Internet of Things (IoT) is an environment where various devices are connected to each other via a wired/wireless network and where the devices gather, process, exchange, and share information. Some of the most important types of IoT devices are mobile IoT devices such as smartphones. These devices provide various high-performance services to users but cannot be supplied with power all the time; therefore, power management appropriate to a given IoT environment is necessary. Power management of mobile IoT devices involves complex relationships between various entities such as application processors (APs), HW modules inside/outside AP, Operating System (OS), platforms, and applications; a method is therefore needed to systematically analyze and manage these relationships. In addition, variabilities related to power management such as various policies, operational environments, and algorithms need to be analyzed and applied to power management development. In this paper, engineering principles and a method based on them are presented in order to address these challenges and support systematic development of IoT device power management. Power management of connected helmet systems was used to validate the feasibility of the proposed method.
Purpose: This study examines the opportunism moderating effect by the startup experience in the relationship between franchisor and franchisees. In the case of a franchise system that has a continuous relational exchange transaction, relationship management is a very important activity because the relationship management between franchisor and franchisees improves the quality of the relationship. Nevertheless, there is insufficient of research on opportunism, which is a negative factor in managing the relationship between franchisor and franchisees in continuous relationship. Research design, data and methodology: This study, we explore the cause of opportunism based on transaction cost theory through prior research and establish a research model based by goal incongruity, uncertainty, information asymmetry, transaction specific assets, the relevance to determinant of opportunism and the startup experienced which is a moderating variable. To verify several hypotheses, the data were collected from 300 out of 1,760 domestic franchisees and analyzed using multiple regression analysis with SPSS program. Results: The findings are as follows. Goal incongruity did not affect opportunism. Opportunism increased as uncertainty increased, and as information asymmetry increased, opportunism increased. An opportunism decreased as transaction specific assets increased. Moreover, the findings show that startup experience only plays a moderating role in the relationship between information asymmetry and opportunism. Therefore, 4 out of 8 hypotheses were supported. Conclusions: The findings show that uncertainty, information asymmetry, and transaction specific assets are the determinants of opportunism. In addition, the results of the analysis of the moderating role of startup experience show that the less entrepreneurial experience, the greater the influence of information asymmetry on opportunism. Our findings mean that maintaining a successful relationship between franchisors and franchisees is possible when franchisors provide knowledge sharing, goal sharing, environmental sharing, and management information sharing to franchisees. In addition, the findings of this study shows that the contract content and management should be changed according to the entrepreneurial experience. In other words, the franchisors must share and integrate the accumulated franchisees' and franchisors' experience with the franchisees to create a synergy that can lead to successful bilateral relationship maintenance, which in turn reduces opportunism.

