Recently, various services are provided by using WAVE protocol for communication among neighboring vehicles. And in order to operate stable system, the gateway for interconnecting in and out vehicle networks is required. In this paper, we propose gateway interconnecting WAVE and CAN protocol. The proposed gateway based on OSEK OS consists of a communication layer, a message translator layer and a message management layer. In the communication layer, WAVE communication part and CAN communication part are designed to communicate with WAVE and CAN. And in the message management layer, message management layer functions to store the received messages and check errors with the message. Based on these functions, experiment was conducted to analyze performance of the gateway with two scenarios such as transmitting periodically BSM as a message structure for safety services in vehicle-to-vehicle communications and responding to road side equipments requiring in-vehicle information. As a result of test, we verify our gateway performance by analyzing measured time in test scenarios.

Later flow immunoassay (LFIA) is a protein analytical method based on immunoreaction. On the LFIA based protein analytical method, bioreceptor molecule plays a key role, and so a system that evaluates and manages the binding affinity of bioreceptor is needed to secure detection reliability. In this study, Lateral Flow Immunoassay based rapid Bioreceptor Screening Method (rBSM) is presented that provide a simple and quick evaluating method for the binding affinity to the target protein of the antibody as model bioreceptor. To verify this evaluation method, Virus-like particles (VLP) and anti-VLP antibodies are selected as a model norovirus, which is target protein, and the candidate bioreceptors respectively. Among the 5 different candidate antibodies, appropriate antibody could be sorted out within 30 minutes through rBSM. In addition, selected antibodies were applied to two representative LFIA based techniques, sandwich assay and competitive assay. Among these methods, sandwich assay showed more effective VLP detection method. Through applying selected antibodies and techniques to the commercialized mass production lines, an VLP detecting LFIA kit was developed with a detection limit of 1012 copies/g of VLPs in real samples. Since this proposed method in this study could be easily transformable into other combinations with bioreceptors, it is expected that this technique would be applied to LFIA kit development system and bioreceptor quality management.

The effect of segmental joints is one of main importance for the segmental lining design when tunnels are excavated by a mechanized process. In this paper, segmental tunnel linings are analyzed by two numerical methods, namely the Beam-Spring Method (BSM) and the Solid-Interface Method (SIM). For this purpose, the Tehran Subway Line 6 Tunnel is considered to be the reference case. Comprehensive 2D numerical simulations are performed considering the soil's calibrated plastic hardening model (PH). Also, an advanced 3D numerical model was used to obtain the stress relaxation value. The SIM numerical model is conducted to calculate the average rotational stiffness of the longitudinal joints considering the joints bending moment distribution and joints openings. Then, based on the BSM, a sensitivity analysis was performed to investigate the influence of the ground rigidity, depth to diameter ratios, slippage between the segment and ground, segment thickness, number of segments and pattern of joints. The findings indicate that when the longitudinal joints are flexible, the soil-segment interaction effect is significant. The joint rotational stiffness effect becomes remarkable with increasing the segment thickness, segment number, and tunnel depth. The pattern of longitudinal joints, in addition to the joint stiffness ratio and number of segments, also depends on the placement of longitudinal joints of the key segment in the tunnel crown (similar to patterns B and B').
Animal mucins have structural characteristics similar to human salivary mucins. Animal mucins have been regarded as suitable substances for saliva substitutes. Since animal mucin molecules in saliva substitutes and host-derived antimicrobial salivary molecules exist simultaneously in whole saliva and the pellicles of patients with dry mouth, interactions may occur between these molecules. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of animal mucins on peroxidase activity in solution and on the surface of hydroxyapatite(HA) surfaces. The effects of animal mucins on peroxidase activity were examined by incubating porcine gastric mucin(PGM) or bovine submaxillary mucin (BSM) with either bovine lactoperoxidase(bLPO) or saliva samples. For solid-phase assays, immobilized animal mucins or peroxidase on three different HA surfaces(HA beads, HA disc, and bovine tooth) were used. Peroxidase activity was determined with an NbsSCN assay. The obtained results were as follows: 1. PGM enhanced the enzymatic activity of bLPO in solution phase. PGM did not affect the enzymatic activity of peroxidase in saliva sample(POS). 2. BSM did not affect the enzymatic activities of both bLPO and POS in solution phase. 3. HA-adsorbed PGM increased subsequent bLPO adsorption in all three HA phases. The activity of POS was increased on both the HA beads and bovine tooth. 4. The peroxidase activities on the HA beads and disc were increased when the HA surfaces were exposed to a mixture of bLPO and PGM. 5. The binding affinity of bLPO to PGM was greater than that of bLPO to BSM. Collectively, our results suggest that animal mucins affects the enzymatic activity of peroxidase on the HA surfaces as well as in solution. Saliva substitutes containing animal mucins may affect the function of antimicrobial components in natural saliva and saliva substitutes.

