친환경농산물가공식품 소비의향 수준별 지불의향금액 분석 (An Analysis of the Amount of Willingness to Pay for Environment-friendly Agricultural Processed Foods by the Level of Consumption Intention)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the amount of willingness to pay for environment-friendly agricultural processed foods by the level of consumption intention. To accomplish the objective of the study a consumer survey was conducted for quantitative analysis regarding consumption pattern. The ordered-probit selection model, Heckman-type two-stage method was employed for an empirical analysis on determining the amount of willingness to pay. The estimation results showed that in the case of consumers who are to keep their consumption at the present level, those with high quality contentment compared to price, brand contentment, and purchasing chiefly in the special store, have the higher amount of willingness. The estimation results also showed that in the case of consumers who are to increase their consumption, those with high quality contentment compared to price, brand contentment, certificate contentment, and having family members who suffer from diseases such as atopy, cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, have the higher amount of willingness. Therefore For those who are to increase their consumption, enhancement of quality, enhancement of contentment with certificate, promotion are useful to increase the amount of willingness to pay.

  • The present experiment was conducted to investigate the rate of oxygen consumption in relation to the several amino acids in the Mang-Kong frog ,Gallula tornieri VOGT. 1. When the liver tissue was suspended in the Ringer's solution (0.85% NaCl), the amount of oxygen consumption per hour was 0.043$\mu$l/mg , whereas when it was suspended in M/15, pH 5.8 phosphate buffer the oxygen consumption reached 0.93$\mu$l/mg. 2. When 0.5ml of 1% alanine and 0.5ml of 0.5% arginine were used as respiratory material the amount of oxygen consumption increased remarkably, while on the other hand glycine showed little influence on the amount of oxygen consumption. 3. When 0.5ml of 0.1% , 0.5% alanine-arginine mixture, 0.5ml of 0.1% , 0.5% alanine-glycine mixture and 0.5ml of 1 % arginine-glycine were added the oxygen consumption in the liver tissue increased somewhat in comparison to the case in which single amino acid was used. 4. Glycine appeared to have influence on the respiration of the liver tissue but the amount of oxygen consumption increased as the concentration of arginine-glycine mixture increased, whereas the rate of oxygen consumption increased remarkably as alaninie-glycine mixture decreased. It was evidenced that in the combination of alanine-arginine the rate of oxygen consumption increased as the concentration of the mixture decreased and vice versa.

카페인 함유제품의 카페인 함량 및 소비형태에 관한 연구 (Amount of caffeine in caffeine containing products, and the pattern of caffeine consumption)

  • The contents of caffeine in caffeine containing products in Korea, i.e., coffee. tea, cocoa and cola, and the individual pattern of consumption of caffeine containing beverages were studied to know the pattern of caffeine consumption. The correlation in between the amount of caffeine consumption and the obesity were also investigated. In results, the average contents of caffeine in the instant coffee was $31.8\pm4.4mg/g(mean{\pm}SD)$. The amount of caffeine in coffee were $68.2\pm13.0\;mg/cup$ in the vending machine coffee, and $76.6\pm12.1\;mg/cup$ in the coffee shop coffee. Average daily caffeine consumption per person was investigated to be 128mg with the wide range of 26mg-341mg. There was no correlation in the amount of daily caffeine consumption and the obesity.

우리나라 쇠고기 소비 행태 변화에 의한 이산화탄소 배출 변화량 예측 (Prediction of the Carbon Dioxide Emission Change Resulting from the Changes in Bovine Meat Consumption Behavior in Korea)

  • A consumption based study on the carbon dioxide ($CO_2$) emission change due to the changes in the bovine meat consumption behavior in Korea was carried out. It was found that if the consumption of bovine meat be reduced by half, the reduction amount of $CO_2$ emissions be over 0.8 $MtCO_2e$ in all senarios in 2023. This amount is equivalent to over 50% of the greenhouse gases (GHGs) emission reduction target in agriculture and forestry, and fishery, a significant reduction. It was also found that the $CO_2$ emission reduction amount in consumption-based approach was the largest when the consumption of the imported bovine meat be reduced, though the difference was not that large.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze water consumption in each apartment buildings influenced by several factors that are the income level of inhabitants, life style, the area apartments and climate. The automation of sanitary machines or facilities in recently built apartments has caused largely increases in amount of water consumption. Therefore, the design for water supply is very important for the maintenance of the optimum level or pressure of water supply. This study is based on the offer of basic data for improving the quality of water supply and employing the sanitary machines or sanitary facilities by analysis of amount increased of water consumption rapidly. Amount of water consumption data, the change in quality of entropy to the supply water pipe was analyzed and presented to indicate the necessary to basic materials for the design of an optimal water pipe.

