아동기 집에 대한 장소애착 척도 개발과 타당화 연구 (Development and Validation of Place Attachment to Childhood Home Scale)

  • This study developed the Place Attachment to Childhood Home Scale and evaluated its validity and reliability. Samples consisted of 418 college students of four universities. Data were collected by questionnaire based on retrospective questions about the childhood home. Factor analysis resulted in 5 dimensions of place attachment : affection, place identity, place rootedness, playfulness, and place dependence. Especially, playfulness was a unique finding. The result of confirmatory factor analysis supported the five-factor structure. There were also significant correlations among sub-factors. The reliability of the scale appeared high (Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ = .948). Criterion-related validity was confirmed by significant correlations of the present scale with Attachment Scale to Place (Hess, 1997) and the Inventory of Parent Attachment (Armsden & Greenberg, 1987).

다문화가정 중학생 자녀의 자기효능감에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구 (Significant Variables Influencing the Self-Efficacy of Middle School Students of Multicultural Families)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the influences of parental attitude, parenting attitudes, family function and peer attachment on the self-efficacy of middle school students in multicultural families. In particular, peer attachment was used as a mediator to determine the effects of self-efficacy. 302 multicultural family adolescents who enrolled in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do middle schools were surveyed. In order to measure the variables, this study used such scales as parenting attitude scale, family function scale, peer attachment scale and self efficacy scale. The results were analyzed by the PASW 18.0 program. The findings of the study led to the following conclusions; First, it has shown that peer attachment was the only variable that had significant differences by sex in middle school students of multicultural families. Second, the most influential variables of self-efficacy of middle school students in multicultural families was peer attachment among parenting attitude, family function and peer attachment. Third, there was a mediating effect of peer attachment among parenting attitude, family function and self-efficacy for adolescents of multicultural families. The notable distinction of this study was to find that peer attachment variable is the most important factor of self-efficacy. Considering the results in this study, aggressive intervention is necessary in order to improve the self-efficacy of middle school students in multicultural families.

초등학생용 부모애착척도의 구성 (Construction of Parent attachment Scale for Children)

  • 본 연구는 Fraley, Waller 및 Brennan(2000)이 개발한 개정판 친밀관계경험 질문지(Experiences in Close Relationships -Revised: ECR-R)의 문항 제작과정을 근거로 하여 아동의 애착유형을 신뢰롭고 타당하게 측정하기 위한 아동용 부모애착척도를 구성하고 기본적인 신뢰도와 문항반응이론에 근거한 몇가지 문항특성정보를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 ECR-R의 원래 문항과 기존의 애착검사들에서 사용하고 있는 문항들을 수집하여 1차 예비문항을 도출하고, 이를 4~6학년 아동이 이해하기 쉽고 근거한 원문항의 의미와 최대한 같도록 수정하고 보완하여 2차 예비문항을 작성한 후, 초등학교 4~6학년 학생(N=576명)에게 실시하였다. 수거한 자료를 사용해서 2모수 등급반응모형을 적용하여 30문항으로 된 애착척도를 구성하였다. 그 결과 아동용 부모애착검사의 내적 합치도는 회피척도의 경우 .94~.95, 불안척도의 경우 .85~.86의 범위이었고, 검사-재검사 신뢰도는 회피척도의 경우 .71~.77, 불안척도의 경우 .53~.68의 범위이었다. 또한 문항반응이론(IRT)을 적용하여 문항변별도와 문항정보값을 살펴본 결과 문항변별도는 적절한 범위에 있었고 문항정보값 역시 높았다. 위계적 군집분석인 K-means방법을 적용한 결과 안정형, 거부형, 몰두형, 두려움형의 4범주로 분류할 수 있었다. 또한 애착유형에 따른 애착척도 점수의 평균과 표준편차를 알아보기 위해 일원분산분석(ANOVA)한 결과 회피와 불안척도는 안정형, 몰두형, 거부형, 두려움형 애착에서 모두 유의한 차이를 나타내었다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 타당도와 관련한 제한점을 논의하였다.

