INTERACTIVE SYSTEM DESIGN USING THE COMPLEMENTARITY OF AXIOMATIC DESIGN AND FAULT TREE ANALYSIS

  • To efficiently design safety-critical systems such as nuclear power plants, with the requirement of high reliability, methodologies allowing for rigorous interactions between the synthesis and analysis processes have been proposed. This paper attempts to develop a reliability-centered design framework through an interactive process between Axiomatic Design (AD) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). Integrating AD and FTA into a single framework appears to be a viable solution, as they compliment each other with their unique advantages. AD provides a systematic synthesis tool while FTA is commonly used as a safety analysis tool. These methodologies build a design process that is less subjective, and they enable designers to develop insights that lead to solutions with improved reliability. Due to the nature of the two methodologies, the information involved in each process is complementary: a success tree versus a fault tree. Thus, at each step a system using AD is synthesized, and its reliability is then quantified using the FT derived from the AD synthesis process. The converted FT provides an opportunity to examine the completeness of the outcome from the synthesis process. This study presents an example of the design of a Containment Heat Removal System (CHRS). A case study illustrates the process of designing the CHRS with an interactive design framework focusing on the conversion of the AD process to FTA.

한국형 사전의료의향서 평가 (The Evaluation of the Korean Advance Directives (K-AD))

  • 목적: 본 연구는 일련의 연구들을 통해 제안된 한국형 사전의료의향서(K-AD)에 대해 일반인 등에 대한 수용성과 문서 자체의 신뢰도를 평가하고자 수행되었다. 방법: 연구 대상자는 3개 지역으로부터 편의 추출한 20세 이상 성인 181명이었다. 이들 모두에게 K-AD를 작성하게 한 후 시각상사척도 상으로 복잡성, 난이도, 필요성, 만족도, 추천도의 5개 측면을 평가하도록 하였고, 이중 117명의 중년과 노인 집단을 대상으로는 2주 후 다시 K-AD를 작성토록 하여 검사-재검사를 통한 문서자체의 신뢰도를 검증하였다. 결과: K-AD에 대한 전반적 및 5개 측면에서의 수용도는 100점 만점에 70점 이상으로 '중상' 정도의 수용성을 보였다. 검사-재검사 결과 kappa값은 0.592~0.950로 일치도는 moderate 이상인 것으로 나타났다. 덧붙여 K-AD 작성 결과 우리나라 성인의 임종기 의료와 관련한 가치관으로는 고통 없이 편안하게 임종을 맞는 것이 가장 많이 보고되었고 가치관, 의료 지시, 대리인 지정 모두에서 젊은 성인, 중년, 노인 집단별로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 결론: 본 연구 결과 K-AD는 가용한 문서로 평가되었다. 따라서 앞으로 더 다양한 집단을 대상으로 K-AD를 검증할 필요성이 있고 본 문서의 정착과 확산을 위한 연구와 노력이 요구된다.

OFDMA-Based Reliable Multicast MAC Protocol for Wireless Ad-Hoc Networks

  • Compared with unicast, multicast over wireless ad-hoc networks do not support reliability due to their inability to exchange request-to-send/clear-to-send (RTS/CTS) and ACK packets with multiple recipients. Although several media access control (MAC) layer protocols have been proposed to provide reliable multicast, these introduce additional overhead, which degrades system performance. A novel MAC protocol for reliable wireless multicast is proposed in this paper. By adapting orthogonal frequency division multiple access characteristics in CTS and ACK packets, the protocol achieves reliability over wireless multicast with minimized overhead.

제품 관여도에 따른 개그맨 광고 모델 사용이 브랜드 선호도, 구매 의도에 미치는 영향: 인쇄 광고를 중심으로 (Effect that Gagman Advertisement Model Use by Product Involvement gets in Brand Preference, Purchase Intention)

  • Appearing gagman on various ads are presently experienced in domestic market both high involvement and low involvement products ads. Therefore, this research attempts to analyze the effectiveness of using gagman ad model in terms of building brand preference and purchasing intention among target audience. Results of this study proposed the basement of practical use when gagman is selected as a ad model in the field. For testing hypotheses attractiveness, reliability, like/dislike as dependent variables and as independent variable purchasing intention were selected. The result of analysis shows that for high involvement product reliability influenced on brand like/dislike and attractiveness of gagman model is effective to enhance purchasing intention. For low involvement product only like/dislike was significant. This can be interpreted gagman ad model is useful for building brand like/dislike and purchasing intention of high involvement product when gagman has reliability and attractiveness respectively, while for low involvement product, like and dislike is the only variable to be considered in choosing gagman ad model.

지역사회 거주 치매환자에서 한국판 삶의 질 -알쯔하이머병 척도 개발을 위한 예비연구 (A Preliminary Study on the Korean Version of Quality of Life-Alzheimer's Disease (QOL-AD) Scale in Community-dwelling Elderly with Dementia)

  • Objectives: The Quality of Life-Alzheimer's Disease (QOL-AD) scale is a reliable and valid tool for assessing the quality of life (QOL) in the elderly with dementia. This study aimed to develop the Korean version of Quality of Life-Alzheimer's Disease (KQOL-AD) scale for the demented elderly living in the community. Methods: KQOL-AD was administered to two groups: 24 demented elderly and 72 cognitively impaired elderly with no dementia (CIND) who were living in the community Each elderly person and their caregiver rated the elderly QOL. The Korean version of mini-mental state examination (MMSE-K), the clinical dementia rating (CDR), the activities of daily living (ADL), and the neuropsychiatric inventory (NPI) were also assessed. The reliability and validity of the KQOL-AD were examined. Results: In the dementia group, the internal consistency (Cronbach's $\alpha$), the split half and the test-retest reliabilities of the KQOL-AD were excellent. Scores on the KQOL-AD were significantly correlated with the scores of the NPI, but they were not significantly correlated with scores of the MMSE-K, CDR and ADL. In addition, the CIND group showed similar results to the dementia group. Conclusions: KQOL-AD might be a reliable and valid instrument for assessing QOL in the elderly with dementia It could be used as an important outcome measure for research on the demented elderly.

