Purpose : The purpose of the study were to describe outcomes of CHP activities, and to evaluate the economic validity of CHP through a cost-benefit analysis. Method : The sample size was 272. Data were collected using a researcher developed questionnaire from November 1999 to March, 2000. Result : The mean age of CHPs was 39.6 (SD-36). In regard to marital status, 90.8% of the respondents were married. 72% of the CHPs had associate degree. Among CHP activities, providing medical services was 50%, followed by home care visits 20% and health promotion services 20%, preventive services 10%. Total costs per month incurred to CHP activities was \3,053,437($2,442.7). Total benefits per month was \6,711,525($5,369.2). Hence, net benefit was calculated as \3,658,089($2,926). Conclusion : Cost-benefit ratio was 2.20, which provides the evidence of the economic viability of CHP program. The result of cost-benefit analysis, however, would more strongly support the economic value of CHP if intangible benefits of CHP activities such as decreases in pain and suffering and increased quality of life, could be counted.
In the associate degree curriculum of the department of mechanical engineering, the results of the study are presented on the structure and content of a subject based on the case-based learning method. As an case, equipment called a laminator that is actually used in the manufacturing site was selected. Class deals with specific engineering issues at each stage of laminator manufacturing (design-machining-assembly-measurement-maintenance) in connection with general engineering topics in prerequisites in the curriculum. Topics include tolerance fit, length measurement, assembly practice, measurement design and statistics of machine maintenance, etc. Courses that apply the case-based learning method may be included in the curriculum as complementary roles to those that apply other student-centered learning method.

As personal or compact devices with image acquisition functionality are becoming easily available for common users, the voluminous images that need to be managed by image related services or systems demand efficient and effective methods in the perspective of image identification. The objective of image identification is to associate an image with a unique identifier. Moreover, whenever an image identifier needs to be regenerated, the newly generated identifier should be consistent. In this paper, we propose three image identifier generation methods utilizing image features: linear component, luminance area, and combination of both features. The linear component based method exploits the information of distribution of partial lines over an image, while the luminance area based method utilizes the partition of an image into a number of small areas according to the same luminance degree. The third method is proposed in order to take advantage of both former methods. In this paper, we also demonstrate the experimental evaluations for uniqueness and similarity analysis that have shown favorable results.
This paper is propose for some guidelines in making curriculum for the training of archivists for Koran records. This paper pays special attention to the revival of the culture of record-keeping tradition of our owns. Without it's revival, a blind introduction of archival sciences based on Western civilizations can be ended up another version of cultural and academic imperialism as such in the field of the record-management of Korean records. Rapidly growing information and computer technology of our owns must be incorporated in the making of archivist training programs. It proposes that the opening of archival science major as a department at the graduate school level is in the long run essential, yet that of an associate master degree program can be in real an alternative. A training of archivists is not just to produce of a technician but a crafts(wo)man who would be in the vanguard of the renaissance of the record-keeping culture in Korea.
Little research on sensory study has been conducted from a marketing perspective and most of sensory studies have been done from a science perspective. Thus, this study examined wine sensory perceptions in the consumers' minds, which is how wine consumers associate grape variety Shiraz/ Syrah by the three different region of origins with specific sensory images. Total 234 questionnaires were collected from online wine community members at restaurants in Korea. The main results show that the most two shared sensory images of Shiraz/ Syrah were 'Dry' and 'Fruity' across the three region of origins. For Barossa Shiraz, the unique images were mainly found in Aroma image category such as 'Chocolate', 'Prune', whereas for Rhone Syrah, the unique images were mainly revealed in Overall image category e.g. 'Deep', 'Fascinating'. Additionally, this study confirmed that Maipo Valley is not recognizable region of origin of Shiraz/ Syrah. This study employed a free choice, Pick Any and conducted correspondence analysis to find out the degree of associations of sensory images and each region of origin.

This research defines the degree of the threat caused by the leakage of personal information in a quantitative way. The proposed definition classifies the individual items in a personal data, then assigns a risk value to each item. The proposed method considers the increase of the risk by the composition of the multiple items. We also deals with various attack scenarios, where the attackers seek different types of personal information. The concept of entropy applies to associate the degree of the personal information exposed with the total risk value. In our experiment, we measured the risk value of the Facebook users with their public profiles. The result of the experiment demonstrates that they are most vulnerable against stalker attacks among four possible attacks with the personal information.
The study aims to design and suggest criteria of the academic credit approval for those who obtain diverse qualifications. In order to achieve the objectives of this research, a Delphi survey was conducted. Consequently this study suggests the following, based on the argument that existing credit approval system covering all qualifications requires improvement especially due to limited function and efficiency. First, most respondents who took part in the management of academic credit bank system in the Korea Educational Development Institute stated that the current system is of limitation. Out of the all items, one was indicated as one not directly related the majoring area for the degree, three items were indicated as approved in the bachelor degree and two items were as approved in the associate degree. Second, occupational area for approving qualification items should be classified according to the KRIVET classification structure for national qualification.
Objectives : The purpose of the study is to investigate the education, certification system, and extent of duty of dental hygienist between Korea and five developed countries including United States, Canada, England, Australia, and Japan. Background: With the development of the information technology industry and the increasing importance of health information, there is a need to analyze the current certification system for health information management education. This study compared and analyzed the health information management education accreditation system between the Republic of Korea and the United States. Methods: Descriptive analysis and quantitative methodologies were used to compare the education accreditation system and understand the current status of health information management curriculum run by universities in the Republic of Korea and the United States. Results: Regardless of the academic year, the Republic of Korea had one certification system based on subject-based criteria. However, the United States had a certification system for associate, baccalaureate, and master's degree programs with competency-based criteria. The accreditation system was different in terms of the way the curriculum is certified and the options for the different levels of university degree programs. Conclusion: Accordingly, it is necessary to consider improving the quality of health information management personnel at different levels by improving the current accreditation system and differentiating the curriculum according to the degree program levels in the Republic of Korea.
This paper aims to comprehend the career plan and job view of the students of Dept. of Dental Hygiene who are expected to graduate with a bachelor of science degree, explain the characteristics of their jobs after graduation, compare them with the graduates of associate of science degree and finally give a basic data necessary for developing careers in the future. From the survey of 184 would-be graduates of Departments of Dental Hygiene at 6 universities that produce dental hygiene graduates in 2011 and 251 would-be graduates with a A.S. degree of Dept. of Dental Hygiene, whose course takes 3 years, this paper reaches the conclusion below. More graduates with B.S. degree in dental hygiene than those with a A.S. degree want to attend graduate school after graduation. It is found that most of the graduates with B.S. degree in dental hygiene wanted to work as a dental hygienist until they reach retirement age after getting a job. They favor dental hospitals, which give them a higher salary and ensure them of retirement age. They have a lower-esteemed job view: they think that their jobs are socially lower regarded, compared with graduates with a A.S. degree. It is found that those who wish to attend graduate school have lower job satisfaction than those who want to get a job after graduation. It is necessary for the educational institutes of dental hygiene to teach their graduates have a positive attitude their job and for the association to make an active effort to increase the job satisfaction of dental hygiene students as well as dental hygienists by enhancing social recognition of a dental hygiene.