우리 나라의 항생제 소비액 추계 연구 (Estimation of the Consumption of Antibiotics in Korea)

  • This study aims to estimate the consumption of antibiotics in Korea and to suggest the further studies. To measure the amount of antibiotics consumption, we referred to the statistic of NFHI(National Federation of Health Insurance) and a private institute of pharmaceutical information(Korea Intercontinental Medical Statistics; IMS Korea). There were 1,563 antibiotics produced in Korea in 1997. The total amount of antibiotics production was 1,197 billion won in 1997. Antibiotics accounted for 17.6% of the total pharmaceutical productions in 1997. Cephalosporins have taken the largest part of antibiotics production since 1992. The estimation using NFHI data showed that the total expenditure of antibiotics used in health facilities was 268 billion won, 608 billion won, 911 billion won in 1990, 1994, 1997 respectively. Tertiary hospitals spent 246 billion won, general hospitals 287 billion won, hospitals 78 billion won, clinics 300 billion won in 1997. The amount of expenditure and the intensity of antibiotics consumption in hospitals have increased more steeply than any other health facilities. The total expenditure of antibiotics consumption in health facilities and pharmacies was 778 billion won when estimated using the data from IMS Korea, and 999 billion won from NFHI. Cephalosporins was the fast growing antibiotics group in all of the market- hospitals, clinics, pharmacies since 1991. To measure the amount and patterns of antibiotics consumption more precisely, a pharmaceutical monitoring or surveillance system is needed.

피스톤 링 팩 및 실린더 보아 마모와 오일소모를 고려한 엔진 내구수명 연구 (A Study on Engine Durability Considering Oil Consumption and Wear of Piston-Ring Pack and Cylinder Bore)

  • Ring, groove and cylinder bore wear may not be a problem in most current automotive engines. However, a small change in ring face, groove geometry and cylinder bore diameter can significantly affect the lubrication characteristics and ring axial motion. This in turn can cause to change inter-ring pressure, blowby and oil consumption in an engine. Therefore, by predicting the wear of piston ring face, ring groove and cylinder bore altogether, the changed ring end gap and the changed volume of gas reservoir can be calculated. Then the excessive oil consumption can be predicted. Being based on the calculation of gas flow amount by the theory of piston ring dynamics and gas flow, and the calculation of oil film thickness and friction force by the analysis of piston ring lubrication, the calculation theory of oil amount through top ring gap into combustion chamber will be set. This is estimated as engine oil consumption. Furthermore, the wear theories of ring, groove and cylinder bore are included. Then the each amount of wear is to be obtained. The changed oil consumption caused by the new end gap and the new volume of oil reservoir around second land, can be calculated at some engine running interval. Meanwhile, the wear amount and oil consumption occurred during engine durability cycle are compared with the calculated values. Next, the calculated amount of oil consumption and wear are compared with the guideline of each part's wear and oil consumption. So, the timing of part repair and engine life cycle can be predicted in advance without performing engine durability test. The wear data of rings, grooves and cylinder bore are obtained from three engines before and after engine durability test. The calculated wear data of each part are turn out to be around the band of averaged test values or a little below.

  • To investigate effect of alcohol consumption characteristics on the body mass index (BMI) and blood pressure (BP), we performed statistical analyses of data from questionnaire survey among adults over 20 years old, using SPSS WIN program. Alcohol consumption characteristics such as frequency of drinking, amount and toxic degree of alcohol didn't show a significant correlation with BP. Amount of alcohol consumption and BMI showed a positive correlation (r=.264, p<.01). Waist circumference and BMI had the highest correlations with amount of alcohol consumption, which increased with aging.