This study, centered on public institutions that introduced and are using Knowledge Management System(KMS), is a study of affecting influence factors for utilization and satisfaction. In case of public institutions, they introduced in earnest knowledge management system starting second half of 1999 and most branches of the government such as Department of Defence, Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs and Ministry of Planning and Budget have laid the foundation and been managing the system. As a result understanding convenience and need of knowledge management system and awareness for importance of knowledge asset are proliferating. But there is a lot of difference in utilization of KMS by work unit and also can find that the difference exists among users in terms of satisfaction. This is expected as having influence from chief officer's concern, support of exclusively responsible personnel factor, whether education training was given, KM process support etc. for KMS. Therefore this study draws subordinate factors of organization characteristic, knowledge information characteristic, strategy characteristic as influence factors to KMS and analyzes how these subordinate factors influence utilization and satisfaction of KMS to suggest a way to catalyze knowledge management system in the future.
Small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) have limited human and material resources than large firms. SMEs are characterized by high risk and dynamic working environments. Thus human resources having knowledge and technologies are very important factor for survival and performance in SMEs. Recently, as core employee group is a key asset to firm competitiveness, many SMEs attend to set up core employee policy and system. The purposes of this research are to examine the effect of core employee policy and core employee management system on competitiveness of human resource and organizational commitment in SMEs. The major findings of the research are core employee policy have non-significant influence core employee management system, core employee policy have positive influence competitiveness of human resource, core employee management system have non-significant influence competitiveness of human resource, and competitiveness of human resource have positive influence organizational commitment in SMEs.
The main purpose of this study is to analyze and examine the problems of the law systems of the safety and maintenance of nuclear facilities and to propose the improvements with respect to the related problems especialy focused on safety management of aquatic products. Therefore, the results of the paper would be helpful to build an effective management law system of safety and maintenance of nuclear facilities and fisheries products. The research methods are longitudinal and horizontal studies. This study compares domestic policies with foreign policies of nuclear plants and aquatic products. Using the above methods, examining the current system of nuclear-related laws and regulations, we have found that there exist 13 Acts including "Nuclear Safety Act", etc. Safety laws related on nuclear facilities have seven Acts including "Nuclear Safety Act", "the Act on Physical Protection and Radiological Emergency", "Radioactive waste control Act", "Act on Protective Action Guidelines against Radiation in the Natural Environment", "Special Act on Assistance to the locations of facilities for disposal low and intermediate level radioactive waste", "Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety Act". "Act on Establishment and Operation of the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission". The seven laws are composed of 119 legislations. They have 112 lower statute of eight Presidential Decrees, six Primeministrial Decrees and Ministrial Decrees, 92 administrative rules (orders), 6 legislations of local self-government aself-governing body. The concluded proposals of this paper are as follows. Firstly, we propose that the relationship between the special law and general law should be re-established. Secondly, the terms with respect to law system of safety and maintenance of nuclear plants should be redefined and specified. Thirdly, it is advisable to re-examine and re-establish the Law System for Safety and Maintenance of Nuclear Facilities. and environmental rights like the French Nuclear Safety Legislation. Lastly, inadequate legislation on the aquatic pollution damage should be re-established. It is necessary to ensure sufficient transparency as well as environmental considerations in the policy decisions of the Korean government and legislation of the National Assembly. It is necessary to further study the possibilities of accepting the implications of the French legal system as a legal system in Korea. In conclusion, the safety management of nuclear facilities is not only focused on the secondary industry and the tertiary industry centering on power generation and supply, but also on the primary industry, which is the food of the people. It is necessary to prevent damage to be foreseen. Therefore, it is judged that there should be no harm to the people caused by contaminated marine products even if the "Food Safety Law for Prevention of Radiation Pollution Damage" is enacted.
PURPOSES : This study aims at proposing the methodology for benefit evaluations in pavement maintenance methods and timings using KoPMS(Korean Pavement Management System) software which was developed for efficient pavement management. METHODS : This study classified pavement sections into 4 clusters considering AADT(Annual Average Daily Traffic) and ESAL(Equivalent Single-Axle Load) using cluster analysis and used the deterioration models in each cluster. Increased user costs due to pavement deterioration as time goes by and agent costs for maintenance were estimated. Based on deterioration model and KoPMS software, Methodology for benefit evaluation was proposed in pavement maintenance methods and with/without implementation using real pavement section data. RESULTS : This study verified that considering agent costs only would be constrained to decide pavement maintenance methods and timings, and ascertained that decision making with agent and user costs would be effective. In addition, this study revealed that pavement maintenance methods and timings can be affected by AADT and ESAL and frequent pavement maintenances can be more efficient for benefits in pavement sections with more AADT and ESAL. Also this study found that user costs would be more affected to decision making than agent costs. Moreover, Delay of conducting pavement maintenance caused increased vehicle operating costs and environmental costs because of poor conditions of pavements. CONCLUSIONS : This study proposed LCCA and benefit estimation methodology of pavement with considering agent and user costs. The results of this study can be used for baseline data of efficient pavement asset management.
A water treatment utility in South Korea operates a large system of pressurized hollow fiber membrane (PHFM) modules. The optimal selection of membrane module for the full scale plant was critical issue and carried out using Risk-based Life Cycle Cost (RbLCC) analysis based on the historical data of operation and maintenance. The RbLCC analysis was used in the process of decision-making for replacing aged modules. The initial purchasing cost and the value at risk during operation were considered together. The failure of modules occurs stochastically depending on the physical deterioration with usage over time. The life span of module was used as a factor for the failure of Poisson's probability model, which was used to obtain the probability of failure during the operation. The RbLCC was calculated by combining the initial cost and the value at risk without its warranty term. Additionally, the properties of membrane were considered to select the optimum product. Results showed that the module's life span in the system was ten years (120 month) with safety factor. The optimum product was selected from six candidates membrane for a full scale water treatment facility. This method could be used to make the optimum and rational decision for the operation of membrane water purification facility.

It is rapidly expanding to provide Home Digital Service based on the Home Network System in intelligent apartment. Fortunately, Korea has one of the highest rates of Internet penetration and access in the world. Construction companies used the Home Network system as a strategy of differentiation and it is available to the customers to raise their asset value. Besides, the government has a positive response to accept the new movements to make the digital environment with 'u-Korea (Ubiquitous Korea)' as the slogan. However, the level of providing Home Digital Service is actually at the beginning. The develop the home network industry more effectively, the related industries' cooperation is essential. The purpose of this study is to propose a providing model of Home Network System for the construction company and to make a method to response the fast change of technology development and customer's request at the point of construction companies' view.

Local government needs to an official document to conserve and manage its assets under the control of it by performing public duties. The central government adopted double entry bookkeeping in January of 2007 is demanding that local government should make reports of asset management that are related to assets and debts by using double entry bookkeeping. It is also imperative to assess assets of local government's public facilities in order to adopt double entry bookkeeping. But it is hard to exactly inspect some facilities that are constructed underground. In case of Geoje City, this study also found out that $70{\sim}80%$ of the clauses about facilities such as road and water supply in GIS database can be applied fur assessing assets by double entry bookkeeping. Due to the weak connection between double entry bookkeeping and GIS database, local governments have to make more study in order to practically use double entry bookkeeping system.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is indispensable for companies in recent business environment, in which the customers are recognized as more valuable asset to increase the earning power of enterprise. For gaining competitive advantage, most companies want to maintain existing customer relationships and generate more profits with customers through long-term relationships. In this study, we developed the models which are designed to select CRM systems in financial institution, which is one of competitive sectors and undergoes rapid changes due to M&A(Merger and acquisition), innovation and reengineering in Korea. The selection model of CRM systems for financial institution was developed utilizing the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the expert's knowledge were built up of three groups; researcher group, developer group, and user group. We found that there are significant deferences for the weights of criteria in our selection model according to the kind of experts. This study provides helpful guidance on how to assign appropriate weights to each criteria in selection models when financial institution introduce the CRM systems.
