초·중·고등학교 성교육 교재 분석에 관한 연구 (Analysis of Education Materials on Sexuality)

  • Most education materials on sexuality developed in the past 10 years have not been thoroughly evaluated. This study provides results from a content analysis of 5 education materials for primary, middle and high school student. The results of this study were as follows: The Analysis Framework was developed to measure content in the education materials. It was organized into six domains. They are "Human Development", "Relationship", "Personal Skills", "Sexual Behavior", "Sexual Health", "Society and Culture". Each was associated topics and age appropriate developmental guides. The standard for analysis was the developmental guide suggested by the analysis framework. Each education material was assessed for developemtal guidance and its appropriateness for primary, middle and high school students. The total number of "being" responses to each developmental guidance equaled the score the material earned. These scores then were judged as to how well each education materials was comprehensive. 3 of 5 education materials were addressed as less than half the developmental guidline. Certain education materials were less comprehensive than others. I want to know 'Sexuality' covered the fewest developmental guidliness (34.6%). Interstingly, certain domains received much more coverage across all education materials than others. Most education materials provided instruction concerning "Human Development" (62.6%), "Sexual Health" (61.0%). However, topics such as "Personal Skills" (16.2%), "Relationship" (44.1%), "Sexual Behavior" (46.8%), "Society and Culture" (48.6%) were rarely addressed. Three topic, "negotiation", "sexual fantasy", "sexual dysfunction", were never addressed by most of the materials. Because several of the education material contained gender and sexual orientation biases. Certain topics such as "sexual identity and orientation" and "Gender role" were not adequately addressed by most of the material. Unfortunately, the overall findings of this study revealed that most of the education materials were considered insufficient for students. Because this study focused on whether or not the education materials addressed the developmental guidlines, further research is recommended to evaluate and addressed each developmental guidline.

경로유도정보와 방향지시등을 연동한 추가정보 제공 시스템 개발의 기초 연구 (Fundamental Research on Developing Additional Information System by Connecting Route Guidance Information with Turn Signal Operation)

  • A car navigation system as an in-vehicle route guidance information (RGI) offers a state-of-the-art technological solution to driver navigation in an unfamiliar area. However, the RGI is provided by some pre-determined options in terms of the interface between a driver and a car navigation system. Drivers occasionally pass the target intersection owing to non- or late- recognizing it. This paper is examined the position of driver's turn signal operation and intersection recognition approaching at the target intersection which is difficult to identify, as a fundamental research on developing the additional RGI connecting with the turn signal control. The field experiment was conducted to measure distances of the turn signal operation and the intersection recognition from the target intersection according to left turns, right turns, and landmarks at adjacent intersection. And glance behavior to the car navigation display was evaluated by using an eye camera. The results of the field study indicate that, most case of driving, drivers operate the turn signal until 40m to 50m before coming to the target intersection. The driving simulator experiment was performed to examine the effectiveness of providing the additional RGI when drivers did not operate the turn signal approaching at the target intersection based on the results of the field study. To provide the additional RGI is effective for the intersection identification and recognition, and expected to improve the traffic safety and the comfort for drivers.

도로 주행환경 변화와 핸들종류에 따른 운전자 부하 및 행동특성 (Driver Characteristics and Workload according to Changing Driving Environment and Types of Steering Wheel)

  • The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of the driving performance and workload according to changing driving environment and types of steering wheel. Twelve drivers who participated in this study consisted of two groups; six Japanese as the left-lane drivers who was accustomed to driving on left-hand side of the road, and six Europeans, Americans, and Korean as the right-lane drivers who was accustomed to driving on right-hand side of the road. They were asked to operate a driving simulator while using two different types of steering wheel (for the left-hand side driving and the right-hand side driving). During the experiment, a range of data were measured including driving performance, mental workload, and eye movements which were recorded in order to identify the amount of time looking towards the in-vehicle route guidance. Results indicated that the use of the steering wheel by parallel moving led to increase high attentional demand and worse glance behavior to traffic signs for the left-lane drivers. In the case of the right-lane drivers, the effects by changing driving direction were more effective than the types of steering wheel due to their habit or traits.

