P와 B 이온이 함유된 나노 티타니아 광촉매의 광 전기화학적 수소 제조 성능 (Photo-Electrochemical Hydrogen Production Over P- and B- Incorporated $TiO_2$ Nanometer Sized Photo-Catalysts)

  • 본 연구에서는 보다 효율적인 광 전기화학적 수소제조를 위하여 광촉매로써 티타니아 골격에 positive-type 반도체로써 B 이온, negative-type 반도체로써 P 이온을 삽입하여 고온 고압에서 용매열(solvothermal)법으로 P- 그리고 B-$TiO_2$ 나노 입자를 제조하였다. 제조한 P-$TiO_2$와 B-$TiO_2$의 물리적 특성은 X-ray 회절분석법, 투과전자현미경, 자외선-가시선 분광광도계, 발광분광계를 통해 확인하였다. 메탄올/물(1:1) 광분해 수소제조 실험 결과, 1.0 mol% B-$TiO_2$ 광촉매가 순수 anatase $TiO_2$ 광촉매 보다 활성이 향상되었으며, 0.5 g의 1.0 mol% B-$TiO_2$ 촉매를 사용한 경우 10시간 반응 시 0.42 mL의 수소가 발생되었다.

  • The $0.96MgTiO_3-0.04SrTiO_3$ ceramics with $B_2O_3$(10wt%) were prepared by the conventional mixed oxide method. The structural properties were investigated with sintering temperature by XRD. According to the X-ray diffraction pattern of the $0.96MgTiO_3-0.04SrTiO_3$ ceramics with $B_2O_3$(10wt%), the ilmenite $MgTiO_3$ and perovskite $SrTiO_3$ structures were coexisted and secondary phase of the $MgTi_2O_5$ were appeared. In the case of $0.96MgTiO_3-0.04SrTiO_3+B_2O_3$(10wt%) ceramics sintered $1225^{\circ}C$, dielectric constant, quality factor and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency were 19.82, 62,735GHz, $-2.983ppm/^{\circ}C$, respectively.

  • B₂O₃침가에 따른 (Zn/sub 0.8.Mg/sub 0.2/)TiO₃계 세라믹스의 마이크로파 유전특성에 대하여 연구하였다. B₂O₃의 침가량에 비례하여 B₂O₃와 (Zn/sub 0.8.Mg/sub 0.2/)TiO₃와외 반응에 의한 TiO₂ 석출물의 양이 증가하며 공진주파수 온도계수가 증가하였다. 소결온도에 따라 액상의 양, 미세조직, TiO₂와 2차상의 석출거동이 상이하게 나타났다. 6.19mo1.% B₂O₃물 첨가한 시편을 900℃에서 5시간 소결시 ε/sub r/ = 23.5, Q×f/sub o/ = 67,500 ㎓, T/sub f/ = -1.42 ppm/℃의 우수한 마이크로파 유전특성을 얻을 수 있었다.

PHOTOCATALYTIC ACTIVITY OF ARTIFICIAL TITANIUM(IV) OXIDE-$TIO_2(B)$-AND TITANATES SUSPENDED IN AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF ALIPHATIC ALCOHOLS

  • Powders of artificial crystallites of titanium(IV) oxide, TiO$_2$(B), were synthesized by the calcination of tetratitanic acid (hydrate, $H_2Ti_4O_9H_2O$; TTA). The relating titanates, potassium octatitanate ($K_2Ti_8O_{17}$) and octatitanic acid($H_2Ti_8O_{17}$), were also prepared. These powders, loaded with small amount of Pt, were suspended in an aqueous solution of 2-propanol and irradiated under argon atmosphere at 298 K + 0.5 deg. All the photocatalysts tested in this study produced almost equimolar amount of acetone and molecular hydrogen (H$_2$). Among them TiO$_2$(B) and TYA showed the higher photocatalytic activity but rather lower than commercial titanium(IV) oxide (TiO$_2$) powders. The photocatalytic activity of TiO$_2$(B) for 2-propanol dehydrogenation in deaerated aqueous suspension increased with the elevating calcination temperature. Comparison of rate of H$_2$ formation from methanol and 2-propanol solutions by the TiO$_2$(B) photocatalyst suggested a possibility of selection of substrate with its molecular size by TiO$_2$(B)

  • 본 연구에서는 유전상수가 크고, 유전체 손실이 적으며, 사용온도 범위에서 정전용량 변화율(TCC : tem-perature coefficient of capacitance)이 작고, 고압에 견딜 수 있는 재료를 개발하기 위하여 중고압용 capacitance의 기본재료로써 (Sr.Pb.Ca)TiO3-xBi2O3.3TiO2 계에서 Bi2O3.3TiO2의 mol.%를 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 mol.%로 변화시켰으며, 그 결과 고용한계 함량이 6mol.%이며, 6mol.%이상에서는 침상구조의 증가에 기인하여 유전율이 다시 감소하는 경향을 보였다. dopant로써 SiO2, Nb2O3, MnO2를 선정하여 첨가한 결과, MnO2를 첨가한 것이 유전성질이 가장 우수하였으며, MnO2의 함량이 0, 0.15, 0.3, 0.45 wt.% 증가함에 따라서 유전율의 감소와 동시에, TOC특성의 급격한 향상을 가져왔다.

