The purpose of this study is to analyze the operation situation & academic research trends in Seoul and Gyeonggi area, based on theoretical consideration on academic credit bank system, focusing on academic credit bank system where a lifelong education institute affiliated with a university produces graduates with associate's degree. To find out about how academic credit bank institutes are operated in cosmetology field, the analysis of literature review was used, in reference to the literatures as well as administrative data from the Ministry of Education and institutes for lifelong education with respect to academic credit bank system. Further, dissertations and articles in journals were also reviewed for analysis, in order to see academic research trends with respect to academic credit bank system in cosmetology, and finally to provide the directions for a follow-up study in the future. It was found that about 120 junior colleges have cosmetology departments, while only about 20 4-year universities have them, where lifelong education systems such as lifelong education are essential for learners to have bachelor's degree to go to a graduate school in reality. Every year more people want to learn and acquire the degree through a lifelong education institute affiliated with a university. In this regard, it is thought that there should be first positive social awareness towards a degree recipient from such educations and more administrative promotion and active engagement of government, businesses and schools, in order to vitalize academic credit bank system. Meanwhile, there are only about 10 academic literatures including the dissertations on the operation of academic credit bank system with respect to cosmetology, which is not sufficient number in academic research, compared to the increasing number of people who want to acquire the degree. Most of the preceding studies have been limited to education services and learners' satisfaction level. Therefore, continuous follow-up study is required on how to improve social awareness as well as teachers and instructors' satisfaction level, as well as how to develop industry-customized curriculum, in order to ensure active academic credit bank system.
Objectives : This study was to seek the ways for strengthening the higher curricula for the bachelor's degree of the dental hygiene. For this two things are investigated with some students of the dental hygiene departments of colleges and workers on the part; one is what the recognition about the curricula is, and the other what are the demanding degrees through the curricula. Methods : The study has been performed with 298 people who work for dental hygiene of dental clinics and students of the departments in B region by using structured and self-administered questionnaire from March to May, 2008, and were analyzed by using SPSS 14.0 program. Results : The rate to recognize the higher curricula for the bachelor degree is 88.9%. And 70.4% among them says the curricula is 'absolutely necessary' or 'necessary'. The ways to recognize the curricula are through 'professor or friends'(53.4%), through 'newspapers of broad-casting reports'(20.5%), and through 'internet'(14.4%). They want various teaching ways including the project-centered education(40.4%), lecture-like education(25.0%), field-experience within the workplace(14.4%), lectures in the workplace(10.6%), and discussion(9.6%). Those who works in the dental clinics want night classes(49.5%, 96 respondents), internet classes(16.5%, 32 respondents), and weekend classes(14.4%, 28 respondents). They like to learn majors more deeply(30.9%), important techniques and theories about their job(26.8%), and the new skills on their work(19.8%). Conclusions : persons who are workers for dental hygiene of dental clinics and students of the departments have a requirement of dental hygienists for enforcing specialty. Therefor improve to develop education program and system about development of advance course for hygienists.
In this paper we try to explain delays in one's first marriage that are observed in contemporary society by accounting for possible factors that may play a substantial role in delaying marriages. Discrete-time survival analysis with unobserved heterogeneity was employed. The result indicates that the odds of getting married compared to odds of not getting married are 0.91 times, i.e. 8.5% lower for women with bachelor's degree than women with high school diploma or below. The odds of getting married compared to odds of not getting married are 0.4 times, i.e. 59.6% lower in case of women with masters and/or doctorate program degree than women with bachelor's degree. Employed men's odds of getting married to not getting married are increased by a factor of 1.65 compared to the unemployed men. In addition, if one's family circumstances are economically below average at the age of 14, the odds decrease by a multiple of 0.65. With these results, we are able to conclude that not only education level but also one's economic ability play significant roles in determining one's marriage decision.
Purpose: By investigating the characteristics of the students ophthalmic optics under bachelor's degree course in academic credit bank system, this study aimed to utilize this survey as a basic material for the operation and the improvement of academic credit bank system as the continued education for opticians. Methods: A questionnaire survey for the characteristics of the students was conducted on 98 bachelors who registered in the academic credit bank system and an analysis was made out of the result. Results: As the purpose of selecting the academic credit bank system, acquisition of bachelor's degree took the major portion (51.0%); for information route, school or superior at work took the major portion (33.7%); and for educational institution, alma mater took the major portion (31.6%). Family cooperation (72.4%) to the students in the academic credit bank system was higher than workplace cooperation (46.9%) or social cooperation (39.8%). For the time required for the bachelor's degree course in the academic credit bank system, 2 semesters (55.6%) took the major portion, and 38.9% for entering graduate school and 5.6% for university transfer. The result showed a significant difference in the information route for the academic credit bank system (p<.05), selection criteria for educational institution (p<.05) and workplace cooperation (p<.01) depending on the age. It showed a significant difference in the selection purpose for the academic credit bank system (p<.01), average attendance day (p<.05), workplace cooperation (p<.01) and difficulties (p<.01) depending on working place. It showed a significant difference in the selection criteria for educational institution (p<.01) and family cooperation (p<.05) depending on the academic system of their alma mater. It showed a significant difference in the information route (p<.05), the selection criteria for educational institution (p<.01) and workplace cooperation (p<.05). Conclusions: It is necessary for optometrists to study and pay more attention to continuing education, and the operation and support for the academic credit bank system should be made in consideration of the characteristics of students.

