Objective: This study is to review three representative psychological perspectives that explain scientific construct of emotion, that are the discrete emotion model, appraisal model, and dimensional model. Background: To develop emotion sensitive interface is the fusion area of emotion and scientific technology, it is necessary to have a balanced mixture of both the scientific theory of emotion and practical engineering technology. Extensional theories of the emotional structure can provide engineers with relevant knowledge in functional application of the systems. Method: To achieve this purpose, firstly, literature review on the basic emotion model and the circuit model of discrete emotion model as well as representative theories was done. Secondly, review on the classical and modern theories of the appraisal model emphasizing cognitive appraisal in emotion provoking events was conducted. Lastly, a review on dimensional theories describing emotion by dimensions and representative theories was conducted. Results: The paper compared the three models based on the prime points of the each model. In addition, this paper also made a comment on a need for a comprehensive model an alternative to each model, which is componential model by Scherer(2001) describing numerous emotional aspects. Conclusion: However, this review suggests a need for an evolved comprehensive model taking consideration of social context effect and discrete neural circuit while pinpointing the limitation of componential model. Application: Insight obtained by extensive scientific research in human emotion can be valuable in development of emotion sensitive interface and emotion recognition technology.
Today, the civil society plays a key role not only in criticizing and monitoring the functions of the state and the market, but also as an active producer of public services by complementing the government and the public sector. Public records management is also becoming more and more popular. In the case of appraisal and selection, which is the core area of record management, discussions about citizen participation are becoming more serious than any other areas. The concept of 'proactive appraisal', which has emerged as a paradigm of citizens' participation in appraisal, reminds us that citizens themselves are the subjects of public records and are no longer alienated from the appraisal system. The problem is, while the growth of the Korean civil society about institutional participation is spreading rapidly, but citizen participation is hard to find in the field of public records. The purpose of this paper is to examine the role of citizen participation in the process of appraisal of public records, and to debunk the role of citizen participation in the appraisal processes by exploring the examples in the UK, Canada, and Australia. This paper emphasizes that the appraisal system of the national public records in crisis today could be largely restored through the domestic application of this active citizen participation cases. First of all, this study presents a conceptual appraisal model that could reflect citizen participation in the field of record management along with the analyses of the advanced cases in some western countries. Specifically, this paper focuses on presenting the models of 'appraisal documentation' and 'governance-based appraisal', reflecting the active citizen participation. This study suggests that these citizens' participatory evaluation models should be settled in Korea in the future and we should urgently discuss 'citizen participation appraisal'.

To improve M&S and SBA, it is important that their capability and maturity models should be developed. In general, capability and maturity models provide the standards for growth and improvement as well as the assessment on the organizational maturity level and the process capabilities, which are composed of a standard reference model and appraisal methods. In this paper, following introduction of a standard reference model for SBA in brief, we investigate some appraisal methods by survey and provide frameworks of appraisal method for SBA.
This study aims to evaluate the efficiency of superior appraisal corporations using DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis). DEA is known as a method for evaluating relative efficiency of organizations with multiple inputs and outputs. We used CCR-O and BCC-O DEA models to evaluate relative efficiency of superior appraisal corporations. Input variable is number of appraisers, output variables are total sales and net income. Total of 13 appraisal corporations in Korea were selected for this study, and the data were collected from financial reports for 2008 fiscal year. The result of this study is summarized as follows. First, the average of superior appraisal corporation's technical efficiency score is about 88.3% by applying CCR-O model. Second, the average of superior appraisal corporation's pure technical efficiency score is about 90% and scale efficiency score is about 98.2% by applying BCC-O model. According to the result of DEA, the cause of inefficiency is pure technical efficiency.

