The purpose of this study is first, to see through the aesthetic essence of the clothing as art, through theoretical consideration of cultural feature and body style in Postmodern Feminism. Also, this study will examine the aesthetic value in artistic meaning regarding a Deformational body image in visual an. Second, this study will analysis the formative character of Modern Art to wear which expressed unfixed body style, followed by the change of Postmodern Feminity, as a Deformation image. This character will be categorized by Expansion, Grotesque, Pleasure, and Virtuality. The following is the result of this study. Expansion expressed in modern Art to wear created intentional structure of the form, and intentionally presented refusal of body existence through disembodied. Grotesque expressed refusal and deviation of women's ideal body style, which is defined by mannish discourse, very grotesquely. Pleasure pleasantly presented free emotion through an intentional transformation like distortion or imbalance of the body By paradoxically reproducing women's virtual body as other unfixed female identity was expressed visually through virtuality to embody post-gender.

This paper compares the French Gustave Flaubert (1821-1880) and the Vietnamese Vũ Trọng Phụng (1912-1939), and explores transformations of their aesthetic experiences that led to the autonomization of French literary field in the nineteenth century and Vietnamese in the early twentieth century. Inspired from the term "archive" coined by Michel Foucault, this article argues that Flaubert, in abandoning the bourgeois tastes, contested realism and built his own writing ideology and style, which is called subjective realism. On the other hand, it also argues that Vũ Trọng Phụng, through the popular report genre, he gained success and evolved his own novel writing style, aptly called the realism of speech. It is ostensible that the transformation in the two authors' writing style and aesthetic experience was derived from the way they distanced themselves from their contemporaries' common tastes while making use of free indirect speeches, all with the aim of granting readers the autonomy of reading.

As modern society advances, women's self-consciousness and attitudes toward beautiful appearances have changed. Amid this trend, the young and slim body of adolescent girls expressed in contemporary fashion incites fantasy on continuing youth among women. In modern society, women's youth is frequently regarded as a subject of consumption and a sex product in the mass media. In this regard, the study is focused on examining desire and psychology of worshipping women's youth and beauty in connection with flapper fashion in the 1920s. In the process, the study took a look at the social and cultural background of flapper fashion and conducted an analysis on formative characteristics and aesthetic sense of flapper fashion as follows: First, the formative characteristics include a short skirt that expresses straight lined shape and the beauty of exposure, lighter clothing, thick make-up, short hair style and black or vivid colors, and they lead to exceptional and innovative aesthetic sense in flapper fashion. Flapper fashion style is focused on completely denying outdated fashion worn by women in the age right before. Second, pursuit of mature, graceful and classical beauty that had continued in previous ages has gone through complete changes in the flapper era in the name of pursuit of youth, and the flapper fashion expresses sensual image through the exposure of slim arms and legs of a young girl. In the formative characteristics, aesthetic sense of youth and sensuality inherent in the flapper fashion was generated. Third, women's free-spirited lifestyle at that time and 'aesthetic sense of freedom and amusement that reflected the speed of machine civilization could be found in the flapper fashion. Material and decoration of the flapper fashion pertained to clothing that enabled a free expression through rapid movements. Aesthetic sense of the flapper fashion generated in the process could be defined as women's internal determination to express individual and free-spirited ideas through the use of fashion when tradition and order of the old age were torn down. And this aesthetic sense is continuously affecting modern fashion design.

This investigated the romanticism of Alessandro Michele who leads new trends in fashion industry as a creative director for Gucci. In this study, 307 women's wears exhibited by Alessandro Michele for 3 years in Milan collections from 2015 F/W to 2017 F/W are categorized according to the aesthetic characteristics of romanticism. Additionally, the five aesthetic features of Gucci's fashion design are an addition since the appearance of abnormally large size under the influence of postmodernism. The results based on the study purpose are as follows. First, the decoration makes the garments stand out by using fancy materials, splendid multicolor combination, applique embroidery and three-dimensional objects. Second, exotic style is expressed from an occidental perspective using Chinese traditional fashion or textiles, and exotic accessories. Thirdly, sensuality is manifested using see-through materials to emphasize women's breasts, or the beautiful and sexual expression of women's body. Fourth, the new creations are designed by combining contrasting elements, such as disparate materials and, different genders. Furthermore, traditional cultures like baroque and rococo, and the 1970's vintage looks inspires the creation of retro-style. Finally, the appearance of extremely large shoulders, silhouettes, and details of the human body can be explained with expansive tendency. The aforementioned results further suggest that diverse characteristics are expressed via reflection of contemporary art and trends.

