2년제 대학 뷰티관련학과 교육과정 분석 및 개선방안에 관한 연구 -뷰티스타일리스트 전공개설의 필요성을 중심으로- (A Study on the Analysis of Curriculums and the Improvements of Beauty Department in College -Focusing on Needs to Develop Beauty Styling Department-)

  • This study was conducted to propose name and role of a beauty-related specialist, a brand-new profession, recognizing that rapidly evolving culture and industries call for development of a new occupation in beauty business in the 21st century, and to suggest an approach to set up a department to produce such experts. To this end, extensive data and information were collected from relevant companies, education institutions, and all of the eighty two departments at 2-year junior colleges around the country, and were analyzed. The findings of the study are as follows: First, it was acknowledged that a new occupation distinct from existing ones is required in the beauty business. Secondly, the study has defined role of the new job; a professional beauty stylist who is competent to work across beauty, coordination and fashion with long-term perspective. Thirdly, the study suggested name of the brand-new occupation as beauty stylist. The results summarized above have meaningful implications; the study identified weaknesses of the existing beauty-related departments, and suggested practical approaches to improve them in order to provide effective education on the new profession, beauty stylist, and enhance adaptation capability.

  • The purpose of this study is to inquire into the necessity and problem of the study on beauty aesthetics, and the direction and method of its study theoretically by applying the concept of aesthetics to the beauty art as an attempt to build up aesthetic concepts of beauty art. As results of inquiry, the study on beauty aesthetics is essential for the adaptation to demands for the creativity of beauty art. As for problem of study on beauty aesthetics, it is necessary to conduct an aggregate study at various angles since the aesthetic value of beauty art (hairstyle) is realized by interaction of the social cultural value or practical value and pure artistic value, and the unique cosmetic beauty of any era or nation group individual is created on the basis of hair designers and individual spirit, emotion and taste, etc. and its perceptual aesthetic enjoyment is accomplished variously. As for the direction and method of study on beauty aesthetics, the quest with abstract speculative self-examination into the beauty having its subjective meaning must be accomplished. This thesis would like to contribute to the building up of beauty industry field as beauty arts based on the aesthetics by successive coming forward of personnel for beauty who combine the aesthetic abilities meeting the diversified requirements of modern society and by improving the recognition of persons recognizing the beauty industry field as a technical field only.

중부권역 소재 대학 뷰티학과의 소속 계열과 학과 명칭 동향에 관한 분석 (Analysis of the affiliated department and the name trend of the department of beauty department of a university located in the central region)

  • 인구절벽 시대에 뷰티학과와 대학의 생존을 위해 우수한 미용 인적 자원 개발을 위한 공격적 입시전략은 매우 중요하다. 이에 대외적인 학과홍보 수단이자 학과 특성을 반영하는 학과 명칭과 소속계열에 대한 심층적 동향 분석을 목적으로 중부권 대학 뷰티학과를 대상으로 2020년 학과 소속 계열과 학과 명칭을 조사 및 분석하였다. 연구 결과 4개 권역별 소속 계열은 미용예술과 예술계열(28.57%), 보건 계열(50.00%)이 가장 많았으며 학과 명칭은 뷰티케어가 서울 인천권(20.00%)과 경기강원권(20.59%)에서 가장 많았고 대전권은 뷰티디자인(37.5%), 충청권은 뷰티케어, 뷰티화장품, 의료뷰티케어(11.11%)가 많이 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 뷰티학과의 전반적 특성화 동향 분석이 가능해지며 향후 학과 간 통폐합이나 학과 분리 시 학과의 나아갈 방향을 제시해 주는 중요한 기초 자료로 활용될 것이다. 또한 각 학과별 교과과정이나 학과명의 연도별 변천과정에 대한 후속연구의 발판을 마련하리라 사료한다.

