적외선 영상에서 변위추정 및 SURF 특징을 이용한 표적 탐지 분류 기법 (The Target Detection and Classification Method Using SURF Feature Points and Image Displacement in Infrared Images)

  • 본 논문에서는 적외선 영상에서 영상 변위를 이용하여 기동 표적 영역을 탐지하고, SURF(Speeded Up Robust Features) 특징점에 대한 BAS(Beam Angle Statistics)를 이용하여 분류하는 시스템에 대하여 설명한다. 영상 기반 기술 분야에서 대표적인 대응점 정합 알고리즘인 SURF 기법은 SIFT(Scale Invariant Feature Transform) 기법에 비해 정합 속도가 매우 빠르고 비슷한 정합 성능을 보이기 때문에 널리 사용되고 있다. SURF를 이용한 대부분의 객체 인식의 경우 특징점 추출과 정합의 과정을 수행하지만, 제안하는 기법은 표적의 기동 특성을 반영하여 영상의 변위 추정을 통하여 표적의 영역을 탐지하고 SURF 특징점 들의 기하구조를 판단함으로써 표적 분류를 수행한다. 제안하는 기법은 무인 표적 탐지/인지 시스템의 초기모델 구축을 위하여 연구가 진행되었으며, 모의 표적을 이용한 가상 영상과 적외선 실 영상을 이용하여 실험한 결과 약 73~85%의 분류 성능을 확인하였다.

  • A fuzzy control strategy is described which is utilized to control the joint angle and tip deflection in single flexible manipulator. In this paper, an existing model for a single flexible manipulator is used for the initial development of an FLC. One FLC is designed to govern the joint angle of the manipulator as it is rotated from one position to another, and the second FLC is designed to attenuate the tip deflection which result from joint angle body motion. Reference Trajectory Command is an important method to reduce vibration in flexible beam. This paper presents a very simple command control shaping which eliminates multiple mode residual vibration in a flexible beam combined parallel fuzzy controller. The effectiveness of proposed scheme is demonstrated through computer simulation.

Free vibration analysis of stiffened laminated plates using layered finite element method

  • The free vibration analysis of stiffened laminated composite plates has been performed using the layered (zigzag) finite element method based on the first order shear deformation theory. The layers of the laminated plate is modeled using nine-node isoparametric degenerated flat shell element. The stiffeners are modeled as three-node isoparametric beam elements based on Timoshenko beam theory. Bilinear in-plane displacement constraints are used to maintain the inter-layer continuity. A special lumping technique is used in deriving the lumped mass matrices. The natural frequencies are extracted using the subspace iteration method. Numerical results are presented for unstiffened laminated plates, stiffened isotropic plates, stiffened symmetric angle-ply laminates, stiffened skew-symmetric angle-ply laminates and stiffened skew-symmetric cross-ply laminates. The effects of fiber orientations (ply angles), number of layers, stiffener depths and degrees of orthotropy are examined.

Effects of surface geometry of MgO protective layer for AC-PDPs

  • MgO thin films were deposited by e-beam evaporator using the 2-step method for alternate current plasma display panels (AC-PDPs). Glancing angle deposition (GLAD) method was employed to produce various surface geometry of the thin film; the bottom layer was deposited on a substrate by normal e-beam evaporation method and the top layer was deposited on bottom layer with $85^{\circ}$ by GLAD method. Results show that firing and sustain voltages improved as the sharpness of surface and isolated columnar structures increases, respectively.

  • A control method for the angle servo of reference beam during reading recoded data images of a holographic data storage system is presented. The recording scheme with angle offset is adopted in order to verify the proposed angle servo. Using this recording scheme, the angle error signal is generated and we can implement the angle servo. Experiments have been performed on recording and reading data images to compensate Bragg angle mismatch.

  • To date, rubbing has been widely used to align LC molecules uniformly. Although rubbing can be simple, it has fundamental problems such as the generation of defects by dust and static electricity, and difficulty in achieving a uniform LC alignment on a large substrate. Therefore, non contact alignment has been investigated. Ion beam induced alignment method, which provides controllability, nonstop process, and high resolution display. In this study, we investigated liquid crystal (LC) alignment with ion beam (IB) that non contact alignment technique on polyimide and electro-optical characteristics of twisted nematic (TN)-liquid crystal display (LCD) on the polyimide under various ion beam angles. In this experiment, Polyimide layer was coated on glass by spin-coating and Voltage-transmittance(VT) and response time characteristics of the TN cell were measured by a LCD evaluation system. The good characteristics of the nematic liquid crystal (NLC) alignment with the ion beam exposure polyimide surface was observed. The tilt angle of NLC on the PI surface with ion beam exposure can be measured under $1^{\circ}$ for all of irradiation angles. In addition, it can be achieved the good EO properties, and residual DC property of the ion beam aligned TN cell on polyimide surface.