Enhanced Photocatalytic Properties of Visible Light Responsive La/TiO2-Graphene Composites for the Removal of Rhodamin B in Water

  • $La/TiO_2$ - graphene composites were synthesized in this study, and applied to the photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) under UV-visible light irradiation. X-ray diffraction (XRD), surface analysis, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis demonstrated that $La/TiO_2$ nanoparticles were well distributed on the surface of graphene, and formed the heterostructure of $La/TiO_2$-graphene. Compared to the pure $TiO_2$, $La/TiO_2$-graphene composites displayed much higher photocatalytic activities in RhB degradation under UV-visible light irradiation. The photocatalytic data of $La/TiO_2$-graphene composites exhibit extended light absorption in the visible light region, and possess better charge separation capability than that of pure $TiO_2$. The high photocatalytic activity was attributed to the composite's high adsorptivity, extended light absorption, and increased charge separation efficiency, due to the excellent electrical properties of graphene, and the large surface contact between graphene and $La/TiO_2$ nanoparticles.

  • In this paper, reflectance and the dielectric characteristics for $P_2O_5-ZnO-BaO$ system and $SiO_2-ZnO-B_2O_3$ system have been investigated as a function of contents of $TiO_2$. The reflectance was decreased with increasing the contents of $TiO_2$ and the reflectance of $P_2O_5-ZnO-BaO$ system was lowered than that of $SiO_2-ZnO-B_2O_3$ system. The dielectric constant of $P_2O_5-ZnO-BaO$ system was higher than $SiO_2-ZnO-B_2O_3$ system, and the dielectric constant in the both system was increased with increasing of $TiO_2$ contents. This can be explained as the space charge effects. These results are could be applied to the under plate dielectrics of PDP required high reflective ratio and breakdown strength.

Crystalline Phases and Dielectric Properties of Crystallized Glasses in the System (Ca, Sr, Ba) O-Al2O3-B2O3-SiO2-TiO2

  • Crystallization of glasses in the system (Ca, Sr, Ba)$O-Al_2O_3-B_2O_3-SiO_2-TiO_2$ and dielectric properties of crystallized glasses were investigated. As increasing B2O3 content and decreasing SiO2 content in the glass, the major crystalline phase changed from $(Sr, Ba)_2TiSi_2O_8$ to (Ca, Sr, Ba)TiO3, the dielectric constant of crystallized glasses increased and the Temperature Coefficient of Capacitance (TCC) changed to negative. The dielectric constant and TCC was estimated for (Sr, Ba)2TiSi2O8 phase as 18 and -440 $ppm/^{\circ}C$, respectively and for (Ca, Sr, Ba)TiO3 phase as 307 and -1900 $ppm/^{\circ}C$, respectively. The dielectric properties of (Ca, Sr, Ba)TiO3 phase (in this study) were similar to those of (Ca, Ba) TiO_3 solid-solution^12)$, but $(Sr, Ba)_2TiSi_2O_8$ phase (in this study) and $Sr_2TiSi_2O_\;8^4$ showed the different properties.

PbO-B$_2$O$_3$-TiO$_2$-BaO계의 유리화에 대한 전이온도 및 성분 원소비의 영향 (Effects of Transition Temperature and Atomic Ratio on Glass Formation Tendency in the PbO-B$_2$O$_3$-TiO$_2$-BaO System)

  • The glass forming ability of the PbO-B2O3-TiO3-BaO system was investigated in relation to transitieon tem-peratures and the atomic ratio between constituents. Glass forming tendency was improved as the tem-peratures and the atomic ratio between constituents. Glass forming tendency was improved as the tem-perature differences between liquidus temperature and crystallization(or glass transition) temperature de-creased and the temperature difference between crystallization and glass transition temperature increases. The atomic ratio could be used as a criterion to deign glass systems. The interposition of B and Ba atoms between Pb and Ti atoms was one of important factors in glass formation.

Crystal Structure Dependence for Reactivities of B12-TiO2 Hybrid Catalysts with Anatase and Rutile Forms

  • The debromination of phenethyl bromide by the $B_{12}-TiO_2$ hybrid catalyst under UV light irradiation was investigated. The catalytic efficiency was dependent on the type of $TiO_2$. The anatase form of $TiO_2$ was superior to the rutile form of $TiO_2$. The selectivity of the product was also dependent on the crystal structure of $TiO_2$, and the rutile form of $TiO_2$ showed a high selectivity for the formation of the coupling product, 2,3-diphenylbutane, when compared to that of the anatase form of $TiO_2$.
