NimbleGen has developed strategies to use its high-density oligonucleotide microarray platform (385,000 probes per array) to map both promoter binding sites and copy number variation at very high-resolution in the human genome. Here we describe a genome-wide map of active promoters determined by experimentally locating the sites of transcription imitation complex binding throughout the human genome using microarrays combined with chromatin immunoprecipitation. This map defines 10,567 active promoters corresponding to 6,763 known genes and at least 1,196 un-annotated transcriptional units. Microarray-based comparative genomic hybridisation (CGH) is animportant research tool for investigating chromosomal aberrations frequently associated with complex diseases such as cancer, neuropsychiatric disorders, and congenital developmental disorders. NimbleGen array CGH is an ultra-high resolution (0.5-50 Kb) oligo array platform that can be used to detect amplifications and deletions and map the associated breakpoints on the whole-genome level or with custom fine-tiling arrays. For whole-genome array CGH, probes are tiled through genic and intergenic regions with a median probe spacing of 6 Kb, which provides a comprehensive, unbiased analysis of the genome.

This paper describes the construction of a static 3D ultrasonography image by tracking the radiation beam position during the handy operation of a 1D array probe to enable point-of-care use. The theoretical model of the transformation from the translational and rotational information of the sensor mounted on the probe to the reference Cartesian coordinate system was given. The signal amplification and serial communication interface module was made using a commercially available sensor. A test phantom was also made using silicone putty in a donut shape. During the movement of the hand-held probe, B-mode movie and sensor signals were recorded. B-mode images were periodically selected from the movie, and the gray levels of the pixels for each image were converted to the gray levels of 3D voxels. 3D and 2D images of arbitrary cross-section of the B-mode type were also constructed from the voxel data, and agreed well with the shape of the test phantom.

In this paper, the high Gain and the wideband microstrip patch antenna, which is applicable to 5 GHz band wireless LAN, is designed and fabricated. Firstly to widen the bandwidth of microstrip antenna, U-Slot in rectangular form patch is inserted and used the microstrip line-Coaxial probe feeding method. Secondly, the antenna gain is improved to be embodied in $2{\times}2$ array form. As a result, in this paper, is designed and fabricated 5 GHz Band wideband U-Slot $2{\times}2$ array patch antenna using microstrip line-coaxial probe feeder. The U-Slot $2{\times}2$ array patch antenna were fabricated on the PEC using press-technique that is based on the simulation results. And the Anritsu 37169A vector network analyzer has been used in measurement of a prototype antenna. As a result, it was measured that the superior characteristic of wideband showing approximately 1 GHz ($5.110 GHz{\sim} 6.142 GHz$) of input return loss (VSWR < 2) in resonant frequency of 5 GHz band. And the antenna gain is 13 dBi, in both the E-plane and H-plane measured at 5.15 GHz, 5.35 GHz, 5.50 GHz, and 5.87 GHz.
Probe card is a test component which is to classify the known good die with electrical contact before the packaging in the ATE (automatic testing equipment). Conventional probe tip was mostly needle type, it has been difficult to meet with conventional type, because of decreasing chip size, pad to pad pitch and pads size increasingly. For that reason, probe cards using MEMS (micro electro mechanical system) technology have been developed for various semiconductor chips. In this paper, Area Array type MEMS Probe tip was designed,, fabricated, and characterized its mechanical and electrical properties. The authors found that good electrical characteristics under $1{\Omega}$ were acquired with gold (Au) and aluminium (Al) pad contact test over 0.5gf and 4gf respectively. And, contact resistance variation under $0.1{\Omega}$ were achieved with 100,000 times of repetition test. And, insertion loss (IS) for high frequency operation was ascertained over 300MHz at -3dB loss.

Purpose: There is no established inspection system for composite wind blade during the fabrication stage even though the blades are one of the most important part at wind generation system, but phased array ultrasonic testing method has been continuously studied about wind turbine blade with composite. When wind turbine blade with complex shape by phased array probe is inspected, it is necessary to study for system keeping constant pressure using pressure device. Methods: In this paper, we propose constant pressure device for inspecting wind turbine blade by phased array ultrasonic test method. Design of the device controller is based on Hunt-Crossley model. We evaluate reliability of phased array ultrasonic inspection result that applicated constant pressure device. Result: Defect indication is precise and its error is small when constant pressure mechanism based on Hunt-Crossley model was used. Conclusion: When inspection is progressed using constant pressure mechanism, the reliability of composite wind blade inspection can be improved.
We characterized nanoelectrode arrays prepared from self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) by adsorption from a solution containing thiolated $\beta$-cyclodextrin ($\beta$-CD) and n-alkanethiol on the gold electrode surface, using electrochemical methods. While the framework, the n-hexadecanethiol SAM, effectively blocked electron transfer between the electrode surface and solution-phase redox probe molecules, the $\beta$-CD cavities isolated in the forests of n-hexadecanethiol molecules were shown to act as an ultramicroelectrode array. The shapes of cyclic voltammograms of probe molecules were related to the number densities of $\beta$-CD molecules within the monolayer films. Probe molecules that have the correct combination of physical and chemical characteristics were shown to effectively penetrate the framework through the $\beta$-CD pores and exchange electrons with the electrode surface.
We have developed a cost effective test socket for ball grid array(BGA) integrated circuit(IC) packages using BeCu metal sheet as a test probe. The BeCu furnishes the best combination of electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. The probe of the test socket was designed with a BeCu cantilever. The cantilever was designed with a length of 450 ${\mu}m$, a width of 200 ${\mu}m$, a thickness of 10 ${\mu}m$, and a pitch of 650 ${\mu}m$ for $11{\times}11$ BGA. The fabrication of the test socket used techniques such as through-silicon-via filling, bonding silicon wafer and BeCu metal sheet with dry film resist(DFR). The test socket is applicable for BGA IC chip.

Dosimetry of radiating electromagnetic wave from mobile devices to human body has been evaluated by measuring Specific Absorption Rate (SAR). Usual SAR measurement system scans the volume by robot arm to evaluate RF power absorption to human body from wireless devices. It is possible to fast estimate the volume SAR by software deleting robot moving time with the 2D surface SAR data acquired by arrayed probes. This paper shows the principle of fast SAR measurement and the measured data comparison between the fast SAR system and the robot scanning system. Data of the fast SAR is well corresponding with data of robot scanning SAR within ${\pm}3$ dB, and its dynamic range covers from 10 mW/kg to 30 W/kg with 4.8 mm probe diameter.
‘바이오칩(biochip)’ 이란 컴퓨터 칩(computer chip)에서 유래되어 바이오(bio)와 관련된 어떤 집적회로의 요소와 관련된 용어로 지칭되어 왔으나, 최근 몇년 동안 기술개발이 구체으로 이루어 지면서, DNA를 포함한 생체분자(biomolecule)에 대하여 생화학적 분석에 사용되는 프로브(probe)를 정렬(array)시킨 물질 및 장치라고 정의되고있다.(중략)
