This article deals with one of the pansori master's life and activities. Bak Songhui(1927~2017), who was the holder of National Intangible Cultural Asset No. 5 for pansori Heungboga. She had played a significant role through the modern history of pansori genre including Yeoseong Gukkeuk(Korean classical opera by women) and Changgeuk(Korean traditional opera in pansori style) as well as original pansori itself. In the article, the early stage of her learnings and the way she got involved to pansori from Gwonbeon period are offered, and the activities by group, solo recitals, and educational activity lists are also provided. Bak Songhui began to learn pansori, Geommu(dance), Seungmu(dance), Gayageum, Yanggeum, and Gagok genres at her age of 13 in Gwangju. She fulfilled 5 years of study in Gwangju Gwonbeon, and entered to a Hyeomnyulsa-travelling theater company, led by Gim Yeonsu at her age around 19. Later, Bak used to be an actress in Yeoseong Gugak Donghohoe(Female Korean music fans' club) led by Gim sohui as well as in Haennim Gukkeukdan, and Saehan Gukkeukdan at around her age of 30. She took the main actress' role in several performances. And thanks to her effort, the Yeoseong Gukkeuk can be one of the representative genre in history. As she entered to the National Changgeuk company, her brilliant talents worked well by leading the company's big hit with her talents of taking many different characters, devotions, and know-hows from her experience. After her 70s, she kept the pansori go on its right way to pass down. She unfolded pansori performances as well as her own students' public presentations, recordings, TV and radio broadcasting activities as the holder of National Intangible Cultural Asset. The activities that Bak Songhui showed us can become another chance to make her a great master of pansori, especially in Dongpyeonje style.

Persona is an actor's external ego constructed by playing various roles, and his/her another self-portrait in the eyes of the audience. This study was conducted to analyze persona identity containing core persona(CP) and to gain implications for the growth strategy of the actress Son Ye-jin called "melo queen" by verifying consistency between the CP and audience responses to her starring works of the past. According to the related theories and models, the persona was firstly set as image, visuality, personality and consistency, and it was used to extract and sort descriptive texts about Son related news articles in the last 5 years of the six major Korean newspapers using the content analysis method. After that, we analyzed the number of viewers of her movies and the audience share of her dramas by genre. As a result, Son's persona components were found to have a proportion for 54.2% images (34.0% for melo and romance images, 20.2% for non-melo and romance images), 25.6% for visibility, 13.8% for consistency, and 6.4% for personality. Her CP was derived from a melo and romance image. Comparing this with the audience reaction, the melo romance genre dominated and showed consistency in the drama, but in the case of the film, the non-melo romance was dominant and did not match each other. The results were attributed to a wide gap between dramas and movies in terms of key viewers, box office factors, degree of genre hybridity and experimentality. Therefore, Son should actively use her CP in the drama and challenge the various roles in order to expand her persona spectrum in the film.

This study aims to model Korean prosodic phrasing using CART(classification and regression tree) method. Our data are limited to Korean read speech. We used 400 sentences made up of editorials, essays, novels and news scripts. Professional radio actress read 400sentences for about two hours. We used K-ToBI transcription system. For technical reason, original break indices 1,2 are merged into AP. Differ from original K-ToBI, we have three break index Zero, AP and IP. Linguistic information selected for this study is as follows: the number of syllables in ‘Eojeol’, the location of ‘Eojeol’ in sentence and part-of-speech(POS) of adjacent ‘Eojeol’s. We trained CART tree using above information as variables. Average accuracy of predicting NonIP(Zero and AP) and IP was 90.4% in training data and 88.5% in test data. Average prediction accuracy of Zero and AP was 79.7% in training data and 78.7% in test data.

The purpose of this study is to fashion-design the image of Cleopatra on the basis of Cleopatra's characteristic, clothing and its symbolic meaning shown in movie . In movie , Cleopatra(69B.C-30B.C) is described as passionate, intelligent, dignified person and even as enchantress. Costume that Cleopatra wears compound the type of ancient Egyptian costume in New Kingdom, the change of it, and the trend in the 1960's. Their color and pattern also symbolizes religion by adding ancient Egyptian myths to show the absolute royal authority. Therefore, design concepts, determined on the base of Cleopatra's characteristic and symbol meaning, are applied to make creative costume with Cleopatra's image of God Isis. In order to show Cleopatra's dignity, confidence, territorial ambition, black is used as a general base color. To represend Cleopatra's passion and the image of Isis, red is used. And the word 'Kemeto' represents all these symbols. As a whole, dress named 'Kemeto of Cleopatra' is designed and created.

