While investigating the Lauricella's list of 14 complete second-order hypergeometric series in three variables, Srivastava noticed the existence of three additional complete triple hypergeo-metric series of the second order, which were denoted by $H_A$, $H_B$ and $H_C$. Each of these three triple hypergeometric functions $H_A$, $H_B$ and $H_C$ has been investigated extensively in many different ways including, for example, in the problem of finding their integral representations of one kind or the other. Here, in this paper, we aim at presenting further integral representations for the Srivatava's triple hypergeometric function $H_C$.

The dynamic modulation transfer function (MTF) for image degradation caused by sinusoidal vibration is formulated based on a Bessel function of the first kind. The presented method makes it possible to obtain an analytical MTF expression derived for arbitrary frequency sinusoidal vibration. The error obtained by the use of finite order sum approximations instead of infinite sums is investigated in detail. Dynamic MTF exhibits a stronger random behavior for low frequency vibration than high frequency vibration. The calculated MTFs agree well with the measured MTFs with the slant edge method in imaging experiments. With the proposed formula, allowable amplitudes of any frequency vibration are easily calculated. This is practical for the analysis and design of the line-of-sight stabilization system in the remote sensing camera.

The Boubaker polynomials arose from the discretization of the equations of heat transfer in pyrolysis starting from an assumed solution of the form $$\frac{1}{N}e^{\frac{A}{H/z+1}}\sum_{k=0}^{\infty}{\xi}_kJ_k(t),$$ where $J_k$ is the k-th order Bessel function of the first kind. In this paper, we investigate the distribution of zeros of the Boubaker polynomials.

In this note, we consider a curved tube with varying cross-section formed by rotating open bounded Euclidean domains with respect to a reference curve, and successfully give a lower bound to the threshold of the Laplacian on the tube, subject to Dirichlet boundary conditions on the surface and Neumann conditions at the ends of the tube. This generalizes the corresponding result in [1].

The reactor impedance is calculated for a planar-type cylindrical inductively coupled plasma source by expanding the electromagnetic fields into their Fourier-Bessel series forms including the three-dimensional shape of the antenna. The mode excitation method is utilized to determine the electromagnetic fields based on a Poynting theorem-like relationship. From the obtained electromagnetic fields, a tractable form of the reactor impedance is obtained as a function of various plasma and geometrical parameters and applied to carry out a parametric study.

We have investigated the spectral characteristics of the semiconductor lasers locked to the sidebands of the master laser in this paper, which were expressed by a series of the Bessel function. The numerical model for the semiconductor lasers based on the typical Lang's equation has been extended in order to take into account the simultaneous injection of the multiple sidebands of the directly modulated ML. We analyses characteristics of direct intensity modulation.

In this paper our aim is to establish some geometric properties (like starlikeness, convexity and close-to-convexity) for the generalized and normalized Dini functions. In order to prove our main results, we use some inequalities for ratio of these functions in normalized form and classical result of Fejer.

연속방정식 및 운동방정식을 사용하여 임의의 수심에 적용이 가능한 장파의 해를 해석적인 방법을 사용하여 유도하였다. 수심이 선형적으로 변화할 경우 지배 방정식의 해가 Bessel 함수로 표현된다는 사실을 응용하여 임의의 수심을 선형적으로 변화하는 구간의 연속으로 가정하여 해를 유도하였다. 기존에 유도된 해석 해와 비교를 하여 본 논문에서 유도된 해석 해의 타당성을 검증하였으며, 직립 구조물에 적용하여 해저 지형이 직립구조물의 처오름에 끼치는 영향을 조사하였다.
