Capillary-GC(FID)에 의한 panaxynol, panaxydol 및 panaxytriol의 정량 (Determination of the Concentration of Panaxynol, Panaxydol and Panaxytrio1 by Capillary-GC(FID))

  • 인삼의 주요 polyacetylens 화합물인 panaxynol, panaxydol 및 panaxytriol의 정량을 위한 GC 분석조건을 확립하였다. 이 때, GC column과 검출기는 SPB-1 fused silica capillary(0.25 mm i, d. $\times$30m, Supelco)와 불꽃이온화검출기(FID)를 사용하였으며 column oven의 온도는 $250^{\circ}C$ 등온이었다. Panaxynol, panaxydol 및 panaxytriol peaks의 retention time은 TMS 유도체화 전의 경우에는 각각 4.2, 5.1 및 6.9분이었으며 TMS유도체화 후에는 각각 4.5, 5.4 및 7.4 분이었다. TMS 유도체화 전의 panaxynol, panaxydol 및 panaxytriol의 정량가능 최소농도는 각각 20, 50 및 100ppm 이었던 데에 비하여, TMS 유도체화 후에는 세 화합물의 정량가능 최소농도가 모두 5ppm의 낮은 수준을 나타내었다. 한편, 홍삼 중의 panaxynol, panaxydol 및 panaxytriol 함량 분석값은 각각 724, 721 과 71$\mu\textrm{g}$/g이었다.

Performance Analysis of an Inert Gas Generator for Fire Extinguishing

  • Present study deals with performance analysis of an inert gas generator (IGG) which is to be used as an effective mean to suppress the fire. The IGG uses a turbo jet cycle gas turbine engine to generate inert gas for fire extinguishing. It is generally known that a lesser degree of oxygen content in the product of combustion will increase the effectiveness of fire suppressing. An inert gas generator system with water injection will bring advantages of suffocating and cooling effects which are considered as vital factors for fire extinguishing. As the inert gas is injected to the burning site, it lowers the oxygen content of the air surrounding the flame as well as reduces the temperature around the fire as the vapour in the inert gas evaporates during the time of spreading. Some important aspects of influencing parameters, such as, air excess coefficient. $\alpha$, compressor pressure ratio, $ pi_c$, air temperature before combustion chamber, $T_2$, gas temperature after combustion chamber, $T_3$, mass flow rate of water injection, $M_w$, etc., on the performance of IGG system are investigated. Calculations of total amount of water needed to reduce the turbine exit temperature to pre-set nozzle exit temperature employing a heat exchanger were made to compare the economics of the system. A heat exchanger with two step cooling by water and steam is considered to be better than water cooling only. Computer programs were developed to perform the cycle analysis of the IGG system and heat exchanger considered in the present study.

  • The direct injection(DI) diesel engine has become a prime candidate for future transportation needs because of its high thermal efficiency. However, nitrogen oxides(NOx) increase in the local high temperature regions and particulate matter (PM) increases in the diffusion flame region within diesel combustion. Therefore, the demand for developing a suitable after treatment device has been increased. NOx absorbing catalysts are based on the concept of NOx storage and release making it possible to reduce NOx emission in net oxidizing gas conditions. This De-NOx system, called the LNT(Lean NOx Trap) catalyst, absorbs NOx in lean exhaust gas conditions and release it in rich conditions. This technology can give high NOx conversion efficiency, but the right amount of reducing agent should be supplied into the catalytic converter at the right time. In this research, a performance characteristics of LNT with a hydrogen enriched gas as a reductant was examined and strategies of controlling the injection and rich exhaust gas condition were studied. The NOx reduction efficiency is closely connected to the injection timing and duration of reductant. LNT can reduce NOx efficiently with only 1 % fuel penalty.

진공관형 태양열 집열기의 구리-유리 직접 접합 기술 (Technique of Direct Copper to Glass Seal in an Evacuated Tube Solar Collector)

  • The sealing technique between a glass tube and a copper heat pipe in an evacuated tube solar collector is studied. In this study two different sealing techniques, such as flame method and furnace firing, are examined. After the sealing of a copper to a glass, the oxidation state of the copper and its bonding morphology were examined by SEM and XRD. Its oxidation was retarded by coating of borate solution on the copper, and $Cu_2O(cuprite)$ turned into CuO(tenorite) with increase in a firing temperature and firing time. Porous structure was found in the oxide layer when CuO formed. The best sealing morphology was observed when the thickness of the oxidation layer was less than $20{\mu}m$. The sealing technique performed in a furnace was promising and the satisfactory result was obtained when the sample was fired at $950^{\circ}C$ for 5 min under $N_2$ atmosphere. Annealing procedure is recommended to remove the stress left at the bonding zone.

