유아 대상 환경교육을 위한 증강현실 기반 통합교수학습방법 적용 가능성 탐색 (Exploring the Possibility of Applying the Integrated Teaching and Learning Method based on AR for Environmental Education for Young Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of integrated teaching and learning method using augmented reality for effective promotion of child - friendly attitude and environmental preservation attitude and explored its applicability. For this purpose, based on the augmented reality fairy tale, we designed an experience - oriented integrated teaching and learning method such as reading book, story - telling, drawing, environmental conservation practice activity. The experimental group was divided into two groups: augmented reality reading fairy tales (A) and children's book reading fairy tales (B). First, interest, immersion, and empathy were higher in the application environment of integrated learning teaching method based on Augmented Reality. Second, there was no difference between the two groups in content understanding. Third, in terms of expressiveness, it was verified that various expressions were expressed in the applying environment of the integrated teaching - learning method based on augmented reality through drawing activities. Fourth, in practice activities, more students were practicing in the augmented reality - based integrated teaching - learning method applied environment, and the number of practice activities of individual students was also confirmed. This study suggests that the application of the integrated teaching and learning method can enhance the effect of education when using the smart teaching media using the augmented reality in early childhood education.

  • In this paper, we introduce some approximate optimal solutions and an augmented Lagrangian function in nonlinear programming, establish dual function and dual problem based on the augmented Lagrangian function, discuss the relationship between the approximate optimal solutions of augmented Lagrangian problem and that of primal problem, obtain approximate KKT necessary optimality condition of the augmented Lagrangian problem, prove that the approximate stationary points of augmented Lagrangian problem converge to that of the original problem. Our results improve and generalize some known results.

Game Design of Augmented Reality RPG using Artificial Intelligence

  • Currently the mobile augmented reality does not require supplemental hardware, such as markers like specific images or depth cameras, in order to acquire 3D environment information. This allows for increased accessibility and usability for the general user, and also broadened scope of development. The market research enterprise Counterpoint Research predicted that the growth of the augmented reality market will reach 70 trillion Korean Won by 2021. Application developments are also progressing. Wargaming, the developer of the global game World of Tanks, has launched an application that uses AR core at the GDC 2018. Thus, we must prepare for the impending augmented reality market and acquire top class augmented reality technology using 3D environment. This paper outlines the development of a game using AR CORE SDK to acquire 3D environment and Unity 3D game engine to combine camera images and 3D graphics, which all comes together to construct a natural augmented reality.

Multi-Marker Augmented Reality System using Marker-Based Tracking with Vuforia

  • As interest in augmented reality has increased recently, attempts have been made to incorporate augmented reality into various fields. In implementing augmented reality, the method by which markers are used is to extract feature points of markers to recognize 3D coordinates and, in some cases, it is necessary to recognize multiple markers simultaneously. Therefore, this paper proposes optimization methods for recognising multiple markers at the same time. Unity 3D and augmented reality library Vuforia are used to implement the experimental environment. The augmented reality program produced was implemented in an application form and tested using a mobile camera. We looked for optimization methods for manufacturing markers directly and for recognizing multiple markers through changes in the experimental environment. The results of the experiment can provide a higher recognition rate in an environment where multiple marker recognition is required later.

  • In this paper, the Augmented graph Es(τ) of the inverse graph Gs(τ) of a cyclic group (τ,◦) was studied. The Augmented inverse graph was constructed by applying the method of Mycielski's construction. The dimension of Augmented inverse graph and different properties of the graph were investigated. Later the chromatic number of Augmented inverse graph was discussed and the relation between the maximum degree of the graph and the chromatic number was established. In the Mycielski's construction, the properties of the key node 'u' in Es (τ) were established based on cardinality of the cyclic group (τ,◦) and also proved that the Augmented inverse graph Es(τ) was a triangle free graph.

  • This paper argues for modern technologies in the educational process. It specifically outlines issues germane to virtual and augmented reality. It begins with an account on virtual reality and augmented reality, and touches on their characteristics, the advantages, obstacles and applications. It also discusses some relevant studies that emphasized the role of virtual and augmented reality in education, the difference between two terms. The paper ends with a note of vision on how to activate them in educational institutions.

Novel Hybrid Content Synchronization Scheme for Augmented Broadcasting Services

  • As a new hybrid broadcasting service, augmented broadcasting shows enhanced broadcasting content on a large TV screen, while augmented reality (AR) on a mobile device augments additional graphical content onto an input image from the device's own camera to provide useful and convenient information for users. A one-sided broadcasting service using AR has already been attempted in virtual advertisements during sport broadcasts. However, because its augmentation is preprocessed before the video image is transmitted, the viewer at home may have no influence on this formation; and no interaction for the user is possible unless the viewer has a direct connection to the content provider. Augmented broadcasting technology enables viewers to watch mixed broadcasting content only when they want such service and to watch original broadcasting content when they do not. To realize an augmented broadcasting service, the most important issue is to resolve the hybrid content synchronization over heterogeneous broadcast and broadband networks. This paper proposes a novel hybrid content synchronization scheme for an augmented broadcasting service and presents its implementation and results in a terrestrial DTV environment.

현실과 가상환경의 인터페이스로써의 증강 책 (Augmented Book as an Interface Between Real Environment and Virtual Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 증강현실 기술을 기반으로 증강 책이라는 응용 시스템을 제안한다. 증강 책은 실물 형태의 책을 사용하여 다양한 가상객체 및 가상공간에 대한 인터페이스 기능을 제공한다. 증강 책을 통해서 사용자는 입체적인 모습을 관찰할 수 있으며 또한 조작할 수 있다 가상 객체와의 조작을 위해서 페이지마커, 제어 마커, 참조 마커의 세가지 타입의 마커를 도입하였다. 마커를 움직이면서 사용자는 가상 객체를 조작할 수 있다. 실제 책의 내용이나 상품 카탈로그 등의 다양한 입체 컨텐츠들을 증강 책으로 제공할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 증강 책은 실사 텍스쳐로 만든 포토 앨범 컨텐츠와 인테리어 컨텐츠 자동차 카탈로그 컨텐츠 등의 다양한 입체 컨텐츠의 제공에 사용될 수 있다.

  • 지난 수십 년 동안 컴퓨터와 정보기술의 발달로 가상현실 (Virtual Reality) 을 이용한 시스템이 활발히 연구되었다. 가상현실은 건설관리 영역에서도 이용되는데 건설공정을 시각화 할 수 있으며 건설 환경 및 자원을 고려한 시뮬레이션을 통해 프로젝트 및 건설관리에 많은 도움을 준다. 그러나 가상현실은 모든 것을 컴퓨터 그래픽으로 표현함으로 실재세계와 같은 현실감을 표현하는 데에는 어려움이 있다. 따라서 현실세계와 가상의 세계를 혼합하여 표현하는 Mixed Reality 가 대두되고 있으며 이 중에서도 현실세계에 무게를 둔 증강현실 (Augmented Reality) 에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구를 통해 국내 건설업계에 Augmented Reality를 소개하고자 하였으며 해외 연구사례 및 동향을 분석하여 국내 건설업에 Augmented Reality를 적용할 수 있는 방안을 모색하였다. 마지막으로 제안된 방안의 실현을 위한 지속적인 연구가 요구되는데 이를 위해 향후 연구 전략을 수립하였다.
