SOFTWARE STREAMING TECHNOLOGY FOR TELEMETICS APPLICATIONS

  • The software streaming technology enables telematics software to be automatically updated through a wireless network. When the software starts running, software streaming system inspects its version and then, automatically download latest one. The software streaming system breaks the software into several pieces that are streamed to the user as needed. In this way, software streaming system can improves the telematics application load time while updating the software through wireless network. In our experiments, the application load time was reduced about 7 times compared to downloading whole software at best case.

Research on the Process of Constructing Application Systems Using the E-R Model and an Automated Application Generator (E-R 모델과 자동생성기를 이용한 응용시스템의 구축 과정에 관한 연구)

  • This Paper makes an attempt to suggest a process of automatically generating application software based on the Entity-Relationship model 1. The designer develops an E-R model of an real-world system. 2. The designer inputs the entity and relationship types, and attributes shown in the E-R model, and also the basic operations of the application system to the software generator. 3. The application generator produces database schema and link information between application programs, and then automatically generates a stereo-type application system. In order for the automated application generator to build the application system in a systematic way, four basic program generation rules have been suggested. A set of computer programs have been developed in order to show the applicability of the automated software generation process suggested in this paper. By following each rule with the generator, the designer can build an application in an efficient manner compared with traditional (manual programming) approaches. It has been demonstrated from the case study that the idea of applying an automated generator in systems development based upon the E-R model is feasible.

Application Software Modeling and Integration Methodology using AUTOSAR-ready Light Software Architecture (AUTOSAR 대응 경량화 소프트웨어 아키텍처를 이용한 어플리케이션 소프트웨어 모델링 및 통합 방법)

  • This paper describes a model-based software development methodology for AUTOSAR-ready light software architecture(AUTOSAR-Lite). The proposed methodology briefly represents an application software modeling technique using Matlab/Simulink. Using the proposed technique, application software architecture elements (e.g. software components, runnables, and interfaces) and functional behaviors can be designed in a single modeling environment. From the designed model, the codes of application software is automatically generated using Real-Time Workshop Embedded Coder. The generated application software is easily integrated with hand-coded basic software using the proposed method. In order to evaluate the proposed methodology, a diesel engine management system for a passenger car was employed as a case study. Based on the methodology, 8 atomic software components and 52 runnables are successfully developed, and they are evaluated by engine experiments. From this case study, AUTOSAR compatible model-based application software was successfully developed, and the effectiveness of the proposed methodology was evaluated.

  • Technological innovations over the years have accentuated the workings in corporate- connected organizations and different application platforms. Hence, a unified management information system (MIS) that can utilize the Web and propel programming developments is required. Software agents, the latest developments in computer software technology, can be utilized to rapidly and effortlessly build integrated information systems. Consequently, 59 research papers on the use of software agents in MIS were identified from top 40 MIS journals published between 2007 and 2017. Then, we reviewed and classified all the research papers according to two categories: application fields and application categories. The application fields consisted of eight sub-groups: manufacturing, telecommunication systems, traffic and transportation management, information filtering and gathering, electronic commerce, business process management, entertainment, and medical care; whereas the application categories consisted of three sub-groups: multi-agent systems, personal assistants, and multi-agent simulation. The research papers were further divided into journal and year of publication, and journal and application field. The objective of our research was to understand the trend of the use software agent technology in MIS by examining the published research paper beside to add knowledge and content to the information system academic discipline.

  • A safe computer environment is necessarily required for computer users, because of a damage is widely increased by a malicious software such as the warm, virus and trojan horse. A general vaccine program can detect after the malicious software intruded. This kinds of the vaccine program show good result against a malicious code which is well known, however, there is no function in the vaccine or not enough ability to detect an application software which a malicious code included. So, this paper proposes an application verification system to decide existence and nonexistence of a malicious code in the application software. The proposed application verification system with a mechanism that grasps the flow type of malicious code, can make a reduction of a damage for computer users before the application software executed.

  • Computer는 발명되서부터 매년 응용분야가 넓어지고 있다. 현재에는 情 報處理라는 말그대로 어떠한 형태이든가의 복잡하고 다량의 情報가 存在하는 곳 에는 computer를 導入할려고 하든가, 또는 導入이 끝난 곳에서는 보다 큰 大規模 의 system으로 擴張하려고 하는 생각들을 보통 가지고 있다. 이러한 요구에 응하 여 왔던 것이 hardware, oprating system, 그리고 application software이다. 그중 hardware나 operating system은 多小 變化하여 왔지만은, 方式的으로는 application의 특성에 의한 요구에는 별로 틀린것이 없이 대개 같은 종류의 것이 쓰여왔다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 무수히 變하는 application의 複雜한 論理를 實現 하는 것은, 그 책임이 application software 개발자에 걸려있다. 그러므로 이러한 것들은 개발자(designer, programmer) 들의 개인의 기술과 努力에 달렸다고 말할 수 있다.

Data Modeling for Developing the Baseline Network Analysis Software of Korean EMS System (한국형 EMS 시스템의 Baseline 계통 해석용 소프트웨어 개발을 위한 데이터 모델링)

  • This paper summarizes a data modeling for developing the baseline network analysis software of the Korean energy management system (EMS). The study is concentrated on the following aspects. First, the data for operating the each application software are extracted. Some of the EMS network application softwares are selected for basis model. Those are based on the logical functions of each software and are not considered the other softwares. Second, the common data are extracted for equipment model and topological structure of power system in Korea. We propose the application common model(ACM) that can be applied whole EMS network application softwares. The ACM model includes the hierarchy and non-hierarchy power system structure, and is connected each other using the direct and indirect link. Proposed database model is tested using the Korea Electric Power Corporation(KEPCO) system. The real time SCADA data are provided for the test. Through the test, we verified that the proposed database structure can be effectively used to accomplish the Korean EMS system.

We developed this system which helps the software testing team to keep a complete record of their testing activities during the software testing, also increases your confidence in the software quality, class and worth. Our proposed system offers trouble-free and effortless approaches to acquire desired information about bug, also produces different kinds of reports like summary reports, detailed reports etc. It gives facility to create, delete and update any project. Our developed application system is designed by using visual c# at front end and sql server 2008 management studio express at back end.

  • The issue of using information system to ensure competitive power in the market is rising. The outsourcing methods that entrust activities of information system of companies to other expert agencies are increasing as the enterprises make a lot of efforts to put their resources to their heart of business in the process of adopting information system. Recently, ASP (Application Service Provider) as new information technology outsourcing method appears due to development of network technology and spreading of peculating software. ASP defines as a software leasing service which is supplied through networks instead of purchasing application software with high price. For successful implementation of ASP, it is necessary to develop a certification program to ensure safety and reliability of ASP. This paper provides the safe and reliable certification program for ASP. In order to develop it, the critical issues related to service quality and certification of ASP are identified and then evaluation methodology for ASP certification program is proposed. This paper presents application certification as the part of ASP certification program.

  • Software release over the network is the most efficacious way of software update. Software release of electronic switching system, considering its environments, is the typical case that is in need of adopting the method. The media of transferring software and data of TDX-10A electronic switching system are magnetic tapes containing them, so the MT must be delivered between remotely placed office and package generation system. SMART-10A system provides the file tranfer on the data network between TDX-10A and the package generation system and ability of remote application of new software. This paper shows the implementation of file transfer between TDX-10A and computer system connected by data networks, status handling for duplicated system, and monitor process design with IPC on UNIX system.
