WCDMA 시스템에서 송신 다이버시티 기법의 성능 비교 분석 (Comparative Performance Analysis of Transmit Diversity Technique for WCDMA Systems)

  • 본 논문에서는 3세대 이동통신시스템의 요소 기술인 송신 다이버시티 기법에 대한 성능 분석을 수행한다. WCDMA 시스템의 규격으로 채택된 송신 다이버시티 기법은 귀환 데이터의 유무에 따라 개루프 송신 다이버시티와 폐루프 송신 다이버시티로 나뉘어지며 DPCH 신호의 시공간 부호화를 통해 다이버시티 이득을 얻는다. 이러한 송신 다이버시티 기법의 성능 분석을 위해 WCDMA format #13을 목표 시스템으로 하여 이동속도, 경로 수, 파워 컨트롤, 귀환 데이터의 지연에 대한 영향을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 비교 분석한다.

  • Ionospheric anomaly is one of the major error sources which deteriorate the GNSS performance. In the equatorial region, effects of the ionospheric plasma bubbles are of great interest because they are pretty common phenomena, especially in the period of the high solar activity. In order to evaluate the GNSS performance under circumstance of the bubbles, an ionospheric scintillation monitor has been developed and installed in Bangkok, Thailand. Furthermore, a model simulating the ionospheric delay and scintillation due to the bubbles has been developed. Based on these developments, the effects of the simulated plasma bubbles are analyzed and their agreement with the real observation is demonstrated. An availability degradation of the GPS ground based augmentation system (GBAS) caused by the bubbles is exampled in details. Finally, an integrated GPS/INS approach based on the Doppler frequency is proposed to remedy the deterioration.

  • The effects of weather on aircraft operations are predominant. In particular, severe weather, such as fog, strong winds, rainfall and snow, can cause delays, diversion or cancellation of operations. Of these, fog is considered the main reason for restricting aircraft operations. Meanwhile, Precision instrument approach using instrument landing system(ILS) has allowed aircraft to land safely even in situations where visibility is limited. However, the precision instrument approach require not only the performance of the aircraft but also the enhancement of the runway. In November 2018, Gimpo international Airport raised the category of the runway 14R from CAT-IIIa to CAT-IIIb to improve aviation safety and operational efficiency. Based on this, the research presented a methodology for estimating benefits according to the category upgrade of the precision approach runway, and estimated the benefits to Gimpo International Airport based on the methodology presented.

  • GPS provides two services which include SPS(Standard Positioning Service) and PPS(Precise Positioning Service). While SPS users can navigate in more precise due to cancellation of SA(Selective Availability), SPS users has still less precision navigation than PPS users. L1/L2CS integrated receiver can provide more precise navigation to SPS users because the delay of Ionosphere will be cancelled by using two frequencies (L1 and L2). This paper designs an integrated L1/L2CS digital correlator to prepare the L2C signal that will be provided in 2003. Also L2CS transmitter is designed to confirm L2CS correlator.

  • Ionospheric signal delay is a critical factor for precision differential GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite Systems) applications such as GBAS(Ground-Based Augmentation System) and SBAS (Satellite-Based Augmentation System). Most concern is the impact of the ionospheric storm caused by the interaction between Solar and geomagnetic activities. After brief description of the ionosphere and ionospheric storm, ionospheric models for SBAS are discussed. History of recent ionospheric storms is reviewed and their impact on GNSS is discussed. In order to support Korean GNSS augmentation system development, a preliminary study on the regional ionosphere performed. A software tool for computing regional ionospheric maps is being developed, and initial results during a recent storm period is analyzed.

