  • When the reaction wheel rotates, the disturbance occurs mainly due to the mass imbalance. It is necessary to predict the effect of disturbance on the attitude stability of the satellite. The disturbance forces and torques are identified and the attitude jitter of the satellite is analyzed depending on the configuration of the wheels. On the analysis the equation of the satellite motion is combined with the translational and rotational dynamics of the wheels. The accuracy of analysis is verified by simulation of STSAT-3 satellite.

  • A helicopter control problem has been researched with many control theory. Especially, study of the hovering flight attitude control of a helicopter has been brisked since 60s with multivariable control theory. In this paper, the modeling is interpreted through the 6-freedom equation. To getting a entire equation, species of parameters and charts are adapted. The $H_2/H_{\infty}$ controller is acquired by mixing the $H_2$ control theory and the $H_{\infty}$ control theory. The $H_2$ control theory is reasonable one to increase the performance of a plant, and the $H_{\infty}$ control theory secures the robust stability. The simulation shows that the helicopter system is being controlled while maintaining performance and robust stability against perturbation.

  • The attitude stability of a satellite in spin-stabilized injection mode which contains a liquid pool is investigated. The satellite model for investigation is a two-body system consisting of a the main body, which is symmetric and rigid, representing the spacecraft, and a spherical pendulum, representing the liquid pool. Assuming that both spacecraft and pendulum are in states of steady spin about the symmetry axis of the spacecraft, the coupled nonlinear equations of motion for the system are simplified. In this paper, by using the multiple scales method, the possible resonance conditions in terms of the system parameters are determined and the corresponding near-resonant solutions are derived.

  • The $H_{\infty}$ control theory using LMI method is applied to design an attitude controller of radial type satellite that has strongly coupled channels due to the large product of inertia. It is observed that the cross-over frequency of open-loop with $H_{\infty}$ controller is lower than that of open-loop without controller, which is not typical phenomenon in an optimal control design result: it is interpreted that due to a large product of inertia, there is certain limit in increasing agility of satellite by just tuning weighting function. ${\mu}$-analysis is performed to verify the stability and performance robustness with the assumption of +/-5% MOI variation. ${\mu}$-analysis result shows that the variation of principal MOI degrades the stability and performance robustness more than the variation of POI does.

  • The attitude motion of a spin-stabilized, upper-stage spacecraft is investigated based on a two-body model, consisting of a symmetric body, representing the spacecraft, and a spherical pendulum, representing the liquid slag pool entrapped in the aft section of the rocket motor. Exact time-varying nonlinear equations are derived and used to eliminate the drawbacks of conventional linear models. To study the stability of the spacecraft's attitude motion, both the spacecraft and pendulum are assumed to be in states of steady spin about the symmetry axis of the spacecraft and the coupled time-varying nonlinear equation of the pendulum is simplified. A quasi-stationary solution to that equation and approximate resonance conditions are determined in terms of the system parameters. The analysis shows that the pendulum is subject to a combination of parametric and external-type excitation by the main body and that energy from the excited pendulum is fed into the main body to develop the coning instability. In this paper, numerical examples are presented to explain the mechanism of the coning angle growth and how angular momenta and disturbance moments are generated.

  • The forces and moments at the aircraft c.g. have components due to aerodynamic effects and to engine thrust. For the flight stability and autopilot systems we present a attitude control method using an intelligent control algorithm Which is based on the control rules from experts knowledge concerning the motion equations and other experiences. Then a robust fuzzy controller is developed to control the flight attitude. The controller can deal with multiple inputs and outputs. We have made an aircraft model and the orientation sensor for experimental flights. The control rules based on the flight expert s experience and knowledge can be programmed by fuzzy rules, and determined control rules by experimental flight. We can be stable attitude control by fuzzy controller.

  • Relaxed Static Stability(RSS) has been applied to improve flight performance of modern version supersonic jet fighters. Flight control systems are necessary to stabilize an unstable aircraft and to provide adequate handling qualities. Also, flight control systems of modern aircraft employ many safety measure to cope with emergency situations such as a pilot unknown attitude flight conditions of an aircraft in night flight-testing. This situation is dangerous because the aircraft can lose if the pilot not take recognizance of situation. The system called the "Pilot Activated Recovery System" or PARS, provided a pilot initiated automatic maneuver capable of an aircraft recoveries in situations of unusual attitudes, speed and altitude. This paper addresses the concept of PARS with AARS(Automatic Attitude Recovery System), ATCS(Automatic Thrust Control System) and MARES(Minimum Altitude Recovery Estimation System), and this control law is designed by nonlinear control law design process based on model of supersonic jet trainer. And, this control law is verified by real-time pilot evaluation using an HQS(Handling Quality Simulator). The result of evaluation reveals that the these systems support recovery of an aircraft unusual attitude and speed, and improve a safety of an aircraft.

  • In addition to the globalization of the distribution industry and intensified competition, the importance of Private Brands has been emphasized, and thus, many studies that clarify the various preceding factors that affect PB purchase intent are being conducted. Following this trend, the purpose of this study is the following. First, the effect of distributor's corporate image on consumer behavior was verified. Second, the perceived quality difference on PB products according to consumers' job was verified. Third, satisfaction difference for PB products according to consumers' job was examined. Research results were shown as the following. First, factorial analysis, conducted to verify distributor's corporate image, gave out the result of ethicality, reliability, stability factors. Among those factors, ethicality and stability were shown to have an effect on brand attitude. However, reliability was not shown to influence PB brand attitude. Second, through the analysis to see the effect of distributor's corporate image on PB product attitude, it was verified that stability has an effect on PB product attitude but ethicality and reliability do not. Third, the analysis to verify the effect of distributor's corporate image on PB product purchase intent showed that ethicality has an effect on purchase intent, but reliability and stability do not. Fourth, housewives, the most active users of distributors, were shown the highest in the research on whether there is perceived quality difference according to consumers' job. Following the group were college students, and then office workers. Fifth, research on the level of satisfaction according to consumers' job showed that there was not a significant difference. The limitations and suggestions of this research were as the following. First, this study could go over each corporate image according to distributor type and characteristics. Due to the vast development of distribution industry, the companies can be classified according to the various types. Therefore, we propose the corporate image of each distributors to be checked, and furthermore, to verify which image of the different types of distributors has positive influence on consumer attitude. Second, PB products should have various perceived quality. However, in this research, it has not been verified which specific factors among the various perceived quality of PB products has a more meaningful influence on consumer attitude. Therefore, we also would like to propose a need for closer research on the specific factors and on which factor has a more positive influence on consumer attitude.

  • An Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)-based Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) can calculate attitude and heading information with long-term accuracy and stability by combining gyro, accelerometer, and magnetic compass signals. Motivated by this characteristic of the AHRS, this paper presents a Motion-Tracking and Localization (MTL) method for a person or walking robot using multi-AHRSs. Five AHRSs are attached to the two calves, two thighs, and waist of a person/walking robot. Joints, links, and coordinate frames are defined on the body. The outputs of the AHRSs are integrated with link data. In addition, a supporting foot is distinguished from a moving foot. With this information, the locations of the joints on the local coordinate frame are calculated. The experimental results show that the presented MTL method can track the motion of and localize a person/walking robot with long-term accuracy in an infra-less environment.