  • An optimum design algorithm using efficient reanalysis is proposed for reliability-based optimization problems formulated as the minimization of initial cost and expected failure cost with reliability constraints. The reliability-based optimization is high cost to evaluate objective function and constraints needed reliability analysis. Therefore the sensitivity analysis of reliability index for approximated reanalysis is necessary. In this paper, three solution approaches are suggested and tested. The approaches include : (1) sensitivity analysis using finite difference; (2) sensitivity analysis using automatic differentiation (AD); and (3) sensitivity analysis with respect to intermediate variables using AD. Numerical example is optimized to show the reliability and effectiveness of the new algorithm.

SNS 광고 구성요인이 광고 신뢰도와 구매의도에 미치는 영향: 페이스북을 중심으로 (The Effects of SNS Advertisement Constituents on Advertising Reliability and Purchase Intention: Focusing on Facebook)

  • 본 연구는 페이스북 광고 구성요인이 무엇인지 알아보고, 이들 요인들중 광고 신뢰도와 구매의도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇인지 확인하였다. 이를 위한 자료 수집은 페이스북 이용자들을 대상으로 이루었다. 수집된 자료는 탐색적 요인분석과 다중 회귀분석을 통해 결과를 도출 하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 페이스북 광고 구성요인은 광고 흥미성, 맞춤 정보성, 광고 노출성, 주변인 반응성, 제품후기 정보성의 5개 요인으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 광고 신뢰도에는 광고 구성요인 중 맞춤 정보성이 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 그러나 광고 노출성은 광고 신뢰도에 부적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 구매의도에는 맞춤 정보성과 광고 흥미성이 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 이상의 연구결과는 페이스북 광고의 이론적 발전과 페이스북 광고 전략 수립을 위한 기초자료를 제공하였다는 실무적 함의를 갖는다.

애드 혹 링크 신뢰도(Reliability) 기반 라우팅 기법 (Routing Based on Ad Hoc Link Reliability)

  • 애드 혹 네트워크는 라우터처럼 동작하는 모바일 노드들로 이루어진 그룹이다. 이러한 애드 혹 노드는 이동성이 전제되어 있기 때문에, 데이터가 전송되는 도중 경로가 끊어지기 쉽고, 이로 인한 경로 재설정 및 패킷 재전송 등의 네트워크 오버헤드를 유발시킨다. 그러나, 대부분의 애드 혹 라우팅 프로토콜들은 홉 수만을 고려한 경로를 설정한다. 본 논문에서는 링크 신뢰도에 기반하여, 시작 노드에서 목적지 노드로 데이터 패킷을 전송하기 위해 경로상의 노드들이 실제로 패킷을 전송하는 횟수(SNT)를 비용 인자로 사용한다. 이것은 신뢰도가 낮은 링크로 인한 재전송 횟수를 포함한다. 본 논문에서는 새로운 인자 SNT를 통해 모바일 애드 혹 네트워크에 적합한 효율적인 라우팅 프로토콜을 제안한다.

  • Ad(advertisement) is a gateway that makes the public recognize enterprises, and a tool that can maximize customers' interest. How this kind of Ad is delivered to consumers governs an enterprise's image or goods' reliability. That's why enterprises spend much money in advertising their products in various ways such as TV Ad, newspaper Ad, magazine Ad, placards and so on Accordingly, this study intends to look at Game Ad among a number of Ads, which enables game users to enjoy games at low expense and at the same time makes them naturally recognize enterprises images or product PR.

국내 TBM굴진속도 산정을 위한 경험적 방법들의 적용성 분석 (Applicability Analysis of Empirical Methods for the Calculation of TBM Advance Rate)

  • In order to introduce to engineers the suitable calculation techniques of TBM advance rate (ad.) and ultimately promote to understand the designing process, this study was carried out. We analyzed the 17 bored data of TBM which applied to the roadway and water supply tunnels in Korea. From this analysis, it was able to how that the average utilization is 30.83% md the correlation equation of Ad and TBM´s diameter (D) is Ad(m/month) = 506.05ㆍ $e^{-0.1162}$$\times$D than the correlation coefficient ($R^2$) is 0.76. In the object of the W tunnel of Seoul-Busan highspeed railway, the Ad of TBM 5.0mø was analyzed by the variety of empirical models and upper correlation equation. Average Ad of the empirical models was calculated to be larger than one of the upper equations. But considering only the results of 3.0~5.0mø TBM in the 17 bored data, the average Ad by the models belongs to the similar range of bored data. Therefore, when the reliability and representative of parameters are decreased, a reliability test should be carried out through the comparison a variety of empirical models with the upper correlation equation.