GNSS를 이용한 전리층 기울기 추정 방법 비교 (Comparison of Ionospheric Spatial Gradient Estimation Methods using GNSS)

  • The high ionospheric spatial gradient during ionospheric storm is the most concern when applying GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System) augmentation systems for aircraft precision approach. Since the ionospheric gradient level depends on geographical location as well as the storm, understanding the ionospheric gradient statistics over a specific regional area is necessary for operating the augmentation systems. This paper compares three ionosphere gradient computation methods, direct differentiation between two receivers' ionospheric delay signal for a common satellite, derivation from a grid ionosphere map, and derivation from a plate ionosphere map. The plate map method provides a good indication on the gradient variation behavior over a regional area with limited number of GNSS receivers. The residual analysis for the ionosphere storm detection is discussed as well.

Dual Edge-Triggered NAND-Keeper Flip-Flop for High-Performance VLSI

  • This paper describes novel low-power high-speed flip-flop called dual edge-triggered NAND keeper flip-flop (DETNKFF). The flip-flop achieves substantial power reduction by incorporating dual edge-triggered operation and by eliminating redundant transitions. It also minimizes the data-to-output latency by reducing the height of transistor stack on the critical path. Moreover, DETNKFF allows negative setup time to provide useful attribute of soft clock edge by incorporating the pulse-triggered operation. The proposed flip-flop was designed using a $0.35{\;}\mutextrm{m}$ CMOS technology. The simulation results indicate that, for the typical input switching activity of 0.3, DETNKFF reduces power consumption by as much as 21 %. Latency is also improved by about 6 % as compared to the conventional flip-flop. The improvement of power-delay product is also as much as 25 %.

MSAS 전리층 보정정보 및 적도변이에 의한 영향 분석 (Analysis of MSAS Ionosphere Correction Messages and the Effect of Equatorial Anomaly)

  • Japanese MSAS (Multi-functional Satellite Augmentation System) satellites have been transmitting GPS satellite orbit and ionosphere correction information since 2005. MSAS coverage includes Far East Asia, and it can improve the accuracy and integrity of GPS position solutions in Korea. This research analyzed the ionosphere correction information from the MSAS ionosphere correction data. The ionosphere delay data observed by a dual frequency receiver is compared with the MSAS ionosphere correction data. The variation of MSAS GIVE values are analyzed in connection with the equatorial anomaly and ionosphere scintillation.

  • Attitude command response type required for enhanced handling qualities of helicopter can be implemented by mechanical automatic flight control system with SAS actuators which have limited authorities. However, the early saturation of SAS actuator hinders the helicopter from following the attitude command for large stick command. Auto-trim controller can delay SAS actuator's saturation by utilizing trim actuators and allows the attitude command response type for larger stick command. This paper describes the control law for limited authority system of helicopter with auto-trim. Limited authority system is applied to BO-105 linear dynamic model and simulation is performed along with handling quality analysis.

네트워크 분석방법을 활용한 중국 공항터미널 연구 동향분석에 관한 연구 (Research trend of Chinese airport terminal using the Network Analysis)

  • 글로벌 경제의 가속화와 더불어 물류산업에 있어서 항공물류는 점차 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다. 항공물류산업의 기초로서 공항터미널은 큰 주목의 대상이 되고 있다. 본 연구는 중국 공항터미널의 연구동향을 분석하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 하였으며, 2003년부터 2020년까지 65개 해외 논문의 키워드를 추출하고 SNA방법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 첫 번째 기간 (2003-2008)은 "Airport Terminal", "Boned" 및 "Chinese Mainland"와 같은 키워드가 상위 키워드로 도출되었다. 두 번째 기간 (2009-2014)의 결과는 "China", "DEA", "Airport" 및 "Flight Delay"와 같은 키워드들이 도출되었고, 세 번째 기간(2015-2020)에는 "Airport Competitiveness"와 "Aviation Network"등의 키워드가 상위로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 경제의 성장에 따라 중국 공항터미널의 연구동향은 공항시설 건설에서 네트워크 개발로 점차 확대되는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 본 연구는 중국 공항터미널의 연구동향을 분석하였으며, 향후 한국을 포함한 인근국가의 정책입안자, 학계, 실무자에게 시사점을 제공한다.