영호남 소재 대학 미용학과의 소속 계열 및 학과명에 대한 동향 분석 (Affiliated with the Department of Beauty in Gyeongsang-do and Jeolla-do and trend analysis of department names)

  • 획일적인 미용 개념에서 탈피한 세계화 교육체계를 갖춘 대학의 미용학과는 타교(他校)와의 치열한 경쟁 관계에서 우위를 점할 수 있으며, 학과의 발전과 활성화도 보장받게 된다. 또한 소속 계열과 학과의 대내외적 홍보전략 수립과 현실적 미용교육의 방향 분석을 위해 학과명에 대한 연구는 매우 필요하다. 이에 영호남 소재 대학을 4개의 권역으로 분류하여 소속 계열과 학과명에 대한 동향을 분석한 결과 미용학과의 권역별 소속 계열은 자연과학과 예체능 계열 소속이 가장 많이 나타났다. 그리고 권역별 미용 계열 학과명은 부산·경남권역, 대구·경북권역, 광주·전남권역, 전북권역이 각각 미용과 5개교(29.41%), 뷰티디자인과 3개교(13.04%), 뷰티미용과 8개교(50.00%), 뷰티디자인과 2개교(33.33%)로 많이 나타났다. 본 연구는 미용 교육목표에 부합하는 예술적이고 창의적인 감각을 함양한 전문 미용인 양성을 가능하게 하며, 세부 전공에 따른 학과 분리나 학과명 변경에 매우 필요한 기초 자료로 제공되리라 사료한다.

뷰티 상업광고가 20대 남,녀의 뷰티 상품 구매 결정에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Beauty Commercial Advertising on Men and Women in Their 20's Purchase of Beauty Products)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 20대 남녀의 뷰티 트렌드 정보를 바탕으로 성별에 따른 뷰티 상업광고의 영향력을 파악하고, 일종의 마케팅 수단으로 쓰이는 뷰티 상업광고의 효과를 확인하고자 한다. 이를 위해 외모에 대한 관심과 SNS 사용이 가장 높은 20대 남녀를 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하였다. 여성은 접근성, 신뢰성 정보성이 가장 높은 광고로 모두 유튜브 광고를 택했고 남성은 각각 인스타그램 광고, TV 광고, 유튜브 광고를 택했으며 그 결과 20대 여성에게 가장 영향력 있는 광고는 유튜브 광고, 남성에게 가장 영향력 있는 광고는 접근성이 높은 인스타그램 광고라는 점을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 앞으로의 뷰티 시장에서 서비스 및 마케팅 분야에 새로운 전략을 구축하는 데에 활용될 수 있다.

Indoor and Outdoor Concentrations of Air Pollutants in Beauty Shops at Kwangju Area

  • The work of hairdressers includes washing, coloring, bleaching, permanent waving, conditioning, and cutting hair. Hairdressers are subjected to a number of physical and toxicological hazards. The toxicological hazards are those resulting from exposure to a wide range of chemicals and from chemicals are usually classified active processes. In this study, twenty beauty shops were selected to assess the exposure to indoor air pollutants such as VOCS and particulate matter($PM_{10}$) during one month from September 1 to September 30, 2003. Indoor air quality of beauty shops might be worse by vehicle emissions because the beauty shops were generally located near roadways. Personal exposures to VOCs and PM lo were related to indoor concentrations of beauty shops. According to the questionnaire, hairdressers complained of sore throat, eye irritation, and nervousness as physical symptoms. Conclusively, customers as well as workers in the beauty shops might be highly exposed to air pollutants from indoor sources and outdoor sources. Therefore, proper management methods should be taken to improve the indoor air quality in beauty shops.

