PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to compare the lower extremities muscle activation between squatting exercise with gym ball and wall for improving muscle strengthening in lower extremities. METHODS: Participants were 21 university students (males 10, females 11) who didn't have any problem with orthopedic surgery. Participants performed squatting exercise with gym ball and wall. Squatting exercise with gym ball were performed using by gym ball behind back, and the gym ball were fixed in back and wall. We asked participants to push back the gym ball slightly to prevent fall of ball. Wall squatting exercise, we ask participants to contact their back in wall slightly in order to prevent trunk flexion during performed squatting exercise. Each squatting exercise had performed until knee joint were flexed at 60 degree, and maintained five seconds. We collected data from E.M.G of Biceps femoris, Gastrocnemius, Vastus medialis and lateralis, Tibialis anterior of lower extremity in isometric phase of knee joint angle 60 degree of each squatting exercise. We analysed data using by ANOVA and independent t-test of SPSS PC ver.20.0 in order to compare the muscle activation between squatting exercise with gym ball and wall. RESULT: All of lower extremities muscle activation showed more higher value in squatting exercise with gym ball than squatting exercise with wall, especially there was significantly difference of muscle activation in vastus medialis, tibialis anterior between squatting exercise with gymball and with wall. CONCLUSION: On comprehensively considering the results of the present study, we suggested that squatting exercise with gym ball was more effective method improving lower extremity muscle strengthening.
In Korea, quota sampling is mainly adopted in telephone surveys, instead of random sampling which requires call-back procedure and random selection of respondent within households. The contact mode based on the se $x^{*}$age quotas is economically more advantageous and less time-consuming. However, it lacks theoretical ground for valid statistical inference, so that it is hardly accepted in academic circles despite of widely spread practice. Subsequently, survey theoreticians argued that random sampling-based telephone surveys should be tried. In response, Research & Research (R&R), a private research company in Seoul, executed atelephone survey by random sampling mode for the prediction of 2002 Ulsan City Mayor Election. The aim of this case study is to find out various effects of the call-back rule with random selection of respondents by statistically re-analyzing R&R’s Ulsan Survey Data.s by statistically re-analyzing R&R’s Ulsan Survey Data.
Mo thin films were used for the back electrode because of the low resistivity in the Mo/$CuInGaSe_2$ contact in chalcopyrite solar cells. $1\;{\mu}m$ thick Mo thin films were deposited on soda lime glass by varying the Ar pressure with the dc-magnetron sputtering process. The effects of the Ar pressure on the morphology of the Mo back electrode were studied and the relationships between the morphology and electro-optical properties, namely, the resistivity as well as the reflectance of the Mo thin films, were investigated. The resitivity increased from $24\;{\mu}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$ to $11833\;{\mu}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$; this was caused by the increased surface defect and low crystallinity as the Ar pressure increased from $3{\times}10^{-3}$ to $3{\times}10^{-2}\;Torr$. The surface morphologies of the Mo thin films changed from somewhat coarse fibrous structures to irregular and fine celled structures with increased surface cracks along the cell boundaries, as the Ar pressure increased from $3{\times}10^{-3}$ to $3{\times}10^{-2}\;Torr$. The changes of reflectances in the visible light range with Ar pressures were mainly attributed to the surface morphological changes of the Mo thin films. The reflectance in the visible light range showed the highest value of 45% at $3{\times}10^{-3}\;Torr$ and decreased to 18.5% at $3{\times}10^{-2}\;Torr$.
In this paper, we predict the rotordynamic force coefficients of tilting pad journal bearings (TPJBs) with rocker-back pivots, and we compare the predictions to recently published predictions and test data. The present TPJB model considers the rocker-back pivot stiffness calculated based on the Hertzian contact-stress theory, which is nonlinear with the application of a force . For the five-pad TPJB in load-between-pad and load-on-pad configurations, the predictions show the pressure- and film-thickness distributions, the deflection and stiffness of the individual pivots, and bearing stiffness and damping coefficients. The minimum film thickness and peak pressure occur at the bottom pad on which the applied load is directed. Because of the preload, the pres- sure is positive even at the upper pad in the opposite direction to the applied load. The pivot deflection and stiff- ness are maximum at the bottom pad that receives the heaviest pressure load. The predicted stiffness coefficients increase as the static load and rotor speed increase, while the damping coefficients decrease as the rotor speed increases, but increase as the static load increases. In general, the predicted stiffness coefficients agree well with the test data. The predicted damping coefficients overestimate the test data, particularly for large static loads. In general, the current predictive model considering the pivot stiffness improves the accuracy of the rotordynamic performance compared to previously reported models.
In this study, motion characteristics and power requirement of rotary tilling according to shape of conventional rotary blade were measured. This study was performed to establish factors which needed to develop energy saving rotary blade. Starting point of edged curve of imported rotary blade was faster than that of domestic rotary blade after measuring and analyzing edged curve of rotary blade. So domestic rotary blade tills much soil than imported rotary blade. In analyzing motion of rotary blade, Rotary blade of A, D type was begun to contact at part 3. Analyzing back surface of rotary blade which contact to soil at critical $\lambda$ results in contacting at e-f part. In measuring power requirement of rotary blade, specific torque and specific work of rotary blade are $160{\sim}170kgf{\cdot}m/m^2$, $3,700kgf{\cdot}m/m^3$. It shows power requirement of rotary blade according to shape of rotary blade are very different.

