In this paper, the behaviour of composite steel-CFRP members is studied experimentally and using FE-analysis. The use of advance composite materials in construction for repair and rehabilitation has become a frequent used method in the last decade. FRP composites have many advantages over the traditional technique of steel bonding for a number of reasons: 1. Composites add little or no additional weight to a building, eliminating the need for costly foundation strengthening. 2. FRP composites are very thin (1.2mm to 1.4mm). So there is no loss of floor space and negligible effect over the architectural aspect. 3. FRP composites do not corrode, this makes it long lasting. However, the method is yet to become a mainstream application due to a number of economical and design related issues. Brittle debonding failure, aging effect on bonding, broad based awareness and proper design guidelines are the main concern for future research works. This paper is focused on the ultimate load carrying capacity of the CFRP-strengthened beams and their effect on the deflection and failures modes by varying the amount of CFRP content.
Objectives : In this study, the awareness of hospice and the perceptions on the need for visiting palliative care and what constitutes a good death of the citizens of Busan were investigated. Second, Hospice palliative care should be provided to the community. Third, the older the patient is, the more palliative care visits are necessary. Fourth, 40s and 50s must make preparations for hospice palliative care in their future.

This study will contribute the development of oral health promotion programs for the elderly people. Methods : Subjects were 172 elderly people recruited from 217 senior citizens visiting public oral health care services in 16 districts in Busan. They completed self-Corresponding Author reported questionnaires. Results : Elderly people had less remaining natural teeth (p<0.001). The remaining natural teeth ($15.07{\pm}8.75$) of the health insurance beneficiary were majority than those of the medicaid ($8.78{\pm}8.45$)(p<0.001). The respondents with better oral health condition had more remaining natural teeth (r=0.317, p<0.001), and those who were more worried about oral health had less remaining natural teeth (r=-0.599, p<0.001). Aging accelerates loss of natural teeth (p<0.001) of 3.203. Approximately 2.188 remaining teeth will be preserved by oral health care improvement (p=0.009). Conclusions : Frequent dental clinic visit will prevent natural teeth loss in the elderly people. Toothbrushing is the most efficient method of oral health care in the elderly people. Awareness towards oral health care is the motivation to preserve natural teeth in the elderly people.

Purpose - This study aims to explore women's beauty industry market and growth development by identifying the main factors of women's perception of skin health care. Research design, data, and methodology - The survey was conducted on women aged 20 to 60 living in Seoul. For the statistical analysis, frequency analysis, t-test and one-way ANOVA were conducted, and significant differences in p<0.05 were tested through the multiple range test of the Scheffe. The factor analysis was conducted to verify the validity of questions, and the reliability was determined by the coefficient of Cronbach's α. Results - The lower the age, the higher the perception of the skin, and women pay a higher price for skin health as a provisional customer. 'Acne care' was the most common skin condition (32.8%), 'life style' (79.8%) was the most important part of skin care. Final education was the highest level of skin care for women with a professional background (M=3.41) (F=4.028, p<.05). Many sanitation control problems due to aging facilities and equipment were identified when applying an HACCP system to a flatfish (Paralichthys olivaceus) aquaculture farm. Specifically, the major problems included a lack of awareness about worker hygiene, lack of management of the use of fish medicines, and vulnerability to secondary contamination by cross-contamination owing to a failure to separate breeding tools used for healthy and unhealthy fish. Therefore, the management standards on the farm regarding the surrounding environment, facilities and equipment, breeding tools, feed and medication, and the hygiene of practitioners must be improved. The hygiene management standards were divided into different procedures such as the management of farm hygiene and environmental sanitation, facilities and equipment, fish hygiene, feed, medications, water, and the stocking and shipping of fish. For each procedure, we established the management standards, inspection period, inspection procedures, and how to deal with errors that occur, to enable hygiene management by a small number of managers. Additionally, an inspection system and record form to implement an HACCP system were developed to maintain systematic management. The management and inspection of all aspects of the farm were designed to be easily managed by the supervisor.

As Korea has rapidly entered the aging society, the Korean government and academia are currently undergoing many researches on senior citizens. There also has been an increase in senior citizens' awareness on the importance of spatial designs that reflect the newly emerged needs brought out by their psychological and emotional changes as well as their physical aspects. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to propose a model for senior citizens' image preference to be adopted in future developments for senior-friendly spatial designs. A literature review and a questionnaire survey were implemented as research methods. The questionnaire survey was conducted at two senior welfare centers located in Seoul and Ansan and two disparate senior colleges, on the subjects of 86 senior citizens aged 60 and older. 7 styles of Romantic, Classic, Country, Modern, Natural, Casual, and Traditional were chosen for the study and the realms to apply the image preference were divided into Space, Element1 and Element2. For Space, its subcategories have been restricted to living room and bedroom while color, furniture and lighting for Element1 and material, pattern and props for Element2. Survey results were statistically analyzed for the correlation among socio-demographic factors of senior citizens, spaces and the elements. The study result showed that older age and men tended to prefer the modern style than younger age or women, and younger women preferred the romantic style. For the color preference in Element1, older men preferred the classic style while women preferred the romantic style. And, for the furniture preference, men with higher income preferred the natural style while women preferred the romantic style. For the pattern preference in Element2, younger people preferred the casual style and it showed that the housing type was the main reason for their preferences. Therefore, the image preference according to their age and gender shall be taken account of as the most important factors when designing environments for senior citizens.
