Efficient Migration of Service Agent in P-Grid Environments based-on Mobile Agent (이동에이전트 기반의 P-그리드 환경에서 서비스 에이전트의 효율적인 이주기법)

  • This paper describes the efficient peer-to-peer migration method of Grid service agent on the mobile agent based P-Grid. The migration mechanism for transmitting service agent upon the service request is based on the peer's logic network topology. The network topologies that this system uses are organized as star topology, ring topology and tree topology, and agents are migrated by the master/slave method and serial/parallel method. The migration method of services is chosen based on the execution range and characteristic of the requested service. Also, the entire execution time of service is affected by the performance of peer that is a part of network topology, and the migration order, Therefore, the system monitors the performance of peers, and determines the migration priority based on analyzing and learning history. The system can reduce service execution time efficiently with decisions of migration method for service agent and priority of peers.

  • Intelligent Robots (IR) get data of the current situation from sensors and perform knowledgeable services. Self-reconfiguration of IR is an important factor to change itself without stopping while supporting environment and technology change. In this paper, we propose an agent based self-reconfiguration framework of IR using ESB (Enterprise Service Bus). This framework focuses on dynamic discovery and reconfiguration of service-oriented applications using multi-agent system in intelligent robots. When IR meets an irresolvable situation it downloads a necessary service agent from an external service repository, executes the agent, and resolves the situation. Agent technology provides an intelligent approach for collaborations of IR. The prototype has also been implemented to show the validity of our study.

Effects of Emoticons on Intention to Use in Online Financial Counseling Service: Moderating Roles of Agent Type and Subjective Financial Knowledge (온라인 금융 상담 서비스에서 이모티콘 사용이 서비스 사용의도에 미치는 영향: 상담원 유형과 주관적 금융지식의 조절 효과)

  • Online financial counseling services are increasingly expanding with the rise of artificial intelligence-based chatbots. It is very important to examine the effects of emoticons noted as alternatives for communicating emotions in online communication between consumers and companies. In this paper, we examine how the use of emoticons affects the consumer's response and investigate the moderating roles of type of counseling agents (human vs. chatbot) and the consumer's subjective financial knowledge. The results show that the use of emoticon in the conversation brings a positive effect on the consumer's intention to use of online chat counseling service. When participants had relatively low subjective financial knowledge, they had higher intention to use online chat counseling services with emoticons only when the agent type was chatbot. When the type of counseling agent was human, this positive effect of the emoticon did not occur. On the other hand, when participants had relatively high subjective financial knowledge, they had higher intention to use online chat counseling service with emoticons only when the agent type was human. This study contributes to providing practical implications to build online chat counseling service using chatbot in the financial industry by studying users' intention depending on the type of agents and the level of their subjective knowledge.

  • Recently, high-speed internet subscribers have grown continuously, and reached up to 10 millions. But existing network management that is responsible only for user access is confronted with many difficulties, since user access network(xDSL, Cable, B-WILL, and so on) has diversified and value added wired/wireless contents service has developed. In this paper propose the Agent based Inter Networking platform as object-oriented hierarchical system that can provide various service such as access QoS(Quality of Service), customized application service and security service according to user on demand. This system has divided into two parts(user agent and agent management system & local and central management systems). Management system periodically receive status information such as bandwidth, download speed, delay, current service, and so on, and process them, then build a policy based on processed information. According to personal user profile that is generated by this policy, the customized service can be provided for users. And This system adopt the object-oriented modeling in case that system migration and integration, and implement a system that is robust and stable for security through hierarchical server system.

  • Service discovery protocols is software components to find specific services or resources on network. The SLP defined by IETF protocol is a framework for automatic service discovery on IP based networks. Automatic service discovery is an important component on ubiquitous computing environment. This paper proposes a service discovery architecture named as SLPA(Service Location Protocol based on AMAAM). AMAAM(Mobility Agent Advertisement Mechanism) is an aggregation-based Mobile IP implementation in MANET. In SLPA, the role of the directory agent is assigned to the mobility agent in AMAAM. The mobility agent periodically beacons an advertisement message which contains both the advertisement of the directory agent in SLP and the advertisement of the mobility agent in Mobile IP. For evaluating the functional correctness of SLPA and the overhead of maintaining a service directory of SLPA. We simulate SLPA using ns-2 and analyze the overhead of control overheads for the aggregation. Through the simulation experiments we show the functional correctness of the proposed architecture and analyze the performance results.

  • In this paper, we suggest the Agent System for management and service of science and technology information that performs the collection, analyzing, processing and managing the information. Generally, any system can process the collection and service the information as usual method, but that mean can't be clear because of the data process method on different systems of hardware and software. So, it's very important point that the design and development of S&T information flow framework that can accept the various data, and we expect that the agent system adapted in framework guarantee the reduction of man power and process time and the enlarged system. Agent System consists of five multi agents, Resource Format Register Agent, Data Collector Agent, Data Analyzer Agent, Data Processor Agent and MetaDB Creator Agent. We describe the main roles and elements of agent systems.

Development of Human Sensibility Based Web Agent for On-line Recommendation Service (온라인 추천 서비스를 위한 감성 기반 웹 에이전트 개발)

  • In recent years, with the advent of e-Commerce the need for personalized services and one-to-one marketing has been emphasized. To be successful in increasingly competitive Internet marketplace, it is essential to capture customer loyalty. In this paper, we provide an intelligent agent approach to incorporate human sensibility into an one-to-one recommendation service in cyber shopping mall. Our system exploits human sensibility ergonomics and on-line preference matching technologies to tailor to the customer the suggestion of goods and the description of store catalog. Customizing the system`s behavior requires the parallel execution of several tasks during the interaction (e. g., identifying the customer`s emotional preference and dynamically generating the pages of the store catalog). The recommendation agent system composed of five modules including specialized agents carries on these tasks. By presenting goods that are consistent with user interests as well as user sensibility, the accuracy and satisfaction of the recommendation service may be improved.

  • It is being continued that studies is to supply users with various web service easily and simply. XML, extensible mark up language for web has been developed, and WSDL is provided for web service to UDDI registry in order to more efficient usage. SOAP protocol can be used for firewall endpoint because it uses HTTP as transfer mechanism. In this paper, we are studied dealing with installing agent in marketplace and communicating among service supplier and UDDI. Then agent through SOAP to provide exact and prompt service to demands of users.

  • The user-centric broadcasting environment includes the agent system and personalized broadcasting services for user-adaptive TV watching. In this paper, we propose broadcasting environment consisting of personalized broadcasting services and a multi-agent broadcasting system for the services. The proposed system employs the intelligent agent technology of the Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents (FIPA) as well as metadata technology of MPEG-7 and TV-Anytime Forum (TVAF). To verify the usefulness of the proposed environment, we implemented a test-bed and demonstrated the proposed agent system with three services including intelligent user-information management service, information mobility service, and content retrieval service.

  • This paper presents benefits of multi-agent system approach and its application to the distribution automation system. Special attention is devoted to the description of hardware and communication platform used to upgrade the conventional distribution automation system structure. Service restoration of primary distribution system is selected as an example of the multi-agent system application. Application of the algorithm for multi-agent based service restoration technique is disclosed in detail. Real field test in Gochang test center of KEPCO has been performed to establish the feasibility of proposed technique.