The purpose of this study is to find the character of Cleopatra (69 B.C-30 B.C) by analyzing materials about Cleopatra, and to figure out symbolism and costume presented in movie . Costume of the main character, Cleopatra, compound the type of Egyptian traditional clothes, the change of it, and the trend in the 1960's. And, the symbolic meaning of it is also reinforced by adding ancient Egyptian myth to it. This kind of symbol is usually represented in Cleopatra clothing, especially in weaving pattern, embroidery, and ornament. And color of the clothes not only have their on predominance, but also can have their meaning fade away by mixed with each other, and also the shape has relation with the meaning of color. To sum up, the color and pattern of ancint Egyptian Cleopatra as alive formalize the power that come from coherence with the sun god in the center, which a used to maintain the power of the king. Costume in movie also contained color and pattern as a symbol of religion to symbolize the absolute power of king. These kinds of symbols are reemerging through historical recurrences and exotic interests.

The present study analyzed the factors affecting the box office performance of movies in the Chinese market in 2010~2014. A total of 499 movies were selected for the final analyses. Based on the previous studies, genre, actor/actress power, director power, sequel, remake, release period, award, online evaluation, distributor power, and production area were chosen as independent variables. Regression analyses showed that most of the independent variables except for distributor power were found to affect box office performance of the movies.

Lots of audience turn their eyes upon musical to satisfy various cultural desire. It is popular culture that was watched in culture contents industry. The stage costume which turn audience's eyes in musical the most is the sight art of stage to express visually actor(actress)'s personality, mental state, administrative position, age and the distinction of sex. This study researches designed stage costume which was based on time backgrounds and historical facts of reinvented clothes and its ornaments in Egypt by 'Sonia Rykiel' through musical, 'ten commandments' with special times. We collected home and abroad documentary records, Internet data. Moreover we viewed performance to analyze stage costume and brochure photograph data to study. In consequence the stage costume of musical 'ten commandments' found its way out of traditional clothes and its ornaments largely. We can recognize the stage costume as the most important part in drama by explaining the content on drama as costume through reinvented shape with modern sense and by taking charge of the principal part to lead atmosphere. In addition, thanks to the creative work of designer for stage costume, we can realize important intermediation to make higher artistic value of musical.

The purpose of this study is to reconstruct upper class women's costume of 'Mongol-pung' and 'Goryeo-yang' in a civilization-exchanged period between Mongolia and Korea, for making movie or soap opera costume and historical animation. 'Mongol-pung' was a cultural influence from Mogolia to Korea. For example, sleeveless bi-gap(比甲) and half-sleeved dap-ho(搭忽) were put on by many women at that time. On the basis of old literature, I suggest a 'Mongol-pung' costume as a set of seeran-chulrik(膝欄 terlig), em-broidered bigap, dapho of meat-red color for women. 'Goryeo-yang' was a cultural influence from Korea to Mongolia. Due to old poem of Yuan, 'Short outer Jacket with square neckline, half sleeves, and clear color(方領過腰半臂)' was a representative of 'Goryeo-yang' in Mongolian royal women's costumes. Many women were dressed in it with short inner jacket and wide skirt. In the case of making soap opera costume, the budget of broadcasting station, appearence of nowaday's actor and actress, similarity between old fabric and modern fabric must be considered altogether.

Troublesome problems are being caused by hallucinogenic drugs which come not only from illegal narcotics but also from unprohibited general drug-kinds such as cough-remedy agents of textromerupan, namely, Lamina, Rubi-king and the likes. Abuse and misuse of narcotics permeated into and threatens mental health of socially-known peoples, actor, actress, talents and businessmen as well. This study especially dealt with problems related with Mesampetamin, Rurajaepam, Texstrometropan and Karisofrodol which affects mental behaviour, and considered counter-measures through analysis and developed appropriate system of goods circulation for guidance to be complied by the medicine professionalists. The guidance sought here is recommended to the government ministries for further enforcement of crack-down of the drug crimes. Arquesa in method is recommend as a method of identifying behaviors and facial expressions of abusers and misusers of narcotics at the spot in place. This study is directed to curtailing hallucinogenic drugs use for absolute preventive security by detecting out black dealers of narcotics supplying to the abusers and misusers. There is a need of special education program to cut off the flow of narcotics or drugs crimes into official security force as well as private security personnel. This study introduced a priority and emphasis of real augmentation to theory and practice of the modern scientific security which can protect the mental health of the guarded persons as well especially in the light of security safety curriculum at the school.

This study is an attempt to examine fashion elements appearing in the cover-page design of fashion magazines published in Korea and aims to find Korea#s own fashion identity in fashion styling and designing of those fashion magazines. In order to do so, the study reviewed the related literature and analyzed the issues of Vogue and Harper#s Bazaar magazines published between 2004 and 2006. The results of the study can be summarized as follows: In case of fashion photographs, the largest number of 72 sampled cover-model photographs is in approximately three-quarter cut size. For the items, most take the form of one-piece dress and feature the use of a variety of accessories. In case of dresses, most are the creations of foreign designers and famous fashion models or celebrities show up, mostly alone, as features on the cover pages. Because of the nature of fashion magazines, their primary emphasis is put on the dress among other things, but on the other hand some of those magazines have differential cover pages where the model#s face is highlighted with the look of makeup or a famous female actress stands out. However, the fashion in designing the cover pages of magazines is, rather than to show the dress itself, to create a new combination of different elements as total fashion or convey an image based on such a fashion style.
