  • This paper reports on the development of micro power system component under way at Seoul National University. The need of micro power system is explained and components of micro power system are described. The developments of hydrogen-air micro combustor, micro igniter based poly-silicon heater and micro thruster are described. To manufacture 3-D micro structure the process that manufactures high aspect ratio structures has been developed and optimized. Design, fabrication, and experiment processes are introduced and technical challenges in each phase are described.

  • This paper presents a force/displacement sensing system to measure penetration depths and machining forces during pattering operation. This sensing system consists of a leaf spring mechanism and a capacitive sensor, which is mounted on a PZT driven in-feed motion stage with 1nm resolution. The sample is moved by a xy scanning motion stage with 5nm resolution. The constructed system was applied to nano indentation experiments, and the load-displacement curves of silicon(111) and aluminum were obtained. Then, the indentation samples were measured by AFM. Experimental results demonstrated that the developed system has the ability of preforming force/depth sensing indentations

  • 본 연구는 하천 수질의 종합관리를 위한 sotware 시스템과 hardware 시스템을 개발하는 것이다. Software 시스템은 하천의 오염실태 조사분석 자료를 활용하여 예측모형의 반응식과 제 계수를 도출하고, 수질변동 및 예측모형의 중요지표 수질인자들에 대한 시각적 화면 display 를 위한 그래픽 모듈과 우리나라 오염심화 하천에 알맞는 종합수질 관리용 컴퓨터 프로그램을 개발하므로서 궁극적으로 하천의 한정된 수자원의 최적 활용을 위한 정량적, 정성적 종합수질 관리 시스템을 개발하는 것이다. 또한, Hardware 시스템은 지표 수질인자들을 자동 측정하여 on line, real time 으로 운영 될수 있는 computer supported monitoring network system 과 수질관리를 위한 지역적 수질정보를 위한 network system 을 연구하므로서 control computer system 및 programmable process controllers system 을 구축하고자 한다.

System Identification of MIMO Systems Considering Analytically Determined Information (해석적인 정보를 고려한 다중입력을 받는 다자유도계 구조물의 시스템 규명 기법 개발)

  • This paper presents a system identification method for multi-input, multi-output (MIMO) systems, by which a rational polynomial transfer function model is identified from experimentally determined frequency response function data. Analytically determined information is incorporated in this method to obtain a more reliable model, even in the frequency range where the excitation energy is limited. To verify the suggested method, shaking table test for an actively controlled two-story, bench-scale building employing an active mass damper is conducted. The results show that the proposed method is quite effective and robust for system identification of MIMO systems.

  • 본 논문에서는 중소형 전동차에 활용하기 위한 DC모터 구동회로를 설계하였다. 설계된 구동 회로를 활용하여 자체발진회로의 스위칭 신호를 갖는 트랜스포머를 이용하여 연속적으로 구동할 수 있다. 또한 DC 모터 최대속도 동작시, 제어회로의 기준전압 값을 삼각파보다 높게 유지할 수 있고 모터 구동 FET를 항상 온 값을 가지도록 하여 최대출력을 얻을 수 있도록 해준다. 설계된 구동회로를 장착한 250W급 DC모터속도 컨트롤러를 활용하여 소형전동차 구동시험을 실시한 결과, DC모터의 전진 및 후진 속도를 연속 가변 할 수 있음을 확인하고 그 특성을 검증하였다.

  • This paper presents the development of the training courses using real time digital simulator (RTDS). This training courses for the engineers who are working at power system field are expected to be developed the sixteen courses. We describe the developed five courses in this paper which are protective relay testing, voltage compensation using a voltage compensator such as SVC and capacitor, the restoration of power for KEPCO system, phase unbalance simulation of transmission lines and harmonic analysis. We also describe the benchmark system composed of six buses with three machines for the KEPCO system to verify the power system analysis.

Visual Target Tracking and Relative Navigation for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in a GPS-Denied Environment

  • We present a system for the real-time visual relative navigation of a fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle in a GPS-denied environment. An extended Kalman filter is used to construct a vision-aided navigation system by fusing the image processing results with barometer and inertial sensor measurements. Using a mean-shift object tracking algorithm, an onboard vision system provides pixel measurements to the navigation filter. The filter is slightly modified to deal with delayed measurements from the vision system. The image processing algorithm and the navigation filter are verified by flight tests. The results show that the proposed aerial system is able to maintain circling around a target without using GPS data.

  • So far many researches have studied to control a cart system with a pole on the top of itself (forwards we call it simply a cart system) which is movable only to the directions to which a cart moves, using neural networks and genetic algorithms. Especially which it wag solved by genetic algorithms, it was possible to control a cart system more robustly than ordinary methods using neural networks but it had problems too, i.e., the control time to be achieved was short and the processing time for it was long. However we could control a cart system using standard genetic algorithm longer than ordinary neural network methods (for example error backpropagation) and could see that robust control was possible. Computer simulation was performed through the personal computer and the results showed the possibility of real time control because the cpu time which was occupied by processes was relatively short.

  • A elevator group supervisory system is designed to perform efficient operation of multiple elevators, and its basic function is to assign an appropriate elevator to a given hall-cell. In this paper, in order to improve elevator group control performance, we propose a new dispatching system which includes fuzzy multi-attribute decision making(MADM). In most cases, the purpose of group control is to maximize control goals as much as possible. Unfortunately, the decision of optimal elevator to a given hall cell is made with very uncertain information of the system, and some of control goals are related each other. The uncertainty is mainly resulted from car calls generated by serving hall calls. A fuzzy MADM algorithm is proposed to deal with these problems to improve system performance.

  • EDMS(Enterprise Document Management System) is generally as an office business management solutions in the form of an application running in a Web browser environment, has been utilized as an Electronic Document Management System. This system, users access the browser has led to inconvenience not easy. For for ease of use this, how to implement a system that can be used to operate the EDMS on the screen of the Windows Explorer, in this study, are presented.