The purposes of this study are to establish a theoretical concept of nudism from sociocultural context, to examine its formative characteristics, to analyze the cultural meaning of nudism style showing in the 2000's fashion world, and to analyze and examine its aesthetic qualities. The way of a study was based on analysis and review on philosophy, aesthetics, sociology, popular culture and various documents at home and abroad and previous study and research materials about art and clothes for theoretical study. Also, we carried out a case study by analyzing photo data from fashion books, magazines and internet websites, considering the body and dress as visual objects. The summary and conclusions of this study are as follows: 1. Nudism of the sociocultural context was divided into change of understanding of the body and liberation of the body; naturalism; resistant culture; psychoanalysis context. 2. The formative characteristics of nudism style in fashion are classified in Exposure, Transparency and Body Conscious. 3. The cultural meaning of nudism style expressed in the 2000's fashion are sexual opening, surfeit of mass media, pursuit of naturalism, lookism, and individualism. 4. Nudism style expressed in 2000's fashion is drawn as three aesthetic qualities: Eroticism, Primitivism and Futurism. First, Eroticism of nudism style fashion which seeks for sexual stimulus is classified in Sensualism, Provocation and Innocence. Second, Primitivism of nudism style fashion which tends towards naturalism objecting to mechanic and digital civilization and hoping for return to the origin is classified in Primitivism, Naturalism and Sensualism as per aesthetics qualities. Futurism which is the nudism style presenting futuristic expression through using a new material is analyzed as High Technology, Cyber Sexism and functional Future.

This study aims at looking into women's costume style seen in 18th century to 19th century, and reason out a major decoration, then the formative and aesthetic characteristics of the decoration were analyzed. Research results are same as follows. Firstly, the style of women's costumes in the 18th and 19th century includes the Rococo style, Polonaise style, Neo-classic style, Romantic style and Bustle-style. The main decorations shown in these styles are the gather pleats drape of Fold decoration, the flat embroidery quilting of embroidery decoration, and the ribbon braid fringe button feather and fur of attachment decoration. Secondly, the analyzed results found the formative and aesthetic characteristics of the decoration in the 18th and 19th century women's costumes. Fold decorations appeared as a voluminous property in the form of gown mantua jacket pelisse and dress. Especially, femininity and exaggeration were expressed through greatly inflated skirts. Embroidery decoration appeared as planarity by making patterns of gown mantua jacket stomacher overskirt coat dress shawl and dolman. Especially, exaggeration and extravagance were expressed through embroidered mantua surfaces with peony rose poppy primrose daffodil morning glory tulip leaf and lattice patterns in variety of colored silk threads. Attachment decorations were mixed with elements of heterogeneity added to jackets, coats, gowns, petticoats, stomachers, mantuas, pelisses, mantles, dolmans, capes, overskirts and dresses. In particular, exaggeration and extravagance strongly expressed through the decoration with white fox fur at the hemline, neckline and sleeves of cream colored silk dolman.

This study considers aesthetic characteristics by examining the fashion style of the silver fashion icon Iris Apfel. The research methods were a quantitative and qualitative analysis of Iris Apfel's images that were collected from 2015 to 2019 on various web-sites according to four criterions following advanced research analysis of fashion style. The results of the study are as follows. The analysis results on the fashion style of Iris Apfel, an icon of silver style, showed that cocoon, barrel and A-line silhouettes appeared most in terms of silhouettes. Second, in terms of colors, achromatic colors dominated among solid colors while one particular vivid color appeared most it came to mixed color. In terms of multi colors, these appeared according to the patterns applied to her clothing, in particular, colorful colors were used to emphasize splendor. Third, flower, bird and geometric patterns appeared most in terms of material patterns. Lastly, it was found that white short cut hair, large necklaces or bangle bracelets, over-sized black glasses and fur mufflers or canes were used in terms of hair and accessories. The features derived through analysis of the fashion style of Iris Apfel, an icon of silver style, are as follows. The first feature is exaggeration through splendid primary colors and over-sized silhouettes. The second feature is the hybrid of modern composition methods using natural images and exotic preferences. The third feature is her representation of identity using fixed items.

