In this paper, we have analyzed and compared the BER and the throughput performance through the computer simulation, after applying several MIMO schemes on the MIMO-OFDM system. Then, the throughput performance of the proposed system, Adaptive-MCM, is analyzed. As a result, the MIMO-OFDM Adaptive-MCM system proposed has a higher average data rate than Non Adaptive-MCM system through the improvement of Trade-off problem between throughput and SNR.
In this paper, the performance of precoding-aided differential spatial modulation (PDSM) systems with optimal transmit antenna subset (TAS) selection is examined analytically. The average bit error rate (ABER) performance of the optimal TAS selection-based PDSM systems using a zero-forcing (ZF) precoder is evaluated using theoretical upper bound and Monte Carlo simulations. Simulation results validate the analysis and demonstrate a performance penalty < 2.6 dB compared with precoding-aided spatial modulation (PSM) with optimal TAS selection. The performance analysis reveals a transmit diversity gain of (NT-NR+1) for the ZF-based PDSM (ZF-PDSM) systems that employ TAS selection with NT transmit antennas, NS selected transmit antennas, and NR receive antennas. It is also shown that reducing the number of activated transmit antennas via optimal TAS selection in the ZF-PDSM systems degrades ABER performance. In addition, the impacts of channel estimation errors on the performance of the ZF-PDSM system with TAS selection are evaluated, and the performance of this system is compared with that of ZF-based PSM with TAS selection.

This paper proposes a combination system of Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) and Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO), which improves the throughput and has a better reliability. In addition, the system includes Precoding, Antenna Subset Selection and MIMO Mode Selection scheme. Finally, we make a performance analysis of the proposed system. The principal environmental parameters for the simulation experiment consist of a frequency non-selective rayleigh fading channel and a Spreading Factor (SF) of 16. Other parameters may be included in order to fulfill the requirements of the HSDP A Standard. The proposed system has a higher throughput and more reliability than the conventional system, which does not include MIMO Mode Selection scheme, Precoding or Antenna Subset Selection. According to the simulation results, the proposed system reaches the maximum throughput at 8dB, presentlng an improvement of 6dB and twice higher throughput, respect to the conventional system. Specifically, at the point of -6dB, the conventional system reaches 2.5Mbps, while the proposed system reaches 6.4Mbps at the same SNR. Also, at the point of 2dB, each system reaches 7.5Mbps (conventional system) and 15.3Mbps (proposed system), with near twice the difference. According to the results exposed above, we can conclude that the system proposed in this paper has, as the greatest contribution, the improvement of the throughput, especially, the average throughput.

Recent work has been shown that cognitive radio systems with multiple antenna at both transmitter and receiver are able to improve performance of secondary users. In such system, the main drawback is the increased complexity and raised cost as the number of antennas increase. It is desirable to apply antenna selection which select a subset of the available antennas so as to solve these problems. In this paper, we consider antenna selection method for cognitive radio systems in correlated channel from the IEEE 802.11n. For a multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) system with more antennas at transmitter than the receiver, we select the same number of transmit antennas as that of receive antennas. The exhaustive search for optimal antenna becomes impractical. We present criterion for selecting subset in terms of projection of channel correlation vector to increase performance of secondary user with decreasing interference at primary user.

The future wireless communication systems will use spatial multiplexing with Multiple Input Multiple Output(MIMO) system to take advantage of large channel capacity gains. In such systems it will be desirable to select a sub-set of available transmit or receive antennas to reduce cost and complexity. In this paper we propose a novel antenna selection schemes for MIMO systems be suitable for multipath environment. Also, we analyze the capacity and define the outage probability for a novel antenna selection schemes for MIMO systems in multipath environment.

In this paper, we focus on the potential of dual polarized antennas in mobile system. thus, this paper designs exact dual polarized channel with Spatial Channel Model (SCM) and investigates the performance for certain environment. Using proposed the channel model; we know estimates of the channel capacity as a function of cross polarization discrimination (XPD) and spatial fading correlation. It is important that the MIMO channel matrix consists of Kronecker product dividable spatial and polarized channel. Through the channel characteristics, we propose an algorithm for the adaptation of transmit antenna configuration to time varying propagation environments. The optimal active transmit antenna subset is determined with equal power allocated to the active transmit antennas, assuming no feedback information on types of the selected antennas. We first consider a heuristic decision strategy in which the optimal active transmit antenna subset and its system capacity are determined such that the transmission data rate is maximized among all possible types. This paper then proposes singular values decision procedure consisting of Kronecker product with spatial and polarize channel. This method of singular value decision, which the first channel environments is determined using singular values of spatial channel part which is made of environment parameters and distance between antennas. level of correlation. Then we will select antenna which have various polarization type. After spatial channel structure is decided, we contact polarization types which have considerable cases It is note that the proposed algorithms and analysis of dual polarized channel using SCM (Spatial Channel Model) optimize channel capacity and reduce the number of transmit antenna selection compare to heuristic method which has considerable 100 cases.

This paper proposes an algorithm for transmit antenna selection in a multi-input multi-output(MIMO) spatial multiplexing system with per antenna rate control(PARC) and an ordered successive interference cancellation (OSIC) receiver. The active antenna subset is determined at the receiver and conveyed to the transmitter using feedback information on transmission rate per antenna. We propose a serial decision procedure consisting of a successive process that tests whether antenna selection gain exists when the antenna with the lowest pre-processing signal to interference and noise ratio(SINR) is discarded at each stage. Furthermore, we show that 'reverse detection ordering', whereby the signal with the lowest SINR is decoded at each stage of successive decoding, widens the disparities among fractions of the whole capacity allocated to each individual antenna and thus maximizes a gain of antenna selection. Numerical results show that the proposed reverse detection ordering based serial antenna selection approaches the closed-loop MIMO capacity and that it induces a negligible capacity loss compared with the heuristic selection strategy even with considerably reduced complexity.
In this work, we study the performance of a serial concatenated scheme comprising a convolutional code (CC) and an orthogonal space-time block code (STBC) separated by an inter-leaver. Specifically, we derive performance bounds for this concatenated scheme, clearly quantify the impact of using a CC in conjunction with a STBC, and compare that to using a STBC code only. Furthermore, we examine the impact of performing antenna selection at the receiver on the diversity order and coding gain of the system. In performing antenna selection, we adopt a selection criterion that is based on maximizing the instantaneous signal-tonoise ratio (SNR) at the receiver. That is, we select a subset of the available receive antennas that maximizes the received SNR. Two channel models are considered in this study: Fast fading and quasi-static fading. For both cases, our analyses show that substantial coding gains can be achieved, which is confirmed through Monte-Carlo simulations. We demonstrate that the spatial diversity is maintained for all cases, whereas the coding gain deteriorates by no more than $10\;log_{10}$ (M / L) dB, all relative to the full complexity multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system.

Transmit diversity schemes we an effective capacity improvement method for down link of wideband code division multiple access (W-CDMA) systems. In this paper, we propose to use transmit antenna subset selection scheme in conjunction with closed loop transmit adaptive array (TxAA). The proposed scheme selects N$\_$s/ optimum antennas among N$\_$${\gamma}$/(>N$\_$s/) transmit antennas in order to maximize diversity gain from selected antennas, and also reduces the cost of RE chains by employing two different types of RF modules fur the selected and the unselected antenna group, respectively. Computer simulation results show performance improvement by the proposed scheme over the conventional TxAA when considering up link control information feedback.