부모-자녀 독서상호작용 프로그램 개발 및 평가 (Development and Evaluation of a Parent-Child Reading Interaction Program)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate a parent-child reading interaction program. Based on the importance of the parent-child relationship and the home literacy environment vis-a-vis the extent to which reading is encouraged, and with regard to the existing empirical research in this field, a five-session parent-child reading interaction program has been developed, targeting 18 parents with children enrolled in th lower grades of elementary school. The effectiveness of this program has been evaluated by a pretest and post test and then analyzed by a paired t-test. The findings are as follows: 1) Following the implementation of this program, there were improvements in scores related to the home literacy environment, the encouragement of reading, and the attitude of the child toward reading. 2) In addition, there was an increase in the level of the mother's "rational guidance" parenting while tendencies toward overprotective and hostile parenting traits declined. The importance of the parent-child relationship and home literacy environment concerning reading guidance was discussed.

교차로 인지와 방향지시등 조작 지점에 관한 검토 (Position of Intersection Recognition and Tum Signal Operation Approaching at Target Intersection)

However, the RGI is provided by a pre-determined option, drivers occasionally pass the target intersection owing to non- or late- recognizing it. The purpose of this experiment is to examine the position of driver's tum signal operation and intersection recognition approaching at the target intersection which is difficult to identify as a preliminary research on developing the additional RGI connecting with the tum signal control. The field experiment was conducted to measure distances of the turn signal operation and intersection recognition from the target intersection according to driving lanes and landmarks at adjacent intersection. And, glance behavior to the car navigation display was evaluated by using an eye camera. The results indicate that drivers operate the turn signal after confirming a landmark in the case of the intersection with it. However, most case of driving, drivers operate the tum signal at 40 to 50m before coming to the target. To provide the additional RGI, when drivers do not operate the tum signal approaching at the target intersection based on the results, is expected to improve the traffic safety and the comfort for drivers.

저소득가정 영유아 어머니를 위한 '시소와 그네' 교육중재 프로그램의 효과 (The Effects of the Seesaw & Swing Early Intervention Program on Mothers with Young Children from Low-Income Families)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the Seesaw & Swing early intervention program on the positive changes of mothers with young children who come from low-income families. It measures their child-rearing efficacy and their child-rearing behaviors. The Seesaw & Swing early intervention program was developed by the Community Chest of Korea [13]. The subjects for this study consisted of 96 mothers (49 in the service group, 47 in the control group) from low-income families. The instruments used were the child-rearing efficacy scale [4] and the child-rearing behavior scale [29]. The results of this study indicated that the Seesaw & Swing early intervention program produced positive effects in child-rearing efficacy as well as in child-rearing behaviors: namely, healthy-rearing abilities, guidance abilities, and discipline abilities in child-rearing efficacy; and affection, rational guidance, authoritative control, encouragement and concern in child-rearing behaviors. In conclusion, for mothers with young children coming from low-income families, the Seesaw & Swing early intervention program can be said to be an effective parent education program, which goes some way towards ending the intergenerational transition of poverty in Korea.

문제해결 과정에서 메타인지적 활동 안내를 통한 고등학생의 메타인지 능력 활성화 가능성 탐색 (A case study on activating of high school student's metacognitive abilities in mathematical problem solving process using guidance material for metacognitive activities)

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate a new method for activating the metacognitive abilities that play a key role in the Mathematical Problem Solving Process (MPSP). The proposed research question is as follows: Can the MPSP activate metacognitive abilities of high school students in the pencil-and-paper environment using guidance material for metacognitive activities\ulcorner To solve this question, two case studies have been carried out. Two students for the study were selected via informal interview. They voluntarily took part in 13 experimental lectures. The activating paths of their metacognitive abilities in the MPSP were chronically described and analyzed. All the activating processes of the students focusing on the aspects of metacognitive behaviors were analyzed by means of interview, observation, self-report, and activity data. The two high school students participating in the MPSP voluntarily recognized and reflected their deficiencies in metacognitive abilities, and therefore maximized their own performance. They made quite significant progress in the course of activating their metacognitive abilities through voluntary participation and gained greater confidence in the MPSP. Hence they have become good problem solvers. They expressed not only the factors influencing their behavior but also their self-awareness during the metacognitive activities. In the long run, this experiment will increase possibilities for the internalization of the metacognitive process.