Grey mold infection rate in tomato was investigated with the inoculation of dead flowers on Botrytis selective media. The grey mold infection rate of flower after fruiting were higher in the order of after 45 days, after 25 days, and fruiting day with 100%, 87% and 65%, respectively. The number of infected flowers were increased with time increase after the flowering before fruiting. BSM (Botrytis selective medium) was used to check grey mold infection rate depending on the flowering stage and cultivar. Grey mold infection rate depending on the flowering stage was similar in all the beef-tomato cultivar as 1.5~5% at preflowering, 1.5~45% at flowering and 75~90% at fruiting. On the other hand, cherry tomato cultivar "KoKo" had lower infection rates of 0~3.5% at pre-flowering, 10~30% at flowering and 20~50% at fruiting. These resulted from the fact that beaf-tomato cultivar have much bigger flowers and larger amount of pollens compared to those of cherry tomato cultivar. The amounts of falling pollens of Botrytis spp. were checked for beaf-tomato cultivar and cherry tomato cultivar using BSTM. The amounts of falling pollens were increased as growth period was extended, and the amount of spores increased rapidly during the outbreak of grey mold. Twelve field trials in Buyeo and Iksan areas showed that Fluazinam, and Diethofencarb+Carbendazim were effective fungicides to control tomato grey mold, and these results were similar to those of field trials with BSTM. This is the first report of Fluazinam as a effective fungicide for the control of grey mold of tomato even though it has not been registered yet for the control of gray mold in tomato.

Five-axis NC machining is advanced machining technology by which highly geometrically complicated parts can be machined accurately with high machinability. In this paper, we investigate the problems of determining the machinability and part setup orientation for a given surface models. We first develop kinematic model of the five-axis machines based on the axis configuration, then develop algorithms for determining the feasibility of machining by one setup(machinability) and the part orientation for the C,A and A,B type configuration. The machinability is determined by computationally efficient procedure for finding the intersection between the feasible area on the sphere and the numerical map called binary spherical map(BSM), and the part setup is chosen such that the rotational range is minimized among the feasible configurations. The developed algorithms are tested by numerical simulations, convincing they can be readily implemented on the CAD/CAM system as an automated process planner giving the efficient machine type and setup for NC machining.

This paper addresses the challenges of dealing with uncertainties based on interval analysis. An interval approach is proposed on the basis of Boundary Selection Method (BSM) for treating systems of linear interval equations in the presence of columnwise dependencies. An iterative procedure is developed for the problem solving where uncertainties are characterized in the form of interval quantities. An applied example is used to illustrate effectiveness and usefulness of the proposed approach. This new method can be applied for such circumstances that involve finite element analysis of structures, inverse dynamic analysis of mechanisms, and worst case design studies in the presence of the uncertainties.
Effects of growth regulators and medium components were tested for shoot multiplication and callus growth from shoot explants of black locust. During shoot multiplication, callus growth at the cut end of shoot explants proceeded shoot development. The basal callus growth seemed to be a function of both mineral components and cytokinin supplemented in the medium. Maximum callus growth was induced by 0.5${\mu}$M BAP and the callus growth decreased as the level of BAP increased. Positive correlations were found between basal callus growth, and shoot multiplication and growth. Shoot multiplication was greatest on BSM medium (black locust shoot culture medium) supplemented with 1 $\mu$M BAP. With medium containing high nitrogen content, both shoot multiplication and growth were significantly enhanced. A new BRM medium was the most effective for rooting of black locust among three rooting media tested.
