  • Storytelling is a communication technique to express and convey the story using various media, where the audience accepts the story, reinterprets the topic and interacts with the storyteller. It was assumed that the user's significance and awareness about the storytelling technique applied to historical theme parks would have an impact on the satisfaction of using the theme park and intention to revisit. In this study, it was purposed to derive the structural factors of spatial storytelling in historical theme parks, and to understand the impact of user's awareness and constituent factors on user responses. Based on previous researches, the structural factors of spatial storytelling in historical theme parks were derived related to theme, experientiality, unusualness, educationalness, unity, expressiveness, interactivity, and interest, and for which the users' awareness was surveyed. The survey was conducted targeting the users of Samguk Yusa Theme Park located in Gunwi-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, where the collected data was analyzed using EXCEL2020 and SPSS 21.0 statistical programs, and the results are as follows: First, the spatial storytelling technique applied as a conveying method of the theme of Samguk Yusa Theme Park affects users' satisfaction and intention to revisit, and most respondents responded that the storytelling was significant. Second, it showed that the significance of unusualness and educationalness among the awareness of significance of the spatial storytelling constituent factors of Samguk Yusa Theme Park has a significant impact on user's satisfaction, and the significance of unusualness, interactivity, educationalness, and interest has a significant impact on intention to revisit. Third, it showed that the awareness of interest, theme, and unity has a significant impact on user's satisfaction depending on the user's awareness of spatial storytelling constituent factors of Samguk Yusa Theme Park, and the awareness of interactivity and experientiality has a significant impact on intention to revisit. This study is meaningful in quantitative analysis and interpretation of the influence of storytelling on user's response to historical theme parks by the exploratory analysis of characteristic factors and spatial storytelling constituent factors on historical theme parks and deriving the structural factors of spatial storytelling in historical theme parks.

  • There has been a steady increase in cultural arts recently, and the need for "regional culture and arts" has been raised as local residents have been making efforts to increase income and develop local areas for regional development. Therefore, this study was intended to establish empirically the effects of local cultural and arts service quality on performance effects and customer satisfaction. Research shows that it affects economic and social and cultural effects as a service quality dimension, and performance effects affect customer satisfaction and intention to reuse them. However, research between customers and employees showed some differences. Through this research, we want to identify what important service quality factors are to satisfy the customers and employees who are watching the performance arts, understand the level of awareness of the effects of the performance, and provide an opportunity to enhance customer satisfaction with the audience and staff.

  • Usability heuristics("heuristics") are general principles for usability evaluation during user interface design. Our ultimate goal is to extend the practice of usability evaluation methods to a wider audience(e.g. user interface designers and engineers) than Human Computer Interaction(HCI) professionals. To this end, we explored the degree to which Jakob Nielsen's ten usability heuristics are understood by professors and students in design and computer engineering. None of the subjects received formal training in HCI, though some may have had an awareness of some HCI principles. The study identified easy-to-understand heuristics, examined the reasons for the ambiguities in others, and discovered differences between the responses of professors and students to the heuristics. In the course of the study, the subjects showed an increased tendency to think in terms of user-centric design. Furthermore, the findings in this study offer suggestions for improving these heuristics to resolve ambiguities and to extend their practice for user interface designers and engineers.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the metatheatricality of Harris' plays marked by the device of 'play-within-a-play' - Androcles and the Lion, Arkansaw Bear, and Punch and Judy. In his metatheatrical plays Harris shows that characters perform for themselves and others. The framework that inner performance is going on within the outer frame play is formed on the stage, and this device reminds the audience in the seats that they are representing reality but that they are only in the middle of performing on the stage. Based on this point of view, this study explores fictionality of character, and play. In Androcles and the Lion, the most-performed children's play in America, the metatheatrical elements are shown in the style of commedia dell'arte, which attacks the rigidity of characters' identity in the Roman society. Another well-known children's play, Arkansaw Bear consists of realistic frame play and fantastic inner play in the mind of a girl, both of which function as a mirror each other and help to sustain aesthetic distance to death and reality on the stage. In Punch and Judy, the structure of frame play and inner puppet play reminds that what's going on in the play is just a fictional play and reflects history of children's puppet show. Harris' unique metatheatricality, the heightened awareness of his own artistic medium, offers children educational opportunity to learn about how a play is performed on the stage and contributes to convey mature theme through children's imaginary participation in the process of playmaking on the stage.

  • In order to examine the television(TV)'s role of nutrition education and the nutritional interests and problems of the general public in the 1990s, a comtents analysis was done on two nutrition-related TV programs, a regular round-table talk show and a newscast. Broadcast from January 1993 to July 1997 and from January 1997 to July f1997, respectively. Nutrition-related information was classified into five categories. Food and nutrient(39.5%) and diseases(34.7%) were most frequently telecasted, which were followed by food habits and general health(13.0%), traditional dishes and cookery(8.2%), and food sanitation and safety(4.6%). In becoming the latest year, some trends in the issues displayed increased telecasts about disease, dish and cookery, and food safety, while the telecasting of food and nutrient decreased. The contents about the relations hip between life-style(including diet) and chronic degenerative diseases and the importance of balanced diets and regualr meals for health promotion became particularly emphasized. Overall, two TV programs provided the public with positive, practical, and sometimes practive nutrition education messages for improving eating life and health care. They also raised the public's awareness of the nutritional importance of Korean staple foods such as rice, kimchi, seaweed, and soysauce, and they sometimes satified the audience's curiosities by introducing Korean food culture or foods of Buddhist priests. When the accident of food toxicity occurred concrete information about how to manage it was rapidly given to the public. In addition they played a role in food balance policy by telecasting over-product foods such as garlic and onion. However some negative points appeared. Telecasts on milk and its products and diabetes mellitus showed the least frequently. These shows should be broadcast more often considering the present nutrition and health problems in Korea. Some functions or effects of foods were mostly explained by only physicians of Chinese medicine. Sometimes misinformed, unclear, overemphasized, biased, or unfair information was televised to the public. If these problems could be solved through the sincere cooperation between nutrition faculty and TV produces, become televison could a more complete and effective medium for educating the public about nutrition.

  • 4D film is just a film that made by adding some physical effects to 3D film or general film. In order to provide physical effects to the audience, the data that make the physical effect must be added to each frames. In this paper, we proposed a video detection system that can efficiently provide physical effects by assessing the present situation such as explosion scene, snowing scene. The proposed video detection system contains an algorithm for fire detection by using R color and $C_r$ value, and also an algorithm for snow detection by using RGB color model. The system constitutes in a MCU that from 8051 family. In the performance evaluations, the result shows that 91% of detection rate in case of fire and 25% of false detection rate in case of snow. Also the system is capable of providing physical effects automatically.

  • Records, especially the authentic records the nation secured, have an ontological feature of proof that is able to persuade the current present of the past present, and inherent in it is faith that originates from fundamental objectivity. Therefore the image of silence that such strictness of records creates realizes the detonation of specific memories through the act of visual exhibition. This research started from the notion that records achieve social vitality and return through its exhibition, as well as the critical awareness that it 're-mediate' the past and memory through interactions with image. The reason for viewing the archival exhibition as the subject of user analyzation is that in the process where exhibition sorts and arranges records, it is the tool and mediation that most distinctly exposes the identity of the archives. Hence, this research first analyzes national archives, particularly the exhibition of "presidential" records, which is in the center of memory conflict, in the viewpoint of the cultural practice of memory. Afterwards, it discusses empirical research and results on how users accept and resist the meaning of the exhibition through actual surveys of users after their viewing of an exhibition.
