This paper studied the effects of the content and the orientation of the disk shape fillers on the modulus of PP composites. The experimental results were compared with the theoretical calculations which included the three dimensional ellipsoids and analyzed by two aspect ratios, ${\rho}_{\alpha}=a_1/a_3$and ${\rho}_{\beta}=a_1/a_2$proposed by Lee and his researchers. Mica and talc were used as disk shape fillers in the composites. The shapes of mica and talc were observed by SEM and aspect ratios were statistically calculated. For the case of mica, the average aspect ratios were ${\rho}_{\alpha}=13.5$ and ${\rho}_{\beta}=1.8$, and for the case of talc, they were ${\rho}_{\alpha}=3.8$ and ${\rho}_{\beta}=1.4$. Also, the effects of two aspect ratios and the content of filler on the mechanical properties were studied: For 30 wt% of mica, $E_{11}$ increased up to about 2.7 times, and for the other case of talc, $E_{11}$ increased up to about 2.3 times, respectively.

UV-curable coatings have been used in various industries due to their advantages such as high mechanical property, good solvent resistance, fast curing process and low volatile organic compounds. However, a lack of flexibility of UV-cured films is a weak point for the pre-coated system of roll-to-roll process. In this study, UV-curable polycarbonate-based methacrylates were synthesized with polycarbonate diol, isophorone diisocyanate and 2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate to improve flexibility of the UC-cured films. The effects of polyol molecular weight, content of photoinitiator and monomers on the UV-curing behavior, flexibility and properties were investigated. The UV-curing behavior was measured by a photo-DSC, the pendulum hardness, tensile strength, viscoelastic properties were also evaluated.

This study discusses a remote control torch system equipped with a GMAW double wire reel. The welding machine is 30m away from the wire feeder at the industrial site and the feeder is three to five meters away from the torch. Accordingly, the welders cannot control the current and voltage that meets the welding condition during work when they are working at a place that prevents them from seeing the control panel, such as inside a vehicle or tank or at a far work site. They also have no choice but to stop working to change the wire reel when it is burned out completely. Such work suspension resulting from frequent moves to adjust the current and voltage as well as to replace the wire and subsequent cooling causes welding defects. This study produced a remote control torch equipped with a double wire reel by simplifying and streamlining the existing GMAW functions to reduce the troubling issue. The remote control torch equipped with a double wire reel and the existing $CO_2$ /MAG welding torch were applied as a V-groove butt in the vertical position using 6mm rolled steel for a SM50A welding structure. After welding, the condition of welded surface beads underwent a visual inspection and radiographic inspection to analyze the welding quality inside the welded part. This study also evaluated the reduction of welding defects, cost saving, the replacing performance against the existing commercial welders, and the effects on possible compatibility.
Purpose - The ICT market in the EU is lagging behind that of the US; however, algorithm and software development within the EU have grown steadily, and they involve focusing on the creative cultural convergence conceptualized as part of Horizon 2020 and connecting neighboring markets in the EE and the Mediterranean region. It is essential to study the requirements to market the EU's creative ICT development in emerging industrial countries after examining its applicability in these countries. Research design, data, and methodology - This study deals with data pertaining to the EU's creative industry and competitive edge. The global cultural expansion of the EU facilitates a new concept involving not only low-cost IT products to enhance local cultural artifacts through R&D and the construction of efficient infrastructure services, but also information exchange with a realistic commercialization of the technology that can be applied for creative cultural localization. In the European industry, research on algorithms has been applied for the benefit of consumers. We investigated how the process is conducted in the EU. Results - Europe needs to adjust its economic structure to the local culture as part of IT distribution convergence. The convergence has been converted into a production algorithm with IT in the form of low-cost production. This is because there is an attempt to improve the quality of transport infrastructure, workforce availability, and the distribution of the distance to the local industries and consumers, using IT algorithms. Integrated into the manufacturing industry, based on the ICT infrastructure and solutions, smart localized regional clusters are formed with the help of grafting. Europe has own strategy to increase the number of hub-and-spoke cities. Europe is now becoming integrated, with an EPC system for regional cooperation rather than national competition in ICT technology. Europe has also been recognized in this study as changing the step-by-step paradigm for global competitiveness through new creative culture industries. Conclusions - As a result, there are several ways of converging with others through EU R&D intensity; therefore, the EU can be seen as successfully increasing marginal value, which is useful in developing a special industrial cluster or local cultural cities that create converged development by connecting people and objects with IT. In fact, when compared to the US, Europe has a strong culture and the car industries have a tendency to overshadow the IT industries with integration of services in IT distribution. Considering the rapid environmental changes, the convergence of IT services is likely to take place in Europe, similar to the pharmaceutical industry and the automotive industry. This requires a focus on human resources and automated systems management. The trend is to move away from low-wage industries, switched to key personnel centers of the local university-industry. EU emphasizes the creation of IT market demand in Europe involving local cultural convergence for marketing as the second step to strengthen the economic hub-and-spoke areas.

