Base shear and roof drift relation was acquired from experiment of 3 story ordinary moment resisting frame which was designed using gravity loads. To evaluate the dynamic behavior of the frame, analytical model was generated from experimental result. Dynamic analysis was performed using the analytical model subjected to earthquake ground motions with 500, 1000, and 2400 years of return period. And capacity spectrum method was adopted to find the performance points of the frame. Both dynamic analysis and CSM showed that the performance of the frame meet the life safety objectives suggested by FEMA 273 and ATC 40.

The lateral deformation of one row pile groups was investigated based on analytical study and a numerical analysis. The emphasis was on quantifing the load transfer of pile groups subjected to lateral soil movement. An analytical method to consider pile-soil interaction in weathered soil was developed using load-transfer curve methods. Through the comparative study, it is found that the prediction by present approach is in good agreement with the general trend observed by in-situ measurements.

An analytical and experimental modal analysis is carried out upon a crankshaft of a four cylinder internal combustion engine for studying dynamic characteristics of the shaft. Influence coefficient method is adopted in modelling the object and the calculated dynamic properties are directly compared with the experimentally obtained torsional and bending natural frequencies and mode shapes. It is found that the test results are well agree with the outputs from analytical model especially in low harmonics.

The analytical model of an engine mount system with six degrees of freedom is identified using the modal parameters obtained from the experimental modal analysis. The structural parameters, mass moment of inertia of the engine block and stiffness of the rubber mounts, of the engine mount system are determined by using the condition that the estimated model parameters should satisfy the corresponding eigenvalue problem. The simulated modal parameters of the identified analytical model are in good agreement with the measured modal parameters.

This paper presents a 'mixed' method for performing the sensitivity analysis for multibody dynamics. The mixed method uses both the analytical derivation and the numerical evaluation, in which premitive derivations rely on the analytical process and their associated individual terms are evaluated by the numerical precess. Therefore, this method can eliminate difficulty in dervation of the direct differentiation. Furthermore, by using the joint coordinate formulation for the equations of motion, compulational efficiencyand numerical accuracy are achieved.

The homotopy analysis method (HAM) has been applied to develop an analytic solution for the coupled radiation-convection dissipative non-gray gas flow in a non-Darcy porous medium. Results are presented for the surface shear and temperature profiles are presented to illustrate the effect of various parameters appearing in the analytical formulation. The accuracy and convergence of the method is also discussed.

This paper presents the analytical investigation pertaining to the local buckling behavior of orthotropic open section thin-walled compression members with asymmetric edge stiffeners. In the analysis, 3 different cases of the second moment of inertia are considered to find the asymmetric edge stiffener effect on the local buckling strength. The analytical study results are presented in the graphical form so that the edge stiffener effects on the local buckling strength can be easily found.

By using surface modified activated alumina with AI(III) and flame atomic absorption spectrometry, a rapid and convenient method for the selective analysis of chromium (III) and chromium (VI) in water has been developed. This technique appears to work accurately under optimum pH range from 3 to 5.

The $^2H$ NMR analysis was used to determine the relative deuterium contents at the position of methyl and methylene in ethyl alcohols. Four different liquors manufactured in Korea clearly showed different R values from those of foreign liquors. These R values for the Korean liquors could be used to distinguish adulteration.

This paper deals with characteristic analysis of a slotless PM linear motor using analytical method. In order to calculate voltage equations, back-EMF waveform and winding inductance are caculated by PM's magnetic field and winding's magnetic field respectively.
