  • Purpose: Korea is one of the most rapidly aging countries, accompanied by an increasing number of older adults with dementia. Certified-care-assistants are the primary care workers for these older adults. This cross-sectional descriptive study compared the factors influencing care behaviors among Korean and non-Korean certified-care-assistants in Korea. Methods: Participants, 113 Korean certified-care-assistants and 71 non-Korean certified-care-assistants, completed a survey questionnaire. The questionnaire was designed to assess dementia knowledge, attitude and care behaviors toward older adults with dementia. To determine the differences in these two groups, t-test was used. A stepwise multiple regression was performed to identify factors related to care behavior. Results: Significant differences in dementia knowledge, attitude and care behavior toward older adults with dementia emerged between Korean and non-Korean certified-care-assistants. Factors influencing care behavior varied by group. Dementia knowledge and education level were the significant factors of care behaviors in Korean certified-care-assistants, whereas attitude toward older adults with dementia was the significant factor in non-Korean certified-care-assistants. Conclusion: Findings indicate that different factors influence the care behavior of two groups. These findings can be utilized to develop certified-care-assistants' training curriculum that needs to be tailored by nationality to improve the quality of care for older adults with dementia.

On-line survey data was collected from a total of 530 consumers who have used or purchased scented textile products. In results, gender differences were found in the multigroup analysis using Structural Equation Modeling. In the model of females, pleasantness, stimulating, familiarity and congruency of scent affected attitude toward scented textile products while pleasantness was only a factor influencing attitude toward scented textile products in the model of males. In addition, pleasantness was the most important factor for Two genders although males indicated a higher level of buying intention toward scented textile products.

  • Purpose: As an environmental concern increases, customers pay more attention to purchase organic food. While customers' purchase intention of organic food has been widely studied, there are lacks of researches regarding the moderation effect of environmental concern and the interactive effect of level of education based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). This study examines the influence of level of education and environmental concern on purchase intention based on the Theory of Planned Behavior and organic food in Vietnam. Research design, data and methodology: The methodology of mixed methods of qualitative and quantitative is applied with a survey of 420 customers being conducted to collect data from three biggest cities in Vietnam: Ho Chi Minh, DaNang and Hanoi. SPSS 23 and SMART-PLS 3.2 are used for data analysis. Results: The result shows that the customers have more environmental concern which increases their attitude to the intention of purchasing organic food. Moreover, there has not the three-way interactive effect of level of education, environmental concern and attitude on purchase intention toward organic food. Conclusions: This enriches the existing literature with the moderation of environmental concern to the relationship between attitude and purchase intention toward organic food in Vietnam based on the Theory of Planned Behavior.

  • Purpose : This study aimed to identify factors influencing clinical nurses' intention to report medication administration errors. Methods : This cross-sectional study collected data from 121 nurses in charge of administering medication at a university hospital in Korea using structured questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression. Results : Participants' mean age was 26.90±3.99 years, and 89.3% were women. Their mean clinical career duration was 3.88±4.26 years. The average levels of patient safety culture, attitude toward reporting medication administration errors, and intention to report medication administration errors were 7.51 out of 10, 3.36 out of 5, and 4.85 out of 6, respectively. The multiple regression analysis results indicated that the statistically significant influencing factors were patient safety culture (𝛽=.21, p =.018) and attitude toward reporting medication administration errors (𝛽=.22, p =.015). Conclusion : To improve the intention to report medication administration errors among clinical nurses, a patient safety culture must be established, along with an education provision for improving their attitudes toward reporting such administration errors.

For the educational experience of EBP, there was no statistically significant difference in all items. For the performance ability of EBP, there was a statistically significant difference in the item about the ability to understand patient's desire for treatment and treatment preference and the item about the ability to determine appropriate treatment process in cooperation with patients. Conclusions. Both two groups showed very low results in the attitude toward EBP, the educational experience of EBP, and the performance ability of EBP. • The purpose of this study is to explore the measurement of attitude towards science based on social constructivism and the application of this scale. The data were collected using questionnaires from 833 middle school students in the second grade. First, factor analysis were used to assess the construct validity of the scale of Reputation in Culture Border Crossings (R-CBC) developed by Krogh and Thomsen (2005). This finding indicated the construct validity of R-CBC scale based on social constructivism. Second, the correlation among two scales based on social constructivism and Test of Science-Related Attitudes (TOSRA) scale based on individual constructivism were investigated to examine the convergent validity and the discriminant validity. The R-CBC scale was correlated with Simpson-Troost Attitude Questionnaire (STAQ) scale but the R-CBC scale and TOSRA scale were not connected. Third, students' attitude toward science assessed by three forms of measurements were compared according to the choice of high school type. Students' attitude toward science measured by R-CBC scale and STAQ scale were different in three types of high school. This finding indicated that two scales based on social constructivism are useful measurements that can predict the choice of high school type.
