개인별 식사계획을 위한 웹 기반 프로그램 개발 (Development of Program Based on the Website for Individual Meal Planning)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the website-based program for individual meal planning. The program consisted of the basic information of clients, dietary habits, analysis of nutrient intakes and menu planning. The first part of the program consisted of general information such as general characteristics and anthropometric data of clients. The second part was designed to investigate the dietary habits, food intake frequency, nutrition knowledge, and drinking and smoking habits of the clients. The third part consisted of analysis of nutrient intakes including three major nutrients, calorie intake by foods and alcohol, and ratio of individual fatty acid intake. Nutrient intakes was evaluated by comparing with dietary reference intakes. In the final part, the program included the menu planning by using standard recipe. This system was also designed to insert, remove or change the food items or amount according to the user need. It is expected that the development of a meal planning system based on the internet can facilitate the professional dietary counseling, and thus help to improve the health of people.

  • Many of facial feature extracting applications and systems have been developed in the field of face recognition systems and its application, and most of them use the eyes as a key-feature of human face. In this paper we show a simple and fast eye detection algorithm for embedded systems. The eyes are very important facial features because of the attribution they have. For example, we know the darkest regions in a face are the pair of pupils, and the eyes are always a pair and parallel. Using such attributors, our algorithm works well under various light conditions, size of face in image, and various pose such as panning and tilting. The main keys to develop this algorithm are the eyes' attribution that we can usually contemplate and easily find when we think about what is the attribution that the eyes have. With some constraints of the eyes and knowledge of the anthropometric human face, we detect human eye in an image, and the experimental results demonstrate successful eye detection.

계산직 작업의 근골격계질환 유해요인 평가 (Evaluation of Risk Factors of Musculoskeletal Disorders in Cashier Work Activities)

  • The objective of this study was to identify risk factors associated with the occurrence of musculo-skeletal symptoms of cashiers and provide suggestions for an improved workspace design. Workload and exertion of each task were measured using job analysis and posture analysis. The three most time-consuming tasks were waiting (43.8%), scanning (23.5%) and payment transaction (22.9%). It was analyzed that the workspace can be improved by applying Korean anthropometric data to the design of the desk height. The most common posture was a standing posture with neutral back, and bent lower arms and hands. Finally, it was revealed that 'scanning' and 'payment transaction' seemed more stressful than other operations. The result of the ergonomic evaluation would be a useful basis for designing an improved workspace.

14~16세 여자 청소년 하반신 체형 유형화 및 특징 분석 (Body Type Classification and Characteristic Analysis of the Lower Body of 14-16 Years Old Female Adolescents)

  • The study classifies and analyzes the lower-body-shape types of female adolescents aged 14 to 16 years to provide meaningful information for making ready-to-wear patterns that are suitable for various female adolescent body types. The body-size data of 830 females aged 14 to 16 years were analyzed from 6th Size Korea anthropometric study. A factor analysis of 27 measurement items related to the lower body extracted 3 factors: waist/upper legs, height of the lower body, and hip area. A cluster analysis classified the female adolescent lower-body types into four clusters: the skinny body type with the shortest lower-body length, the most obese body type with the largest girth, the normal body type with the longest hip length, and the slender body type with the longest lower-body length. The discriminant analysis determined that nine measurement items had the most influence on classifying lower-body-shape types, and discriminant functions were derived. These results are meaningful because they provide more precise information about lower-body-shape types.

