The Communication Styles and Nursing Service Satisfaction of Clinical Research Nurses Perceived by Clinical Subjects (임상시험 대상자가 지각한 임상연구 간호사의 의사소통 유형과 간호서비스 만족도)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to examine the communication styles and nursing service satisfaction of clinical research nurses perceived by clinical subjects. Methods: The data were collected with self-administrated questionnaires after receiving consents from 200 clinical trial subjects. The data were analysed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression analysis using SPSS 21.0 statistic program. Result: Clinical subjects perceived that clinical research nurses used the informative, affective, and non-authoritative communication styles. The study identified factors influencing the nursing service satisfaction, and they were the informative communication styles (${\beta}$=.34, p<.001) and affective communication styles (${\beta}$=.35, p<.001, $R^2$=37%) by multiple linear regression. Conclusion: If educational programs on communication are developed to help clinical research nurses use the informative and affective communication styles according to the characteristics of subjects and applied to the field of practice, they will be able to increase the nursing service satisfaction and contribute to the higher quality of clinical trials.

Path Analytic Modeling of Clinical Nurses' Nursing Performance: Focused on Positive Affective Events (임상간호사의 간호업무성과 모형의 경로분석: 긍정정서사건을 중심으로)

  • The aim of this study is to verify the relationships of factors affecting nursing performance of clinical nurses focused on positive affective events. The subjects of this study were 275 clinical nurses from secondary and tertiary general hospitals. Data collection was conducted for two months from May 2021 through an online survey through snowball sampling. Data analyzed was using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0. The variables affecting job satisfaction included direct effect of positive affective events (β=.65, p<.001), and direct effect of positive affectivity (β=.10, p=.038). Job satisfaction (β=.47, p<.001) had statistically significant direct effects on nursing performance. Positive affective events (β=.32, p=.003) and positive affectivity (β=.05, p=.039) had statistically significant indirect effects on nursing performance. These variables explained for 22% of nursing performance. However, emotional labor had no significant effect on job satisfaction and nursing performance. The results indicate that positive affective events and positive affectivity result in high degree of job satisfaction. Job satisfaction would increase the level of nursing performance. Therefore, in order to improve nursing performance, it is necessary to provide educational opportunities and interventions that can promote positive work environment and positive affectivity.

  • Drawing on literatures from communication strategy and human resource management, this study examines how perceived communication satisfaction can affect turnover intention and also figure out mediating effect through affective commitment. We analyzed a data set from one of the largest government organizations in health and medical treatment including 267 employees's sample. Apart from previous studies, this study emphasizes perceived communication satisfaction is a critical factor rather than communication policies. Also, affective communication partially mediates the relationship between perceived communication satisfaction and turnover intention. Our theory and findings provide new insight into human resource management field in growing Korean organizations.

  • In today's business environment, not only human resources management but work efficiency is getting substantial attention as well. Employees are one of the most significant and valuable resources in an organization who can play a critical role in accomplishing organizational goals and purposes. This study examines the effect of employee job satisfaction(affective and cognitive satisfaction) on job performance. Furthermore, this study examines the moderating effect of leadership type (transactional and servant leadership) between job satisfaction on job performance. As a result, affective and cognitive satisfaction were shown to positively affect employee job performance. Especially, cognitive satisfaction has more influenced on job performance than affective satisfaction. Second, transactional and servant leadership were not shown to affect employee job performance. However, transactional leadership had a moderating effect between job satisfaction on job performance.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of the travel show visitors' cognitive and affective attitude on the psychological and visitor satisfaction and to use as an important data to make marketing strategy and improve a company's outcome. For this study, 240 visitors from Hanatour International Travel Show are selected. And 203 valid questionnaires are analyzed. The first result was that travel show visitors' cognitive attitude have a positive influence on the psychological and visitor satisfaction. The second result was that, travel show visitors' affective attitude have a positive influence on the psychological and visitor satisfaction. As a result, it is needed to recognize that participation attitude is a main cause which has an important influence on visitors' satisfaction. In addition, it is needed to establish strategy about active maketing activity to make visitor satisfaction move to positive activity purpose and to plan travel show which has differentiated items and contents.

Examining the Effect of Cognitive and Affective Images of a Farm Party Venue on Consumer Satisfaction and Revisit Intention (팜파티 농가에 대한 인지적 이미지와 정서적 이미지가 소비자 만족, 재방문 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of cognitive and affective images of a farm party venue on consumer satisfaction and revisit intention with a research model and hypothesis test. First, the cognitive and affective images of a farm party venue had a significant effect on consumer satisfaction in the test and the cognitive image had greater impact on consumer satisfaction than the affective image had. Second, consumer satisfaction had a significant effect on the revisit intention in the test, which indicates that farm party venues are required to find a way to boost the satisfaction of tourists in order to encourage their intentions to revisit. In order to revitalize rural tourism through farm party and raise income in rural areas, it is most important that farm party venue produce images that are differentiated from other farmhouses. In order to activate the farm party for the 6th industry, it will be possible to establish images of the farmers and utilize them in promotional marketing for the promotion of rural tourism. The present study is limited in that it did not collect feedback from farm party operators in action. With this in mind, another study is planned, focusing on those farm party operators.