초등학생의 자아존중감이 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향: 또래애착의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Effects of Children's Self-Esteem on Their School Adjustment: Focusing on the Mediation of Peer Attachment)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of children's self-esteem on their school adjustment, focusing on the mediation of peer attachment. A total of 2,200 3rd grade children from the third Korea Child-Adolescent Panel Survey participated in this study. The instruments used in this study were the Self-esteem Scale, Peer Attachment Scale, and School Adjustment Scale. The collected data were analyzed by using a Student's t -test, Pearson's partial correlation, simple regression, and hierarchical multiple regression with SPSS ver. 16.0 software. The main results of this study are as follows: first, the boys had higher self-esteem, peer attachment, and school adjustment scores than the girls. Second, there was a significant positive correlation between children's self-esteem and peer attachment as well as a significant positive correlation between children's self-esteem and school adjustment. Further, there was a significant positive correlation between children's peer attachment and school adjustment. Finally, children's self-esteem exerted positive effects on their peer attachment, and children's peer attachment had a positive influence on their school adjustment. The effect of children's self-esteem on their school adjustment was partially mediated by their peer attachment. These findings provide preliminary evidence that the relationships between children's self-esteem and school adjustment may be mediated by their peer attachment.

재미 한인청소년의 집에 대한 장소애착, 문화적응 스트레스와 심리적 적응에 대한 연구 (A Study of Place Attachment to Home, Acculturative Stress, and Psychological Adjustment Among Korean Youth in the United States)

  • This study examined the relationships between place attachment to home, acculturative stress, and psychological adjustment among Korean youth in the United States. In particular, this study sought to better understand how place attachment to home and acculturation stress impacts upon youth's psychological adjustment, as measured by depression and self-esteem. The subjects consisted of 225 Korean youths (113 males and 111 females) residing in Michigan in the USA, of whom 47.6% attended middle school while 52.4% of whom attended high school. The instruments utilized were the acculturative stress scale (Sandhu and Asrabadi, 1994), the place attachment scale (Choi, Lee, & Han, 2009), Radloff's depression scale (CES-D), and Rosenberg's self-esteem scale. Hierarchical multiple regression analyses were used to assess the predictive effects of place attachment to home and acculturative stress on youth's psychological adjustment, alongside controlling demographic variables. The findings indicated that place attachment to home and acculturative stress impacted upon depression and self-esteem, as experienced by the youths examined. These results have implications for our understanding of the importance of both youths' place attachment to home and acculturative stress in the acculturation process.

부모의 학대 및 방임과 학령기 아동의 또래애착이 휴대전화 의존에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Parental Abuse and Neglect, and Children's Peer Attachment, on Mobile Phone Dependency)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of parental abuse and neglect, as well as that of children's peer attachment, on mobile phone dependency. Data were obtained from the Korean Child-Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS), and the participants were 1,892 (909 boys, 983 girls) elementary students (5th graders) who had a mobile phone. To measure the variables, this study used such scales as the parental abuse and neglect scale, peer attachment scale, and mobile phone dependency scale. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, and structural equation modeling analysis. The results of the study were as follows: First, parental abuse and neglect had direct negative effects on children's peer attachment; that is, the more parental abuse and neglect, the less children's peer attachment. Second, parental abuse and neglect had direct positive effects on mobile phone dependency; that is, the more parental abuse and neglect, the greater children's mobile phone dependency. However, children's peer attachment did not directly affect mobile phone dependency; that is, children's peer attachment did not have a mediating effect between parental abuse and neglect, and mobile phone dependency. In conclusion, parental abuse and neglect influence children's peer attachment and mobile phone dependency. Thus this study showed that parental abuse and neglect, rather than children's peer attachment, affect children's mobile phone dependency.