The final goal of the macro appraisal model of Canada is that the figure of society of the day is made by the record. The goal is that we evaluate the meaning documentary have in the social structure of the day to produce records. The organization to be affected much the society is recognized as the organism, 'Government' and the function analysis of the government is emphasized in order to be the documentation. Therefore, it is essential in the macro appraisal model that OPI, the department to carry out the very important function is identified. Also the research of governance about interaction of country and citizen is studied. Based on these studies, the macro appraisal theory is made and it can be macro appraisal methodology that these theory is verified through records. the government of Canada have operated macro appraisal model reflected the figure of the society since 1990's, on adapting the change of the record production of modern. The software architecture is an essential part of a software-intensive system. In addition, the architecture evaluation is a very important process and a cheap way to avoid a software disaster. This article introduces a new method to evaluate architecture by maturity levels. Maturity Models which are about software and software process, have gained wide scale acceptance over the last decade. We are applying these techniques to the software architecture and propose SW(Software Architecture Maturity appraisal Model). SAMM consists of six-levels. We expect that our maturity model SAMM describe the requirements that any architecture must have in order to improve its software architecture design and constitute a proven architecture within which to manage the improvement efforts. We can reduce our effort to design architecture, have a guideline to construct the high qualify architecture with SAMM, and evaluate architecture and make architecture level.
The discovery of the immunodeficient mice has provided a tool for establishing animal models as hosts for in vivo analysis of AML. Various model systems have been established in the last few decades, and it is essential that murine AML models are developed to exploit more specific, targeted therapeutics. In this review, we concentrate on the models of AML and discuss the development of immunodeficiency models for understanding of leukemogenesis, describe those now available and their values and document the methods used for establishing and identifying AML mice models, as well as factors influencing engraftment of human AML in immunodeficient mice. Thus, the function of this article is to provide clinicians and experimentalists with a chronological, comprehensive appraisal of all AML model systems.
This paper focuses on the phenomenon that international payment system is essential as reverse action of delivery or supply of digital goods in global transactions. In order to impose the customs duties on imported goods in global on-line transactions, the imposition of tariff by tracing the payment process when business transaction is occurring is recommended. The purpose of this study is to review the countermeasures for effective tariff imposition system by using the model of the main payment tools in global transactions. Some models reviewed in this paper are as follows : i) a model of withholding taxes at the source by the credit company ii) a model of self declaration by the importer iii)a model of registering by overseas company iv) a model of negotiating after the taxation at the export country This study is different from existing preceding research at the point of view of presenting 4 models and doing appraisal by each model. It should be done more in depth and various study on the model of the tariff imposition system about the models reviewed at this paper. Systematic and reasonable alternatives which are actually adoptable at the system should also be studied and examined carefully. Because it is required that tariff imposition system on the digital goods should be harmonized with that of traditional business in order to obtain effectiveness and rightfulness, and especially, in order to get justness for the imposition a tariff on digital goods, the process of tax imposition should be predictable and be sure to get the fairness by enhancing the equilibrium, impartiality and transparency.
This study was started to verify the preliminary(Ex-ante) discrimination power of the firm's high-activity using the 'Forward-looking' oriented technology appraisal model used in technology financing. The analytical firms are classified into the industry (manufacturing / non-manufacturing) and the age of company (initial / non-initial). High-activity SMEs are defined as those that achieve at least twice the average asset turnover ratio of the cluster. As a result of the discriminant model by applying C5.0 method, which is one of decision tree models, classification accuracy is more than 99% in all industries and the age of company, and it is confirmed that the discriminant power of the model is stable. As a result, the management expertise, capital involvement and funding capacity items were identified as a critical variable for the high-activity SMEs. In addition, the technology management capability and technology life cycle were also confirmed to be the items to determine high-activity SMEs in the manufacturing industry. Through this, it was possible to confirm some possibility of prior discrimination and policy utilization of high-activity SMEs by using technology appraisal items.
Objectives: The current study evaluated the effects of an integrated breast health program according to levels of breast cancer risk appraisal on knowledge on breast cancer, early detection behaviors, and diet patterns and attitudes in Korean healthy women. Method: A nonequivalent control group pre-posttest design was used. A total of 413 women aged 40-59, registering at the Life Long Health Center in two cities, were classified into intervention groups of 179 women and control groups of 234 women. The integrated breast health program included education, counseling on breast cancer, early detection behaviors, and appropriate diet with multimedia and individual practice session using breast models, reflecting characteristics of each level according to levels of risk appraisal. The knowledge on breast cancer, early detection behaviors, and diet were investigated using questionnaires at baseline and three months after intervention. Results: In both normal and borderline-risk group, intervention groups reported significantly higher scores of knowledge on breast cancer and higher stages of BSE behaviors than control groups. Conclusion: The results showed positive effects on knowledge and early detection behaviors of breast cancer in normal and borderline-risk groups. Further studies should investigate longitudinal effects of the intervention program on dietary change.
