Designing a Magnetically Controlled Soft Gripper with Versatile Grasping Based on Magneto-Active Elastomer

  • A composite bionic soft gripper integrated with electromagnets and magneto-active elastomers is designed by combining the structure of the human hand and the snake's behavior of enhancing friction by actively adjusting the scales. A silicon-based polymer containing magnetized hard magnetic particles is proposed as a soft finger, and it can be reversibly bent by adjusting the magnetic field. Experiments show that the length, width, and height of rectangular soft fingers and the volume ratio of neodymium-iron-boron have different effects on bending angle. The flexible fingers with 20 vol% are the most efficient, which can bend to 90° when the magnetic field is 22 mT. The flexible gripper with four fingers can pick up 10.51 g of objects at the magnetic field of 105 mT. In addition, this composite bionic soft gripper has excellent magnetron performance, and it can change surface like snakes and operate like human hands. This research may help develop soft devices for magnetic field control and try to provide new solutions for soft grasping.

  • SRM의 특성 중 비선형성으로 인해 최대토크 및 최소 토크 맥동 형성을 위한 적정 운전이 어렵다. 또한 고정 스위칭각 제어 때 속도 가변에 따른 토크 형성이 불안정하여 효율을 저하시키는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 속도 가변에 따른 능동적인 스위칭각 제어가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 SRM의 비선형성으로 인한 문제점으로부터 선행각 (Advance angle)의 자동제어에 의한 토크 리플 저감과 이에 따른 출력 토크 향상에 의한 구동 성능개선을 위한 방법에 대해 모색하였다. 또한 히스테리시스 전류제어기 성능에 따른 스위칭 가변으로 인한 SRM의 최적 운전에 대해 살펴보았다.

Double Two Switch Forward Transformer-Linked Soft-Switching PWM DC-DC Power Converter with Tapped Inductor Filters

  • This paper presents a novel circuit topology of the double two-switch forward type high frequency transformer linked soft-switching PWM DC-DC power converter with tapped inductor filters that can operate under a condition of the low peak voltage stress across the power semiconductor devices and lowered peak current stress through the transformer for some high power applications. This circuit topology of an interleaved two-switch forward soft-switching power converter is proposed in the order to minimize an idle circulating current due to the tapped inductor filter without of any additional active auxiliary resonant-assisted snubber circuits, such as active resonant DC link snubbers and AC link snubbers, active resonant commutation leg link snubbers. The unique advantages of this power converter are less power circuit components and power semiconductor devices, constant frequency PWM scheme, cost effective configuration and wider soft-switching PWM operation range under PWM power regulations load variations. The practical effectiveness of the proposed soft-switching converter circuit topology is tested by simulations and is proved by experimental results received from the 500W-100kHz breadboard setup.

능동 자기 베어링을 위한 동기 노치필터 제어기와 스위칭 제어기의 성능 비교 연구 (Comparative Study of Performance of Switching Control and Synchronous Notch Filter Control for Active Magnetic Bearings)

  • 능동 자기베어링의 바이어스 선형화 방법은 자기베어링의 동역학적 성능과 선형성을 확보하지만, 바이어스 전류에 의한 상시 소모전력이 발생하여 시스템의 효율이 저하된다. 반면, 스위칭 제어기는 바이어스 전류를 사용하지 않아 베어링의 소비 전력을 최소화할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 능동 자기베어링 시스템에 적용되는 스위칭 제어기와 동기 노치필터를 포함하는 비례-미분 제어기의 성능을 비교하였다. 공정하고 객관적인 비교를 위해 기준제어기인 동기 노치필터 제어기를 합리적으로 설계하고, 스위칭 제어기가 기준제어기와 동일한 동역학 특성을 갖도록 하였다. 회전축의 굽힘 유연모드 및 센서와 증폭기의 특성을 포함하는 시스템의 동역학 모델을 수립하고 성능 비교 지표를 수립하였다. 불평형 질량에 응답 측면에서 제어기를 비교하여, 저속 영역에서 스위칭 제어기가 기준제어기 대비 10 배 이상 동손을 저감할 수 있으나, 회전축의 굽힘 유연모드와 일치하는 회전 속도 근방에서는 스위칭 제어기가 유효하지 않음을 확인하였다.

