이어도 종합해양과학기지의 복사관측소 환경 개선 및 국제화 추진 전략 (A Strategy for Environmental Improvement and Internationalization of the IEODO Ocean Research Station's Radiation Observatory)

  • 정확한 복사 관측자료는 기후 및 날씨뿐만 아니라 해양과 건축 및 농 축산 분야 등 중요하게 활용된다. 특히 이어도와 같은 종합 해양과학기지는 주변 환경에 의한 복사 반사 효과를 최소화할 수 있기 때문에 이상적인 관측소로 평가되며 여기서 생산되는 자료는 복사관측의 기준 자료가 될 수 있다. 또한 BSRN (Baseline Surface Radiation Network) 등 세계복사관측그룹 가입을 위한 필수 장비들(전천과 직달 및 산란 일사계 등)을 갖추고 관측소 환경을 개선할 경우 전 세계적인 중요 관측소로 부각될 수 있는 여건을 갖추고 있다. 이어도 종합해양과학기지는 2004년 11월부터 일사계 관측을 수행해 왔고 이 연구에서는 2005년 1월 1일부터 2015년 12월 31일까지의 자료를 분석하였다. 이 연구 기간에 이어도의 일평균 일사량은 $-3.80W/m^2/year$로 감소하였고 그 이유는 자연적 원인 이외에 관측장비의 센서 반응도 감소 효과가 포함되어 있기 때문이다. 즉 이어도 종합해양과학기지의 경우 정밀한 복사 관측 자료를 생산하기 위해서는 관측소 환경 개선뿐만 아니라 관측장비 및 자료 보정이 요구된다. 그리고 한반도의 대기 청정도와 국민 건강을 크게 위협하고 있는 중국발 황사와 미세 먼지는 전 세계 과학자들의 중요 관심 대상이기 때문에 이어도뿐만 아니라 신안 가거초 및 옹진 소청초 종합해양과학기지 복사 관측자료를 통한 공동 대응 근거 마련이 필요하며 그에 따라 이들 복사관측소 환경 및 장비 개선 그리고 관측자료 정확성 향상 계획 수립이 시급하다.

역전파 신경망 모델을 이용한 기준 작물 증발산량 산정 (Estimation of Reference Crop Evapotranspiration Using Backpropagation Neural Network Model)

  • 작물 증발산량은 수자원 계획 및 관리, 물수지 분석, 작물 관개 계획 및 생산량 추정 등에 널리 활용되고 있으며, 특히 FAO에서 공인한 Penman-Monteith식 (FAO 56-PM)은 잠재 증발산량 산정을 위한 표준방법으로 많이 사용되고 있다. Penman-Monteith식을 이용한 잠재증발산량 산정은 최소온도, 평균온도, 최대온도, 상대습도, 풍속과 일사량인 6가지 항목에 대한 시계열 자료가 필요한데, 결측 또는 미계측된 경우에는 사용이 어려운 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 역전파 신경망(BPNN) 모델을 이용해서 6개 미만의 기상항목으로도 잠재증발산량이 추정가능한지를 확인하였다. 여섯 가지 기상항목을 각각 1~6개의 조합으로 입력자료를 구성하고, BPNN 모델을 이용해서 학습, 검증 및 테스트를 한 결과, 입력 자료가 많아질수록 좋은 결과가 산출되었으며, 일사량, 최대온도와 상대습도만으로도 결정계수($R^2$)가 0.94정도로 비교적 높은 예측결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 산정 오차를 줄이고, 항목간의 상관관계를 높이기 위해서는 역전파 신경망 구조의 적절한 선택이 중요한 것으로 확인되었다. 역전파 신경망 모델을 사용하면 요구되는 기상 항목과 데이터의 양에 대한 제약 없이 예측이 가능할 수 있기 때문에 기준 증발산량 산정에 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것이며 향후 작물 재배를 위한 적정 관개계획 수립에도 유용하게 사용될 것이라 사료된다.