Liquid Crystal Orientation Properties on Homogeneous Polymer Surface by Various Alignment Methods

  • We have studied the liquid crystal alignment properties for various alignment methods on the homogeneous polyimide surface. Suitable liquid crystal alignment for one-side alignment cell on the polyimide surface by all alignment method was observed. Highly pre-tilt angle of the NLC for both-side rubbing cell was measured. But, low pre-tilt angle of the NLC for one-side ion beam and UV irradiation cell was observed. We consider that the pre-tilt angle of NLC for one-side ion beam and UV irradiation on the PI surface is lower than that of the PI surface with rubbing. Also, the suitable transmittance-voltage curves for the one-side rubbing TN-LCD on the PI surface with one-side UV irradiation were measured. Also, good response time characteristics of the one-side rubbing TN-LCD on the polyimide surface with one-side UV irradiation can be measured.

빔 위치 관련 제어인자가 집속이온빔 패턴 증착공정에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Parameters Controlling Beam Position On-Sample During Deposition Patterning Process with Focused Ion Beam)

  • The application of focused ion beam (FIB) depends on the optimal interaction of the operation parameters between operating parameters which control beam and samples on the stage during the FIB deposition process. This deposition process was investigated systematically in C precursor gas. Under the fine beam conditions (30kV, 40nm beam size, etc), the effect of considered process parameters - dwell time, beam overlap, incident beam angle to tilted surface, minimum frame time and pattern size were investigated from deposition results by the design of experiment. For the process analysis, influence of the parameters on FIB-CVD process was examined with respect to dimensions and constructed shapes of single and multi- patterns. Throughout the single patterning process, optimal conditions were selected. Multi-patterning deposition were presented to show the effect of on-stage parameters. The analysis have provided the sequent beam scan method and the aspect-ratio had the most significant influence for the multi-patterning deposition in the FIB processing. The bitmapped scan method was more efficient than the one-by-one scan type method for obtaining high aspect-ratio (Width/Height > 1) patterns.

비보강받침접합의 용접강도와 설계도표 (The Weld Strength and Design Tables for the Unstiffened Seated Connections)

  • 비보강받침접합(Unstiffened Seated Connection, USC)은 시공의 편의성과 설치시의 안정성 및 경제성이 있는 단순접합의 한 종류이다. 비보강받침접합은 하부ㄱ형강과 상부ㄱ형강으로 구성되며 하부ㄱ형강은 보의 단부반력전체를 지지하며, 상부ㄱ형강은 보의 안정을 위하여 설치한다. 상부와 하부ㄱ형강은 볼트 또는 용접에 의해 보와 지지부재에 접합된다. 본 연구에서는 비보강받침접합의 용접강도에 대한 실용적인 설계절차와 함께 용접부의 편심계산시 탄성벡터법(EVM)과 순간회전중심법(ICM)으로 소요지압길이에 근거한 설계도표를 제안하였다. 또한 제안한 설계방법에 의한 용접강도를 AISC와 KBC기준에 따라 비교하였다.

2차원 레이다 간섭계에서 각도 추정 알고리즘의 각도 모호성 해소 성능 비교 (Performance Comparison to Solve Angle Ambiguity Needed to Angle of Arrival Estimation in 2D Radar Interferometer)

  • 2차원 레이다 간섭계에서 표적의 공간 도달 각도를 추정하는 방법 중에서 1차원 알고리즘과 디지털 빔 포밍알고리즘, 위상차의 최소 자승 오차 알고리즘들의 각도 모호성 해소 성능을 비교한다. 위상 비교 모노 펄스 알고리즘의 경우, 2차원 레이다 간섭계에 적용하기 위해 방위각 방향과 고각 방향으로 각각 적용하였다. 성능 비교를 위해 Monte carlo 시뮬레이션 방법을 이용하여 2차원 레이다 간섭계에서 각도 추정 알고리즘 별 각도 모호성 해소 확률과 수행 시간을 비교하였다. 각도 모호성 해소 확률과 수행 시간을 고려할 때 위 여러 방법 중에서 위상 비교 모노 펄스 알고리즘이 실시간 신호 처리 분야에 가장 효율적임을 보여준다.
