied that field support will be needed considering the job nature, because organization nature has a causal relationship with the specialty of security service job.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify correlations among married nurses' parenting stress, job involvement and intent to stay, as well as to clarify factors that affect nurses' intent to stay. This is a descriptive study conducted based on evaluation of 174 married nurses from one university hospital and two general hospitals (200 beds or above) located in C region, all of who had at least one child <6 years of age. Data were collected from Aug 20 until Sep 15, 2016, after which data were analyzed by aT-test, ANOVA, Pearson's coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. The mean score of parenting stress was $2.67{\pm}0.54$ out of 4, while that of job involvement was $3.11{\pm}0.58$ out of 5, and intent to stay was $3.56{\pm}0.79$ out of 5. Intent to stay was significantly negatively correlated with parenting stress(r=-0.186, p=0.014), while it was positively correlated with job involvement(r=0.345, p<0.001). Factors influencing intent to stay were education level(${\beta}=0.28$, p=0.042), job satisfaction(${\beta}=0.60$, p<0.001), weekend work(${\beta}=0.20$, p=0.042), job involvement(${\beta}=0.31$, p<0.001) and parenting stress(${\beta}=-0.22$, p=0.038). These factors explained 36.8% of intent to stay(F=21.18, p<0.001). Overall, the results indicate that intervention strategies may be necessary to increase intent to stay by reducing parenting stress and enhancing job involvement.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate factors affecting employment stress among Emergency Department students and reduce stress of employment. A questionnaire survey was administered to 276 students who experienced clinical practice among 4 emergency college students in Jeollabuk-do and Jeollanam-do at 4-year and 3-year colleges from September 10 to 15, 2017. Statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS 18.0 program and analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. In the results, there were significantly negative correlations between clinical training stress and major satisfaction (r=-0.192, p=0.001), significantly positive correlations between career stress and clinical training stress (r=0.222, p<0.001), and significantly negative correlations between career stress and major satisfaction (r=-0.245, p<0.001). In the multi-regression analysis, the following was discovered: higher clinical training stress (${\beta}=0.157$, p=0.005), lower major satisfaction (${\beta}=-0.211$, p<0.001), and higher career stress. Junior students (${\beta}=0.237$, p<0.001) and senior students (${\beta}=0.288$, p<0.001) had the highest career stress. Subjects with medium-level financial status had high career stress (${\beta}=0.173$, p=0.012). Therefore, this study suggests that colleges should reduce clinical training stress among emergency medical technology students, and more job support centers should be opened and job management programs developed.

  • Purpose: The Purpose of this study was to examine school health teachers' burnout, engagement, job demands and job resources and to identify the factors that influence burnout and engagement. Methods: The participants were 222 school health teachers working in elementary, middle or high schools. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: The significant factors influencing burnout were rewards (${\beta}=-.51$), autonomy (${\beta}=-.15$), and job demands (${\beta}=.13$). These factors explained 42% of the variance in burnout. The significant factors influencing engagement were feedback (${\beta}=.49$), rewards (${\beta}=.21$), type of employment (${\beta}=.15$) and autonomy (${\beta}=.13$). These factors explained 49% of the variance in engagement. Conclusion: The study showed that job demands increase burnout, while job resources such as rewards and autonomy alleviate it. In addition, job resources, such as feedback, rewards and autonomy, increase engagement among school health teachers. Therefore, in order to reduce burnout and increase engagement among school health teachers, it is necessary to reduce the level of job demands and to provide enough job resources such as rewards, autonomy and feedback by improving the job environment.

  • The mechanical and electrical properties of hot-pressed and annelaed $\beta$-SiC+39vol.% $ZrB_2$ electroconductive ceramic composites were investigated as a function of the liquid forming additives of $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$(6:4 wt%). In this microstructures, no reactions and elongated $\alpha$-SiC grains with equiaxed $ZrB_2$ grains were observed between $\beta$-SiC and $ZrB_2$. The properties of the $\beta$-SiC+39vol.%$ZrB_2$ composites with 4wt% $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ at R.T. are as follows: fracture toughness is 6.37 MPa.m1/2, electical resistivity is $1.51\times10^{-4}\Omega \cdot\textrm{cm}$ and the relative density is 98.6% of the theoretical density. The fracture toughness of the $\beta$-SiC+39 vol.% $ZrB_2$ composites were weakly decreased with increasing amount of $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ additives. Internal stresses due to the difference of $\beta$-SiC and $ZrB_2$ thermal expansion coefficient and elastic modulus mismatch appeared to contribute to fracture toughening in $\beta$-SiC+39vol.%$ZrB_2$ electroconductive ceramic composites.