생태복원 식물종 사용 실태에 관한 연구 - 생태계보전협력금 반환사업을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Current Status of Ecological Restoration Plant Species Use - Focusing on the Ecosystem Conservation Cooperation Fund Return Projects -)

  • 이 연구는 생태복원을 하는 데 있어서 식물종을 사용하는 현황을 파악하는 것이 주된 목적이다. 이를 위해서 최근 6년간 수행된 생태계보전협력금 반환사업 58개소에 대한 식재 도면을 수집하여 분석하였다. 식재한 식물의 분석은 준공 및 설계도면을 이용하여 전체 선정 현황과 함께 성상별, 규격별, 식생 기후대별, 육상 및 습지의 서식처별, 자생식물과 재배식물로 구분하여 빈도분석을 하였다. 조사 및 분석 과정에서 식물 이름이 잘못된 경우가 많아서 이에 대한 분석도 함께 실시하였다. 58개 대상지에서 식재에 사용한 식물은 282 분류군이었으며, 교목류는 91종, 관목류는 69종, 만경목 11종, 초본류는 111종으로 나타났다. 전체적으로 가장 많이 사용한 식물종은 조팝나무, 팥배나무, 상수리나무, 잔디, 좀작살나무와 병꽃나무 순으로 나타났다. 교목 중에서는 팥배나무, 상수리나무, 이팝나무, 느티나무, 산수유 순이었으며, 관목류는 조팝나무, 병꽃나무, 좀작살나무, 산철쭉, 화살나무 순이었다. 초본류는 잔디, 구절초, 벌개미취, 물억새, 수크령 순이었다. 식생기후대별 분석에서는 온대중부산림대와 난대수림대 모두에서 조팝나무, 좀작살나무 순으로 많이 사용되었는데, 이러한 패턴은 기후대별 특성을 반영하지 못한 것으로 판단하였다. 서식처별 분석 결과, 습지에서는 물억새와 털부처꽃이 가장 많이 사용되었다. 특히 자생식물과 재배식물의 선정 비율이 76% 대 24%로 재배식물의 선정 비율도 높게 나타났다. 또한 도면에 적시된 식물명은 국가표준식물목록 및 국가생물종목록에 나타나지 않는 보통명을 많이 사용하고 있었는데, 앞으로 식물명에 대한 올바른 사용이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 앞으로 생태복원을 위한 식재 식물의 사용과 관련해서는 선정 식물의 다양화와 함께 기후대의 특성을 고려한 식물 선정, 생태복원에 사용하는 식물 규격을 낮추는 접근 방법이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 습지식물의 경우에는 생태적 특성을 충분히 이해한 접근이 중요했고, 자생식물 중심의 식물 선정을 위해 재배식물 사용 비율을 최소화하는 것들이 필요한 과제로 나타났다.

석조문화재 복원을 위한 금속보강재 매입방법 표준화 연구 (A Study on the Guidelines on the Insertion of Metal Stiffeners in the Restoration of Stone Cultural Heritages)

  • 파손된 석조문화재를 재사용하기 위한 방법으로 금속보강재를 사용하게 되는데 현재까지 보강재에 대한 보존처리 지침 없이 처리자의 경험에 의해서 이루어지다 보니 여러 가지 문제점이 도출되고 있다. 따라서 2차적인 원부재의 훼손을 최소화하기 위한 금속봉의 구조적 보강방법과 거동 특성 등을 제안된 실험체를 통해 검증 받아 금속보강재 매입방법에 관한 설계기준을 마련하고자 하였다. 절단면에 에폭시수지 접합만 할 경우 원 모재 물성의 70% 정도밖에 회복되지 않아 30%에 대한 금속보강재의 구조적 보강이 필요하다. 금속봉은 석재 취성파괴 후 구조적 거동을 받는데 금속보강재비가 0.251% 이하로 설계되면 구조적 거동은 발생하지 않으며, 0.5% 이상이면 구조적 보강은 이루어지나 모재의 2차 훼손을 유발시킨다. 따라서 $1,500kgf/cm^2$ 강도를 갖는 석재의 적정 금속보강재비는 접착단면적의 0.283~0.377% 정도로 설계되어야 가역성 있는 파손과 보강재의 연성거동이 이루어진다. 또한 휨 하중에 대응되는 금속봉의 최대 응력을 기대하기 위해서는 보강재 간격을 멀리하는 것보다 가깝게 유지하는 것이 효율적이며, 특히 상부에 보강재를 매입하는 것은 구조적으로 아무런 도움이 되지 못하고 오히려 원부재의 손상만 유발한다. 따라서 보강재는 하부에 집중배치하고 일부 중앙부에 매입하여야 안정적인 인장재 역할을 하면서 하중응력을 받는다. 금속봉의 분산효과는 보강봉의 면적에 영향을 받을 뿐 지름과는 무관하였다. 하지만 큰 규모를 대상으로 할 때는 접착 단면을 고려하여 보강재 개수를 늘려주는 것이 하중응력에 안정적이다. 이때 적용되는 정착길이는 보강재의 직경에 따라 다음과 같은 식($l_d=a_tf_y/u{\Sigma}_0$)에 의거하여 설계한다. 또한 구조재로서 거동을 하기 위해서는 반드시 마디가 있는 전산형 보강봉을 사용하여야 한다.