본 연구는 영화 <전우치>의 텍스트 분석을 통해 한국형 슈퍼히어로 영화의 영상 미학적 특성을 고찰하고 있다. 기본적으로 영상 미학이라 함은 이야기의 구조, 인물 그리고 미장센 등 다양한 요소들을 포함한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 영화<전우치>의 플롯구조에 대한 일차적 분석을 토대로 인물과 화면 등 기타 미학적 요소의 구성과 특징을 분석해 보았다. 본 연구가 특별히 영화 <전우치>를 텍스트로 선택한 이유는 기존의 할리우드 슈퍼히어로 영화와 비교될 만한 유사한 스토리 진행과 구성 그리고 장르적 스타일 때문이었다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해서 기존의 할리우드 슈퍼히어로 영화와 영화 <전우치> 사이에서의 공통된 영상미학적 특징들을 발견할 수 있었음과 동시에 국내 고전소설과 서구형 영웅장르의 새로운 접목으로 인한 제작상의 한계점 또한 존재함을 확인할 수 있었다.

This study probed into the fashion styling of modern girls who led fashion and revealed power of woman as the center of modernization in Korea. Methods included the theoretical study based on fashion related newspaper articles at the time, specialized publications, advance researches, and internet data and the empirical study that involved contents analysis centering on visual data, expert evaluation, and styling development and presentation. The image of Korean modern girl analysis found in the order of modern image, elegant image, classic image, mannish image, romantic image. The aesthetic characteristics could be classified into sensual classicism, modern elegance, feminist epicenism, and romantic simplicity. The theme was 'Retro Modern' and a total of 4 styles were applied. 'Progressive Tradition' expressed the aesthetic characteristics of sensual classicism and it gave a modern reinterpretation of the seamless one-piece skirt which is the modified Korean clothes of Korean modern girls. 'Luxe Beauty' expressed the aesthetic characteristics of modern elegance, and it developed the long and slim style which was popular in the 1930's in a trendy way. 'Dressy Avant-garde' expressed the aesthetic characteristics of feminist epicenism, and it suggested the mannish style Western clothes that Korean modern girls wore by following recent fashion trend. 'Minimal Couture' expressed the aesthetic characteristics of romantic simplicity and it presented the garçonne look which was popular in the 1920's by following recent trend.

남성들도 외모 추구스타일 변화, 그리고 외모관리행동과 그 추구가치에 상당한 변화가 나타났다고 보며 이에 대한 연구의 필요가 대두되었다. 이를 위해 남성들의 외모관리를 위한 정보 수용도와 이에 따른 추구가치별 특성을 분석하였다. 연구방법은 서울거주 직장인 남성 약 500명을 대상으로 온라인조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 다섯 가지 외모관리행동의 실용적 가치에 대한 추구 정도가 가장 높고, 미적 가치는 다른 두 개의 가치에 비해 외모관리행동 유형에 따라 매우 다르게 나타났다. 특히 피부관리 양식의 수용도는 다른 양식과는 달리 사회문화적 가치, 실용적 가치, 미적 가치 모두에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 미적가치 추구의 소극성과 실용적 가치와 사회문화적 가치의 중시 경향으로 나타났다. 헤어관리는 실용적 가치에 의해, 성형수술은 미적 가치에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 관리양식 부분에서는 피부관리 수용도만이 복합적 가치 추구에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 관리 양식별 마케팅으로는 헤어관리는 대규모 마케팅 캠페인이 오히려 효과적일 수 있으며, 성형 수술에 대한 비즈니스에 대해서는 좀 더 심미적 차원의 캠페인을 모색할 필요가 있다고 볼 수 있다.