고효율의 아그로박테리움 형질전환법을 이용한 제초제저항성 나리 식물체 개발 (High-efficiency development of herbicide-resistant transgenic lilies via an Agrobacterium-mediated transformation system)

  • 35S cauliflower mosaic virus 프로모터의 조절을 받고 인트론이 포함된 β-Glucuronidase (gus) gene과 35S cauliflower mosaic virus (enhanced) 프로모터의 조절을 받는 blpR유전자가 있는 pCAMBIA3301 벡터가 포함된 AGL-1 균주를 사용하였다. 아그로박테리움을 이용한 형질전환 체계와 PPT (D-L-phosphinothricin) 선발을 통하여 나리 인편조직으로부터 형질전환 식물체가 획득되었다. 본 연구에서 나리 레드플레임'품종의 인편조직에 선발 및 목적유전자로 바스타 제초제저항성 유전자인 blpR 유전자를 도입하였다. 상기 실험 결과, 20분의 접종시간과 5일간의 아그로박테리움과의 공동배양이 100개의 접종된 인편개체에서 각각 24, 27개의 높은 PPT 저항성 개체가 관찰되었고 신초까지 형성된 인편을 19.6 및 22.7개를 생산하는 우수한 형질전환 결과를 보여주었다. 이렇게 제초제를 이용하여 선발되었을 뿐만 아니라 도입된 reporter 유전자인 gus도 발현되었음을 확인하였고 선발유전자이자 목적유전자인 blpR 유전자도 PCR 검정을 통해 도입되었음을 확인하였다. 12주 이상의 선발과정을 거치고 gus 및 PCR 검정을 거친 형질전환 개체들은 발근 배지를 거쳐 순화 후 화분으로 이식하여 높은 활착율을 보여주었다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서 확립한 프로토콜을 이용하면 평균 20% 이상의 형질전환 효율을 나타내고 본 연구에 기술된 아그로박테리움 매개 형질전환 체계에 향후 보완이 필요하지만, 우수 품종개발을 위한 나리 육종 프로그램에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

건축용 목재의 연소시 지구온난화 가스의 배출특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Emission Properties of Green House Gas on Duration Combustion of Constructive Wood Materials)

  • MDF목재에 처리제 즉, 방화락카, 수용성방염코트, 수용성우드커버 등을 MDF표면에 처리하여 연소시 열분해특성과 대기 유해가스 발생 특성을 대용량열분석기를 활용하여 실험한 결과 순수 MDF목재에 방화락카를 질량비로 0.11/11.55g을 처리한 후 열분해 및 연소가스 발생 특성을 살펴본 결과 방화락카를 처리한 경우 순수 MDF보다 연소시작시간이 다소 길어지고 연소온도가 약$340^{\circ}C$에서 $450^{\circ}C$로 올라가는 현상을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 수성방염코트를 처리한 MDF목재(PA2)의 열분해 및 연소가스발생 특성은 시료의 질량 비 0.13/11g에서 연소시작 시간과 온도가 약 26분 $260^{\circ}C$에서 약54분 $612^{\circ}C$로 변화를 보였다. 또한 상업적으로 판매되고 있는 수용성우드커버를 MDF에 0.13/11.55g을 처리하여 연소하였을 경우 급격한 중량변화는 $300^{\circ}C$에서 $370^{\circ}C$로 높아지는 경향을 보였고 약$500^{\circ}C$에서 2차 변화가 나타났다.

다양한 레이저 접합 공정 조건에 따른 Sn-57Bi-1Ag 솔더 접합부의 계면 및 기계적 특성 (Interfacial and Mechanical Properties of Sn-57Bi-1Ag Solder Joint with Various Conditions of a Laser Bonding Process)

  • 본 연구에서는 레이저 접합 공정을 이용하여 flame retardant-4 (FR-4) 인쇄회로기판 (printed circuit board, PCB)의 organic solderability preservative (OSP) 표면처리 된 Cu pad와 전자부품을 Sn-57Bi-1Ag 저온 솔더 페이스트로 접합을 한 후 접합부의 계면 특성과 기계적 특성에 대하여 보고 하였다. 레이저 접합 공정은 레이저 파워 및 시간 등을 다르게 진행하여 접합 공정 조건이 접합부의 계면 및 기계적 특성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 레이저 접합 공정의 산업적 적용을 위하여 산업적으로 많이 이용되고 있는 리플로우 접합 공정을 이용한 접합부의 특성과도 비교 하였다. 레이저 접합 공정 적용 결과 2, 3 s의 짧은 공정 시간에도 계면에 Cu6Sn5 금속간화합물 (intermetallic compound, IMC)를 생성하여 접합부를 안정적으로 형성함을 확인 하였다. 또한, 리플로우 공정과 비교해 보았을 때 레이저 접합 공정을 적용할 경우 접합부의 보이드 형성이 억제됨을 확인할 수 있었으며 접합부의 전단강도도 리플로우 공정 접합부보다 높은 기계적 강도를 나타냈다. 따라서, 레이저 접합 공정을 적용할 경우 짧은 접합 공정 시간에도 불구하고 안정적인 접합부 형성 및 높은 기계적 강도를 확보할 수 있는 것으로 기대된다.