Ergonomic Design of Necklace Type Wearable Device

  • Objective: This study aims to identify important physical design variables in designing a necklace type wearable device, and to present design guidelines to maximize comfort that a user feels upon wearing the device. Background: Interests in fitness culture and personal health are on the rise recently. In such a situation, demand for necklace type wearable devices is projected to increase a lot, as the devices enable users to use their hands freely and to enjoy various contents through connection with mobile devices. However, the necklace type wearable device's comfort was assessed to have the lowest comfort in a running situation, where human body moves up and down and left and right more than other devices wearable on other human body parts. Therefore, the usability of a necklace type wearable device was low. In this regard, studies on identification of the variables affecting user comfort upon wearing a necklace type wearable device and on physical design direction maximizing comfort and usability are needed. Method: A pretest and a main test were carried out to draw the direction of necklace type wearable device design. In the pretest, wearing evaluation on the diverse types of devices released in the market was conducted to draw physical design variables of the devices affecting comfort. Furthermore, variables significantly affecting the comfort of a device were selected through an analysis of variance (ANOVA). In the main test, anthropometry was performed, and information on anthropometric items corresponding to the design variables selected in the pretest was acquired. Based on the pretest results and the anthropometric information in the main test, the present study produced design guidelines maximizing the comfort of a necklace type wearable device with regard to major design variables upon dynamic tasks. Results: According to the pretest results, the variables having effects on comfort were the angle of side points, width, and height. Due to interactions between variables, those need to be simultaneously considered upon designing a device. Upon dynamic tasks, the angle of side points and width of a device was designed to be smaller than mean angle of the trapezius muscle and neck width, and thus attachment to human body was high. As height was designed to be larger than mean neck front and rear point width, comfort was higher due to feeling of stability. Conclusion: Because user sensitivity to comfort was high at human body's inflection points, a device needs to be designed for users not to feel high pressure on specific body parts with the device fitting human body shape well. A design considering user's situation is also required in further studies.

여자대학생의 생리주기에 따른 인체계측변인 둘레의 변화 (Changes in the girth of anthropometric variables during menstrual cycle in women university students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 생리주기별로 인체계측변인의 둘레를 반복측정하고 둘레의 변화 정도를 제시하여 월경전 증후군 증상 경감을 위한 프로그램 및 보조물 개발, 월경기 여성건강관리프로그램 개발, 월경전기 및 월경기 여성을 위한 운동프로그램 개발 등에 기초자료를 제공하고자 하는 것이다. 연구참여자는 생리불순과 (속발성)월경곤란증, 월경전 증후군을 호소하지 않는 건강한 여자대학생 10명이었다. 생리주기별로 가슴부위(2곳)와 허리부위(2곳), 엉덩이 부위를 반복측정한 결과 겨드랑부위는 황체기에 비해 월경기에, 유두부 가슴둘레와 가는 허리둘레는 난포기에 비해 월경기에 유의하게 큰 결과를 보였다. 가슴둘레와 허리둘레에 있어 난포기와 황체기 사이에 유의한 차이가 없었으며, 엉덩이둘레는 생리주기에 따른 유의한 차이가 없었다. 결론적으로 가슴둘레와 허리들레는 생리주기에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 향후 체중, 체지방율, 혈중 및 국소호르몬 농도 변화 등을 중심으로 한 지속적인 연구수행이 제언된다.

인터넷 영양교육 참여 대학생의 질병유무에 따른 식행동, 식이섭취 및 인터넷 사용에 관한 연구 (The Dietary Behavior, Dietary Intakes and Internet Searches Reagarding by Disease in College Students Participating in a Nutrition Education Web Class)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the dietary behavior, dietary intakes and internet searches regarding diseas by college students participating in a nutrition education web class. The study subject were 1184 college students and crosssectional survey was conducted by a self-administered questionnaire. The questionnaire deal with anthropometric data, diseas, dietary behaviors, dietary intakes, and the use of nutrition information via the internet. The data was analyzed using a SPSS PC program. Disease group was 19.6% (male: 17.1%, female: 21.9%) and non-disease group was 80.4% (male: 82.9%, female: 78.1%) of subjects. As for the kinds of diseas, the male disease group had stomach diseas (15.7%), ozena (15.7%), hepatitis (10.8%) and allergic disease (7.8%), etc, and the female disease group had stomach diseas (32.8%), allergic diseas (12.0%), bronchitis and bronchial asthma (10.4%), anemia (7.2%), and constipation (1.6%), etc. Non-disease group showed significantly higher irregularity of meal time compared to disease group. Also, Disease group showed significantly higher concern about nutrition and health, worse recognition of theirown nutrition and health satus, and made greater efforts to prevention diseas compared to the non-diseas group. In the male subjects, the average intake of Calories, Vitamin $B_2$ and calcium was lower than the Korean RDA and in the female subjects, those of Calories, calcium and Fe were lower than the Korean RDA. Most of the diseas (97%) and the non-disease (98.2%) groups had positive attituds toward the usefulness of internet nutrition information. The disease group showed a higher confidence in the internet nutrition information and recognition of internet information on poisons compared to the non-diseas group. However, this difference was not significant. Therefore. it is necessary to provide sientifically proven nutrition of information via the internet for college students in order to promote healthful lifestyles and to prevent diseas.