영재 아동의 정서적 특성에 관한 임상연구: 정신 건장을 위한 지도 (The emotional characeristics of gifted children: Suggestions for guidance of the gifted children's mental health)

  • The present study dealt with the emotional characteristics, emotional development of gifted children and emphasized the emotional intelligence as the meta-ability for the development of creativity and intellectual abilities. The emotional vulnerability of gifted children was also hscussed with endogenous and exogeneous problems, internal dyssynchrony, and social context. To find out the real chief problems the gifted children have, the contents of individual counselling with mothers of the gifted in KAGE were categorized based on the Lazarus' BASIC ID and DSM-IV dagnosis. Total 128 cases were analyzed. Among them, 61 cases were from elementary schoolers, however, percentile data showed the most, 34% of infant class aged 30 months - 48 months. Usually, the number of counselling in each person was 1, but 17 cases were done more than 3 times. And, 8 cases had experiences to visit the other counseling center or neuropsychiatric clinic. The categories of chief problems were 10: information about gifted program, behavior, affect, sensation, school and cognitive functions, imagery and self concept, interpersonal relationship, personality, mental illness, and others. Many problems in each category were listed. Finally, the present study suggested the several guidance plan possibly useful in the gifted education center for the purpose of prevention of emotional difficulties and support for the mental health, including professional personnel, child counselling, emotional education, and parent counseling & education.

임상실습을 경험한 응급구조학과 학생들의 진로정체감, 진로결정수준 및 진로준비행동의 관계 (Relationship between career identity, career decision level and career preparation behavior of paramedic students after clinical practice)

  • Purpose: This study investigated career identity, decision-making, and preparation behaviors among emergency medical service (EMS) students after clinical practice, aiming to enhance their career guidance by identifying influential factors. Methods: This study targeted 178 students enrolled in the Department of Paramedicine in K-do, G-do, and D metropolitan cities. Data were collected between March 14th and April 30, 2024. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0, employing techniques such as frequency, correlation, and multiple regression analyses. Results: The findings indicated that components of career identity, encompassing affective and cognitive aspects, exerted significant effects on career decision levels (career assurance and career indecision) (p<.01, p<.001), whereas behavioral factors influenced aspects of career preparation, such as tool preparation, information collection, and practical effort(p<.001). Moreover, career decision levels (career assurance and career indecision) were found to affect information collection, a subcomponent of career preparation(p<.05, p<.01). Conclusion: Considering these factors and actively empathizing with and counseling students would lead to effective career guidance in the field of Emergency Medical Services.

High School Girls′ Clothing Behavior according to Self-Criticism and Self-Satisfaction

  • The Purpose of the study was to analysis high school girl's clothing behavior according to self-criticism and self-satisfaction for a synthetic understanding of the relationship between self-concept and clothing behavior. The study also intended to provide useful data and information for effective counseling activities in high schools. Normative-descriptive survery method was employed to implement the present study. Won-Shik Jung's standardized self-concept test was used for the measurement of Self Criticism and Self Satisfaction. A questionnaire was used to measure clothing behavior. The subjects were 436 2nd year high school girls at three girl's high schools located in Pocheun, Kyunggi-do and at three girl's high schools located in Dobong-ku and Gangnam-ku, Seoul. The results of the study are as follows: (1) The present high School girls have the sound ability to criticize themselves positively, and they are generally satisfied with themselves. (2) Self criticism affects clothing behavior except practicability and has a bigger influence on the group having the lower score of individuality, fashionability, aesthetics, satisfaction and psychological clothing-dependence than on the group having the higher score of them. The group having the high self criticism score has high individuality, aesthetics, and satisfaction in clothing behavior. Compared with group having low self satisfaction, the group having high self satisfaction has the lower psychological clothing-dependence. (4) Those who are responsible for student guidance program need to keep in mind that one's self-criticism and self-satisfaction level, which are quite difficult to grasp, can be assumed by the observation of characteristics of clothing behavior.