An Improved Active Damping Method with Capacitor Current Feedback

  • Proportional capacitor current feedback active damping (CCFAD) has a limited valid damping region in the discrete time domain as (0, $f_s/6$. However, the resonance frequency ($f_r$) of an LCL-type filter is usually designed to be less than half the sampling frequency ($f_s$) with the symmetry regular sampling method. Therefore, ($f_s/6$, $f_s/2$) becomes an invalid damping region. This paper proposes an improved CCFAD method to extend the valid damping region from (0, $f_s/6$ to (0, $f_s/2$), which covers all of the possible resonance frequencies in the design procedure. The full-valid damping region is obtained and the stability margin of the system is analyzed in the discrete time domain with the Nyquist criterion. Results show that the system can operate stably with the proposed CCFAD method when the resonance frequency is in the region (0, $f_s/2$). The performances at the steady and dynamic state are enhanced by the selected feedback coefficient H and controller gain $K_p$. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed CCFAD method are verified by simulation and experimental results.

익일 빌딩 부하 예측 기능을 갖는 빌딩에너지관리시스템 (Building Energy Management System with Next Day Demand Forecasting of Building Load)

  • 본 연구에서는 익일부하예측 기능을 갖는 빌딩에너지관리시스템을 제시한다. 기존의 빌딩에너지 관리시스템은 빌딩내의 다양한 인프라를 이용하여 에너지를 감시 한다 그러나 이러한 시스템을 구현하기 위해서는 많은 인프라 구축비용이 소요 되어, 에너지 절감을 위한 인프라 구축비용과 실제 절감된 전기 요금을 비교 할 경우, 에너지 절감을 위해 투자한 비용을 전기 요금 절약으로 회수하는데 수년이 걸리고, 또한 인프라 설비 유지 보수를 고려할 경우, 결과적으로 에너지 절약 효과가 미비하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 보다 저렴하고 합리적인 방법으로 빌딩의 에너지 소비를 억제할 수 있도록, 기상청데이터와 한전의 ISmart 데이터를 기반으로 데이터마이닝기법을 이용하여 빌딩의 익일 부하 사용량을 예측하고 이를 기반으로 빌딩 부하의 On/Off를 수행하도록 빌딩에너지관리시스템을 구현함으로써 상대적으로 저렴한 비용으로 빌딩에너지 사용의 합리화를 이루도록 하였다.

인터넷 판매를 통한 생활한복의 활성화 연구 (A Study on active use of Daily Hanbok through sales on The Internet)

  • This study was conducted from Sep., 1999. to Nov., 1999. It researched approximately 60 specialized manufacturers who had homepages on the Internet. Of the 60 manufacturers, 20 of them were chosen for the study all of whom had relatively were made homepages that were geared towards sales. 1. Daily Hanboks on the homepages were put in an electronic catalog. They were photographed and well described. Each picture could be enlarged when needed. 2. The Hanbok's were made for men, women and children. There were every couple's Hanboks. The Hanboks used natural material, mixed spinning and chemical textile, which was easily kept and washed. It was intended, as clothes for everyday wear Silk was used for formal clothes. 3. The prices ranged from low-middle to high clothing for everyday life is reasonable and street wear and formal dresses are priced high. The color of the dresses are not vibrant, but natural and light. As Hanboks become more in demand, there will be more choices available. 4. As matter of the sizes shows weakness. In general they use the western size system. The purpose of this study is to show the direction that Hanbok manufacturers may take for the internet sales and for being more active to promote the spread of the dress. This research came to the fellowing conclusion. Even though Hanbok manufacturers operate homepages. it seems that they are not well used. However, many internet shopping malls have been opened and they have put Daily Hanboks into one of their sales categories. The internet malls are getting more active and are expanding more. Therefore the market value of the Hanboks in the future look optimistic. If smaller sized manufacturers of Daily Hanbok's establish cooperative network that have no time and space limit, they can use the strong power of the market as the market development for Daily Hanboks is endless.