The new textured surface epitaxial base(TSEB) cell as a high efficiency Si solar cell was fabricated and its eletro-optical characteristics were investigated. The fabricated device showed the open circuit voltage of 0.62 V, the short circuit current of 40 mA, the fill factor of 0.7, and the efficiency of 16% under the incident light of AM-1 100 mW/$cm^2$. The TSEB cell proposed in this paper has the structural superiority in the fabrication of high efficiency solar cell due to the carrier drift transport in the optical absorption region and the formation of back surface field by $P^-/P^+$ epitaxial base, and the low emitter series resistance by insertion of $n^+$ buried contact.
The electronic property of graphene was investigated by hydrazine treatment. Hydrazine ($N_2H_4$) highly increases electron concentrations and up-shifts Fermi level of graphene based on significant shift of Dirac point to the negative gate voltage. We have observed contact resistance and channel length dependent mobility of graphene in the back-gated device after hydrazine monohydrate treatment and continuously monitored electrical characteristics under Nitrogen or air exposure. The contact resistance increases with hydrazine-treated and subsequent Nitrogen-exposed devices and reduces down in successive Air-exposed device to the similar level of pristine one. The channel conductance curve as a function of gate voltage in hole conduction regime keeps analogous value and shape even after Nitrogen/Air exposure specially whereas, in electron conduction regime change rate of conductance along with the level of conductance with gate voltage are decreased. Hydrazine could be utilized as the highly effective donor without degradation of mobility but the stability issue to be solved for future application.
ZnO:Al(AZO) films prepared by rf magnetron sputtering on glass substrate and textured by post-deposition chemical etching were applied as front contact and back reflectors for ${\mu}c$-Si:H thin film solar cells. For the front transparent electrode contact, AZO films were prepared at various working pressures and substrate temperature and then were chemically etched in diluted HCl(1%). The front AZO films deposited at low working pressure(1 mTorr) and low temperature ($240^{\circ}C$) exhibited uniform and high transmittance ($\geq$80%) and excellent electrical properties. The solar cells were optimized in terms of optical and electrical properties to demonstrate a high short-circuit current.

Industrial manipulators have been mostly used in large companies such as automakers and electronics companies. In recent years, however, demands for industrial manipulators from small and medium-sized enterprises are on the increase because of shortage of manpower and high wages. Since these companies cannot hire robot engineers for operation and programming of a robot, intuitive teaching and playback techniques of a robot manipulator should replace the robot programming which requires substantial knowledge of a robot. This paper proposes an intuitive teaching and playback algorithm used in assembly tasks. An operator can directly teach the robot by grasping the end-effector and moving it to the desired point in the teaching phase. The 6 axis force/torque sensor attached to the manipulator end-effector is used to sense the human intention in teaching the robot. After this teaching phase, a robot can track the target position or trajectory accurately in the playback phase. When the robot contacts the environment during the teaching and playback phases, impedance control is conducted to make the contact task stable. Peg-in-hole experiments are selected to validate the proposed algorithm since this task can describe the important features of various assembly tasks which require both accurate position and force control. It is shown that the proposed teaching and playback algorithm provides high positioning accuracy and stable contact tasks.

In this paper, we analyzed the optimal configuration of protection wire that have been installed in the electric railway power supply system. Protection wires are to suppress the ground potential rise when the short circuit fault between contact wire-rail(C-F), and protect the electronics equipments(signalling and communication) that are facility the wayside. The role of protection wires must be feed back quickly the fault current to the substation when a short circuit fault occurs. In this paper, we proposed that only one line to install the protection wire. Comparing how to newly proposed and existing system, most of the performance is similar. The reason is that most of the current flowing in the protection wire near the location where the fault occurred. There is no problem even if in one line for human safe and the low impedance of the return circuit in dimension to ensure the safety of the facility during the fault. To ensure safety during an fault occurs, it is sufficient even by one line. But, In the protection wire of facilities planning it is necessary to design taking into account the potential utility.