The research for coatings is one of the most popular and active research in the polymer industry. For the coatings, electronics industry, medical and optical fields are growing more important. In particular, the trend is the increasing of the technical requirements for the performance and accuracy of the coatings by the development of automotive and electronic parts. In addition, the industry has a need of more intelligent and automated system in the industry is increasing by introduction of the IoT and big data analysis based on the environmental information and the context information. In this paper, we propose an optimization model for the design of experiments based coating formulation data objects using the Internet technologies and big data analytics. In this paper, the coating formulation was calculated based on the best data analysis is based on the experimental design, modify the operator with respect to the error caused based on the coating formulation used in the actual production site data and the corrected result data. Further optimization model to correct the reference value by leveraging big data analysis and Internet of things technology only existing coating formulation is applied as the reference data using a manufacturing environment and context information retrieval in color and quality, the most important factor in maintaining and was derived. Based on data obtained from an experiment and analysis is improving the accuracy of the combination data and making it possible to give a LOT shorter working hours per data. Also the data shortens the production time due to the reduction in the delivery time per treatment and It can contribute to cost reduction or the like defect rate reduced. Further, it is possible to obtain a standard data in the manufacturing process for the various models.
As increase the number of vehicles, the issue of greenhouse gas that was emitted by them became important. As a result, greenhouse gas (GHG) regulations are being strengthened and efforts are being actively made to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the automotive industry. In the other hand, regulations for harmful emission of vehicles have been reinforced by step. Especially, the lastly applied step, so called Euro 6, not only decreased NOx limit down to half of Euro 5 but also introduced real driving emission limit for NOx and PN. It is a challenge for manufacturers to meet the recent GHG regulation as well as the latest emission regulation. To overcome these regulations a De-NOx after-treatment system is being applied to diesel vehicles that are known emitting the lowest GHG among conventional internal combustion engines. At the time of the introduction of Euro 6 emission standard in Korea, in the domestic fuel economy certification test, some diesel vehicles emitted more $CH_4$ than Euro 5 vehicles. As a result, it was confirmed that LNT-equipped vehicles emitted a high level $CH_4$ and the level exceeded the US emission standard. In order to determine the reason, various prior literature was investigated. However, it was difficult to find a detailed study on the methane increase with LNT. In this paper, to determine whether the characteristics of vehicles equipped with LNT the affects the above issue and other greenhouse gases, 6 passenger cars were tested on several emission test modes and ambient temperatures with a environment chamber chassis dynamometer. 2 cars of these were equipped with LNT only, other 2 cars had SCR only, and LNT + SCR were applied to remaining 2 cars. The test result shown that the vehicles equipped with LNT emitted more $CH_4$ than the vehicles with SCR only. Also, $CH_4$ tended to increase as the higher acceleration of the test mode. However, as the test temperature decreases, $CH_4$ tended to decreased. $CO_2$ was not affected by kinds of De-NOx device but characteristic of the test modes.