Effects of Massage and Attachment Promotion Program on Social Maturity, Child Autism and Attachment of Children with Autism and Their Mothers

  • Purpose: The aims of this study were to evaluate effects of massage therapy and the attachment promotion program with autistic children. Method: A quasi-experimental design was conducted with a convenience sample of 44 autistic children. The experimental group (n= 23) attended the massage therapy and the attachment promotion program for 4 months. The control group (n=21) only had the attachment promotion program. Measurements were made twice for both groups using the social maturity scale and child autism rating scale. Recording of mother-child attachment was done for 15 minutes in only the experimental group twice using video equipment. Results: After 4 months of interventions, there was significant difference on social maturity (F=9.01, p=.005) between the groups. However, there was no significant difference on CARS ((F=2.47, p=.124). The total scores of mother-child attachment between pre- and post-interventions showed a significant difference (Z=-3.42, p=.001). Conclusion: The results showed that massage therapy and the attachment promotion program might be an effective way for providing a chance to increase social maturation and to increase attachment between mother and autistic child.

부모양육태도와 자아존중감 및 또래애착이 정서문제에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Parenting Attitude, Self-esteem and Peer Attachment on Emotion Problem)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Parenting Attitude, Self-esteem, and Peer Attachment on Emotion Problem. The study is based on data from first wave of 'Korean Child Youth Panel Survey 2010(KCYPS)' and the subjects of this survey were 2,098 1st grade junior middle school students. To measure the variables, this study used such scales as the parenting attitude scale, self-esteem scale, and peer attachment scale and emotional problem scale. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation and structural equation modeling analysis. Results of structural equation modeling with data indicated that hypothesized structural equation model produced a good fit but, no direct effect between negative parenting attitude and peer attachment. The self-esteem have mediating effect between parenting attitude and peer attachment, emotion problem. The peer attachment have mediating effect between positive parenting attitude and emotion problem but, did not have mediating effect between negative parenting attitude and emotion problem. The implications for counseling and suggestions for future research are discussed.

어린시절 집에 대한 장소애착이 주거만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Place Attachment to Childhood Home to the Housing Satisfaction)

  • This study examined significant factors explaining college students' place attachment to their childhood homes, developed the scale of that, and proposed statistically significant models to explain their place attachment to those home environments. We conducted a questionnaire survey with 32 items. Responses from 358 Michigan State University students were analyzed statistically. From the explanatory and confirmatory factor analysis, 31 items under 4 valid factors named Place dependence, Affection, Rootedness, and Place identity were obtained. This study additionally adapted six types of place attachment to childhood homes from Hess (1997), and examined these types. Idealization (Type1), affection (Type3), and transcendence (Type5) were chosen most often. Finally, this study explored the relationships between housing satisfaction and (1) the four place attachment factors and (2) the six types of place attachment. Results showed the four place attachment factors were more strongly related with housing satisfaction.

초등학생의 교사애착, 또래애착, 자기격려, 진로자기효능감과 진로성숙도간의 구조적 관계 (The Structural Relationship Among Teacher Attachment, Peer Attachment, Self-encouragement, Career Self-efficacy and Career Maturity)

  • 본 연구는 초등학생의 교사애착, 또래애착, 자기격려, 진로자기효능감 그리고 진로성숙도 간의 구조적 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 충북 청주에 소재한 초등학교 6학년 학생 220명을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구를 위해서 교사애착, 또래애착, 자기격려, 진로자기효능감, 진로성숙도 검사를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료를 가지고 확인적 요인분석과 구조방정식 모형 분석을 실시하였으며 최종 모델의 적합도 지수는 CFI=.957, TLI=.951, RMSEA=.049로 나타났다. 본 연구의 주된 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사애착과 또래애착은 자기격려, 진로자기효능감, 진로성숙도에 모두 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 구조방정식 모형 분석을 실시한 결과 자기격려와 진로자기효능감은 교사애착과 또래애착의 진로성숙도 관계에서 매개효과가 있는 것을 확인하였다.