The purpose of this study is to provide the information for the developing rational curriculum that is necessary in the socio-cultural situation by comparativing and analyzing the library and information science education of India and Pakistan. The conclusions of the study can be summarized as follows: 1) It is desirable that Master's degree course and M. Phil. program in India, Post-graduate diploma course and Master's degree course in Pakistan should be integrated as Master's degree course. 2) It is desirable that the duration of Master's degree course should be extended. 3) The variously expressed papers that represented the same subject or content should be unified. 4) In Bachelor's level, India establishes the various papers of library and information science, but Pakistan offers largely the core papers. 5) It is desirable that papers of historical research, progressive reference service, and information science should established, and introductory papers should be united in introduction to library and information science. 6) In Master's degree course, Indian curriculum is more up-to-date and pertinent than Pakistan's. 7) Each university should establish the papers of types of libraries standing for characteristic of his university, and harmonize library science and information science. 8) The reason that curricula of two countries are different from each other is due to lack of inter-university cooperation and standard of curriculum, therefore it is required a continuing research and effort to su n.0, pplement and reorganize the curriculum.
Purpose: This study aims to provide basic data for developing and improving a nationwide curriculum for advanced courses in dental technology departments. Methods: For the study, the 2021 academic curricula for all six universities with operating departments for advanced study of dental technology were investigated from November 18 to December 10, 2021. If a curriculum was not available for analysis on the university's website, it was obtained via e-mail or phone and then analyzed. Results: The curricula offered advanced courses in a range of 7~14 subjects, with an average of 9.7 subjects. The total number of credits ranged 20~33, and the average for all universities was 25.2. Among the total subjects opened, digital-related subjects comprised the largest proportion at 26.2%, followed by other major-related subjects (e.g., dental techniques, occlusion, and implants) and other liberal arts subjects. Conclusion: The study revealed that the curricula for bachelor's-level dental technology course at universities adequately reflect the industry demand. In the future, university leaders must maintain ongoing collaboration and consultation with industry experts with regard to school curricula for analyzing the education demand and industry prospects, including careers.
Today, it is imperative to educate students on how to best prepare themselves for the new data driven era of the future. Undergraduate education plays an important role in providing students with more Data Science opportunities and expanding the supply of Data Science talent. This paper surveys and analyzes the curricula of Data Science-related bachelor's degree programs in the United States. The 'required' and 'elective' courses in a curriculum for obtaining a B.S. degree were evaluated by course weight to indicate its necessity. As a result, it was possible to find out which courses were important in Data Science programs and which areas were emphasized for B.S. degrees in Data Science. We found that courses belong to the Data Science area, such as data management, data visualization, and data modeling, were more required for Data Science B.S. degrees in the United States.
Purpose: This descriptive study aimed to identify shift nurses' retention intention, need satisfaction, calling and vocation, and job stress, as well as the effects of these factors on retention intention. Methods: The participants of this study were 193 nurses working shifts with more than three months' clinical experience at general hospitals. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire from February 1 to 28, 2023. Nurses' Retention Index and Nurse Needs Satisfaction Scale, Korean version of the Calling and Vocational Questionnaire, Korean Occupational Stress Scale were used. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 23.0 program. Independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were conducted for statistical analysis. Results: Regarding nurses' shift work, the mean scores for retention intention, needs satisfaction, calling and vocation, and job stress were 32.12±9.04, 94.87±14.74, 26.95±6.84, and 66.12±10.34. Moreover, the nurses' retention intention differed significantly by age, education level, religion, marital status, clinical experience, satisfaction with wage, and job satisfaction. Furthermore, retention intention was positively correlated with needs satisfaction and calling and vocation and negatively correlated with job stress. Needs satisfaction, and calling and vocation as well as education level of bachelor's degree, job satisfaction had positive effects on shift work nurses' retention intention. Job dissatisfaction had relatively negative effects on retention intention compared to having neutral job satisfaction. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop programs that promote needs satisfaction, calling and vocation, and job satisfaction to improve nurses' retention intention in relation to shift work; moreover, institutional support for acquiring a bachelor's degree or higher is needed.

In this paper, I studied several universities which are especially famous for video and media fields in the United States to develop our international competitiveness. I selected the outstanding US universities and researched the various indexes of corresponding department, internship program and other activities related with company. Then, analyzed the research results and compared with the department of Video Broadcasting at the K women's university in our country. As a result, the retention rate and the graduate rate of the 4-years universities(bachelor's degree) are very higher than the 2-years associated degree among the US universities. On the other hand, although the department of Video Broadcasting at the K women's university is the associated degree course, it shows up the highest the retention rate and the graduate rate than the US universities. Therefore, we are able to recognize that K Women's University has managed its students well. However, the employment rate of the K Women's University was poor than the US universities due to the lack of the internship programs, other activities supported by companies and the career service center.

The purpose in this study is to identify beliefs about curriculum orientation of Korean secondary school home economics teachers for the development of home economics curriculum and the change of their curriculum orientation. The curriculum orientations explored were academic rationalism, technical, cognitive process, personal relevance, and social reconstruction. A mail questionnaire, Individual Curriculum Orientation Profile (ICOP), was used to survey randomly selected 525 home economics teachers. Home economics teachers agreed with the cognitive process as their predominant curriculum orientation. The second predominant type with which home economics teachers agreed most was personal relevance orientation. Home economics teachers’age, major, college type, and teaching years were significantly related to the academic rationalism curriculum orientation, and the college type for bachelor’s degree was significantly related to the technical curriculum orientation. Age and major in master’s degree were significantly related to the social reconstruction curriculum orientation.