  • In case of environment requiring safety such as human body and requiring flexible shape, a conventional mechanical actuator system does not satisfy requirements. Therefore, in order to solve these problems. a research of various smart material such as EAP (Electro Active Polymer), EAC (Electro Active Ceramic) and SMA (Shape Memory Alloy) is in progress. Recently, the highest preferring material among various smart material is EP (Electrostictive Polymer), because it has very fast response time, powerful force and large displacement. The previous researches have been studied properties of polymer and simple control, but present researches are studied a polymer actuator. An EP (Electostrictive Polymer) actuator has properties which change variably ils shape and environmental condition. Therefore, in order to coincide with a user's purpose, it is important not only to decide a shape of actuator and mechanical design but also to investigate a efficient controller. In this paper, we constructed the control logic with an adaptive fuzzy algorithm which depends on the physical properties of EP that has a dielectric constant depending on time. It caused for a sub-actuator to operate at the same time that a sub-actuator system operation increase with a functional improvement and control efficiency improvement in each actuator, hence it becomes very important to manage it effectively and to control the sub-system which Is operated effectively. There is a limitation on the management of Main-host system which has multiple sub-system, hence it brings out the Multi-Vehicle Control process that disperse the task efficiently. Controlling the multi-dispersion system efficiently, it needs the research of Main-host system's scheduling, data interchange between sub-actuators, data interchange between Main-host system and sub-actuator system, and data communication process. Therefore in this papers, we compared the fuzzy controller with the adaptive fuzzy controller. also, we applied the scheduling method for efficient multi-control in EP Actuator and the algorithm with interchanging data, protocol design.

다중인터페이스 다중채널 2.4GHz 능동형 RFID 리더 프로토콜 구현방법에 관한 연구 (A Study about Implementation Method of Multi-Interface Multi-Channel 2.4GHz Active RFID Reader Protocol)

  • 다중인터페이스, 다중채널 2.4GHz 능동형 RFID시스템에서 리더가 태그들을 수집할 때, 특정 인터페이스로 태그가 집중화되는 문제가 발생한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 인터페이스 간 부하 분산 프로토콜인 LP-결합과 AP-균형 프로토콜을 설계하고 시뮬레이션을 통하여 성능의 우수성을 보였다. 설계된 프로토콜들을 펌웨어레벨의 하드웨어에서 구현하기에는 세 가지 문제를 가진다. 첫째, 태그가 랜덤하게 리더의 채널을 선택하고, 리더가 태그의 채널을 변경시킬 수 있는 방법이 필요하다. 둘째, 리더와 태그 간 동기 문제이다. 셋째, 하나의 MCU가 2개의 인터페이스를 동시에 동작시키는 문제이다. 이 같은 문제를 해결하기위해 태그 채널 변경을 위한 메시지 설계 및 태그 채널 변경 방법과 리더와 태그 간 동기를 맞추기 위한 프로토콜을 구현했다. 그리고 실험을 통해 프로토콜의 성능을 비교 분석 하였다. LP윈도우크기가 같을 경우, 부하분산을 통해 충돌 확률을 낮게 하는 LP-결합, AP-균형의 성능이 단일인터페이스보다 우수했다.

  • This paper deals with power factor of doubly fed induction generator for wind power generation in range of sub- and super-synchronous speed. To supply active and reactive power to grid. stator is connected to grid directly and rotor is connected to back-to-back PWM inverter for excitation. According to excitation level. DFIG could operate at the different mode. i.e., unity, leading, and lagging power factor.
