In training a classification model using machine learning, the acquisition of training data is a very important stage, because the amount and quality of the training data greatly influence the model performance. However, when the cost of obtaining data is so high that it is difficult to build ideal training data, the number of samples for each class may be acquired very differently, and a serious data-imbalance problem can occur. If such a problem occurs in the training data, all classes are not trained equally, and classes containing relatively few data will have significantly lower recall values. Additionally, the reliability of evaluation indices such as accuracy and precision will be reduced. Therefore, this study sought to overcome the problem of data imbalance in two stages. First, we introduced weighted accuracy and weighted precision as new evaluation indices that can take into account a data-imbalance ratio by modifying conventional measures of accuracy and precision. Next, oversampling was performed to balance weighted precision and recall among classes. We verified the algorithm by applying it to the problem of facies classification. As a result, the imbalance between majority and minority classes was greatly mitigated, and the boundaries between classes could be more clearly identified.

The distributed hydrologic model has been considerably improved due to rapid development of computer hardware technology as well as the increased accessibility and the applicability of hydro-geologic information using GIS. It has been acknowledged that physically-based distributed hydrologic model require significant amounts of data for their calibration, so its application at ungauged catchments is very limited. In this regard, this study was intended to develop a distributed hydrologic model (S-RAT) that is mainly based on conceptually grid-based water balance model. The proposed model shows advantages as a new distributed rainfall-runoff model in terms of their simplicity and model performance. Another advantage of the proposed model is to effectively assess spatio-temporal variation for the entire runoff process. In addition, S-RAT does not rely on any commercial GIS pre-processing tools because a built-in GIS pre-processing module was developed and included in the model. Through the application to the two pilot basins, it was found that S-RAT model has temporal and spatial transferability of parameters and also S-RAT model can be effectively used as a radar data-driven rainfall-runoff model.
This study was conducted to evaluate observed runoff data collected every 10 minutes at stream gauging stations in Jeju Island using a physically-based model, SWAT. The Hancheon watershed was selected as study area, and ephemeral stream algorithm suggested by previous research was incorporated into the model, which is able to simulate ephemeral runoff pattern of Jeju streams. Simulated runoff and runoff rates were compared to observations during 2008-2013, which showed 'very good' performance rating in Nash-Sutcliffe model efficiency (ME) and determination coefficient ($R^2$). Some observations had problems such that runoff rates were very high for some rainfall events with little amount of antecedent rainfall, and were very low or missing with much rainfall comparing to previous researches. Additionally, regression equation between precipitation and simulated runoff was generated with high degree of correlation. The equation can be utilized to simply predict reasonable runoff, or to investigate and complement the abnormal or missing data of observations on the assumption that modelling results were sufficiently reliable and satisfactory. As results, minimizing the error in calibrating the model by evaluation of observed data would be helpful to accurately model the rainfall-runoff characteristics and analyze the water balance components of watersheds in Jeju Island.
The purpose of this study is to draw guidelines on how to select traditional games that would efficiently help and develop multiple intelligences in children. Guidelines standard of section inquiries were prepared through a Delphi survey targeting twenty experts in early childhood education and traditional games. As a result, linguistic intelligence questions regarding writing, listening, speaking and vocabulary acquisition were selected. logical-mathematical intelligence questions regarding strategy, counting, patterns, hypothesis, verification, and comparing, contrasting, calculating ability were selected. Spatial intelligence questions regarding drawing, coloring, representation activities, operating and creating were selected, physical performance intelligence questions regarding global muscles, eye-hand coordination, flexibility, accommodation force, balance, agility and muscular strength were selected. Musical intelligence included questions about singing, and playing musical instruments. Interpersonal intelligence included perspective-taking, role-sharing, cooperation and discussion. For intrapersonal intelligence questions regarding personal significance-ties, planning-decision making, emotional expression and problem solving were selected. Finally, in relation to naturalist intelligence, questions regarding living organisms, inanimate objects and seasons were selected. In addition, traditional games were analyzed based on the finalized guidelines, and the results showed that each of the traditional games would not only work with one intelligence at a time but with other different intelligence as well. In the light of that, the study confirmed the validity of the guidelines on how to select traditional games that would develop multiple intelligences in children.

A learner can systemize the knowledge through a self-information access and an instructor can also check out the degree of learner's learning-accomplishment and interests, directly putting the access system into the teaching and learning process. In addition, it is supposed that the learner can maintain a balance and healthy life by internalizing his or her knowledge throughout ontology not only in a teaching and learning process but also in a daily life.

A model of substrate removal by rotating discs has been developed for a better understanding of the process, and the performance of the system has been evaluated under steady and unsteady state. The model was constructed based upon mass transfer of the substrate from the bulk solution to the biofilm and a simultaneous removal of the substrate by the biomass. The model is composed of a few sets of differential equations representing mass balance within the elements of a liquid film and a biofilm, and in the bulk solution. Substrate removal efficiency of the process is largely dependent on a diffusion coefficient of the substrate within the biofilm and a maximum rate of substrate removal of the biomass. The efficiency is affected to a greater extent when the substrate concentration is low and the maximum substrate removal rate is high. The efficiency increases proportionally with increasing film depth when the biofilm is shallow, however, the rate of increase gradually decreases with an increase of the film depth. As the film reaches a limiting depth, the efficiency remains constant. Unlike the steady state, the effluent quality is affected by the tank volume under dynamic state. Increasing tank volume decreases peak concentration of the effluent under peak loading. Additional tank volume provides a buffer capacitya.gainst a peak loading and the holding tank behaves like an equalization tank.