천연기념물 모감주나무군락의 식생구조와 관리제언 (Management Guidelines and the Structure of Vegetation in Natural Monuments Koelreuteria Paniculata Community)

  • 본 연구는 천연기념물로 지정된 모감주나무군락의 보존 관리방안을 모색하고자 식생구조와 수목의 활력도, 토양특성 및 병충해 현황 등을 분석하였으며 결론은 다음과 같다. 식생구조를 분석한 결과, 모감주나무군락(Koelreuteria paniculata Community)은 크게 쇠무릎아군락(Achyranthes japonica Subcommunity)과 병아리꽃나무아군락(Rhodotypos scandens Subcommunity), 마삭줄아군락(Trachelospermum asiaticum var. intermedium Subcommunity)으로 구분되었다. 지역별 모감주나무군락의 식생구조를 보면, 안면도 모감주나무군락은 아교목층과 초본층의 2층 구조로 구성된 반면, 포항과 완도 대문리 모감주나무군락은 교목층과 아교목층, 관목층, 초본층의 4층 구조로 구성되어 있었다. 수목의 활력도 분석결과 안면도 모감주나무군락은 포항, 완도에 비해 비교적 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 이는 타 지역에 비해 모감주나무군락의 층위구조가 단순하고, 경쟁수종 등이 비교적 적어 병충해 등에 취약하며, 모감주나무군락의 밀도가 높아 이로 인해 수관경쟁 등으로 나타나는 자연낙지와 수목 자체의 활력도 저하로 인한 두 가지 측면으로 볼 수 있다. 토양특성 분석결과 토성, 토양산도, 유기물, 유효인산, 치환성 양이온은 수목 생장에 양호한 수준이지만 전질소함량은 국부적으로 결핍이 심하였으나 시비에는 신중을 기해야 할 것으로 판단된다. 병충해로는 갈반병과 흰가루병 및 알락하늘소에 의한 피해가 있었으나 전체 면적의 10~15% 내외정도로 나타났고, 지속적인 예찰이 필요하다. 본 연구를 통하여, 천연기념물 모감주나무군락의 보전을 위한 관리방안을 제시한다. 첫째, 모감주나무군락지 주변의 개발로 인한 환경 악화에 영향을 최소화 할 수 있는 지정면적의 확보가 필요하다. 특히 과거에 비해 면적이 감소된 구역의 경우 토지매입 등을 통한 지정구역의 확대 방안에 대한 검토도 필요할 것이다. 둘째, 모감주나무군락의 인위적 간섭(하예작업, 외과수술, 토양시비 등)은 군락의 유지기작에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 따라서, 인위적 간섭에 따른 군락의 변화양상에 대한 모니터링이 필요하며 이에 근거하여 보호사업 등이 시행되어야 할 것으로 사료된다. 셋째, 모감주나무군락의 유지기작에 영향을 주는 유묘, 치수의 발생을 분석한 결과 과년도와 비교하여 감소한 것으로 나타나 원인 규명이 필요하다. 따라서, 모감주나무군락의 종자 결실률과 이에 따른 발아와 유묘의 추이, 종조성의 변화 등 군락의 동태 파악을 통한 적극적 관리 방안이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. Our department has developed an information system for routine hematology using down-sized computer system. We have used an IBM 486 compatible PC with 16MB main memory, 210 MB hard disk drive, 9 RS-232C port and 24 pin dot printer. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N.