The Effects of Area-Specific Social Network on Life Satisfaction (영역별 사회연결망이 생활 만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • The present study investigated the effect of area-specific social networks on urban workers life satisfaction. For this, 356 adults over age 20 were interviewed from June 17th 2013 to June 29th 2013. The findings are as follows: First, the closeness of family network index demonstrates that participants with higher affective support have higher life satisfaction. In addition, stronger extended family network brings more life satisfaction and so does a bigger friendship network. Secondly, the extended family network explains 17.6% of the variance in social networks follows by family network, other network, and friendship network, respectively. The closeness variable of social networks yields statistical significance on all categories of networks. The affective support level in the closeness variable of social networks shows differences as well; family network positively associates with life satisfaction. The purposes of this research are to investigate the actual conditions of urban workers' life satisfaction and the influence of family, extended family, friendship, and other variables on life satisfaction. If social networks have an influence on life satisfaction, to find the domain of social networks that holds the most influences on life satisfaction is an important ground in the process of implementing regional welfare.

Factors Influencing Parental Satisfaction of Mothers with Preschool Children (미취학 자녀를 둔 어머니의 부모역할만족도 영향요인)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify degrees of parenting stress, parenting efficacy, parenting behavior and parental satisfaction, and to identify factors influencing parenting satisfaction of mothers who had preschool children. Methods: The research participants were 176 mothers. All of mothers had preschool children, aged 2 to 6 years old, and attended one of 3 day care centers or 2 Kindergartens located in J city. Data were collected by convenience sampling using self-report questionnaires which contained items on general characteristics, parenting stress, parenting efficacy, parenting behavior, and parenting satisfaction. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression. Results: The average level of parenting satisfaction of mothers with preschool children was $5.38{\pm}0.79$. Positive parenting behavior and affective parenting efficacy were verified factors influencing parental satisfaction. These factors accounted for 41.4% of parental satisfaction. Conclusion: The results indicate that positive parenting behavior and affective parenting efficacy have the biggest impact on parental satisfaction. The results of this study provide the basic data for the development of parental education program aimed at improving parental satisfaction of mothers who have preschool children.

Effects of Self-Service Technology Quality on SST Satisfaction and SST Continuance Usage Intention

  • Purpose: According to the growth of technology in the service industry, the interaction service between customer and employee has recently been transformed into between customer and technology by Self Service Technology (SST) requiring direct interaction with customers. In this context, self service technology such as unmanned ordering system installed at the store is actively introduced at the work place to reduce labor costs by food and retail company and the research for self-service technology which is rapidly replacing existing face-to-face service is needed. As the growth speed of SST is rapid, many researchers have studied the characteristics of SST, in every sector of business worldwide. Among the characteristics, attributes, Self Service Technology Quality (SSTQUAL) to evaluate SST is important because it may cause the customer's behavior. Thus, this research focuses on the effects of SSTQUAL on SST Satisfaction and SST continuance usage intention. This research suggests the guidelines for how Restaurant Company should prepare SST and build their customer satisfaction and continuance usage that increase the sales. Research design, data and methodology: This study tests the structural relationship between SSTQUAL of unmanned ordering system, SST satisfaction and SST continuance usage. SSTQUAL divided into four sub-dimensions and two categories, cognitive service attributes (Convenience, Functionality) and affective service attributes (Enjoyment, Assurance). In order to achieve the purposes of this research, research model and hypotheses were developed based on previous researches. All constructs were measured with multiple items developed and tested in the previous studies. The data were collected from 524 customers experiencing SST and were analyzed through SPSS 25.0 and SmartPLS 3.0 statistical package program. Results: The findings of this research are as follows. First, all SSTQUAL have significant positive impacts on SST satisfaction. Second, SST satisfaction has significant positive impact on SST continuance intention. Third, cognitive service attributes and affective service attributes had wealth of explanation of service attribute more than a single dimension. Conclusions: The implications of this study are as follows. Overall, Restaurant Company should manage SSTQUAL consisting of not only cognitive service attributes (Convenience, Functionality) but also affective service attributes (Enjoyment, Assurance) to satisfy customers basically regardless of the type of restaurant.

The Effects of Perceived Justice of Service Recovery Efforts on the Customer Relationship Performance in Mobile Social Commerce (모바일 소셜 커머스에서 서비스 회복 노력의 공정성이 대고객 관계성과에 미치는 영향)

  • This paper aims to examine the effects of perceived justice of service recovery efforts on the customer relationship performance in mobile social commerce. To this end, we classified cognitive-affective trusts and post-recovery satisfaction into the customer relationship performance. This research employs a field survey of customers who experienced service failures in mobile social commerce and a covariance structural model analysis in order to test hypotheses of our research model. The findings present that all justices of service recovery efforts positively affect the cognitive trust, whereas the only procedural justice significantly influences the affective trust. In addition, the results show that cognitive-affective trusts have a positive effect on the post-recovery satisfaction. Our results suggest practical implications that are used to help managers maintain and improve relations with the customers who experienced service failures and to increase the post-recovery satisfaction.