  • 최근 고령화 시대가 되면서 사람들의 건강한 삶에 관한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 사람들은 잘못된 생활, 식습관, 신체활동 저하 등으로 인하여 성인병을 유발하거나 비만 인구수가 증가하고 있다. 이에 정보통신 분야에서 의료분야 정보를 활용하여 피부 미용 연구가 진행되고 있다. 기존의 시스템들은 다양한 관련 측정 항목들에 대해 결합하여 표현되지 않아서 원활한 정보를 제공받지 못하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템은 3D 스캐너와 피부미용기기를 사용하여 사용자의 체형을 스캔하고, 3D 이미지 데이터를 사용하여 BMI(Body Mass Index) 지수를 계산하고 수집된 데이터를 한눈에 볼 수 있는 웹 서비스 시스템을 제공한다. 이는 지속적인 신체 변화 데이터를 비교하여 제공하므로 관리되는 내용을 사용자에게 제공하게 될 것이다. 이는 다양한 U-헬스 및 미용분야에서 널리 활용될 것으로 사료된다.

인터넷 의류 판매 사이트의 가상피팅모델 구축을 위한 입력정보 종류와 결과 비교 (Study on input data for developing virtual fitting model at internet apparel shopping sites and comparison of the results)

  • 개인별 신체 특성을 나타내는 가상피팅모델을 이용하여 제공되는 가상 착용 서비스는 웹을 기반으로 한 인터넷 의류 쇼핑의 흥미를 더해준다. 본 연구의 연구자들은 2000년과 2002년에 개발된 미국의 가상피팅모델과 국내에서 개발되었던 가상피팅모델의 개발 기술의 특성과 변화를 분석하였다. 연구결과는 가상피팅모델의 구축을 위해서는 인체의 치수, 형태, 얼굴의 특징들에 관한 정보 입력이 필요하며, 이때 요구되는 정보는 미국과 한국의 사이트에서 차이가 있음을 밝혔다. 미국의 사이트는 정면이나 측면의 실루엣에 대한 정보의 입력이 요구되는 반면 한국의 사이트는 더 많은 인체 치수 관련 정보를 요구하였다. 2000년에 개발되었던 한국의 가상피팅모델은 길고 좁은 프로포션으로 표현되어 사실적인 표현이 부족하였던 반면 2002년 미국에서 개발한 가상피팅모델은 다양한 인종의 특성을 반영하며, 그래픽 기술의 발전으로 사실적으로 표현된 가상피팅모델을 제공하는 것으로 나타났다.

알레르기 질환을 가진 초등학교 고학년의 식생활·환경적 요인 및 성장과의 관련성 분석 (Risk Factors for Allergic Diseases in School-Aged Children)

  • 본 연구는 대구 지역 초등학교 5~6학년 학생을 대상으로 알레르기 질환 환자군과 대조군으로 분류한 후, 알레르기 유병과 관련이 있는 환경적 요인을 분석하고 알레르기 유병여부에 따른 대상자의 성장 수준 및 영양 섭취 상태를 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면, 첫째, 대조군과 비교하여 환자군의 어머니 교육수준이 더 높았으며, 부모 및 형제의 알레르기 질환 유병 비율이 더 높은 경향을 보였다. 둘째, 환자군이 대조군보다 출생 순위가 더 낮은 경향을 보였고, 출생 당시 질병을 가지고 있는 경우와 이유식 섭취 후 부작용을 경험한 비율이 더 높았다. 셋째, 현재 대상자의 건강상태를 반영하는 최근 병원 진료 경험 빈도와 감기 및 소화질환 경험 빈도는 대조군과 비교하여 환자군에게서 더 높은 경향을 보였다. 넷째, 아동의 알레르기 질환 위험을 높이는 가장 강력한 요인은 부모 및 형제의 알레르기 질환력이었다. 전 세계적으로 알레르기 질환의 유병률이 증가하고 있는 가운데, 위와 같은 본 연구의 결과는 향후 알레르기 질환의 예방을 위한 기초 자료로 사용될 수 있을 것이다.