Health Care Management According to Occupational Diseases of Beauty Industry Workers

  • Purpose - Beauty service employees who perform emotional labor are becoming an important factor in their duties to be performed at customer contact with the emotional expression norms set and required by organizations and companies. There are health problems for beauty workers due to working environments such as physical, chemical, and social factors. Accordingly, this study presents practical ways to protect the health of beauty workers. Research design, data, and methodology - This review study was conducted by searching PubMed, Google Scholar, Riss, Scopus, and Research Gate. Beauty Health Care, Occupational Diseases, Beauty Industry, Beauty Employees, Work-Life Vallance (WLV). I referred to the keywords such as that. A total of 471 papers were searched, of which 46 were finally included in this study on the PRISMA flowchart. Result: The beauty service industry can be classified as a job with high job stress among the beauty industries, and establishing appropriate measures to effectively help beauty industry workers proves to be an important strategy for maintaining physically and mentally healthy lives. Conclusion - Active research is needed to create a healthy environment with sustainable well-being by identifying physical and mental outbreaks according to the degree of awareness through various causes of occupational diseases such as gender and environment of beauty industry workers.

Changes in the Employment Environment of the Beauty Industry in Republic of Korea: A Critical Review

  • Purpose: Convergence and social ripple effects caused by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which encompasses new technologies in various fields, will have a great impact on the beauty industry structure and market economy. This review reviewed the literature on the changes in the employment environment of the Korean beauty industry due to the 4th industrial revolution and the countermeasures of the beauty industry accordingly. Research design, data and methodology: Using the October 2022 PRISMA flowchart, it is a review of changes in the employment environment of the beauty industry, the need for human resource management of beauty workers, and the employment environment to be applied to the beauty industry in the future. Results: Changes in the employment environment in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the current state of the beauty industry, and reviews on beauty industry workers were collected, and a direction for training beauty industry workers was presented. Conclusions: This study presented the direction of the beauty industry in preparation for changes in the employment environment of the 4th industrial revolution and suggested that research is needed to actively establish human resource management (HRM) to overcome the problem of fostering talent in the beauty industry.

Will My Customers Come Back? A Study of Beauty Salons in Taiwan

  • Purpose - The beauty salon industry is a highly competitive market. Every beauty salon shop aims to keep its customers satisfied and hopes that they will revisit several times. Hence, this paper investigates the key factors affecting the repurchase intention of consumers in the beauty salon industry in Taiwan. Research design, data, and methodology - We first use the content analysis of free-response narratives from beauticians to classify the key factors objectively and develop the questionnaire accordingly. We then distribute the questionnaire to 130 beauty salon consumers to complete the questionnaire. Next, the Grey Relation Analysis is employed to identify the key factors that affect the repurchase intention of consumers in the beauty salon industry. Results - From the perspectives of the beauty salon customers, the factors affecting the repurchase intention of consumers are (1) obvious treatment results, (2) the treatment space considers personal privacy, (3) the offer of promotional prices for treatment/product trials, and (4) the product knowledge of the beauticians. From the perspectives of the beauticians, the factors include (1) the treatment space is well-designed and makes the customers feel relaxed, (2) enhancement of the customer relationship, (3) the treatment space considers personal privacy, and (4) the positive service attitude of the beauticians. Conclusions - We analyze all the key factors and offer some suggestions as a conclusion.

뷰티 전문가의 자기관리가 자기효능감 및 경영성과에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Beauty Experts' Self-Management on Self-Efficacy and Business Performance)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 뷰티 전문가의 자기관리가 자기효능감 및 경영성과에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하여 관계를 살펴보고, 향후 뷰티 전문가들의 자기 관리를 통한 자기 효능감과 경영성과 향상에 도움이 되기를 위함이다. 분석방법은 빈도분석, 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석 등을 하였고, 그 결과 자기관리와 자기조절감, 도전감 간 상호 정(+)의 상관관계가 나타났고, 자기관리가 경영성과, 환경성과, 고객성과, 시장성과에 통계적 유의하게 정(+)의 영향이 나타났으며, 자기효능감이 직무성과, 환경성과, 고객성과, 시장성과에 통계적 유의하게 정(+)의 영향을 나타나는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 자기관리에 대한 질적 향상을 통해 자기효능감과 경영성과에 기여할 수 있는 계기가 되길 바란다.
