Due to the growth of economy and the advancement of IT, the life expectancy has been prolonged and the interests in health have greatly increased. Recently the request for systems that enable measuring the bio-signals of patients in the non medical organizations, such as home, and transmitting them to medical staffs at remote sites for monitoring them. In this paper, we present an agent-based u-health system for patients or suspects with heart diseases. Our system consists of portable devices for measuring bio-signals and agents that perform data collection, data storage, automatic detection of abnormal status in patients, and HL7-based data exchange in a cooperative way. The main features of the system are : the agent-based architecture facilitates the addition of new service modules as well as the modification of existing ones; an intelligent agent is provided which automatically detects situations in which the bio-signals of patients are abnormal; the medical data standard is supported so that the communication with other systems is very easy. To our survey, there have been few previous systems which support all those features in a seamless way.

A fire risk assessment in rack-type warehouse is typically determined based on the following factors: 1. flammability and fire loads for storage of goods, packing materials, and pallet, 2. a ceiling height of warehouse indoor spaces, and 3. height, arrangement, and spacing for storage racks. For appropriately extinguishing and protecting the fire in warehouses, therefore, it is necessary to classify combustibles considering the previously mentioned factors and to develop design Standards for sprinkler system. As the first step to apply automatic sprinkler system to domestic warehouses, this study investigated characteristics for commodity distribution and warehouse configuration using 28 warehouses in five distribution complexes located in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. In addition, this study analyzed Standards for commodity distribution adopted in USA, Europe, and Japan. Using the field survey analysis, this study was aimed to provide baseline data to prepare for Commodity Classification Standard for warehouses in South Korea.

With rapid spread of handheld devices like cellular or smart phones, a short message service (SMS) comes on the public as a communication means. SMS is very cheap and can be easily written down on the storage in order not to forget it, hence it is widely used to inform schedules (time and place). In this paper, we develop a system for automatically registering schedules extracted from SMS text messages. SMS text messages are very short and concise, but include a lot of Internet words like slangs and abbreviations. These have made it difficult to extract information on schedules from them. Also handheld devices have some limitations on computing power and storage and then applying general natural language processing modules like morphological analysis to the devices are somewhat hard. To relax these burdens, we extract schedule informations from SMS messages using machine learning methods like condition random field (CRF) without using any language processing modules and register the informations on the schedule management system of handheld devices. Our proposed automatic schedule registration system has implemented on Samsung Omnia phone for experiments.

A real-time joint transform correlator by using JPEG-compressed reference images is proposed as practical solution to storage problem and improvement of processing time of automatic target recognition system [1]. Effects of compression on recognition performance of join transform correlator are quantitatively investigated under situations where the target is suffered from noise and has contrast difference with respect to the reference. Two images with different spatial-frequency contents and contrast were used as the test scenes. The simulation results show that, the recognition performance of joint transform correlator by using the compressed reference images with high spatial-frequency components is more sensitive to noise and contrast difference than the low spatial-frequency image.

미곡종합처리장은 개소 당 평균 30억이 투자되는 방대한 시설로 수확된 산물상태의 벼를 수집ㆍ건조ㆍ저장ㆍ가공 및 포장공정이 일괄적으로 처리되는 농업의 첨단기술이 결집된 시설이라 할 수 있다. 미곡처리장은 약 80개의 단위기계와 100여종의 부대시설로 구성되어 있다. 미곡종합처리장은 거의 모든 과정이 중앙제어기에 의해 제어 가능하다. 그러나 미곡종합 처리장의 상온통풍건조시설은 기상조건, 투입벼의 함수율 및 반입량에 따라서 송풍기와 히터의 운전방법을 달리해야 하며, 또한 투입벼의 함수율에 따라서 벼의 퇴적고를 달리해야 하는 등 시설의 운전에 세심한 주의가 필요하다. This Paper proposed the modified binary n-gram algorithm for the contextual post processing system in English sentence. Backward gram was used to correct the first position error in a word. It is not requires additional storage but more times of comparison it allows interactive correction routine. Experiments were implemented using PASCAL language on a micro computer, IBM PC/XT. This algorithm improves the correction rate around $4{\sim}5%$ on a limited experimental environments.

To apply Sievert's type apparatus to thermal analysis of hydrogen absorption materials, the dehydrogenation of $LaNi_5$ system was investigated. As the initial wt% of hydrogen was increased from 0.44 to 1.24 wt%, the peak temperature of evolution rate shifted to higher temperature. However, with the initial wt% of hydrogen higher than 0.95 wt%, the peak temperature of evolution rate did not change. As the heating rate was increased, the peak temperature increased; the peak temperatures for heating rates 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 K/min were 262.2, 264.1, and 265.9 K respectively. The Sievert's type automatic apparatus can be successively applied to the thermal analysis of $LaNi_5$ hydride.

The performance evaluation of flexible manufacturing systems or cells at the stages of design and planning is one of important issues in manufacturing. For that reason, Guo has presented an approachbased on moment generating function and generalized stochastic PetriNets for performance analysis. In this paper, Buo's approach is extended tothe cases of flexible manufacturing cell including one machining center with a local buffer, AS/RS(Automatic Storage and Retrieval System), set-up station and AGV(Automated Guided Vehicle). Then the performance measures from this approach is compared with simulation. The major advantage ofthis method over existing performance evaluation methods is the ability to compute analytic solutions for performance measures.

The standard weighing raingauges have a capacity limit in measuring the amounts of precipitation. Exceptions are those using a siphon to drain the collected water during observations. To reduce the drain time of the siphon type or to overcome the hassles associated with the manual emptying of the bucket for measuring, the most of weighing gauges use a large bucket for storing of rainwater to be measured. To avoid the above-mentioned adverse requirements, we propose a paired barrel for a weighing raingauge. The paired barrel may improve the accuracy of the weighing raingauges by getting rid of their capacity limit and make the gauges smaller in size and lighter in weight than the conventional ones. We showed its proper function and the feasibility of realization by testing a prototype paired barrel.

This system is an unified Digital Generator Controller. It has an Electronical Generator Sequencer which control the sequence of a generator, an AVR(Automatic Voltage Regulator) which perform the regulation of generator terminal voltage optimally to user's needs, and an Auto Synchronizer, it can switch the power source on from generally used an the generator to load automatically. It also possesses a Battery Charger which charge a storage battery to appropriate voltage level. Here we describe it's configuration, specifications, the way of control, figure, functions and waveforms.