Recent Linux operating systems having been increasingly used, ranging from automotive consoles, CCTV, IoT devices, and mobile devices to various versions of the kernel. Because these devices can be used as strong evidence in criminal investigations, there is a risk of destroying evidence through file deletion. Ext filesystem forensics has been studied in depth because it can recovery deleted files without depending on the kind of device. However, studies have been carried out without consideration of characteristics of file system which may vary depending on the kernel. This problem can lead to serious situations, such as those that can impair investigative ability and cause doubt of evidence ability, when an actual investigation attempts to analyze a different version of the kernel. Because investigations can be performed on various distribution and kernel versions of Linux file systems at the actual investigation site, analysis of the metadata changes that occur when files are deleted by Linux distribution and kernel versions is required. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the difference of metadata according to the Linux kernel as a solution to this and recovery deleted file. After that, the investigating agency needs to consider the metadata change caused by the difference of Linux kernel version when performing Ext filesystem forensics.
Selective catalytic reduction(SCR) method is widely used among various methods for reducing nitrogen oxides in combustion devices of coal power plant. In the present study, the computational fluid dynamic analysis was accomplished to derive the optimal shape of ammonia-dilution air mixing device in a ammonia injection grid. The distribution characteristics of flow and $NH_3$ concentration had been elucidated for the reference shape of ammonia mixing device(Case 1). In the mixing device of Case 1, it could be seen that $NH_3$ distribution was shifted to the wall opposite to the inlet of the ammonia injection pipe. For the improvement of $NH_3$ distribution, the case(Case 2) with closing one upper injection hole and 4 side injection holes, the case(Case 3) with installing horizontal plate at the upper of ammonia injection pipe, the case(Case 4) with installing horizontal plate and horizontal arc plate at he upper of ammonia injection pipe were investigated by analyzing flow and $NH_3$ concentration distributions. From the present study, it was found that the % RMS of $NH_3$ for Case 4 was 4.92%, which was the smallest value among four cases, and the range of $R_{NH3}$ also has the optimally uniform distribution, -10.82~8.34%.
How has the passenger car's architecture evolved? In the meantime, the discussions on the car architecture have been mixed, i.e., integral, modular, and the coexistence of two types. Therefore, in this study, we aim to develop two indices can measure the degree of modularization of passenger car and its all modules using global trade data. By applying the indices to the framework of architecture positioning that reflects the hierarchical structure of a product, we examined that the degree of modularization of the passenger car architecture has been enhanced. Meanwhile, the degree of modularization differs across the modules that make up the car. Specifically, we observed the higher degree of modularization in front-end, cockpit and seat modules. Whereas, we found that body module had a relatively low degree of modularization. In particular, we observed that the platform of passenger car has notably modularized due to carmakers' efforts to achieve model diversification and reduction of cost and period in new product development at the same time. Interestingly, we showed that three modules, i.e., engine, chassis (relatively less modularized), and transmission (relatively highly modularized), had a different level of modularization, even if they commonly make up the platform. We contribute to the suggestion for analytical approaches that examine the degree of modularization and its progress longitudinally. In addition, we propose the necessity of decomposition of a system into elements in a study of product architecture, considering the possibly distinctive progress of modularization across the elements.

In this study, a gasoline test vehicle was evaluated for drive quality in emissions and fuel economy tests. The measurement results were compared with the manufacturer's suggested values to evaluate whether the tolerance ranges (fuel efficiency -5%, greenhouse gas +5%) were exceeded. We carried out tests with test subjects based on the SAE J2951 evaluation method. The test vehicle was a 2L gasoline vehicle. The drive following performance was found to increase under deliberate driving conditions and decreased in smooth driving conditions. As a result of the analysis of the drive following performance, the closer the value is to 1, the more accurate the driving is. (-) indicates harsh conditions, and (+) indicates gentle conditions. The basic data on the driver following between testers was obtained by analysis of the tests. The fuel efficiency correlation with the drive following performance within the target speed range of the fuel consumption mode. In the future, these measurement results can serve as key data for securing an exhaust gas database and fuel efficiency system for each measurement mode.
