For this object, this study is about the need and problem of appreciation through concert of art appreciation and educational meaning. And this study is research, based on 200 current teachers to teach the art education of appreciation in Seoul. In the case of student research, this study show the current appreciation education focusing on 200 students in Seoul. The teachers has been seeing the importance of the appreciation education, but that education has been performing in the poor environment without aids and appreciation materials. And they thought that the most effective way to teach the appreciation of art is the on-site education such as the invitation of art-gallery or museum. The Change of realization about art, together with improvement of realistic situation, is important. But more important problem is the role and the realization of teacher who teach art directly. If the teacher's viewpoint to teach directly education of appreciation is examined, there are following problems First, it lacks realization about the importance of appreciation education. Teachers who teach a student have been taken functional art education mainly and this trend has been spread in the whole of society, therefore, the importance about the teaching of appreciation is negligent and is handled indifferently. Also, Teachers do not offer opportunity to obtain professional information of art appreciation map to overemphasize the study of practical teaching research. Second, elementary schools teacher is, for the most part, occasion that homeroom teacher teaches all object classes, and complete charge teacher is selected only some. Therefore, teacher in charge who play most a lot of subjects is difficult to recognize the importance of art teaching appreciation subject or class. There must have been a research about the educational preventive measures as suitable support, reorganization of at time and experts in superior office educational institution. Trough this study, I could know that front-line teacher should be specialized and more complete charge teacher should be needed urgently. Finally, the teachers must break the custom of the art appreciation and develop various art appreciation method. And the teachers have to lead the students to be interested art appreciation. That's what cultivate the students' aesthetic feeling and genius.

  • During the last two and a half decades, philosophical interest in the aesthetics of nature and environment has been gained momentum. One of the most coherent theories in this arena of debate has been developed over a series of articles by Allen Carlson. The purpose of this paper is to examine Carlson's theory critically and suggest an alternative aspect that remains untouched by his model. Briefly stated, Carlson's view of the appreciation of nature is that it is a matter of under standing nature under suitable scientific categories. His argument, based on the objectivist epistemology, is basically a disjunctive syllogism : a) The concept of appreciation, derived from traditional disinterestedness and Stolnitz's aesthetic attitude, provides an insight into the explanation of aesthetic appreciation of nature, and is objectivistic in the light of its object-oriented character. b) Nature must be appreciated as nature itself, and the natural environmental model is the appropriate loci of our nature appreciation. c) The paradigmatic form of our nature appreciation is order appreciation. d) There can be a correct and objective aesthetic judgment of nature, and the sources of guiding categories pertinent to it is natural science and natural history. In regarding nature as an environment and as natural, his natural environmental model is meaningful. Nevertheless, his stance results in some serious problems : a) The natural environmental model excludes certain very common appreciative responses to nature-responses of a less intellective, more visceral sort. Therefore, the arousal model with appropriate emotions might be one of our characteristic forms of nature appreciation. b) Even if we consider the scientific knowledge as an objective source of our nature appreciation, this gives rise to the question of whether the natural science can be objective or not. Is there an objectivist aesthetic appreciation of nature\ Does aesthetic appreciation of nature need to be science-based\

  • As online communities proliferate, online news sites have received great attention in news media research. Although most of the online news sites provide contents for free, some have adopted the Pay-What-You-Want (PWYW) model by offering a voluntary payment option to the readers. In this study, we investigate the factors which influence subscribers' voluntary payment behavior on an online news site. Drawing upon both the Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) framework and the Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM), we hypothesize that appreciation has a direct effect on the subscribers' voluntary payment behavior, whereas central factors (positive emotional content, cognitive content) and peripheral factors (news sharing, news article length) of the news articles have indirect impacts on voluntary payment behavior through the enhanced appreciation. Based on an empirical analysis of 172 news articles from the Korean online news site that adopted the PWYW pricing model (i.e., Ohmynews.com), we find that appreciation plays a critical role in voluntary payment behavior and that peripheral factors have significant impacts on appreciation. However, the impacts of central factors on appreciation are not found. By identifying influencing factors of subscribers' voluntary payment behavior on online news sites for the first time, this paper suggests a prospective alternative profit model for online news providers faced with fierce competition.