직독식 측정기 PID와 능동식 시료채취기에 의한 GC-FID 정량분석법의 VOCs 농도 비교 연구 (Comparative Analysis between Direct-reading Meter of PID and GC-FID using the Active Type Air Sampler for VOCs Measurement)

  • Objectives: Direct-reading instrument(Photoionization detectors, PID) and quantitative analysis using active type air sampling (Gas chromatography-flame ionization detector, GC-FID) were tested to evaluate their ability to detect volatile organic compounds(VOCs) in a semiconductor manufacturing plant. Methods: The organic compounds used were acetone and ethanol which are normally used as cleaning solutions in the semiconductor manufacturing. The evaluation was based on the preparation of test solutions of known acetone and ethanol concentration in a chamber($600{\times}600{\times}1150mm$). Samples were prepared that would be equivalent to 5~100 ppm for acetone and 10~ 200 ppm ethanol. GC-FID and PID were evaluated simultaneously. Quantitative analysis was performed after sampling and the direct-reading instrument was checked using real-time data logging. Results: Positive correlations between PID and GC-FID were found for acetone and ethanol at 0.04~2.4% for acetone(TLV: 500 ppm) and 0.1~8.3% for ethanol(TLV: 1000 ppm). When the sampling time was 15 min, concentration of test solution was the most similar between measurement methods. However, the longer the sampling time, the less similar the results. PID and GC-FID had similar exposure patterns. Conclusions: The results indicate that PID and GC-FID have similar exposure pattern and positive correlation for detection of acetone and ethanol. Therefore, PID can be used for exposure monitoring for VOCs in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. This study has significance in that it validates measuring occupational exposure using a portable device.

  • 이상에서와 같이 lithium치의 측정에 있어서 본 병원에서 기존 이용하던 AAS법이나 ISE법 모두 정밀도나 직선성 평가에 있어 비교적 좋았으나, 정밀도(재현성)에 있어서 ISE법이 AAS법보다 더 우수한 것으로 나왔고 ISE법의 경우 측정방법이 매우 간편하였다. 그러나 ISE법에 의한 혈중 측정치가 AAS법에 의한 것보다 다소 높게 나타났으며, ISE법이 AAS법에 비하여 분석 최하한치가 더 높아 예민도는 상대적으로 낮았다.

서울지역에서의 VOCs 오염원 기여도 추정에 관한 연구 (Estimation of Quantitative Source Contribution of VOCs in Seoul Area)

  • A field study was conducted during the summer time of 2002 to determine compositions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted from vehicles and to develop source emission profiles that is applied to CMB model to estimate the source contribution of certain area. Source emission profile is widely used for the estimation of source contribution by the chemical mass balance model and have to be developed applicable for the target area of estimation. This study was aimed to develop source emission profile and estimation of source contribution of VOCs after application of the chemical mass balance (CMB) receptor model. After considering the emission inventory and other research results for the VOCs in Seoul, Korea, the sources like vehicle emission (tunnel), gas station (gasoline, diesel), solvent usage (painting operation, dry cleaning, graphic art), and gas fuels were selected for the major VOCs sources. Furthermore, ambient air samples were simultaneously collected from 09:00 to 11:00 for four days at eight different official air quality monitoring sites as receptors in Seoul during summer of 2001. Source samples were collected by canisters, and then about seventy volatile organic compounds were analyzed by gas chromatography with flame ionization detector (GC/FID). Based on both the developed source profiles and the database of the receptors, CMB model was intensively applied to estimate mass contribution of VOCs sources. Examining the source profile from the vehicle, the portion of alkanes of VOCs was highest, and then the portion of aromatics such toluene, m/p-xylene were followed. In case of gas fuel. they have their own components; the content of butane, propane, ethane was higher than any other component according to the fuel usage. The average of the source apportionment on VOCs for 8 sites showed that the major sources were vehicle emission and gas fuels. The vehicle emission source was revealed as having the highest contribution with an average of 49.6%, and followed by solvent with 21.3%, gas fuel with 16.1%, gasoline with 13.1%.
