C3 glomerulopathy is a renal disorder involving dysregulation of alternative pathway complement activation. In most instances, a membranoproliferative pattern of glomerular injury with a prevalence of C3 deposition is observed by immunofluorescence microscopy. Dense deposit disease (DDD) and C3 glomerulonephritis (C3GN) are subclasses of C3 glomerulopathy that are distinguishable by electron microscopy. Highly electron-dense transformation of glomerular basement membrane is characteristic of DDD. C3GN should be differentiated from post-infectious glomerulonephritis and other immune complex-mediated glomerulonephritides showing C3 deposits.

Objective: The study was conducted to investigate the dephosphorylation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa flagellin (PA FLA) by sweet potato purple acid phosphatase (PAP) and the effect of the enzyme on the flagellin-mediated inflammatory response in the A549 lung epithelial cell line. Methods: The activity of sweet potato PAP on PA FLA was assayed at different pH (4, 5.5, 7, and 7.5) and temperature (25℃, 37℃, and 55℃) conditions. The release of interleukin-8 (IL-8) and the activation of nuclear factor kappa- light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB) in A549 cells exposed to PA FLA treated with or without sweet potato PAP was measured using IL-8 and NF-κB ELISA kits, respectively. The activation of toll-like receptor 5 (TLR5) in TLR5-overexpressing HEK-293 cells exposed to PA FLA treated with or without sweet potato PAP was determined by the secreted alkaline phosphatase-based assay. Results: The dephosphorylation of PA FLA by sweet potato PAP was favorable at pH 4 and 5.5 and highest at 55℃. PA-FLA treated with the enzyme decreased IL-8 release from A549 cells to about 3.5-fold compared to intact PA FLA at 1,000 ng/mL of substrate. Moreover, PA-FLA dephosphorylated by the enzyme repressed the activation of NF-κB in the cells compared to intact PA FLA. The activation of TLR5 by PA-FLA was highest in TLR-overexpressing HEK293 cells at a substrate concentration of 5,000 ng/mL, whereas PA FLA treated with the enzyme strongly repressed the activation of TLR5. Conclusion: Sweet potato PAP has the potential to be a new alternative agent against the increased antibiotic resistance of P. aeruginosa and may be a new conceptual feed additive to control unwanted inflammatory responses caused by bacterial infections in animal husbandry.

ADR is alternative dispute resolution that includes mediation, adjudication, arbitration, conciliation and ombudsman schemes. ADR may be an alternative to going to court or to a tribunal. The main types of ADR are conciliation, arbitration or mediation and ADR is divided into national leading ADR and private lading ADR and national leading ADR includes court-annexed ADR and administrative ADR. Court-annexed ADR has become a well established feature of the judicial systems on a global basis. The bulk of court-annexed ADR in Glove is by way of mediation. Thus each nation takes part in ADR by court involvement and Enactment of ADR-related Laws. And the involvement of nations have both the regulative character and promotive character in ADR. In addition to the national leading ADR, the private leading ADR also must be activated as United Kingdom. Thus this paper deals with national leading ADR and private leading ADR and the purpose of this paper is to contribute to the activation of ADR by studying the promotion and limited the involvement of nation in ADR and private leading ADR in United Kingdom.

This study intended to suggest Voluntourism as a solution for alternative rural tourism for regional activation. Voluntourism is a form of alternative tourism on values of variety of tourism demand from pleasure to virtue. This study analyzed actual state of WWOOF(World-Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) activities being operated in Korean rural village, one of representative of Voluntourism. Study aimed to explore the possibility of WWOOF activity as one of model of alternative rural tourism. We apply grounded theory method one of qualitative study methods for analysis of WWOOF Activities because WWOOF is still small activity in Korea. In result, we figure out the actual condition of WWOOF Korea activities as a vouluntourism through paradigm model of host and guest who had experience in WWOOF Korea. WWOOF activity is in its early stage so there many tasks. We suggested ideas for improving WWOOF activities to be one of new rural tourism business.

The latest convergence of broadcasting and communication makes the boundary between medias be ambiguous. It pursues the new type of culture that the unspecified many participants seek the satisfaction for the same target in an realtime environment. ARG(Alternative Reality Game) is a new alternate real game created by media convergence and it processes the more realistic interactivity between users through ARS, SMS, BLOG, Cafe and Messages. This paper analyzes the implementation, design, and construction schemes of ARG in the side of the human thinking and media. We also propose the evolution and role of the broadcasting by combining broadcasting for the activation of ARG.

Atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS), a rare form of thrombotic microangiopathy, is distinguished from the typical form by the absence of a preceding verotoxin-producing Escherichia coli infection. Notably, aHUS occurs in association with genetic or acquired disorders causing dysregulation of the alternative complement pathway. Patients with aHUS may show the presence of anti-complement factor H (CFH) autoantibodies. This acquired form of aHUS (antiCFH-aHUS) primarily affects children aged 9-13 years. We report a case of a 13-year-old Lao girl with clinical features of aHUS (most likely anti-CFH-aHUS). The initial presentation of the patient met the classical clinical triad of thrombotic microangiopathy (microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, and acute kidney injury) without preceding diarrheal illness. Low serum levels of complement 3 and normal levels of complement 4 indicated abnormal activation of the alternative complement pathway. Plasma infusion and high-dose corticosteroid therapy resulted in improvement of the renal function and hematological profile, although the patient subsequently died of infectious complications. This is the first case report that describes aHUS (possibly anti-CFH-aHUS) in Laos.

The paper describes the activation mode and the glycosic linkage of anti-complementary polysaccharide isolated from Cinnamomum cassia. The polysaccharide fractions, CC-IIIa, CC-IIIb, and CC-IIIc, activated C3 component existed in normal human serum and produced C3 cleavage segments, C3a and C3b. The polysaccharide, CC-2-IIIa-3 activated the complement system both in the presence and absence of $Ca^{++}$, suggesting that it involved in both classical and alternative complement pathways. Methylation of CC-2-IIIa-3 was performed with methylsulphinyl carbanion and methyl iodide in DMSO. The methylated products was hydrolyzed, then converted into the partially methylated alditol acetates. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS) revealed derivatives of terminal $Glc{\rho}$ and $Gal{\rho}$, 1,2-linked $Rha{\rho}$, 1,6-linked $Man{\rho}$, 1,3-linked $Glc{\rho}$, 1,6-linked $Gal{\rho}$ etc.

There are two methods to resolve conflicts related to constructions which are through lawsuits and ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) just like any other conflicts. Along with the special characteristics pertaining to the conflicts related to constructions, the advantages that ADR is in possession of such as its cost, duration and professionalism, resolving conflicts through ADR has been considered to be more logical than any other options recently. In Korea's case at present, the resolution of conflicts regarding constructions through ADR is mostly dependent on administrative mediation or through arbitration. However, in the case of the administrative mediation, its usage rate is very low due to problems caused by problems in its running and effectiveness. In the case of arbitration, the services of the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board is comparatively used more but because of the fact that arbitration relies on a single trial system and the fact that its executive powers while having the same effectiveness as the final ruling does not get acknowledged leads to the phenomena of avoiding its usage. In addition, in relation to the selective arbitration clause, the problem of effectiveness of the arbitrative agreement is becoming a hindrance to the activation and promotion of the arbitration process. Furthermore, in the case where the ordering body is the government, the public servant involved in the case avoiding the arbitration process because of concerns of being penalized by the internal and external audit within the institution is becoming a problem as well. These problems are not only limited to conflicts regarding constructions and there needs to be actions taken to promote the activation of ADR by enacting a basic law. The more important issue at hand however is offering a resolution measure that would be the most appropriate for users and this could probably be done only through actions such as implementing the American partnering system or the dispute adjudication board system so that they can supervise the resolution of conflicts through mediation, arbitration, and assistance as well as offering consultations regarding conflicts related to constructions.

Cirsium japonicum (CJ) leaf (L) alcoholic extracts were investigated for analysis their active components (flavonoids and flavanolignans; silymarins) and inhibitory effect on transforming growth factor (TGF)-${\beta}$ induced hepatic stellate cells (HSCs, LX-2 cells) activation. The CJ root (R) extracts were also analyzed and compared with leaf extracts. Total flavonoid and polyphenol contents of the leaf extracts showed higher than those of the root extracts. The content of each flavonoid compound, which was analyzed by HPLC, in CJ-L extracts was also higher than in CJ-R extracts. The results of flavanolignans content in CJ-L and CJ-R extracts were consistent in flavonoid and polyphenol. We studied inhibitory effect of two extracts against TGF-${\beta}1$ induced HSCs activation. The CJ-L extracts significantly suppressed overexpression of profibrogenic factor, ${\alpha}$-smooth muscle actin and collagen-${\alpha}1$(I). The CJ-R extract also showed inhibitory effect on TGF-${\beta}1$ induced HSCs activation, but the efficacy was lower than in CJ-L extract. These results suggest that CJ-L may contribute to the fibrotic liver treatment.