Seoul city has been carried out the actual conditional investigation about street monitoring from January to June of 2013. As the result of this investigation, it has been performed aleady the Seoul city's BSI goal of 2013. The 9,722 cases were reported through the street monitoring activities. Despite of increasing drastically for 1,151 cases's record of 2012, Street monitoring activity appeared wide variations in the region, ages, vocation and gender. Also it depended on 14 outstanding persons of merely 2.2%. They reported 6,546 cases that run to 67.3%. On the basis of Herbert W. Heinrich's law of 1:29:300, the dead of 28, seriously and the slightly injured of 816 and the latent injured of 8,442 were decreased. It respected and protected the 9,287 Seoul citizen's life. This study reseted a definite goal of monitoring and estimated a performance possibility as well as suggested a monitoring expert system, monitor increase, grade evaluation incentive, general evaluation method throughout priority analysis of Gangdong-gu case.

Direct-fed microbials (DFM) are dietary supplements that inhibit gastrointestinal infection and provide optimally regulated microbial environments in the digestive tract. As the use of antibiotics in ruminant feeds has been banned, DFM have been emphasized as antimicrobial replacements. Microorganisms that are used in DFM for ruminants may be classified as lactic acid producing bacteria (LAB), lactic acid utilizing bacteria (LUB), or other microorganisms including species of Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, Enterococcus, Streptococcus, Bacillus and Propionibacterium, strains of Megasphaera elsdenii and Prevotella bryantii and yeast products containing Saccharomyces and Aspergillus. LAB may have beneficial effects in the intestinal tract and rumen. Both LAB and LUB potentially moderate rumen conditions and improve feed efficiency. Yeast DFM may reduce harmful oxygen, prevent excess lactate production, increase feed digestibility, and improve fermentation in the rumen. DFM may also compete with and inhibit the growth of pathogens, stimulate immune function, and modulate microbial balance in the gastrointestinal tract. LAB may regulate the incidence of diarrhea, and improve weight gain and feed efficiency. LUB improved weight gain in calves. DFM has been reported to improve dry matter intake, milk yield, fat corrected milk yield and milk fat content in mature animals. However, contradictory reports about the effects of DFM, dosages, feeding times and frequencies, strains of DFM, and effects on different animal conditions are available. Cultivation and preparation of ready-to-use strict anaerobes as DFM may be cost-prohibitive, and dosing methods, such as drenching, that are required for anaerobic DFM are unlikely to be acceptable as general on-farm practice. Aero-tolerant rumen microorganisms are limited to only few species, although the potential isolation and utilization of aero-tolerant ruminal strains as DFM has been reported. Spore forming bacteria are characterized by convenience of preparation and effectiveness of DFM delivery to target organs and therefore have been proposed as DFM strains. Recent studies have supported the positive effects of DFM on ruminant performance.

The inflow estimation at large multipurpose dam reservoir is carried out by considering the water balance among the discharge, the storage change during unit time interval obtained from the observed water level near dam structure and area-volume curve. This method can be ideal for level pool reservoir but include potential errors when the inflow is influenced by the water level slope due to backwater effects from upstream flood inflows and strong wind induced by typhoon. In addition, the other uncertainties arisen from the storage reduction due to sedimentation after the dam construction and water level noise due to mechanical vibration transmitted from the electric power generator. These uncertainties impedes the accurate hydraulic inflow measurement requiring exquisite hydrometric data arrangement for reservoir waterbody. In this study, the distributed hydrologic model using UBC-3P boundary setting was applied and its feasibility was evaluated. Finally, the modeling performance has been verified since the calculated determination coefficient has been in between 0.96 to 0.99 after comparing with observed peak inflow and total inflow at Namgang dam reservoir.
This paper describes the micro cutting of wear resistant tungsten carbides using PCD (Poly-Crystalline Diamond) cutting tools in performance with SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) direct observation method. Turning experiments were also carried out on this alloy (V50) using a PCD cutting tool. One of the purposes of this study is to describe clearly the cutting mechanism of tungsten carbides and the behavior of WC particles in the deformation zone in orthogonal micro cutting. Other purposes are to achieve a systematic understanding of machining characteristics and the effects of machining parameters on cutting force, machined surface and tool wear rates by the outer turning of this alloy carried out using the PCD cutting tool during these various cutting conditions. A summary of the results are as follows: (1) From the SEM direct observation in cutting the tungsten carbide, WC particles are broken and come into contact with the tool edge directly. This causes tool wear in which portions scrape the tool in a strong manner. (2) There are two chip formation types. One is where the shear angle is comparatively small and the crack of the shear plane becomes wide. The other is a type where the shear angle is above 45 degrees and the crack of the shear plane does not widen. These differences are caused by the stress condition which gives rise to the friction at the shear plane. (3) The thrust cutting forces tend to increase more rapidly than the principal forces, as the depth of cut and the cutting speed are increased preferably in the orthogonal micro cutting. (4) The tool wear on the flank face was larger than that on the rake face in the orthogonal micro cutting. (5) Three components of cutting force in the conventional turning experiments were different in balance from ordinary cutting such as the cutting of steel or cast iron. Those expressed a large value of thrust force, principal force, and feed force. (6) From the viewpoint of high efficient cutting found within this research, a proper cutting speed was 15 m/min and a proper feed rate was 0.1 mm/rev. In this case, it was found that the tool life of a PCD tool was limited to a distance of approximately 230 m. (7) When the depth of cut was 0.1 mm, there was no influence of the feed rate on the feed force. The feed force tended to decrease, as the cutting distance was long, because the tool was worn and the tool edge retreated. (8) The main tool wear of a PCD tool in this research was due to the flank wear within the maximum value of $V_{max}$ being about 260 $\mu\textrm{m}$.
