  • The design procedure for centrifugal blower with high inlet resistance is not presented yet. Overall fluid dynamic performance is estimated for comparison between the case of atmospheric inlet condition and the present model. Detail information between blades is prepared by using a commercial program, SCRYU-Tetra. A centrifugal blower with large inlet pressure is adopted in an air purifier having filtering devices. As the inlet residence increases the flow rate of the system is decreased. In parallel, outlet area of the system affects the performance of the system in the sense of flow balance. Consequently, the flow balance between the inlet and outlet becomes an important parameter for the design of the scroll casing for the centrifugal blower with high inlet pressure.

A Development of Polyester-based Non-woven Fabric Filter for Air Purifier Treated with Self-actuated Photocatalyst

  • We studied the photocatalytic functionality such as deodorant, antibacterial, fine dust collection efficiency of polyester-based non-woven fabric filter treated with self-actuated photocatalyst. According to UV/visible result, the UV-visible peak of visible-light responsive photocatalyst was found to be red shift at 420 nm sensitive in the visible light region. The deodorizing performance was shown to be reduced more than 80% even without dark conditions. Fine dust particles collection efficiency was shown to be excellent at the size of not only $2.5{\mu}m{\sim}10.0{\mu}m$ but also less than $2.5{\mu}m$. Also antimicrobial and antifungus was shown to be reduced more than 99.9%.

  • 공기청정기 산업은 중국의 급속한 산업화로 인하여 대기오염이 증가되는 2010년 이후부터 중국 시장에서 빠르게 성장하고 있다. 중국 시장에서 소비자들의 요구가 다양해짐에 따라서 소비자가 원하는 공기청정기의 디자인이 무엇인지에 따른 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구로 중국에서 판매되고 있는 대표적인 공기청정기 제품의 디자인을 조형성, 심미성, 기능성에 대해 분석한 결과, 형태는 사각형과 원통형의 단순하며 시각적 균형감이 있어야 하고 색채는 무채색으로 제품의 안정감과 고급스러움이 있고 공기를 정화하는 기능뿐만 아니라 가습, 살균, 음악 등 다양한 기능이 있어야 함을 알 수 있었다.

  • This study was performed to develop the lifting pallets for the application of smart skin system when remodeling the balcony of apartment house. For this purpose, the smart skin system based on IoT, combining window, BIPV, ESS, air purifier applied in this study was examined. The study developed and presented a foldable double pallet considering the load (about 2Ton) and specification (width 7m × height 2.6m × width 1.3m) of the smart skin system. In future research, it is necessary to verify the application of the foldable pallet in this study.

  • 공기청정기는 필터 크기에 따라 공기를 정화할 수 있는 표준 사용 면적이 존재하기 때문에 넓은 공간에서 사용할수록 부피가 큰 공기청정기를 사용해야 하는 불편함이 존재한다. 이 문제점을 해결하기 위해 스마트 자율주행 공기청정기를 개발하였다. 본 논문에서는 소형 공기청정기에 자율 주행 기능을 추가하여 간편한 조작만으로 여러 공간의 공기질 파악과 정화가 가능하도록 구현하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 주거지역에서 철도 운행으로 발생하는 소음, 진동, 미세먼지가 거주민들에게 입히는 피해를 최소화 하기 위해 소음, 진동, 미세먼지의 수치 위험도 기준을 정하고, 아두이노 센서와 모듈로 스마트 창문 및 공기 청정기를 제작한다. 센서를 통해 수집한 데이터가 기준치를 초과할 경우 창문의 개폐 또는 공기 청정기 시스템이 작동을 하도록 구현하여 소음, 진동, 미세먼지 피해를 최소화 하도록 구현하였다.

  • This study shows an air-purification test by the UV lamp on which TiO2 catalyst is deposited with glass fiber in the reactor chamber. This test was based on the fundamental data of air-purifier as assessing a removing ability on various contaminants such as CH3COOH, NH3, NO and SO2 as variation of the TiO2 coating, the wave of UV lamp, and the additive CaO. As a result, the highest decomposing removal ratio was shown when 5-times coated glass fiber was used. It can be due to the recombination reaction of electrons and electron-hole in the loaded CaO. Thus, the decomposing removal ratio increased as the recombination ratio decreased. In addition, it was confirmed that the decomposing removal ratio lowered when CaO was considerably deposited because it hided the lamp of OH-1 radical.

  • This study tested the effect on the toxicity of formaldehyde to select a shelter site due to formaldehyde leakage. As a result of the experiment, the range of ERPG-2 and 3 is between 2.2km and 9.6km, ASET is 6 minutes at 1km, 15 minutes at 3km, 22 minutes at 5km, and the lethality rate is 99.9% at 1km and 9% at 3km. In areas where refuge time is less than 15 minutes or the lethality rate is more than 2%, a shelter is installed. This is because if there are only a few evacuees, the evacuation time may take longer than the pre-movement time of 15 minutes or less specified in PD 7974-6:2004, and the lethality rate with the lowest number of deaths was calculated to be 2%. The shelter must be equipped with a hepa-filter, positive pressure equipment, air purifier, air respirator, goggles, chemical protective clothing type 4 and sufficient parking space must be secured to ensure the safety of evacuees.
